How to level dragons to mount them?
Hey guys so I am not exactly a new player but I might as well be one since I haven't played in two years and decided to come back recently. I was doing quests trying to level up my baby triple stryke and he's lvl 10 but still a hatchling? I've read forum posts and I haven't found an answer about how to make him bigger to mount. I would appreciate some help :)
You have to go to the hatchery, when you get to the lava pit a sign will pop up saying 'is your dragon ready to grow?' Click 'yes' and you he will be leveled up and you will be able to change his colors also.

Adding to the post above you may need to walk to the hatchery twice. Because there is a teen stage too. So if you leave and find you can't fly and instead can only glide you just need to go back and grow again.

In addition, just in case you hadn't heard it before, you can also pretty quickly level up babies/lower level teens via eggs and chopping wood to drain energy (no need for quests when you run out). If you spam click quickly enough, you can feed about 3 at a time despite the dragon only missing 1-2 energy points.
For teens, to save maybe 1-2 eggs, I do a lather rinse and repeat method of 1 lesson of Flight club, exit and feed a bunch of eggs, another single lesson, another egging, etc.
I was doing the egg thing to age up my baby nightmare, it works, but someone was watching me, like just standing there and staring at me...
i believe this would be also helpful,
if you get a new dragon in future and u want to level it up fast just go to the battle events shoot the boat as usual, but when boat reaches 1000 health,
land somewhere and switch the dragon so you could get that battle experience on baby dragon
That's actually the most reliable way I've been doing it so far. I've been trying to get all stable quest heavy dragons to lvl 30 for rune and gem hunting. So far I only have 6 at lvl 30.
