PC Thawfest - Quest Problem: Ruffnut's A Unique Lei quest

First, I have two Vikings: Main Viking is MiserableBergstrom and 2nd Viking is ScrapsBergstrom. My Account ID is CoalBright.

I had no problems when playing today's Thawfest Daily Quests with my Main Viking . . . they were fun and no problems arose.

I then played three totally different Thawfest DailyQuests with my 2nd Viking . . . problems developed with the third Quest: Ruffnut's A Unique Lei. The flower hunt location was Hobblegrunt Island. I found the first two types of flowers. The first flowers were red; the second flowers were white. These searches/finds/pickups went perfectly.

However, looking for the 12 blue flowers did not go well. I did find the first 3 flowers. On the fourth search, I found the right spot, I could not find/see a flower with sparkles around it; there was absolutely, definitely no flower to pick up. I searched for awhile, and then I finally decided to just restart the game and my PC. That did not work; I still could not find the other blue flowers.

So, I gave up and uninstalled the lastest game update, restarted my computer, re-downloaded today's game update, and restarted my computer. Well I found three more flowers and then the same problem occurred. I took a chance, exited the game and then immediately logged back into the game. Yay, I found three more floweres, but that was when I also realized, I was collecting the flowers from the exact same spots that I had located the previous three flowers I had collected.

But now, at least, I had 9 of 12 flowers. You guessed it; again, I could not find the last flowers I needed. I repeat the process of exiting the game and Immediately logging back on the game. Yay, for a third time, I found the flowers I needed, again at the same spots as I found the other flowers. But, at least, I now had 12 flowers, so ended the quest.

Anyone else have a simialr problem with this quest?

I don't know if this is an actual bug or just the program not installing correctly on my PC.

I think it's worth noting here that I just did this quest today with no problems whatsoever. So, it isn't a global problem.

I didn't have any problems with it either. I actually had problems with a different one, the one where you fly through the rings at the Ship Graveyard. At first the goal post you're supposed to shoot at the end wasn't there so I relogged and when I did the quest disappeared. I relogged again and the quest came back and I had to fly through the rings again. Then when I was asked to shoot the floating boxes, I noticed all of the boxes had disappeared. No amount of relogging will fix it. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and that didn't work. Every time I'm asked to shoot the boxes, they're just not there. I've still got this quest active because I can't complete it. I'm hoping it will be gone tomorrow since it's a daily quest for today.

Got that quest again today(the Ship Graveyard one) and it worked just fine. Don't know why it glitched yesterday but at least it worked today. XD

PC Thawfest: Ruffnut's A Unique Lei quest . UPDATE

First, thank you to everyone for posting replies. I'm glad to hear other players are not having trouble with this quest.

Update 5-15-20: I have completed this Quest twice, since I issued this Bug Report. Each time it worked pefectly, except for my inept ability to see the flowers. On the these quests, I found blue flowers located neat the water pools and the tall twin trees on the far side of the island. Very different spots, from where I found the flowers the first time I did the quest. As stated, I was not sure if I had trouble due to a bug or because I had trouble updating/installing the software on my computer.

Final Update - Bug remains-1 version of the Ruffnut's Lei quest

I have now played the Ruffnut's Lei quest four times.

Per my lead post, I reported a Bug, explaining what had occurred when I played this quest. The second and third time I played the quest, I had no problems! However, in these two versions of the quest, I found the flowers were located on different parts on Hobblegrunt Island. Luckly, this version of the quest has no Bug.

Today, I played this quest for a fourth time. It turned out to be the same, Bugged, quest I played the first time. The only way I could complete this quest was to log out of and then back into the game four separate times. The Bug occurs, when searching for the fifth flower. All you can see is a blank spot on the ground. Once you log back in, you will find two more flowers, but then the bug reoccurs, thus the reason why you have to repeat the steps four times to collect the last eight flowers.

See these pics, for the location of the fifth flower, where the quest bug occurs and re-occurs.

See the blue circle; it indicate a rounded hilltop behind the ridge above the nesting ground. This rounded hilltop is where you will find bugged flower; it is located over and down the farside of this hill.

This is the farside of the hill, and Pouncer and I are sitting right on top of the spot where the arrow leads us; however, there is no flower to collect.

Hope this info helps in fixing this bug.
