Looking for a Game
I have been trying to find a video game. I am not on any other forums, so I am not sure if there are any other places I could ask about it.
My dream video game would be a combination of a Zoo Tycoon game and Spore. A game where you create a zoo, but you also get to create creatures for the zoo, even choose their environment, behaviors, etc. I’ve been trying to find something like this, but I have not been able to. Does a game like this exist?

The only thing I can think of that is even remotely similar to that is Species.
You create these little potato creatures and then change aspects of their environment (make it super cold, for instance) and the game will simulate how these creatures may change physically and behaviorally to adapt to this new environment.
It's not a zoo per se, but you do create the island they live on. And you design the creatures initially. Their looks and behaviours change as the environment around them does.
Have you tried zoo 2 Animal Park. I haven't tried it, but I keep getting ads about it. It looks like a game where you get animals and you can decorate the enclosures.
The only reason I know about it is because it always comes up as an ad in SoD

I recommend Planet Zoo for all your Zoo Tycoon cravings! It has a little bit of a learning curve but it's my favourite zoo/animal management game since Zoo Tycoon 1. You can't create your own animals though, but it gives you the freedom the Zoo Tycoon games have never had for the rest.

A game that would come closest to a mix of Spore and Zoo Tycoon though? I'm kinda thinking SimLife but that's around 3 decades old and it really shows. You'll either like it or hate it.
I'm also thinking of the Creatures series. Not exactly what you're looking for, but there's a lot of cool things you can do and there's a lot of genetic manipulation stuff you can mess around with. No zoos though. Creatures Exodus is like 5 bucks on GoG or something. Check it out if you're into AI/AL and complex genetics. I personally think this is what Spore tried to be until they decided to make it more game-y.
Thank you for the suggestions! I have heard about Planet Zoo, but I have not tried it yet. I have enjoyed other similar games though, so I think I'd like it.
i think there are some Jurassic World games where you can create your own park and hybrids.
