Lathri \Skywing Elf/

((I’m going camping for about ten days, so I’ll try to keep track of the RP but I might not be able to post (as much). Depends on the internet connection.))

Gale stayed with her and Lujanne, looking at the others as they departed with something negative in her eyes. Thinking back, Lathri realized she was the only one who hadn’t been interested in the Moon Phoenixes. She wondered if Gale was just not an animal lover, or if something more was going on.

Lujanne didn’t seem to mind her staying, turning around and leading them away. Lathri could feel the energy this place was drenched in getting stronger every step, and guessed she was taking them to the Moon Nexus.

She glanced at Gale, nodding her head at Lujanne, silently encouraging Gale to ask whatever question had brought her here. Whatever it was, it seemed more urgent than Lathri learning Moon magic, which would probably end up being a lengthy affair anyway, so she had no problems with Gale skipping the queue.

Neither elf seemed to hold any qualms with Gale staying behind. Instead, both Lathri and the moon guardian began a trek towards what Gale assumed was the noticed the moon Nexus. Gale followed in stead, her cool eyes betraying none of the calculating thoughts that swirled around in her brain. She was usually quite talkative and under any normal circumstances would be prattling on about this or that. But the serene atmosphere clamped her shut. That was, until Gale noticed the nod, making it permissible for her to speak.

"Oh! Uh. Well, first of all I appreciate your hospitality." Gale began rather diplomatically casually exluding mention Of the less-than hospital illusions and storm that had been sent to discourage her from arriving. "I was hoping I could request a spell. An illusion that could make the wearer change their appearance at will." She retrieved the choker from around her neck, holding it up.

She had heard that a powerful illusionist could enchant a piece of clothing or object to cast a permanent, tangible illusion over whoever possessed the object, as long as they were wearing it. Of course, she doubted that the magic would be strong enough to make her appear as though she were an entirely animal, she would likely be restricted to humanoid creatures

Her nod startled Gale into speaking. “Oh! Uh. Well, first of all I appreciate your hospitality.” Well, excluding the storm and the monsters and everything, why not? “I was hoping I could request a spell. An illusion that could make the wearer change their appearance at will.”

Gale removed an ornate choker from her neck, holding it up hopefully.

Lathri frowned at her. She couldn’t for the life of her understand why Gale would want something like that. That sounded...shady. But before she could say anything, Lujanne spoke up with a frown of her own.

“I see. Might I know what you intend to do with this...spell?”

Lujanne appeared mildly concerned by Gale's request. "I see. Might I know what you intend to do with this...spell?”

"Uh, well. See, that's a long and very boring story." Gale replied with a shaken smile. It was strained. Obvious that she was outwardly attempting to maintain a positive facade- and not doing a very good job at it. "It's honestly quite the sob story, and one I am not particularly fond of recounting. I will spare you the melodrama and theatrics and say this. Something precious was taken from me when I was very young. Something that upturned my entire life and tore apart my family. And now that I am older and have agency of my own- I want it back."

Lujanne’s features softened upon hearing the story, or rather, the extremely summarized version of it Gale seemed willing to share. “I sympathize with your plight. But you must understand I cannot simply hand out spells. I am the Guardian of the Moon Nexus. Protecting it is my sole purpose, and using my magic without knowing what its effects will be or what it would lead to would be...irresponsible.”

Lujanne seemed to think for a moment, then her eyes brightened. “But I think I have a possible solution. Lathri is here to learn the Moon Arcanum. If she does, she will be able to cast the spell you want. I suggest you ask her for her aid in your...quest. Meanwhile, I of course offer you the hospitality of the Nexus, and my apologies that I cannot be of more help to you.”

Loteva grinned at Zerina's proposal, and joined the group to the stables. But something prickly rose in the back of her neck. She turned around, seeing that Lathri and Lujanne weren't accompanying them. And they both seemed to be wary of something. She shrugged, turning away. It wasn't her business.

The top of the mountain was very cold, and it also made Aspen light headed, not to the brink of unconsciousness but it still made everything feel weird.
"Look Amos! Buildings!" She pointed out and ran up the last mile.

After Aspen made it all the way up, she could see that she wasn't alone... Did they have missions too? What was even her mission anyways? She shrugged and carefully made her way to look around, not really wanting to interact with anyone yetz

((I can definitely try but I don't know Lujanne's personality well... at all. I watched Dragon Prince a long time ago and haven't really revisited))

The expression on the moon guardian's face softened briefly. “I sympathize with your plight. But you must understand I cannot simply hand out spells."

