Tell me about your Viking (and their dragon)
I love to hear about people's characters/OCs, I find it really interesting, especially if they're well thought-out. It's so fun to imagine a world of Vikings and dragons, so tell me about your Viking and their fire-breathing buddy!
Funny enough, I use my first alt account more than my main, because I have so much more stuff on that account. So basically, the account SkrillTrainerOfBerserkers' character is named Arla. She basically flies on Huntershock, her Skrill, and rescues baby dragons and dragon eggs from Hunter boats. Cascade, the Scauldron, is a war dragon (she's level 50 right now because I do battle events all the time. You're likely to see me in the top players once the event is over.) I have way too many dragons to mention here, but I'll talk about my favorites. Huntershock is a male titan Skrill and Arla's main dragon. He loves to zap Hunters, but mostly he's protective of his sister. (I saved up for so long to buy him!) Stormjolt is Huntershock's sister and is albino. She's a lot less powerful, as she hasn't had much experience. (she was rather a lucky find. I had just given Huntershock Titan status, and I got her egg in a battle event shortly after.) Cascade is a battle-hardened Scauldron, the most powerful dragon on Arla's group. (I saved up for Cascade and she is the gift that keeps on giving, winning me tons of battle events and securing me the gold chest pretty much every time.) Midnight Shadow, the Silver Phantom, is a recently-saved dragon. He is the most majestic of Arla's dragons. Multa, the Dramillion, is also recent. She is a little chubby but still one of the most agile dragons on Arla's team. Pierce is the Nadder that Arla started with. She usually can be seen with warpaint. Emerald is a Speed Stinger rescued from Hunters. Arla loves to ride on her. Tuskerclaw the Deathgripper is mischevious, but puppy-like in gentleness and curiosity. She is very protective of the other dragons, however. Macecrusher the Snafflefang is the mos fun-loving of Arla's dragons. Her knack for finding food and getting into it is also the reason why Multa is rather large as well, since Macecrusher led Multa to the food stash once. Ghirmey the Hobblegrunt is a little awkward physically, but very sweet. He rivals Cascade in firepower. Here are the rest of my dragons. Tsunami: male Thunderdrum. Rocky: male Gronckle. Sari and Finni: female Zippleback. Seashard: female Shockjaw. Electro: male Shockjaw. Skara: female Armorwing. Gear: male Armorwing. Hailstorm and Hailstorm: both the same dragon- male Groncicle. One is from an alternate dimension. Crimgold: male Nadder. Frostbite: female Wooly Howl. Albinia: female Monstrous Nightmare. Uriona: female Whispering Death. Ghrackis: male Typhoomerang. Norbrin: male Quaken. Fun fact- I'm at the first platinum star on this account, and I haven't paid a single cent throuout this account's lifespan lol. You CAN play this game completely free; it just takes a lot of time... And a Scauldron lol.
I was actually going to write a fanfic around my character and her dragon so I'd love to share some facts about them!
My character's name is (obviously) Carolinalina "Car." She was the daughter of a Berserker and was found near a shipreck just outside of Outpost Island. No one knows what happened to her parents, and she was only a toddler at the time. She had an unwashable paint mark on her face, and Hiccup believed it may be from lying with her cheek pressed against a symbol found painted on a piece of driftwood from the ship (a family crest, perhaps?). She was first found by Astrid -who was exploring with Hiccup when she noticed platinum blond hair in the dark driftwood. Car appeared to have been washed ashore, yet she seemed to be curled up safely away from the shore and just far enough away for the tide to come short of her. Later on, Car would realize that it wasn't a coincidence that she had been found like that; rather, a Stormcutter with colors like the sun had seen her floating in the water, and had carried her to safety. When Astrid rescued Car, the Stormcutter had been hiding in the trees farther up the hill with his tail wrapped around a thick branch and his body swinging upside-down as he stared with golden eyes at the little child laying in Astrid's arms.
Car was raised from Astrid herself, and soon became almost a mirror image of her with her proud nature and headstrong attitude. She never thought of Astrid as her mother, though; as far as she was concerned, she didn't need a family. She enjoyed being independent and loathed the idea of relying on anyone- including dragons.
She took up a job as Astrid's confidant, making sure those training in the arena were improving and teaching young children how to fight in melee combat.
