What are your favorite bands/songs?
I'm curious as to what everyone's favorite bands and favorite songs are. Hopefully, you can find someone who has the same music tastes as you do and you can talk about them!
I'll go first. My favorite band at the moment is Ghost, and my favorite song at the moment is Year Zero. I love screaming out "Hail Satan" and seeing everybody's reaction to it. The song also is an absolute bop.

Be papared for many unheard of bands!
Jamie soles (okay not a band but I like how he tells bible stories through songs that still are fun for older people)
.........................................................................
.........................................................................
.............................................................................
Wait, I don't have a lot of bands that I like... Only Musicals! :D (everyone face palms as they relize I'm about to break out in SONG AND DANCE, AND SWEET ROMANCE! A POPPY PIECE RELISING ALL YOUR BLUSICALS!!!!!! .... Uhem. Sorry 'bout that)
Newsies,
Phantom (the music, the story itself is odd)
Le Mis (look above)
Sound of music
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Decentents (a disney movie but also the songs are good)
Disney Movies
And many more! (although I mostly said the more well known ones.)
Sorry! I simply don't have very many bands that I like. I'm sure I'll think of some as soon as I send this but oh well.
I can HEAR that Something Rotten reference. Also I have to add onto your list with Hamilton, Legally Blonde, Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, the adaptation of Hunchback, Grease and WICKED.
XD Yeah... I havn't acturally watched it but I ended up doing a version of it for a verity show. It wasa very fun to do. :)
Oh My Goodness. How could I have forgotten Hamilton?!!? I'm adding to that list hamilton, wicked, west side story (which I somehow forgot XD) and The lightning theif (which is AWSOME! Have you heard of it? It's based off of Percy Jackson). And then the one's that I only like the music too (and not the plot) Include Hunchback, and a few others
Then I've heard a few songs from the others but I like watching musicals that have a slightly more family friendly plot (which is why Le mis is only there for the music, which is fantastic!) At some point in time I'll probably watch LB and LSH. :) But Today, is not that day.
How to train your dragon really got me into the more Norwegion music. Especially some of those bagpipe songs. Other than that, I guess one of my favorites is If I Were A Bird.
Okay this thread involves music, I want to join in!
So, I'd say that currently my favourite bands are:
The Beatles (Favourite songs are Here, There and Everywhere, Nowhere Man and You've Got To Hide Your Love Away)
5 Seconds Of Summer ( Long Way Home, Old Me, Lie To Me and Want You Back)
And finally.. The 1975 ( She Way Out, Don't Worry and Settle Down)
I like any music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. I'm a bit more picky with the music of today but whatever.
I have lot of them and it's hard to choose so here are some: Skillet
Creature Feature Disturbed
Blind Guardian
Three Days Grace
Set It Off
frick, where to start?
I like Cavetown, Panic! at the Disco, Skillet, Fitz and the Tantrums, and soooooo much more.
Oh boy where do I begin... Ok these are NOT in order!!!
Three Doors Down:
Kryptonite
Here Without You
Three Days Grace:
The album of One X is awesome(this band swears a lot so I don't recommend them to kids or to people that don't like swearing)
Linkin Park:
I still prefer their older albums.
Nickleback:
Savin Me
Far Away
How You Remind Me
Photograph (language in this song)
Must Stand Together (We Stand Together? Lol I'm going by memory)
Lullaby
Never Gonna Be Alone
(I have more by them just can't think of the names I'll edit it this later)
David Archuleta (his new album is AMAZING! I highly recommend him to all ages! He never swears fyi)
Now onto the classic music.
How To Train Your Dragon:
Romantic Flight
The Hidden World (song)
(I love the others too (including Where No One Goes and Goodbye or something like that lol) but those two are so beautiful and well done!
Kung Fu Panda:
Oogway Ascends
Two Steps From He.ll (just music no lyrics)
Hans Zimmer (he isn't a band but I love all the songs he made for different movies! He might have done music in one of your favorite movies :D)
Batman (animated and live action)
Batman Beyond
Avengers (only the live action)
I guess I'll just chuck down a few of the ones I've had on repeat over the last few days...
Some of these songs are not suitable for young ears, so please listen with caution.
I'll add to this as I think of more, but at the moment, this is all I've been listening to over the last few days...

My faverite song is Feed the Machine from Red. It turns out this is the only song I come back to and enjoy even after I get bored of it. It's fresh every time I listen to it again :P
As for faverite bands? I'm not so sure. I've been recently getting into 10 Years, so I've been hearing quite a few songs from them (I'm listening to Novacaine as we speak).
If you want to know the rest of my roster. Hmmm.... I was obsessed with Thousand Foot Krutch a while back, along with some Skillet, Red, Pillar, Evanescence, Manafest, and Family Force 5. I have songs from Decyfer Down, Nine Lashes, Flyleaf, Chase Holfelder, and a few songs from Egypt Central. Others include a few songs from Sixx:A.M., Seether, Starset, Shinedown, and Breaking Benjamin.

5: every single song ever in a HTTYD movie XD

Ahh Skillet, that band is a throwback to when I was 12/13. I was obsessed with them. Sleeping, at last, is also a good band.