Gale inwardly scoffed at the statement, although the expression on her face gave nothing more than a look of devastation. She had encountered a little girl and a wolf on the trek up towards the cave she had sought shelter in. A wolf who was given a whole other leg by Lujanne's illusions. How was that not a hand out?

"I am the Guardian of the Moon Nexus. Protecting it is my sole purpose, and using my magic without knowing what its effects will be or what it would lead to would be...irresponsible.” Lujanne seemed to notice Gale's expression and proposed an idea. "But I think I have a possible solution. Lathri is here to learn the Moon Arcanum. If she does, she will be able to cast the spell you want. I suggest you ask her for her aid in your...quest. Meanwhile, I of course offer you the hospitality of the Nexus, and my apologies that I cannot be of more help to you.”

"You've got to be joking." Gale sighed, furrowing her brow. "It can take years to learn an arcanum! I can't afford to wait that long. And.... I thought that only StarTouch elves could master every Arcanum? Without the use of something like a primal stone I don't see...." she trailed off and looked down, shoulders slouched in defeat.

Zerina - Moon elf

Zerina led her group into the stables, the well trained birds going straight to their own stalls. Inside, there was a system of tubes and food bowls connected to what looked like a hydraulic pump that was powered by magic rather than air made entirely from lunar steel, currently glowing in the gold of summer. She pointed it out to the visiting elves.

"I made that myself. It's a hydraulic system that uses the magic of the moon nexus to power it. All I have to do is put the food in and program the amount for each bird at their own station. That way, if say one of them needs to be on a diet, I can control how much food they get." Zerina explained, showing them the different dials and switches she used to control how much food each bird got. She had to make an adjustment to the food station for one of the hatchlings though, he was getting a little chubby.

Moremi was impressed by what seemed to her a complex series of metal tubes. She'd never been one to have much of an interest in machinery, despite her heritage, but this magic powered device seemed different. Holding herself back from reaching out to touch it, not wanting to appear childlike, she instead turned to Zerina.
"Do you want any help getting them into their stables?" She knew that the other elf was more than capable of doing it herself, but she wanted to be useful after these strangers had helped he rout so much.

"That would be very much appreciated. But watch out for Xerxes. You so much as look at him the wrong way, he'll bite. The youngsters are a bit more eager to please than the adults." Zerina replied, glad that she had the help for once. Normally, she had to use the bell to get everyone in their stalls.

Noting that, Moremi began to walk towards Orion's pen, marked with a small nameplate written in a silver, looping scroll. The moon pheonix followed her without hesitation, squawking slightly. She closed the door, but remained inside, stroking him above the beak. Moremi felt a sudden lurch of attachment towards the creature, as she'd never owned a pet herself. Placing her forehead in line with Orion's, she sighed deeply, momentarily forgetting the reason why she had come here entirely.

Saying Gale was not pleased by this proposal would be an understatement. “You’ve got to be joking! It can take years to master an Arcanum! I can’t afford to wait that long! And I thought only Startouch elves could master every Arcanum? Without the use of a Primal Stone I don’t see...” She looked utterly devastated. Part of Lathri felt really sorry for her, but another part couldn’t really blame Lujanne for refusing to help. Painful though the memory seemed to be for Gale, she was so sparse with details that Lathri herself wouldn’t give her the spell even if she had been capable. She could see too easily how shapeshifting at will could be used for all kinds of nefarious plans. And it seemed like an odd choice of ability if all one wanted was to retrieve a stolen item.

But now that the tirade was over, Lathri jumped into the impasse. “First of all, no, all Elves can become Archmages, that is, learn all the Arcana. Startouch elves just have more time, given their long lifespans. Second of all, how about a compromise? Instead of any possible shape, how about an enchantment that creates just one other form? A single extra identity, so to speak?”

She looked from Lujanne to Gale, wondering what they thought. Lujanne didn’t seem wholly opposed to the idea, but she wasn’t sure about Gale.

Gale sighed, her shoulder slouching slightly. It wasn't as good as she wanted, but it was still better than nothing. She glanced up at Lujanne who appeared to be nodding in agreement.

Gale poutily blew a strand of hair out of her face then sighed and nodded. "Fair enough. I chose human. But I would like to be able to alter my apperance as a human. It is a necessity... d-do you have somewhere we can sit down? Maybe over tea? It is a long story."

