Jewel Spinner Dragon Adopts (New Thread)
Okay... I have another thread with the same thing.... Found Here... Unfortunately it's super old, and just poorly organized... So... I decided to just make a new thread, try to make it overall better, with an updated ref sheet and all that for the dragon...
I'm carrying over the other spots thread from the previous thread over here, and the spots are still unlimited.
Same as the last though, 2 pure black dragons per 10 people, and 2 pure white dragons per 10 people.
((So all black or white with no or extremely little colour in the markings))
After that, only minorly dark (dark-ish colours) or fairly pastel (very noticable colours) dragons until it resets.
Still trying to do some art of the dragon's themselves after the ref is done.... But... Since I haven't finished the other's just yet, it may not happen... At least not for a while..... I'll try to get through it all tho...
But in addition to this, those pieces of everyone's indiviual dragon from the other thread will be placed here instead.
Uhm... Think that's it for the meantime?

Oh, I'm sorry! I forgot to thank you for these guys and the Duma in my excitement at getting them! So, here's a belated thank you for my amazing dragons so far!

She has gold ear cuffs on both of her main ears, with gold chains that go to smaller, sleeker cuffs on the bottom ears
Cuff resembles this (but ya know...shaped to a dragon's head, not a human's) with gold and indigo feathers. The part that goes around the ear is like gold, thin lines studded with sapphires
Has a gold, decorative harness that starts at the neck, down her chest, and fades down her back...couldn't find a reference so...I trust your artistic judgment ;) (Also studded with sapphires)
Marking Type: Kind of a combination of Egyptian paintings and scattered (dare I say, glitched) tiger striped pattens. Egyptians in a curl of gold under her eyes and more hieroglyphic-like along the sides. And the striped patterns across the top and slight sides of her back.
Personality (Optional):
Quark is a little ball of energy. She is very free spirited and independent, especially for a dragon her age. It could come from her griffinoid adoptive family, but nevertheless is a force to be reckoned with. She's not afraid to speak her mind, but she is highly empathetic of others. She doesn't like seeing people sad and will do many things to cheer them up. She's a very family-oriented creature and tries her best to keep up with her older siblings. She is closest with her older brother Ion. Despite her love of gold accessories, she is a very down-to-earth dragon and isn't afraid to get her claws dirty, especially when Ion lets her help in preparing his prey for feasts.
Backstory (Optional):
Being a special Force-sensitive dragon, she was taken at a very young age by a species only known as the Shadowbourne. She lived (was held hostage) in their caves and prisons for about six months before being rescued by the royal family of Lifree, during an attack of the last Shadowbourne base on the planet.
After returning to the capital, the royal family took the young hatchling in as their own, after discovering that her birth parents were no longer alive.
Since then, Quark has added much joy into the lives of the griffins and to the workers and guards in the palace.

Marking Colours: Could that black, cloudy area on the back and wings be a dark blue? Also... could her underbelly be a dark brown, please? Also... if this isn't too much trouble, could you add clusters of small specks on her body--only some areas, not everywhere--similarly to how a Ticked Tabby cat has a bunch of small specks on its pelt? Could the specks be bright blue, bright red and goldish-yellow?

I can do a lot so no need to limit yourself) Random spider webs woven between spikes and, in them, various jewels... it's kinda like the jewels are caught in the webs like flies XD The webs don't have to be between the spikes if you don't want them to be... you can put them wherever you want :)
Marking Type: (Provide a pic if need be) Here's a pic of an Abyssinian (Ticked Tabby). The speck-clusters don't have to look exactly like this... you can do whatever you think looks best. The idea/inspiration merely came from the cat... but it doesn't have to be remotely perfect. Also, the cat has specks virtually everywhere on its body... but I would like the dragon to have them only in some areas. :)

