Yep. :P

Yep. I went with my family to see it, and wasn't a big fan of it. Megan Fox's acting was pretty lackluster, and the majority of the dialogue was lifeless, hackneyed, or flat-out cheesy. It had the potential to be a good story, and the CG was good. But, unfortuanately following the trend of most Michael Bay movies, it was far too heavy on the action and too thin on the plot and character development. Personally, if I were a Rotten Tomatoes critic, I'd give this thing a pretty solid 'splat'.

The link to my fanfic, 'Tale of Mahelsonei: How to Betray a Madman' is here.

The link to the Harvest Haunt special, 'Tale of Mahelsonei: How to Scare a Dragon' is here.

Lots of lovely artwork on my DeviantART here, including rough drawings that I didn't post on my companion art page and various odds, ends, and dumb doodles. :D

And if you have nothing else to do, here is the link to my Dragon Cave.

Thank you.

How to Train Your Dragon: Ireth and Vespera Fable by Yamilink

Excellent, Wonderful story! Beautifully drawn comic book featuring an apothecary/alchemist trying to fit in with other Vikings on Berk as she overcomes her fear of dragons and befriends a particularly special dragon. Set 10 years after the Battle of the Red Death. Highly recommend the read!

No Longer Alone by peterparkersgirlfriend
The entire first movie from Toothless' point of view. Beautifully written, I personally think it captures Toothless' personality and heart like a photograph made out of words. Excellent read!

The Helmet by peterparkersgirlfriend
All of Gift of the Night Fury from Toothless' point of view. Held to much the same standard as its predecessor, this story is full of plot twists, danger, and exactly what was going through Toothless' head. Includes how Toothless found Hiccup's helmet!

A Father's Love

A bunch of one-shots about Hiccup, Astrid, and their new daughter. Embodies the very struggles that made the movies great. But instead of Stoick being the worried father, Hiccup takes the reins as he and Astrid try to raise their children to be not just warm, honest, and good people but good dragon riders as well!

* * * * stars

Nightfall

Basically, Hiccup is a viking Tarzan, raised by dragons. After a dragon raid, a peculiar machine shoots down a strange and dangerous dragon. And an even more strange and dangerous boy. Nothing short of spectacular, this book tugs at your heart strings and will pull you in like none other. Fabulous! It made me laugh, cry, and worry myself sick.

I hate Michael Bay, what he does to the shows of my childhood, and what he did to TMNT. I liked the 2003 animated series, up until season 6. But even season six has good episodes, like "The Freaks Come Out at Night", and "DNA is Thicker Than Water". It's more serious than the 80s cartoon, and very well done, with good quality animation, and distinctly different and well-fitting voices for the characters (especially the turtles). What Michael Bay does to childhood should be illegal, and I will never see his TMNT horror show. The trailers alone absolutely terrified my.

Agreed.

Completely siding with you on that one. The 2003 version was the one I fell in love with, but the new 2012 reboot isn't too bad either.

Hey, random side topic; Who's your favorite turtle, people? Mine's Donnatello! :D

Ooh... tough call, but my favorite ties between Raph and Leo. Leo, and his devotion to honor and way of bushido is relatable (at least to me), and I love Raph's reckless hotheadedness. Donatello and Mikey come close, but don't quite synch the win. It's a hard choice though. During the Michael Bay trailer, I was half expecting Shredder to transform into a motocycle with pointy bits. << I dislike the 2012 reboot. But perhaps that's mostly because it lost the serious tone and mature themes of the 2003 reboot. Although I hate the designs of the turtles, April, and Kasey, as well as the voices they used in the 2012 one too. Turtles Forever was a good movie, though.

I know, right?? Honestly, this Shredder looked like he wandered into the wrong studio. Sorry, Shredhead. The Age of Extinction set is a block over.

Really

I heard that the movie was not that good. My friend told me it was the bad voices though. I haven't seen it yet and now I probably won't. I love the turtles though and my favorite is between Raph and Mikey.

No, admittedly because the turtles have LIPS and that creeps me out. They look too much like people.

I grew up watching TMNT (Along with Sonic X, Dinosaur King and things of that nature,) and they never looked so creepy, ever. Plus, Megan Fox is in every single Michael Bay movie including 500,000 explosions which are both extremely repetitive.

And that's coming from someone who is in their targeted age group.

Also Shredder kind of looks like a Transformer, he must have LOVED making those movies.

At least they changed it back to mutants instead of aliens like Michael Bay had originally planned.