Lujanne appeared slightly befuddled by the request. She shrugged. "Of course." Beckoning with her hand, she began to lead the girls towards her home.

Gale glanced at Lathri before slowly following after the moon mage.

Gale seemed to find the compromise acceptable, if not ideal. “Fair enough. I choose human. But I would like to be able to alter my apperance as a human. It is a necessity... d-do you have somewhere we can sit down? Maybe over tea? It is a long story.”

Lujanne seemed relieved, if slightly befuddled. “Of course,” she said, giving Gale a kindly smile and beckoning both girls along.

Lathri caught Gale’s glance and tried to smile encouragingly. She wasn’t sure how successful she was.

Lujanne brought them to her home, a surprisingly cozy space, and showed them to a table with some chairs while busying herself in the kitchen area. A few minutes later, she joined them, holding three steaming cups of tea and a plate of delicious-smelling cookies.

That was...fast? And very...culinary? For a mage living on top of a barren mountain... Lathri glanced curiously at Lujanne, nipping from her tea but not touching the cookies. The mage smiled mysteriously back at her.

Bixby got up after he nap, and looked around. It seemed in her sleep she rolled to apart of the mountain. And I'm the distance she felt she saw an earthblood elf, what was an earthblood elf doing her? She should go ask her? Bixby stood there trying to figure out what to do.

Aspen hadn't noticed the moon shadow elf as she passed, her only concern was looking for.. the moon mage was it? She didn't get much news about the other elf civilizations since nobody bothered to tell her, it was a miriacle at all that she learned about the SunFire elves's leader's passing. Amos fell asleep in her antlers leaving her to her own opinions.

Loteva - Moonshadow elf

Loteva took in all the mystical wonder of the stables like a sponge, making sure every detail was noticed. It really was amazing, how Zerina had made that entire hydraulics system. She led Diana to her pen, giving her one last pat. "Hey, Z," She said, not sure if Zerina would like the nickname or not. "I gotta ask, are there any moon dorms here? After a climb up the caldera I'll admit, I'm exhausted."

(Moon dorms are the places visitors to the Moon Nexus stay, according to The Art of The Dragon Prince, also sorry I haven't posted anything in a long time ;-( I'm preparing for college so it's a bit messy right now)

Zerina finished getting the little phoenixes fed, looking up at Loteva's question, and her new nickname. She didn't mind, after all, that human Claudia had called her Bird Lady.

"Of course! They're not far from the stables. Once we get these guys fed, I can show you where they are. You wanna try your hand at using the feeding mechanism?" Zerina replied, going over to the main device, the feeding station where all the food was pnenumatically sent to the birds in the appropriate serving with the dials labled for each stall.

Moremi gave Orion one final stroke, then left the pen and closed the gate behind her. She moved to stand with the other elves, ready to help out with the feeding process. Lujanne brought them to her home, a surprisingly cozy space, and showed them to a table with some chairs while busying herself in the kitchen area. A few minutes later, she joined them, holding three steaming cups of tea and a plate of delicious-smelling cookies.

Gale eyes them for a moment before politely declining. She wasn't about to trust any of the elves she had just met. And the fact that these cookies appeared seemingly out of no where struck a chord. Seeing as Lathri deemed it safe to drink the tea, Gale did the same.

Noticing that Lujanne had turned her curious eyes onto Gale, the SkyWing elf nearly choked on her tea. She coughed a bit and pressed a closed fist against her mouth.

"Well, uh." She cleared her throat. "I seem to have quite the inquizitive audience." Gale nervously set the teacup down with a clatter that may have been a bit too forceful than nessacary. "It's weird... spilling your entire life story to a group of strangers. I say we go in rounds." Gale said cheerily. "My turn, then Lathri's, then yours. If you are comfortable." She gestured to Lujanne.

Lujanne chuckled, a glint of something mischievous in her eyes. "Sure. Although I can't say my story is particularly of interest."

“I seem to have quite the inquisitive audience,” Gale chortled, having nearly choked on her tea. She set the cup down with an unnecessary amount of force, in Lathri’s opinion. “It’s weird...spilling your entire life story to a group of strangers.” Lathri wondered what she’d expected. That she just showed up at the Nexus and got her spell, no questions asked? “I say we go in rounds. My turn, then Lathri’s, then yours. If you are comfortable.” She gestured at the Moon Guardian, completely ignoring the fact she’d just asked Lathri to bare her life history for two strangers to pick over as well.

“Sure,” Lujanne agreed, smiling mischievously. “Although I can’t say my story is particularly of interest.”

