How does fusing work???

You mean fusing weapon parts for Battle Tactics? That's easy.
First, go to Gobber's Smity (at Old Berk or New Berk) and click on the Fuse button.
This will take you to a section where there is a list of weapon blueprints located at the right side of your screen.
The standard blueprints (three blues and three purples) are usually categoriezed by Tiers (or levels), the higher the Tier the better; this basically tells you what items you need from your inventory in order to create additional weapons/clothing for Battle Tactics. Each blueprint are all randomized of what item you're looking for, but doesn't guarantee on an item you're specifically searching for.
Note: The standard blueprints (pictured below) have question marks meaning you can put in any additional item you have available from your inventory to create any random weapon/clothing. Any item as long as your inventory items match the Tier levels.
For additional items (seasonal, limited, or everyday), some are blueprints you have to grind while playing the Battle Tactics levels. It can be hectic, but often times worth it. This Tier 1 Bracers for instance, show a different set of requirements from your inventory-- in this case, pictured below, you need 1 tier 1 bracer and two random items. Again, any inventory item you currently have must match the tier level of the blueprint you want to create.
Before you do any fusing-- or weapon/clothing creating, the MAIN objective is to collect as much metal materials and gold coins to the side for future creating, not just grinding the Tactics level for blueprints.
If you want more metal materials besides playing the Tactics levels, you can also buy them from the store under the weapons sections; they're usually in the Tactics chests wich come with additional weapons/clothing, and costs a lot of Gems.
HOWEVER, if you'd rather save those sweet gems for future events, eggs sale, etc. I recommend you head over to your avatar profile where all your weapons/clothing inventory are, and pick out an item you're not using, uninterested, or recently grind from a level and click that little dismantle button to not only get rid of the item but it will give you a certain amount of metal materials you can use for future crafting in Gobber's Smity.
Note: The higher the Tier level of the item you don't want anymore, the more metal materials you get from that item.

I'd reccomend fusing items you obtain from dragon tactics or that you have fused previously. People have experienced bugs where items bought from the store have had a 100% chance to cause the fuse to fail, and there's always a possibility that this bug could rear its ugly head once more, especially during upcoming events. If you experience this bug, I'd reccomend sending a helpdesk ticket to the Developers.
Yeah, I'm confused with fusing too, tbh.
But I'll use this tips to help me.
So if I want to create the dreadfall skrill armor would I have to get anny three rare items or find specifc blueprints for said armor?