One day, as Car was teaching an irritable child how to dodge, Astrid came up to her and told her she wanted Car to fetch a few things around Berk. She wanted some dragon nip..and a sunflower. Car found this peculiar but she agreed to gather those things for Astrid. She grabbed her favorite axe and a small satchel she borrowed from Gobber and set off into the woods.
She found some dragon nip rather quickly seeing as it grew all over Berk. The sunflower was infinitely more time consuming; two hours into walking and she found not a single one. The hairs on her arms were beginning to bristle too because the more she walked, the more quiet the forest seemed. The birds stopped chirping, the mice stopped skittering, the bugs stopped humming. She knew she was most likely imagining it, but now and then she would hear movement behind her. Nevertheless, her grip tightened on her axe as she continued on.
Suddenly she saw something yellow to her left. Finally, a sunflower! Relieved and anxious to get back to the village, she reached out for it. A low growl rumbled just above her head and the yellow thing raised up and curled around a tree branch. Handling her axe, she stepped back with surprised and looked up to meet the stare of a 32 foot male Stormcutter laying elegantly on a thick branch hanging over her head. Oh, how stupid she was! If only she had not been so anxious, she would have noticed that the yellow thing was a tail fin! She started, knowing very well this beast could end her in a minute, and gradually stepped farther away. As she met eyes with the Stormcutter she grew confused; the beast's pupils weren't constricted as if he felt threatened. Rather, his pupils were dilated as if he was familiar with her.
"Why aren't you attacking?" Car dared to say, her voice soft as a whisper. The Stormcutter, his eyes never leaving hers, dangled from the branch and then landed on the ground, his talons digging up the earth as he neared her. Even with the threat of danger, Car couldn't help marvelling at the beauty of this dragon: he really looked like the sun with his golden scales along his body and the insides of his wings, lighter gold scales on his chest and belly, pure white wing tips, dusty brown scales on his feet and the membranes on his wings, and that same dusty brown on his head frills, his nose, and his horns. His piercing golden eyes surveyed her, as if seeing if she was in good condition.
Perhaps he wants to make sure his food isn't contaminated, Car thought. As she thought this he stopped so close to her that she could feel his warm breath fanning her face. He was an incredibly large dragon so she had to tilt her head back to keep his gaze. Then the Stormcutter purred at her and promptly leapt off of the ground, his four wings fanning out to lift himself in the air. The force of his wings knocked Car to the ground and she raised her arm to protect her face. As she did this, the Stormcutter wrapped a talon around her arm and beat his wings, raising them up into the sky.
Naturally, Car screamed in surprise, dropping her axe that was in her other hand. As they flew away and Berk grew smaller and smaller, she thought, Is this really the end?
Her arm began to ache terribly after a few minutes and she was about to shout a complaint when the Stormcutter descended, his grip around her arm loosening. She screamed when he opened his talon, dropping her into the ocean.
She gasped, kicking and flailing to stay afloat. She saw a piece of driftwood and reached out for it, clinging to it for dear life. She looked around to find the shore but found that even if she tried she wouldn't be able to reach the shore without drowning. Then two talons found her shoulders and raised her back into the air, her arms still clinging to the piece of driftwood. Just as soon as she was lifted into the air she was dropped again, but much gentler and with precision this time. She was carefully set onto the soft sand, standing as she shook like a leaf in the wind. The Stormcutter gracefully landed a few feet from her, and she braced herself from the sand that flew in her face.
The Stormcutter then stalked closer to her and pushed one of the talons on his wings gently but forcefully on her chest, making her wobble and fall on the sand. When she tried to get back up he grumbled in annoyance and pushed her back down again. She stayed there, feeling too winded to get up. The Stormcutter pushed her legs with his nose so that her knees were against her chest and she was laying in a fetal position. Suddenly, a memory of Astrid's voice telling her how she was found rang in her head like an alarm. As the realization struck her, she reached for the piece of driftwood with disbelief and realized her suspicions were correct: there painted faintly into the wood was the same symbol on her face.
"It was you?" She gasped, standing straight up and forgetting her exhaustion in a minute. The Stormcutter purred at her and tilted his head, regarding her with amused eyes. Forgetting all about the danger she was in, she walked forward until she was just beneath his chin, staring up at him.
