Jewel Spinner Adopts
Figured I'd give out some Jewel Spinners......... But..... Few things to know about them first....
Jewel Spinners are flameless dragons with spike filled tails. They can shoot fire only if they eat a certain rock, particularly shot at from another dragon. Example.... A Night Fury shoots a rock (any type of rock) and the Jewel Spinner eats the rock or cooled coal from the dragon, they can now shoot plasma blasts. They may also eat scales, and can get skin traits of that dragon. Example.... They eat a Changewing scale, they can change their skin colour to blend into their surroundings. They may also eat a few different types of "jewels" to create combos. Example... A rock from a Monstrous Nightmare, and a rock from a Zippleback, will allow them set their bodies on fire and produce a large amount of gas at the same time. However... This only lasts a max of 30 to 60 minutes. Time period shortens when they eat more than one type of jewel before they become flameless once more.
They can send off spikes from their tail, similar to a Nadder or a Razorwhip, and smaller spikes from their lower back. They have three rows of spikes going down their mid to lower back, and head to middle of their neck. They have semi-retractable teeth, not as severe as the Night Fury's, but enough so they can close their mouth. They also have pockets in between their teeth and tongue to hold jewels which they can pop out at any time, chew up, and create any type of fire according to the jewel. Females are slightly smaller than the males, with more spikes and smaller ears. But not many differentiating designs prior to that.
They enjoy spinning while diving to shoot multiple spines at once, hence Jewel Spinner. They are sociable animals, and is friendly to most dragon breeds, but is not fond of Changewings.
Last but not least, colour schemes may range from a dark shade of a colour to a neon or pastle colour. Pure black or white Jewel Spinners are rare, so I will be giving away one black Jewel Spinner and one white Jewel Spinner. They may have neon coloured markings, but they will be minor, similar to my main dragon Jewels. (All white with minor neon green markings on wings and spine). Once those two are adopted, I will go no darker or lighter than the base colour of the picture below. Ideas being Navy Blue, Brown, or Grey, or pastle colours or light grey.

Also please forgive my lack of understanding- could you clarify a few things about them?
When you give the example of a Night Fury shooting a rock, do you mean ejecting a rock from its mouth or firing plasma at a rock, hitting it, then the Jewel Spinner eats that rock? Are you using jewel and rock interchangeably? Will the same effect happen if it eats a Boulder class dragons’ lava/rock/sand shot? Or Death Song amber? How recently produced does the rock ejecta (or rock fired upon) need to be to still be effective (or rather, what if the rock is really old by the time the Jewel Spinner comes across it?). As the Jewel Spinner can also eat dragon scales and acquire short-term abilities, what about other dragon parts like bones or teeth?

Sorry, yeah if a dragon shoots a rock. The parts of the rock that was shot off, like the crumbs type deaL, is what the Jewel Spinner eats. I say “jewel” in turn of a fired rock rather than just saying rock. Same thing will happen with any other dragon that produces flame. I’m still working out how they could injest certain things, since amber is a much harder substance. I think it best they wouldn’t be able to eat the amber and reuse it, since it’s harder for the dragon to chew it up in a quick manner. If heated enough to open the amber, perhaps they can reuse the ability, but the dragon should have patience for such. Jewel Spinners can use any “jewel” at any point of time regardless how old it is. Although the newer the rock the more it can take from it.
They could get abilities from chewing on bones or teeth, but depending on the dragon. They wouldn’t get any of the previous dragons fire however. Chewing on other dragon bones would more just act as a dog bone to a dog, keeping teeth clean and sharpening them rather than gaining any abilities.

Fun fact... before the RTTE show ended I wanted to try and hand them in so they could be apart of the show... didn’t have them planned out as well before though, so :/ but, that was the whole story... just trying to make them as realistic as possible to fit into the universe... didn’t get too far until after the show ended tho :T
I loosely based them off a Night Fury though, hence its design with wing placement, ears, and body type. I didn’t want to go too overboard so they didn’t blend into a Night Fury but... XD more or less the same :p

Well... I just got off a 12 hr flight and finished most of everyone’s Spinner, including a surprise Jewel Spinner for two friends (with minor details missing here and there). I have another 3 hr flight to get onto soon, so... give me something to do XD
