Welcome to the info thread for the School of Dragons Discord!

Currently sporting over 500 members and a dedicated admin & mod team.

Come chat with us about SoD, videogames, TV, anime, dank memes, music and much more in over 10 text- and 3 voice channels. Play with your favourite bots in the Bot channel, air your grievances in the Salt Mines and share your artwork for critique and arrange art trades in the Cavern of Art!

Our community is small, friendly, helpful and generally fun to chat with. If you're looking for some friendly people to chill with every day, or just once in a while? Look no further!

This server is not hyper-populated like most game-based servers are due to the smaller playerbase, so if busy servers are not your thing, check us out!

Why?

In Discord, it is possible to have real-time chats with SoD-players and forum members. Our SoD channel can be used as a means to avoid the very strict and ofen nonsensical in-game chat while also offering a bunch of interesting off-topic subjects to talk about. For the rest, our admins and mods are quick to step in and deal with potential issues when they arise.

Are there any rules?

Yes! We have a nice set of rules in order to make sure that the server is appropriate for people of any age. Check out our rules document here if you're interested in joining us. This document also contains a list of channels and additional info.

What is Discord?

Discord is an all-in-one voice and text chat for gamers that has replaced old, deprecated apps like Skype and Ventrilo. It is free and accessible through your browser, a desktop-, and a mobile app. You do not need a microphone and you are under no obligation to voice chat. Check out and download Discord here.

Read the rules in order to chat!

Check out our rules document! You will not have access to rest of the server's channels if you don't do the thing the rules mention you should do. This is a manual proces in order to combat spammers, bots and to keep the server kid-friendly.

No, the server is not broken because you can't talk yet. Just read the rules :)

Bans can be reversed, but we do not automatically lift bans after time has passed. PM one of the server admins through the forums (be sure to include your discord name and #) and we'll see what we can do for you.

Regarding Invite links:

A thank you to the people who have been sharing the joy by putting the banner with the invite link in their signatures! However, I must ask you to remove the direct invite link and have your banner refer to this thread instead. Too many people join without reading this thread first, and it results in people joining the server with the wrong expectations. The same goes for sharing invite links over Discord; please refer people to this thread instead.

I have been playing since winter of 2013, almost the time the game came out, I was a little kid then, and still love the game from long-ago memories. I made my main account under the name "StormySavage" in May of 2018. I am called "Stormy", or Marshmallow (Marshy for short) by my friends because we all have food nicknames XD. Sooo, I decided to join the SoD discord (about time, right?). I waited for the 10 minute timer to end, and when it did, I reacted to the message and rules link like I was supposed to. The one thing that confuses me is that even though I reacted to that message (the one that says access to the Great Hall will be granted if I react), I can't find the Great Hall anywhere on the Discord. Does that mean it won't show up until a certain amount of time after I react, or...? Sorry if this wasn't the most eloquent comment, I have no idea how to word things sometimes, lol.

EDIT: never mind what I just said, it works now!