"Thank you. Thank you for saving me," She murmured, and she swore that the Stormcutter smiled. His tail swung back and forth like a dog wagging his tail, and his tongue lolled off the corned of his mouth. Overwhelmed with gratitude and affection, Car closed her eyes just like Astrid taught her and reached her hand out. A few seconds went by and she opened one eye, thinking he got scared and flew away. She started with surprise when she saw a golden chest inches from her nose, and felt two wings wrap around her as if in an embrace.
She heard him purr again when she wrapped her own arms around him (even though he was so massive that her arms only stretched so far) and thought his purrs sounded as if he was sounded out syllables: Hurrr-eeee-aaaaan.
When it begun to get dark and she knew Astrid would look for her, she looked around and wondered how she would get back. The Stormcutter grumbled and unfurled his left wings and laid them down like a ramp; he was inviting her on his back.
Once she had climbed up and gotten herself comfortable, she felt the beast's muscles shift as he prepared to leap into the air. Then, in a whirl of wings, they were in the air. A huge burst of air threatened to knock her off but she managed to hold on for dear life as the dragon leveled himself in the air and caught an updraft. Within minutes they were flying over Berk, the smell of dragon droppings and livestock hitting her at once.
Just before they reached the village, without warning the dragon dove, folding his wings against his body. Car screamed, leaning slightly forward so she wasn't thrown off his back. At the last second the dragon fanned his wings out, fluttering them as he landed on the ground.
"What-" Car gasped, "was that?!" The Stormcutter answered with a "Hurrr-eeee-aaaan," and dipped his head to grab something. She dropped from his back to investigate and saw, in his jaws, a beautiful yellow sunflower.
Later, when they finally reached the village, a whole search party was gathering outside Hiccup's house. Astrid heard the powerful wingbeats of the Stormcutter first, turning around with her jaw dropped. The other vikings had a similar reaction, all of them wondering what she was doing on the back of the very thing she refused to associate herself with.
Hiccup encouraged her to tell everyone what happened, and after she had done so (the Stormcutter had decided to settle himself on a viking's house, laying down with his wings drooped over the sides and his tail swinging back and forth. His eyes never left Car, however) there was a long silence. Then, one of the village children said, "Can we paint him?"
Car smiled and said, "I think he'd like that. He's a big showoff."
All of the children around squealed excitedly, rushing off to get some paint. Car watched them pick out a beautiful orange paint as they talked about the pattern they would give him.
She felt a hand on her shoulder and she jumped before realizing it was Astrid. She said to Car, "We found your axe in the woods by the way. Did you get the things I asked for?" Car nodded, giving Gobber's satchel to her. Astrid thanked her and said, "You should give him a name."
As if hearing this, the Stormcutter leapt off of the house towards Car, tilting his head and sitting back on his hind legs. He purred, "Hurrr-eeee-aaaan."
She walked closer to him, reaching her hand out. He leaned down and touched his nose to her hand, purring again.
"Cassian. His name is Cassian."
That's some good writing! Also, funny enough, my character is also a Berserker lol. My stormcutter Shredderfang is really cool, I can tell why you like them so much
Thank you!! Berserkers are the coolest ngl ;)
Honestly I don't know what started my obsession with Stormcutters but I literally can't get enough of them. They're just so PRETTY! What does Shredderfang look like?
Thank you so much!! Their story is pretty close to my heart because as a child it was what I imagined myself and my make-believe dragon to be like. The way they meet has been changed again and again as I've matured for 5 years and I've finally settled with this one so it means a lot to hear that people enjoy it! ^-^ I'm currently revising the rest of the story but I'll definitely either post it here, in a new thread, or leave a link to it depending on how long it is.
My main character is appropriately named Pygmygirl, (although I am thinking about changing it to ZephyrAmanzi as that is the name I would prefer in the Viking world). Pygmygirl is fiesty and is not afraid to face hunters in combat. She comes from the great Water Tribe of the West but dragons hunters destroyed her home when she was quite young, so she has devoted her life to rescuing and protecting dragons, which is how she met Hiccup and moved to Berk. She is also well-respected amoung the Berserker tribe and can be very friendly around those she knows she can trust. Pygmy's main dragon is a silver and gold titan razorwhip called Vortex (who was found with Pygmy in the ruins of her island) and she is now level 50. Vortex is protective and defiant but an incredible companion and a powerful ally in battle. She will take down an entire fleet if it means saving her dragon friends (and human friends). Pygmy's second main dragon is a titan death song called Symphony who prefers to avoid any violence but will defend friends if she has to. Pygmy found Symphony's egg abandoned on a remote island so decided to take it back to Berk. Originally, Pygmy had intended to release the baby back to the wild but it seemed that Symphony would prefer to stay with her adoptive family. I can't name all of Pygmygirl's dragons here as there are around 70 but her third favourite dragon is Veil the pink and white Flightmare. She was the first dragon that Pygmy rescued from the hunters in the game. While Veil may not be so powerful, she is definitely one of Pygmy's most loyal dragon friends and tends to get on very well with Stormfly.