Personality (Optional): Thysteméb is obsessed with gems and stars. She commonly collects various jewels--the sparklier, the better--and she often gazes dreamily up at the stars. Unlike a lot of other Jewel Spinners, she's rather aggressive toward other dragons and prefers to spend her days alone.
Backstory (Optional): A long time ago, Thysteméb had a family. Unfortunately, through a long string of events, her mate ended up betraying her... and her beloved daughter ended up dying. Fearing that consequent heartbreak, Thysteméb has henceforth avoided all relationships. She believes all creatures are despicable and has developed some trust-issues. Her greatest fear is to care for someone as much as she had cared for her late daughter... and then to watch that someone perish.
She is very old and considers herself to be very wise... and she personally believes that her impressive age is due to her tendency to avoid all living things, thus protecting herself from them. She considers herself to be very happy and content to be alone... and she deems her possessions her friends. However, deep down, a fierce loneliness haunts her... and her bright, colorful, glorious gems and stars are never enough.
Anything Else?: Um, if it's alright, could you put a red tear coming out of one of the eyes? ...So, it's sort of like the dragon is crying a tear of blood or something XDD You don't have to if you don't want to :)

Heyo! I'd love an updated reference of Rurik, if you don't mind ^-^
If you'd like to do some changes, I'd love for his eyes to be more pale, as if it's a "sick green." Could his spikes color also be dimmed down to a dirty red, similar to his Markings?
Since he was somewhat inspired by a favorite horror character who has a history with fire, I'd love for some burn scars to be added if possible. Some major spots being on his right side of face, chest, and forearms.

Jewel Spinners are flameless dragons until they consume jewels, coal from other dragons fire, or scales or bones of other dragons. This then allows them to produce fire of any type for a short period of time, the time of which changes depending how much they eat, how many different types they eat, and how often it's used. A few examples is if they eat cooled fire of a Monstrous Nightmare, they may coat their skin in the same kerosene gel and light their bodies aflame. If they eat Iolite from a cave wall, they can shoot plasma blasts like a Night Fury. If they wanted to change their appearance like a Changewing, they can eat the bones or the scales of a Changewing that's passed to do so. They are also able to use several different types of jewels at once to allow different combos, however this lessens the time they can use it for before they return to flameless dragons. Examples, they can eat an infused stone of Zippleback gas, and a Nightmare coal to have longer lasting flammable gas and flammable skin at the same time.
Their average height is about 10-12 ft tall for fully grown females, and 13-14 ft tall for fully grown males, reaching around 40 ft in length, with a wingspan of 70 ft. Their lifespan averages around 80 yrs, longer if well taken care of or in a prosperous clan. Their speed in flight can easily match a Night Fury's, but rarely surpass it, being far faster than the Duma Ormsliki, who tops out at 140 Km/h. They have three rows of spikes down their head to mid neck, and the same three rows of spikes from mid back to tail, where it then spins around to cover the whole tail. They are able to send these spikes on their tail flying towards their target with extreme precision, closing their tail fins to prevent them from being cut up during an spine shot attack. They are also able to retract their canines to match the size of their incisors to close their mouth, as fully extended tends to make it hard for that. They have small pockets between their teeth and tongue to store several different types of jewels or coals, popping them out with their tongue to consume if they need it. They also have strong hearing with two sets of ears, not as great at the Night Fury's, but still allows them to get around caves just fine.
Their colour schemes vary from neon to bland colours, having several different types of markings from strips, to spots, to brindle, and many more. Pure black Jewel Spinners are rare to find, having very little markings or none at all. A pure white Jewel Spinner is just as hard to find as the black, normally only having a single coloured stripe down their back and just cupping the tip of their tail. The average eye colours found is blue, green, or yellow, but several others have been spotted before.
Jewel Spinners tend to group up with several other dragons of the same species or other, but they keep the numbers in their group small and are an extremely close knitted community. Though they're also able to survive quite well without a clan or a close companion, but often settle down in later years with a family. They usually live in mountain areas and caves, only coming down from the high areas to hunt or explore.
They hunt from the air on small animals and fish, diving to collect them in their claws. They rather adore several different types of fruits as snacks, and usually don't mind sharing. Jewel Spinners are extremely friendly dragons, having very little aggression unless in defense or protection, but would rather play with new comers than fight. Though, they rarely get along with Changewings, having more a fear of the dragon than being a rival. (They can just never figure out where they are...Which spooks them when they find the dragon..)
