I don't remember if I commented on this or not, but I remember when this game was just starting and how exciting it was when my dad bought me a month membership so I could get toothless. The old quests were... interesting. I'm very glad that they expanded everything and that the old starting quests aren't there because they got very repetitive.

My last bit of hope for fixing the game and making a change, goes to Toothless. I will be focusing my energy and time in this petition thread, in hopes something will change. Devs, please fix the game, please listen to the community- That's all we really want. The best way to aknowledge us is to fix Toothless's model, animations, and add a customizing feature for his tail wing- To set him apart from the clones.
Hello! I want to classify that I saw a toothless remodel almost 5 months ago while trying to ride toothless, his icon changed and it looked way more like the movies. It could be a glitch however I can confirm they are trying to update toothless. However, at this point I think they should remove toothless's old membership, make a new one and import the new toothless like how they did with the light fury. Since it seems like the old one can't handle the new toothless. Besides, they don't need to replace hiccups toothless, they only need to replace ours.
That gives me hope. If this glitch occurs again, mind sending a screenshot to this thread? Thanks so much for sharing and for supporting my petition thread.
I agree, Toothless is the original Httyd dragon, and an alpha, he deserves better.

I'd definitely like to see his flight animation updated, when he flies upwards he flails and his running/walk animations are pretty outdated.
Bumping. I'm not giving up on this cause. Devs, you want to reconcile with your players, yes? Well, fixing Toothless' model, animations, and adding tail fin accessories will make your players happy. I've had Toothless for 5 years and want him fixed. Please do this for your players.

The game is going bonkers. Could it be a potential new update? More specifically, a Toothless remodel update? One can dream. Devs, what on earth are you guys planning? It seems way more than just a coincidence that the game starts acting up during the New Year (a lot more than usual,that is).

Some things to remember about fixing the Toothless Model/Animation
If you want Toothless to be like our dear Night Light Pouncer here ^ all sleek and beautiful in flight -
That'll have to wait a while. While I see it'll be really easy to fix him (how he looks and moves), they'll also have to (or should) go through every model with the Toothless animations and fix them as well. Big dragons that come to mind are the famous Woolly Howl and the Sand Wraith, not to mention countless others with that same model and animation.
I have no doubt they can do it, and are working on it, but to do it right will be a bit :)
I completely get that. It takes time and effort. This thread is more or less meant to show that I believe in the devs and I know they can do it. I have faith in them. Thanks for responding to this petition thread. It's nice seeing you around again, SouloftheFoxy!
Devs, I'm still waiting for a tail wing feature for Toothless plus model/animations. The tail fin I want the most in game is his HTTYD 3 tail wing. I understand you might not be able to do that for a couple of reasons but look at Titan Uprising; Toothless has a black tail fin. I really want this To be a feature in the game. Changing his tail wings would be awesome. I have faith in you devs you not only owe it to the mascot of HTTYD but to your players as well. Please give Toothless the model, animations and tail wing he deserves. Please do this for us Devs.

The reason why toothless can't get a remodel from what he is is mainly because the toothless people have are also connected to expansion pcks and hiccups toothless. Which means, if they do add a new model all of these expansion packs and hiccups toothless will glitch and completely destroy the game with it. However, the ONLY alternative solution that will NOT break the game is a Titan Toothless. They were able to do it with the nightlights ( changing the special role into adult age up ) they can probably do the same to toothless. We already have a Titan version of Toothless in " Titan's Uprising " however, if they don't want to do such they can make the titan of toothless into a permanent Alpha Toothless with updated model and fixed animations. I know, it's a bummer adult toothless can't be fixed for the safety of the game, however Titan Toothless is our ONLY option.
please notice I am being as sincere as I can. Trying to replace toothless even in a booted version of the game completely destroys and crashes the game. I tried this, and this is what I got 4 times with just changing his model to a deadly naddar )
This is off-topic. I don't wanna jump to conclusions, but... are you saying that you hacked the game in an attempt to change Toothless's model?
I have re-read your response at least 3 times. The last part confuses me a lot. But I still believe adult Toothless can be fixed- The Titan route could work but not a permanent alpha Toothless. We already have a skin that costs a bunch of money and I don't think people will be pleased to have a permanent model of Alpha Toothless. I've spoken with one of the admins and they mentioned fixing dragon models when I directly asked if they were going to fix Toothless- Also, did you seriously hack the game to test out what would happen if a New Toothless model took the old models place? I'm genuinely curious about this.
I have a few small announcements to make- One, I still have hope for Toothless getting a remodel and potentially getting a new tail fin function (new tail fins with a toggle switch to put on or remove his tail fin). After Brynjolf's post about upcoming features coming in February. This thread will remain until we get more info or the features/remodel happen. I would also like to ask people to stop bumping the thread if it's at the top of the new topics area. I don't want to annoy users because of this, especially not during these times. I strongly believe all the OGs (the original 5: nadder and monstrous nightmare especially) deserve to be reanimated, potentially with updated models as well. Toothless looks amazing but his animations... well...

As stated above, I just did these edits to showcase that honestly, the Toothless model we have isn't that bad. He still looks like Toothless, he just needs updating. I couldn't do his sitting animation, but hopefully you enjoy these flight edits!
I took inspiration from the Night Light models. They hold their feet in flight, their wings aren't all bent awkward, and when they turn in flight they look towards the direction they are headed. Such beauties!
Alright, nothing new has really happened with Toothless except they removed the wing hooks and a couple texture upgrades, as far as I can tell. This thread is going to keep going but I'll be spacing out bumps as not to annoy other people.
I like Toothless' current model, I (personally) would be rather disappointed if they updated him to appear more like himself in HTTYD 3. I am biased though but that's only because I adore and much prefer the "old" Toothless. But I am all for updating his animations, my boy looks stiff- he deserves better. I do love the idea of being able to switch up his tail, though. I think it'd be fun. :)
I can't believe I missed this. Haven't been on the thread as much as I was. I agree that I don't want Toothless to look like the Httyd 3 version. I would much prefer a Httyd 1 or 2 model in the game. Unfortunately, they'll most likely use the Httyd 3 version. If they do go this route, I would hope they make it look better than his movie counterpart.
The tail fin idea would be so awesome. That way, every Toothless could be different from one another, heck, even clan symbols/colors would be awesome and unique! Although, that would be a small probability, way smaller than using tail fins from the movies, shows, series, ect. Still hope they'll add it nonetheless.