“Sure,” Lathri echoed, slightly irked by the way she was dragged into this. She leaned back in her chair, her hands folded around her teacup, and looked at Gale expectantly.

"Sure," lathri replied as well, seemingly slightly peeved.

"It's only fair." Gale shruggd, taking a prolonged sip of her tea. She drew out the silence as long as she could, ignoring the eyes resting on her. After a few moments, Gale set down the tea up. "Well, uh. As both of you already know, SkyWings are a large nomadic people. We travel in small tribes, wandering where ever the winds may carry us.  So, uh... no one in my tribe really liked me. I wasn't the, uh... best child. I have some seriously sticky fingers. You know how it is." Gale shrugged nonchalantly as she gazed into the darkness of the cave beyond them. "One day, I stole from the wrong fella." She noted the incredulous look plastered across Lujanne's face, coupled with a mirthful twinkle in her eyes.

Gale sputtered slightly. "I-In my defence, the guy was an absolute jerk. He came from one of the "permament" SkyWing residences. Probably the son of some royal whats-it-butt. How was I supposed to know that his daddy was important? All he did was bully us. He had a massive superiority complex.. and he had this major crush on me." She wrinkled her nose. "So uh... one night we were staying in a small EarthBlood elf village, they were kind enough to let us reside here for a night. I witnessed him stealing most of our food rations from the supplies. This wasn't exactly a new thing. Every time Id confront him he'd just blow it off. That dayI just felt... mad. Super mad. I'm not sure why. So I decided that I would finally get him back. I waited until nightfall outside of the home he was staying in waiting for my chance. That's when I heard him taking a bath and stuffing his disgusting mouth with our stolen food. And I, uh... I may have lured him outside onto the balcony under the pretenses of being interested in him... then I may or may not have locked him out there and stole his clothes."

Lujanne laughed at that, it was a good-natured laugh brimming with michief.

"He had a few valuable things that I was able to pawn off." Gale shrugged. "And the entirety of that poor Earthblood Village witnessed his shame, caught outside red-headed with the stolen food. Things were swell. He disappeared the next day and no one knew I had anything to do with it. Then about a week later he returned and I felt the full force of his wrath. His father was important... apparently. And apparently, he was kinda mad about what I did to his son. He forced me from my home, telling my parents that they could either send me off to the Sky Nexus to be taught disicpline and respect... or he would banish me. They chose the former option." Gale took another sip of tea. "I was stripped of everything. My home. My family. My possessions. And I was sent to the Sky Nexus." She scoffed. "I never actually made it."

Lujanne frowned slightly as she waited for Gale to gather her thoughts and continue with her tale.

Zerina - Moon elf

"Pretty much, yeah. That's what I based it on. My parents took me to visit a Sunfire elf village once and one of their candy shops had a hydraulic system for sending cake orders to the bakery section. The owner saw I was interested in the tech behind the system and was kind enough to explain it to me when I explained my idea for feeding the birds." Zerina confirmed, pulling out one of her food capsules to show it to the others.

"I use these food capsules to deliver the grubs and treats to the different birds. It pops open and spills out into their dish as soon as it reaches the designated bird. There's a section for regular foods, herbal medications they might need and their treats." She explained to the other Elves, showing them one of the steel food capsules.

"You guys wanna try the system? We just have to fill the capsules with their food first." Zerina offered, gesturing to the bags of herbal remedies, treats and grubs in the labeled bags and barrels along the wall.

(this is the way the tube would look to the birds: and this is how the feeding system would look only going to the different stalls just to give you an idea of what they look like, except they'd be made from metal instead of plastic)

Moremi nodded, walking over and grabbing a bag of the feed. It was heavier than she expected, but she enjoyed the strange smell of the herbs and grains combined. Pouring into the glass tubes, she watched the feed travel into the individual pens. After all of the Moon Phoenixs had been fed, eating happily and squawking in enjoyment. Lathri listened to Gale's story with rising astonishment, hearing familiar parts about halfway through. A distant cousin of hers was surrounded by rumors, most of which boiled down to more or less what Gale was describing. And it did sound like that cousin's father to banish Gale instead of disciplining his son. He was a jerk. They both were, actually. But she also knew the blame in a story never lay with the one who was telling it, so she took Gale’s version of the events with a pinch of salt.

She still hadn’t heard anything explaining why Gale needed that spell, but she saw there was more to come, so she kept any commentary for herself and waited patiently.

