So beyond furious right now
So. All my dragons were moved out of their stables. Just spent well over an hour rearranging them in their stables, and am scared to check my other Vikings. Then I went to collect my cookies and gems from the stable quests, and all the progress is gone! Just new quests. I logged in for the fifth day in a row and got a first day bonus which I am not happy with. Tons of crashing earlier today, had to give up for hours. Tried to do Dragon Tactics, could not get in because the dragons were out of stables. I feel like this competition is rigged to force us to pay real money to get the Night Lights, since these crashes and lost gems and glitched farm animals and every other thing that happens is causing people to not be able to succeed in this competition. Exact same thing that happened with the Dreadfall event. I am just so sick of these issues. I love Dragons but am despairing if it is worth playing anymore.
I've noticed that this glitch is going around to almost everybody. Yes, it is infuriating considering I have a hoard of dragons to manually place back in my stables. However, I am wholly certain that all these bugs, glitches, and server issues are completely unintentional, and that the developers are trying the best they can to get to the bottom of it. This IS the first Holiday Event they've ever done (apart from last October), and they lack playtesters. There are going to be some problems along the way regarding beta testing with a small team of people keeping a game running.
In other words, this event is not rigged. They gave us (all Vikings) a chance to purchase Dart in-store if you want a hybrid fury (my name for Night light): an offer that pretty much did not exist in the Dreadfall Event. They extended the dates because of the server issues people were receiving to try to make up for it. They even gave Vikings free candy when the Dreadfall event was nearing it's conclusion to help get the final prize for hard-workers.
You don't even have to get the final prize as they might let us keep the number of candy/cookies for next year's event to get the prizes. I know you're angry, but I encouage you to take a moment to calm down so that you can think rationally about these things.
I'm having the same exact issue. I came back to this game after a few years of not playing and loved it all over again. Then I started having issues with the game, which was the reason I stoped playing it in the first place. At first, I was fine with the minor issues (only getting the first day rewards, quest days resetting, not receiving cookie jars, etc. ) but now I can't even play the game and I'm scared to login in case it gets worse. I really hope this gets fixed.
I haven't had any problems today except not getting the 5th day cookie jar for completing two daily quests. Haven't had server timeouts since the first couple days.

Before manually moving the dragons back, try clearing your local cache and restart the game. This bug has been occurring pretty often lately, and relogging once or twice seems to work for me personally. Sure beats moving them all back into their stables by hand.
How often did you restart? It may take a couple times-- if it still doesn't work, that sucks! And I hope it gets fixed soon.