I loved Sonic X. It was funny and serious when it needed to be. Disney's Gargoyles was by and by far, one of the best shows ever on Disney. But recently, I've found myself loving shows that I didn't even watch as a kid, like Extreme Dinosaurs, Street Sharks, ect. Stegs and Bullzeye are my favorite dinos. :P

Viking: Lunar Vixen

Clan: None

Main Dragon: Echo (Stormcutter/Male)

Secondary Dragon: Toxic (Deadly Nadder/Female)

Alt. main: Eclipse (Nightstinger/Male)

My Website: https://beacons.page/lunarvixen

do not steal anything from this signature!!!

MyDragons:

1. Echo = A large stormcutter, slightly bigger then Cloudjumper.  He is very strong and fast for his species. He is very loyal to his rider. He has a bit of an attitude, and doesnt show much emotion. He is a big sweetheart but finds showing it off to be embarassing. He is only goofy acting and silly when alone with his rider or Toxic.

2. Toxic = my oldest and longest owning dragon.  She is more playful than even stormfly...and thats saying a lot.  She is just about as competitive and trains hard.  She is quite smart and very quick on her feet.  She is a great tracker and loves to take long, nighttime flights.

3. Blackout = a rather bad boy character... well he tries to be. He is really quite lovable, but tries to be tough and brutal. He is very standoffish and doesn’t trust people easily. He mostly runs from them and will attack if they follow. He is wild at heart, but sometimes let’s his rider take him for a spin... but be careful of being zapped.

4. Eclipse = (a nightfury/speed stinger mix). despite being a fearsome dragon species, he is extremely playful and loves to be petted. His personality has two sides to it, the playful friendly side for his friends and children, then the deadly protective side when anyone is in danger. He has a slight fear of thunderstorms and prefers to be inside during them. He loves the rain, but not during thunder. He has all of the abilities of a nightfury and a speed stinger.

6. Nightwhisper = a female nightlight whom performs medical opperations in battle. She saves injured animals and gets them to safety.  She is very intellegent, wild, and creative.  She loves to draw on the ground and will get mad at you if you step on them.  If you try to get on her back she will buck you off, she hates being ridden by most people.  She loves to fly alone and do tricks in the sky. Whisper is mostly nocturnal, but will go out at daytime. She is the second generation daughter of Toothless and the Lightfury.  She is very rebellious, but loves her family dearly. She is very cat like but is as loyal as a dog.

7. Lucian = he is a lightfury/sandwraith/changewing hybrid.  His main firepower is a strong acid that can even go through metal.  He also has very weak plasma blasts.  He can turn invisible, swim well, and buries under the sand. He is overall very lazy and loves to just lay around and soak up the sun.  He will only attack if provoked.  He is overall quite friendly with humans, but can be a bit territorial.  He does often shed his skin to keep himself fresh and new.  He is a bit of a prankster when he wants to be.  He loves to also float in the water. If you wish to find him, walk along a beach during the day and you will prob find him there!

8. Caspian = night whisper's mate. He is an aquatic lightfury whom prefers swimming over flying. He is large for his breed and brave. He is also a bit wreckless and silly.

9. Whirlpool = a scauldron whom loves to swim and help fisherman catch fish. He is very friendly and outgoing for his species.

10. Frostflight = a very lonely lightfury. she lives a life of solitude and is too skeptical to let anyone into her life. Everyone she loved either died or abandoned her. She gets lonely often and spends her time drawing in the dirty, hanging out with animals, or climbing.

11. Scorpio = a stubborn hard headed dragon made after the Scorpio astrology sign. He is everything that they are.

12. Ghost = the son of Caspian and Nightwhisper. He is moreso a lightfury then a nightfury.  He has all of the abilities of a lightfury and can swim well like his father.

13. Adler = Toxic's mate. He is very hot headed, but kind and tempered around Toxic. He likes to always be in charge, and gets grumpy if he isnt. However, he makes a great leader when in charge.

Yeeaaahh.... no. Sorry.

I agree with Miss Radioactive Shark, here. If you want to see lots of explosions and not much story, Michael Bay is a great director/producer. If you want something that is well-written, thought-provoking, and witty, stick with something like 'A Monster in Paris' or 'We Bought a Zoo'. Or 'Dragonheart'! That was a good one.

There are plenty of good films out there. This is not one of them.

My Dad and his friend went to see it after my dad told my mom and I heard it. They got the whole story wrong! April didn't release the turtles! And Splinter named them after the renaissance artists! Sheesh it sounded terrible! BTW my favorite is and always has been Mikey :)

Michael Bay is good.... if you don't have an 80s or 90s childhood for him to ruin. If you weren't born in the 80s or 90s and didn't grow up with good TV, he's great. If you did, he's slowly assassinating that childhood.
