Hobblegrunt design
Ok so I was wondering if the Hobble grunt design could be made closer to the actual Hobblegrunt than the threadtail
A lot of people have said this already, the Admins already know we want the the Hobblegrunt instead of the Threadtail. Please stop asking. Thank you.
A lot of people want this but frankly I don't see it happening anytime soon, if ever. Recently, there was a thread that someone posted about the Hobblegrunt/Threadtail issue and they posted a screenshot of what an admin said about it on the SOD Discord.
Here's what they said:
(credit for screenshot goes to original poster)
From this, you can see that the Hobblegrunt we have now will probably be the one we always have. To change it, Dreamworks would have to ok it and I just don't see that happening anytime soon.
Honestly, if I was the developer of SoD, I would go red with shame as soon as I realize that someone made the WRONG dragon for the Hubblegrunt and try to do everything in my power to change it.
I dont see it happening.
Not to mention I do not believe whatever is in the screenshot. DreamWorks named the actual Hobblegrunt as Hobblegrunt. This dragon doesnt look anything like it. They cannot say that DreamWorks named the Threadtail Hobblegrunt when officially DreamWorks named the actual Hobblegrunt as Hobblegrunt. At first, the Threadtail was officially an UNNAMED dragon. And NOT the Hobblegrunt.
So, someone is obviously lying.
The screenshot is what an SOD admin said about the Hobblegrunt/Threadtail situation on the SOD Discord. As to whether or not they're lying, I don't know. I was just posting what they said, because it obviously means the issue isn't going to be fixed anytime soon, if ever. There was a thread posted in the General Discussion section a while back discussing what the admin said. It was: Clearing Up the Confusion of Threadtail Vs Hobblegrunt. That's where I got the screenshot from.
Dreamworks could have accidentally told them to name it Hobblegrunt. There could have been bad communication going on, someone got confusesd and gave SOD the go-ahead to name this dragon the Hobblegrunt. Whatever happened, my opinion is that the whole matter should just be dropped. Whether or not he was lying, it's obvious the dragon is probably never going to be renamed so I guess we'll just have to make do.
But then what about the real Hobblegrunt design? If they do make it, what will they name it? Threadtail? That would be double wrong.
Someone needs to step forward and admit they made a mistake instead of trying to bury it and trying to force the players to accept it.
The issue in no way should be dropped. If it is dropped, then the players accept this mistake and would be okay with the dragon being named wrong. Which we do not and we are not. It should not be dropped until the dragon is fixed properly.
I agree that whoever made the mistake should step up and say so that way the problem could be fixed. I figure that if it ever is fixed the Hobblegrunt will be renamed to Threadtail and the real Hobblegrunt will be added.
What though, is constantly complaining about it achieving? Look how long this dragon has been around and the problem still isn't fixed. As I previously stated, the admin who commented on this was pretty straight forward that SOD isn't going to change the current Hobblegrunt. The admins already know a million times over that people want it changed. Constantly complaining about it won't make them change it if they don't want to/can't. It's like complaining that you aren't ready for a test in school and hoping the teacher will change the test date. It just won't happen so there's no point to it. With the problem going on this long plus the comment from the admin, I'm pretty sure that it will never be corrected. At this point, I'm pretty sure that any threads or pms asking for it to be changed are probably ignored.
There is a big difference between a school test and complaining about not having prepared for it.... and a game you purchase stuff from that is named and created wrong.
In the first case, it is your fault for not preparing and you have no right to complain, not to mention a test is not a ware you purchase.
The second case is different, since you complain about an obvious error in a game you purchased stuff from with real money and you want it corrected.
And since it is not just a game but a business.... and since the customers keep complaining about an error.... then they got to respond to it on the website itself, addressing all the complaints AND fix the issue. Or just tell people to buzz off 'cause they dont care about their complaints.
Whoever messed up will need to fix the issue and take it up with DreamWorks.
