The Wolf and the Howl: Dragon Sledding (Comic Short)

The first snows of winter had come to Berk. Though devastating winter had yet to hit, these soon-to-melt-again snows were still welcome for Whisper and her Woolly Howl Winterwind, who had both been waiting for this moment since spring. While their young charge, the Groncicle Icevein, ran off to enjoy the snow, they were celebrating with Whisper’s best human friend, Norbert, and his Shivertooth Frostclaws…in style!

Norbert: Ready, set, GO!

Icevein: *from a distance* Wait, what in the world…?

Whisper: Ha ha ha!

Icevein: *thoughtfully* Hmm…

Norbert: Woohoo!

Winterwind: Cliff!

Whisper: Whew, that wouldn’t have been a fun landing! Nice catch, Winterwind.

Whisper: Where’s Norbert?

WHOOSH!

Whisper: Wha!

Norbert: Haha! Yeah!

Frostclaws: *joyful roar*

Whisper: *smirks* Showoff.

(Again)

Frostclaws: Again!

Norbert: Alright, buddy! Hey, what’s that?

Icevein: Oh, my goodness, this is AWESOME!

Whisper: Oh, Icevein! *throws back head and laughs*

Winterwind: *laughs*

Icevein: He he!

Yes, it was a fine day for everyone, and Whisper just loved every minute of it. After all, what makes this cold time of year so special is the warmth it inspires us to share.

Oh, my goodness, you're right! Such a cute (and admittedly cheesy) moment, but those screenshots were hard! They took me about 10 minutes each! Screenshot, grumble, redo. For ten minutes. For a total of two usable shots (Norbert - also did this for his blushing and "huh" moments, which are the same shot). And then do it again for another shot (Whisper). O_O AGH!

This little moment actually started out as a dream I had, and then I wanted to make it a comic. I think that's why I put so much energy into it, because I felt like I had actually done it, so I'm glad it comes through! I even had these songs going through my head while I was writing and screenshoting it (the links should open in a different tab):

(A tad bit jealous...why, oh, why did the Woolly Howl have to be only a game dragon? No good pictures to use for Snoggletog edits and no good gifs to use for snow flying.) :/

Nice short Whisper, I could for some reason picture that in animation. Probably due to the fact that I had seen that before in riders of berk it was in one of the first few episodes I cant remember which though :p. Anyway amazing shots and Nice editing on that last one Owl It was very well made
