Random, 'automatic' charge to my saved method???

This morning I woke up to an email thanking me for my gem purchase. Lo-and-behold, upon logging into the game, I do indeed have 500 more gems than I did last night when I went to bed. Now, I have purchased gems within the last week, hwoever, those were successfully applied at the time of purchase already. When I log into my PayPal account (the method that was initially saved for future purchases) I can see where the other, intentional gem purchases were made, those are all labeled as payment. This new charge for $4.99 is labeled as "automatic".

It concerns me that there may be a system bug that automatically makes gem purchases at random times, without your knowledge. I know this was not my subscription renewal, as that does not renew until august 12th, and is for $9.99, not $4.99. I have already sent in an email to custoer support, but in the meantime, has anyone else ever expierienced a random, unauthorized charge to buy gems?
