I'm running out of shows!!
It's a known fact that I have an (slightly)unhealthy obsession with Netflix. Netflix makes the world go round! Anyways, I'm currently watching Trollhunters and I'm gonna be done be done with it soon and I need something to watch once I'm done with it.
So far, over the last few months I've watched Carmen Sandiego, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Project MC squared and some other stuff I can't remember.
Can anyone recommend a good TV series?
-Lily
If you're watching Trollhunters, you've got to see 3 Below and Wizards, they're the sequal series, and there's Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, a movie that takes place after Wizards, coming out soon. I definately recomend Avatar the last Airbender (I'm part way through season 1 of that), Legend of Korra and The Dragon Prince. Haven't actually watched the latter two shows yet, but I know they're good.
Legend of Korra is the sequel series to Avatar the last Airbender. I don't know all that much about it, but I'm pretty sure it's alright.
Have you tried ALL the how to train you dragon stuff on it?
As in:
All 6 seasons of Race to the Edge
All the shorts on there
And Rescue Riders, this one isn't about the cast of HTTYD, and that's about all I know because I haven't watched it, but it is aimed at younger children, so don't know if you want to watch it or not.
And for some light comedy, Garfield.
*Points* Ah a fellow watcher of Tales of Arcadia and Carmen Sandeigo (I noticed your pfp btw, I love it XD) imma be like Netflix and suggest shows based on your recents (jk, these are just some I enjoyed)
I suggest BNA, Glitch Techs, Scooby doo, Kipo, The Hollow, Nailed it, Skylanders, Shadow and Bone, The Flash, Last kids on Earth, Merlin, and Alexa & Katie (my sister's fav so i thought i'd mentino it)
OMG I love skylanders and kipo! Best shows ever! I just think skylanders ruined spyro a little... he was perfect, until I watched it and I was like "yo, what kind of dragon hatches with a diaper!?" Later: "bruh, where's sparx!? Is this Spyro"s twin or something!?" XD
Yesss! Me and my siblings grew up with the game, and had to watch the show. While Spyro was a little strange, I did love dark spyro (probably because his voice actor was also Dipper XD))
And Kipo was really interesting too, I lost interest in the third season and powered it through, but the rest were amazing! Defienitly a different take on the apocolypse
OOoo i love carmen sandiego!!
Here's some i've watchedd that i would suggest :P
- Total Drama Islandd
Competitors come to this one island to compete for the prize through challenges
- Teen titans
It's just a quick small fun stuff you can watch, there are HEAPS of episodes which don't contribute to a storyline so you can watch it however you want!
- Miraculous ladybug!!
One of my fav shows, it's about these teens with superpowers :D it's also got a very cool storyline :P
- Pokemon shows!
I think there are a few shows/movies that you can watch, idk I don't rly watch anime but I've watched one of the movies it was pre good (im also a big pokemon fan so yh xD)
- Accidentally in love :o
It's about this girl who has 2 identities and it's an asian rom com with 26x 40min episodes i think? anyways it's got a nice storylinee
Yeah so those are the ones i watched when my fam activated the monthly trial during the holidays lol xD have fun!
Yeah teen titans is aimed at little children after all lol
Also yeah i agree it gets repetitive, but in the new s4 episodes, hawkmoth gets smarter and so does ladybugg and ahh it gives me the 'eeeeeeee' gives xD
Haha okay lol yeah yeah i get what u meann, my parents are protective of what i watch too :)
For the one on Netflix that hasnt been suggest yet. Hilda and She-ra is pretty good. Especially Hilda, very charming show.
I liked she-ra, there is a very low chance of me watching it again though, as for hilda, it was wrong, just wrong, I didn't like it
there's also a new show coming on Netflix that looks weird and interesting, I watched the trailer. It's called Centaurworld and it's coming July 30
What? that wasn't the word I expect someone to describe Hilda...I mean you can not liking the show and I know it's not for everyone but this is probably the chillest less problematic adorable show on the list so see it being describe as "Wrong, just wrong" is unexpecting XD
Chances are you've watched it already but I'm just gonna put it anyways:
AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER. Oh my Thor oh my Thor. No person's life is complete without watching this spectacular show. Seriously I've never met a single person who'd seen it and wasn't a die-hard fan.
Now, if you already have seen it, then there's a sequel series on Netflix called Legend of Korra, all about the next Avatar. Make it past the first six episodes, which are admittedly bad, and the rest of the story is great (that probably goes for the original show as well). My only thing would be that it takes place at such a different time and in such a different era to ATLA that it helps me not to continually compare the one to the other. Taken next to ATLA, LOK of course comes separate because ATLA was s just a masterpiece, but taken separately, it's a wonderful show in its own right. It's kind of a love/hate thing in the fandom, but I have seen it three times and I love it just as much as its previous series. Some things it does worse, some things it builds on and makes infinitely better.
Then there's the Dragon Prince, which is in some ways a similar show. It's created by one of the same writers as ATLA and actually has a few throwbacks in it-- anyway, whether you're an ATLA fan or not, it's really worth a watch and there's a fourth season coming out this year as well ^^
Also, if you like period pieces and are an Anne of Green Gables fan like me, then you'll love Anne with an E. It's a beautiful show loosely based on the books and while it changes things it does a stunning job of handling Anne's personality and a lot of the trauma in her life. But this show's quite specific. You may or may not like it whereas I will personally guarantee that you will looove the others.
TL; DR: highly recommend Avatar: the Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, and The Dragon Prince. Slightly recommend Anne with an E as one of my personal favourites : )
So, there are my two cents : D Sorry you had to wade through all my fangirling. . . might be a bit obsessed XD Also sorry if you've already seen these, just I'd give them a shout anyways because they're all fantastic shows.
I noticed that you said you have never met anyone who'd seen Avatar: The Last AirBender and who wasn't a die-hard fan. Well I've seen it and I'm not a fan of Diehard.
Sorry, that was a dumb joke.
Haha no it's good! Well executed : D
*whispers* should I know what diehard is. . .?
Greenhouse Academy is good, and there's 4 seasons :)
I don't think there were that many episodes in a season unfortunately...you'll probably get through them in two weeks, but I enjoyed them.
Avatar the Last Airbender all the way.
Otherwise, Merlin, Scooby Doo, Garfield, and Agents of SHIELD if you're a fan of Marvel.
But seriously, Avatar the Last Airbender.
If you like science fiction, I'd recommend Lost in Space! It currently has two seasons (and there's a third season planned). It's based on an older series, (which I'd also recommend, but I don't know if it is on Netflix or not). I don't usually cry during movies/series (they make me feel sad, I just don't usually cry for some reason). I think this series is one of the few that has made me come close to becoming a sobbing waterfall though.
Another one I liked (although I am not sure if it is on Netflix. I did not watch it there, but they might have added it at some point.) was Emergence. Although it was one of those shows that got cancelled without a proper ending. Which was disappointing, since there was more story planned.
I'll put the Trollhunter sequels on my to-watch list. My sister is watching Dragon Prince now, I've gotten a few peeks of it, and to be honest I didn't like it.
I've heard Avatar the Last Airbender is good, and I'll make it a point to watch it. I've never heard of The Legend of Korra in my life, but the name sure makes it sound interesting XD.
Thank you for the suggestions! :)
