Valka's Sanctuary
Hi there! Dropping in with something (hopefully) helpful I noticed: the sanctuary isn't really an island addition, it's a stable. I'm going to be sure to hold onto at least 600 gems for when they make it available to purchase

Ah, that explains a lot! Kinda disappointed it's a glorified dragon stable but hey, it looks great!
I wish that, at some point, we will be able to release our unwanted dragons to the Sanctuary and be able to see them flying and running around. Maybe we could get them back to our stables (if we want to) using a small amount of gems.
The idea of having it as a stable is really cool too! Who knows, if that happens, we might get more stables with Alpha dragons, and, maybe, each one of them could boost our chances of success in a stable quest slot (like Bewilderbeast boosts slot 1, Green Death slot 2,...)

Dropping in to ask anyone who has completed the event... are you able to move your dragons in and use the Sanctuary as a stable?
Because I can't. Is mine glitched or has everyone experienced the same thing?
Not sure how I feel about that. Part of me thinks if we unlocked it, we should get it to use as a stable.
As you said, it's very obviously set up that way and it even has the blue mist "door" to get into the rest of the stables - although that doesn't lead anywhere at all at the moment. If they were gonna make a Sanctuary-based stable, they could have adjusted a few minor things about the island to make it look like... well... an island, and not made the recycling THAT obvious.
I guess if they want to use it as an area for future quests, having it turn into a stable might make things a bit difficult. (Digression: you know what could be fun though? If the island randomly generated adult dragons to sit in those "stable" slots, like how the Hatchery generates random babies flying around.)
Eeeeeh, we'll see. I shall be mildly annoyed if we end up having to buy one after grinding our way through the expansion. But it would be so FREAKING COOL to have my dragons stabled in the Sanctuary. I will probably sulk for a while, and end up buying one anyway.
How many slots come with Valka's sanctuary?
If you mean stable slots, then none. It's not available to buy as a stable. Maybe, and I mean maybe, it might be in the future.

I can't. My guess is we will be able to buy it as a stable at some point... and it is only a guess I don't know for sure, just suspect since it has the four platforms, waiting platform for active dragon and even a potential spot for a gem chest like in the HW stable or mystery one, if they even still do the chests. Hope that helps!
