Rate My Art!!! pls
I drew this myself. It's a redesign of my oc CloudCatcher. Anybody have any suggestions on how to make it better. I personally am very proud.
It looks great! well done.
its a good idea to try reserching the skellital and body stuctures of legs and wings in animals to learn better anatomy. theres plenty of youtube toturials and image digrams that can help you learn it (Learning it can really help impove ones art and help grasp a better understanding of how things work). It might be frustrating at first to understand but just keep practising^^
Beautiful, it worked very well :-)
looks nice! good colour scheme, love the gradients! I'd recommend practicing feathers and looking at how you want to style them; you've got a solid start but an understanding of how flight feathers are structured on the wing and individually goes a long way.
the crossed arms look good too, nicely relaxed pose over the chest. keep it up :)
I'm not going to rate your work since that just seems... I don't know. I can give you a number but what would that number mean? Giving someone's hard work an arbitrary number seems a bit degrading ;;
I think it's cute! I like the design idea you have there. It's simple and not overdesigned while still eye-catching. The pose is simple yet it's not 'creature just standing there'. Though the colour values are a bit unbalanced. The contrast is very high on the green channel whereas there's none on the blue channel. Balancing out the values helps a lot when it comes to the overall look of a piece. Try checking out the individual colour channels and you'll see what I mean.
Looking up real-life reference can help tons with proportions and anatomy. I would reference real bird wings, to name an example, as well as terrestrial animals for the limbs and placement thereof. The more 'correct' a fantasy creature looks, the more people are willing to suspend their disbelief. The wings are very noticeable due to them being the focal point of the drawing, and people are more like likely to notice flaws in an important part of a drawing.
The wings on your dragon distract from the rest of the picture a little due to the difference in detail in the lines. Every individual feather is lined whereas the dragon's body itself has almost no details. I think that if you use fewer lines in the wings, or maybe give the lines a lighter colour, the overall picture will look more balanced and clean.
All-in-all, keep going and improving!