"The village was attacked. By humans." Gale furrowed her brow slightly. "I am not sure what they were doing so far into Xadia. They seemed to be looking for something. And they were more than happy to pillage and plunder across anything that got in their way. My parents stayed to fight. They were captured. The humans cut off their horns and took them along. I... I was too late to save them." Gale tilted her head slightly as she took another sip of tea. "I was niave then. Young. Ambitious. I thought I could save them. I was daft. I followed the caravan all the way back to a human town. Then I waited until the cover of night to begin my plan. Long story short, I failed. Miserably. Probably because my wings aren't exactly the most discreet thing on the planet. They found me, the subdued me and when I awoke I was tied down. I heard voices. Arguments. One insisted that they chop off my wings and stuff them, then sell them on some market. Apparently elf wings are... valueable to humans. The second argued that they kept me as some kind of pet for their armies for scouting missions or whatever. I was mortified." Gale sighed a bit. "Their squawling lasted well into the night and by morning, I was prepared to lose my life. I guess the second guy won the argument because they put me in chains and moved me somewhere else. They told me that if I did as I was supposed to do, they would let me see my parents again. So I did. I worked for them. For months. It wasn't the best business transaction I ever made.  I was kept in the stables with the horses and fed the scraps of whatever they were eating that day." She wrinkled her nose in a slight show of disgust. "Every day I would ask them 'when can I see my parents' and everyday they would reply with 'soon'. Eventually I got sick of waiting so decided that I had find them. I wish I hadn't." Gale sighed. "The escape wasn't easy. It took weeks worth of plotting and planning for me to even consider it. I couldn't sneak out. My wings are horns are way too obvious. I had to fight my way out. And I did not escape without injuries. But I managed. Miraculously." Gale pulled down her sleeve, revealing a massive scar that extended along the width of her shoulder, disappearing into the clothes down her back and between her wings. Nightingale readjusted the sleeve of her shirt and continued on. "It took me about another week to track down where they were keeping my parents. At a base camp on the border of Xadia and the human realm. It was... suprisingly easy to break inside. I realise in hindsight that is because they wanted me to. Like I said. I was naieve. I never even thought for a moment that this could be a trap."

Gale paused for a moment, as if in deep contemplation before she continued.

"They had my parents locked up... but alive. I had just managed to free them when the humans came rushing in, weapons drawn. The fight that ensued was grusome. And my parents... well I'm not too sure what happened to them in the end. I just know that they forced me to flee, to fly away while they held off the humans. Before I left, my mother gave me something of hers. A choker with an opal enfused with Sky Arcanum. It was something that had been in her family for generations. Something her mother gave her... and her mother before her. She used to tell me that my whole bloodline looked out for and protected the one wearing the necklace. That is all just a fairy tale... of course. But it is sitll the only thing I had of her's. The only thing to remind me of my parents." Gale dipped her head back. "It wasn't until recently that I had to guts to go back there. To investigate what happened. They had abandonded the camp. I think someone attacked them and drove them out. The place was completely abandonded. I made the mistake to follow the trail clues and venture into the human realm. I was ambushed there by a group of thugs, thinking that they were vailantly defending their home. They... they drove me back, took my necklace and ran off." Gale clenched her fist a bit and looked down. "And I want it back. But I can't go into human territory looking like this. I've made that mistake multiple times before. Things just got worse. So I came here." She looked up at Lujanne and sighed. "This isn't about revenge. I've had enough time to accept that. This is about closure. I want to know what happened to my parents. And I want that necklace back. That is why I asked for the spell to turn myself into multiple things. I need to be undercover in the human kingdoms, I need to fit in, look exactly like them. Humans look different depending on where they were born, just like elves. And I don't know where this journey will take me. Only that I have to be prepared."

((If this seems a bit too dramatic that is because it is probably... embellished. Hehe. But a lot of it is completely true as well and I'm not gonna say which bits are and are not true. Just that Gale is a born story teller so it would be very difficult to tell that she isn't being 100% candid.))

Lathri \Skywing Elf/

Lathri was mortified by the story. Now she understood why humans were so hated. If they were capable of keeping elves as pets, or worse, cutting off Gale’s beautiful wings like some sort of trinkets, they must surely be the most despicable creatures on the planet. She was horrified by the enormous scar. How could anyone do that to another person?

Never in her wildest dreams could Lathri have imagined Gale’s story would be something like this. It seemed too gruesome to be true. But she could see in Gale’s eyes that it was.

