HTTYD OC Sketch Requests - Open
Hi, I'm a hobbyist artist who has been playing this game since I was like 10/11 and I think it'd be really nice to learn how to draw dragons while also improving my artstyle for humans! If you want me to draw your OC I', willing to do it over the next week or so! I've included a few drawings I've done recently so you can see the style I work in as well.
Please realize that I probably will forget this post exists by the end of the week so be patient. If you want to reach out to me about it in case I DO forget, my insta and twt is the same (@mosschevious). None of these will be anything more than rough sketches I do during class, at work, or in bed. Although, I will take PAID COMMISSIONS if you're on the older side or you have a parent's full approval, on which you have to reach out to me via DM on Instagram or Twitter. I don't normally request art, in fact this is the first and probably one of the only times I'll do it. But your style is absolutely adorable! Before I submit any request, should I give you a short description of their personalities to help you decide the poses, etc.?
Right right right, here you go. You can take your pick on which one you want to draw, or you could do both I don't mind:

This is Sidvig, she's curious, laid back and friendly. She's also daring and competitve, sort of illogical sometimes and can be kinda rude when she's around those she dislikes. I promise you she doesn't mean it though. A lot sweeter than her dragon, though.
And this is Carnaby, he is arrogant, stubborn and usually seems unimpressed by everything. He likes to think of himself as higher than those around him, taking pride in the fact that he's a rare species.. But at the same time he's cheeky when he allows himself to be. Very loyal, also.

Hi I just saw the thread and I'm meaning to ask is there a form to fill? or do I just put the OC's name, personality, and Pic?

I didn't put a thread to fill because to me it can be really counterintuitive to someone wanting to describe their character. You can explain as much or as little as you want, although typically a basic drawing or description is needed <3
(That and I'm not used to being on forums and the mini culture behind them)

Dude he's so fricken cool. Quick question because I have an idea for the sketch: could I draw his leg's color (i'll use highlighter to show it) fade up with the corresponding thing (lightning and fire)? It'd just blend up his leg and fade out :)))

Hey, I don't mean to interrupt the thread, but could you please give artist credit when you use art that was made for you? I set aside my time (multiple hours) to make this art for you, I think the least you could do is give proper credit (all you have to say is : "by Tigerli1y.")
I mean seriously, "a drawing of him someone made for me." jeez.
artist to artist: if you have issues with people not properly crediting the artist (which sucks, I know, blah blah blah something something I just woke up) then make sure you put a readable signature on everything you make ❤️
but I agree people should literally just credit

A Nightlight with the pattern of an orca. I've had this idea for a while, it would be cool to see it come to life.

Before I ask for one, I have a question. Can I have a drawing of a non-HTTYD character? I know the thread's meant to be for HTTYD OCs- but I'm pushing my luck... XD
I mean the goal is to work on more viking-y outfits and dragons but sure I guess?? It'll just be held off longer lol
Well, I don't mind about how long it takes, really. The chracter I'm about to yeet at you has armour somewhat similar to the dragon armour in HTTYD 3. So you could just pretend it's dragon armour if it helps I suppose.

CHAKOEL (WINDWALKER):
Personality: He is adventurous, playful, extraverted, loud and competitive. He's very bold and daring, confident and proud... but, above all else, he is fiercely loyal and devoted to his viking companion. He is protective of her, and gets lonely without her. He gets bored easily, prefers being outdoors, hates the stables but loves exploring caves. Deep down, he is very affectionate... but he is embarrassed of this fact, so he hides his "soft" side from everyone except his viking.

SOHKI (VIKING):
Personality: She is shy, eccentric, weird, imaginative, quiet. She is a very strange viking, with weird/awkward mannerisms. She often stares into space... and very rarely speaks. She is utterly devoted to Chakoel and enjoys flattering him, even if he doesn't deserve it. She has extreme trust issues: Chakoel is the only being she trusts, and she would di.e for him in battle.

I am, it'll just be slow getting to. I've been kind of just doing it here and there and I'm doing a digitalization of the trade tonight so I can keep going.
