My flightmare changed colors
I came back online after being away for a while and noticed that one of my flightmares had changed its color from black&green to the default colors shown when you hatch a flightmare. I didn't spend gems on fixing it, although I'd really appreciate it if my dragon was given back its original appearance!
It's normal... the Devs decided to give the Flightmares a permanent "glow" by making their colors bright and lighty last year during the Dreadfall Event. It's impossible to make it return to its default color. So in other words, my black Flightmare now has a dark shiny blue color, it's annoying.
i still think it might have been a glitch that they just decided to let be rather than turn it back to normal tbh
Nope, sadly it's a permanent thing they changed to make the Flightmares look more ''Cannon'' like the series. A lot of other threads talk about this. This is a useless change in my opinion, but might gonna deal with it.

A lot of people think that the explanation of "It was done to make it more canon" was just a cover up because it's actually a glitch that they don't know how to fix. I have to admit that I've always been suspicious of the explanation we were given. There are so many dragons in game that we can color any way we want to, why choose 1 random dragon out of all of them and decide to limit it's color options so horribly because they want it to be canon? Idk, something about their explanation has just never added up for me.
Glitch or not, Flightmares were better without the sudden change. It appears the same for the Dreadstrider, since we can't make a pure black with it, but I'm okay with it since it haven't been in game for a long time. (Plus, their color options are pretty good in my opinion.)
Apparently, someone who sent a message to a Dev or someone else got the reply that it was a permanent change to the Flightmare. They could at least have warned us about it, but oh well ;-;
I agree, I liked the Flightmares better before the change. I wish they would be put back to how they were but I figure that's never going to happen. I'll just have to deal with it no matter how much I don't like it. XD
I already got used to my Titan Flightmares' :'D I got them some beautiful colors!
I barely use my normal ones due to the colors, my poor Pumpkin looks green and yellow now, like a banana ;v;
I'm still BEYOND ANNOYED by this, absolutely random, unecessary and useless change, that's done nothing to improve anything but the opposite. I got a few Flightmares, most of them titaned, and I didn't pay for my Flightmares to have them looking like how they are now, this is just unfair.
Heck? SoD is far from being canon to the series. Its always been this way anyway, SoD was never even canon in the first place. So just WHY all of a sudden bother?!? Noone had a problem, and noone asked for this.
Rise of berk did not have a problem like this and made pink,green and even red flightmares.But SoD just had to devastate their colours.The least they could've done is to warn us,not just bring it unannounced.I will still be angry but less angry.The funny thing is,it came after the dreadstrider release.

This truly is just a proof how low the devs have sunk. Not only many dragons have outdated animations, now this? And who's bright idea was to 'make the game more canon'? Stupidest thing I've ever heard.