“This isn't about revenge. Only that I have to be prepared,” Gale pleaded with Lujanne, who looked deeply moved.

Lathri had always followed her heart, and she could see with crystal clarity what she wanted to do now. She reached across the table and put her hand on Gale's, not caring if it was sappy. “I’ll help you,” she promised. Learning the Moon Arcanum could wait, she knew that she wouldn’t be able to focus on studying while wondering how Gale was faring anyway.

Gale gazed across at Lujanne, guaging her expression to see whether or not the guardian would be incline to lend her assistance. She was so intent, she did not notice Lathri until the other SkyWing had set a hand over her own.

Gale yelped in suprise and pulled back, looking over at Lathri.

"I'll help you." Lathri told her with a firm tone.

"Wait, what?" Gale blinked in startlement. "I don't know. It's really dangerous. These people... they aren't to be trifled with. This is my struggle. It's a journey that I must face alone."

"Nonsense." Lujanna cooed, a languid smile creeping across her face. "I will provide you with the spell that you seek."

"Really?" Gale asked, eyes widening.

"-If," Lujanne continued sternly, "you allow Lathri to join you on your mission."

Gale inwardly sighed. "She could di.e."

"And you can't expect to do this alone." Lujanne countered. "She offered her assistance. You should be grateful to take it. No one is meant to be alone in this world. Not even you."

Gale sighed audibly this time. "Alright. You can come" She glanced at Lathri then turned back to Lujanne. "But I want this journey to be a productive one. Do you think you could lend some moon magic scrolls? So she can study." Gale crossed her arms.

"That can be doable." Lujanne nodded. "It's very considerate of you."
Gale scoffed, hiding a blush of embarassment by turning away

"It has to be good right? My parents wouldn't have sent me off on a wild goose chase!" She started to laugh heartily but it ended up as a nervous chuckle.

“Wait, what? I don't know. It's really dangerous. These people... they aren't to be trifled with. This is my struggle. It's a journey that I must face alone,” Gale protested. Lathri was about to cut her off, but Lujanne beat her to it.

“Nonsense,” the mage said, a smile spreading across her face. “I will provide you with the spell that you seek.”

“Really?” Gale said hopefully.

“...If you allow Lathri to join you on your mission, “ Lujanne finished.

“She could d.ie,” Gale pointed out.

Lathri opened her mouth to protest, but Lujanne cut her off again.

“And you can't expect to do this alone. She offered her assistance. You should be grateful to take it. No one is meant to be alone in this world. Not even you.”

“All right,” Gale sighed, looking at Lathri. “You can come.”

Lathri felt a snarky “She is glad to hear it,” come up, but held it back. This wasn’t the time to joke, so she just smiled at Gale.

Who apparently wasn’t finished. “But I want this journey to be a productive one. Do you think you could lend her some moon magic scrolls? So she can study.” Lathri smiled a little wider in appreciation.

“That can be doable,” Lujanne nodded. “It's very considerate of you.”

Gale scoffed, but it sounded more like she was done with the touchy-feely stuff for the moment and not like she was actually being condescending.

“So,” Lathri said, finding it about time for her to add to the conversation again, “where do we go?”

"Haha! Hopefully! Are you sure they didn't mentioned who or what you were looking for?" Bixby asked Aspen again, to double check.

"So, where do we go?" Lathri asked

"You guys promised me sob stories, too." Gale objected, earning a sharp look from Lujanne. Gale slumped slightly. "Fine, fine. I got it. I suppose we can leave as soon as we can. Close as much distance as we can't before the we run out of light."

Lujanne nodded and tilted her head. "Do you have something on you. A bracelet, or necklace?"

Gale glanced up and nodded. She unclasped the choker she wore around her neck and held it out. "I made this myself after my mother's was stolen... guess it is kind of like a security blanket."

Lujanne chuckled and took it. She cupped it in her hands, tilting her head as a light blue glow emitted from within her closed palms. She handed the necklace back to Gale. "I can't say I have ever performed an enchantment quite like this before. Just think about what you desire to look like, and you should appear that way. Within reason, of course."

"Should?" Gale asked incredulously.

Lujanne merely smiled. "The enchantment won't be able to make your wings disappear entirely. The spell will hide them, but they will still exist, physically. So be careful."

Gale sighed then nodded. "Thank you." She said and clasped the choker back on.

"As for you," Lujanne turned towards Lathri, "would you like a few scrolls listing spells and the basics of moon magic? I recommend practicing at night when you first start out."