My viking is Lady fighter or Lady (its obvious :'D). Lady was found on a raft by Hiccup and Toothless, she was 11 years old (the age I was when I started playing back in 2016). Lady had lost all her memories and couldn't remember where she came from (it was an unknown land far away from the vikings- it wasn't on their maps) or her name- So she called herself Lady fighter. A while later she met Midnight, her Night Fury, and they had an unbreakable bond. Midnight had been shot down by a dragon hunter attack on Berk, Lady found him and they were inseperable ever since. 3 Years later she met and bonded with Moondust, her Light Fury, they had a similar bond but Midnight's bond was stronger. Midnight fell for Moondust and was trying to get her to bond with Lady it took a bit of time and trust. Moondust had first appeared after the defeat of Grimmel and Midnight had spotted her first. Midnight couldn't flirt or get her attention the right way so he relied on Lady for support and tips. Moondust had brought Midnight into the Hidden World after their "date". a week later they mated and Moondust wanted to make Midnight happy so she attempted to bond with Lady fighter and it worked! They both were the Alpha's of Lady's dragons. 1 year later Midnight and Moondust became parents to Nyx and Hypnos the Night Lights. Nyx wanted to explore the world above her- She had a few escape attempts making only halfway to the surface seeing the skybut she got caught by her parents. One day she actually made it to the Training Grounds without Moondust or Midnight noticing. She caught sight of Lady fighter and grew curious about the girl. They both bonded in secret so they wouldn't get in trouble as her parents looked everywhere and were relieved to see their daughter. A month later Hypnos noticed Nyx bringing Lady to their home he grew curious and wanted to see for himself. He got out of the Hidden World and noticed Lady sitting at the school. He went over and brought her to his birthplace. He and Nyx take turns with Lady as both are inseperable with Lady (Pretty much it for now wanted to add my 4 favorite dragons in my vikings story x3).
My OC story.
My OC is Younglightfuryloverthethird and she has two sisters one who still remains with her and one that doesn't, there names are Robin and Bonnie . Bonnie is the older sister but that role went down to Robin seens , Bonnie had left the game :( . Young is a Berkian who is smart kind caring helpful protective and does puns using her name , she loves dragons and especially furies . Young's main dragons are her beloved girls who are Sandy ( Sandy is my first dragon . She is a Sandwraith.) and Luna ( Luna is my lightfury) she's loves taking both of them out on to the tracks of TRR and racing against fellow players. Sadly Young had failed to succeed to get the nightlights and wants another chance but that's not likely. Anyway back to the story, a month ago Young friend has left the game and in honour of there friendship Young decided to work as hard as she can to win those Thawfest medals ( in the tv shows Thawfest prizes are medals .) . Young and her dragons can't wait till there next adventure. Ps She likes to be called Young , lightfury or third but mostly Young.
Prepare for an essay, my friend… XD
My viking is named dragontheawesomeFlameborn but she prefers to be called flame. she was shipwreaked when she was 9( the age i was when i started playing) when she was out fishing with her aunt and sister. she was the only one who survived. before she got shipwreaked, she lived on Icestorm island with her aunt and sister. they were there because they were hiding out from hunters. anyways, she got shipwreaked on Melody island. She soon discovered that a Deathsong lived there and hid out in some caves on the far side of the island. when she was hiding in there, she met a Rumblehorn. she had never been afraid of dragons before, so she got on the Rumblehorn and flew to Berk. she has more dragons too. they are; Zipy, who she got from Valka as a gift, Armor, an Armorwing that she rescued from dragon hunters, Fishmeat, a gronkle that she found in the wilderness, and Whisper, a Wispering death that she found in the Whispering death tunnels under berk.
Your writing is so good!! I’d totally read a fanfic of yours if/when you do one, I really want more of this story haha ♥
