Guys, Gals, and Non-Binary Pals: Introducing the Light Woolly!
First off, major kudos who knows where the "guys, guys, and non-binary pals" comes from! After the reveal of the Light Fury and consulting a really good friend of mine, I have decided to make a hybrid dragon! I dub it the Light Woolly, a hybrid dragon between the Light Fury and the Woolly Howl! *jazz hands* I'll be posting the images in the next post but in the meantime, I'd like to provide a backstory as to why I decided to draw this hybrid, plus a few other things. ^w^
The design of the Light Woolly was primarily intended for an OC of mine and my friend named Crystina (those who've read my dragons' thread will know a little bit about her). Crystina was originally a Night Fury (I'm not sure if this is too spoiler-y but I'm going to be cautious; highlight to view: This was long before it was confirmed Toothless is indeed the last of his kind.) but with the introduction of the Light Fury and the changed made over the years to her father, I decided it was about time to change her species! After a conversation with my buddy 'ol pal (one of his characters is Crystina's mother) the Light Woolly was born. . .sorta. The thought of it at least; it took a few months to actually develop the motivation to draw it and roughly a month to finally create a design I was happy with. Here we are now!
I decided to make this a request thread! You too can have your very own Light Woolly! That being said, I ask you do not directly reply to the posts with the Light Woolly information/rules/form and the completed request listings, otherwise I won't be able to edit the posts if need be.

Aw, these are honestly so cute looking, I love it so much, and the efforts to describe the abilites and behavior was a very nice touch. I hope I'm not too late to request ^-^

History: His mother, a stormy grey Wooly Howl, came upon a male Light Fury one day wild scavaging for food. Her rider had recently passed on and she was in a terrible mood, and was about to attack the Light Fury over some prey, when she was shocked to discover the Fury giving up his food to her before flying away.
The next day, she came upon the same spot, with prey already there for her and the scent of the Fury everywhere. Slightly touched, she only ate half and hide herself until night, awaiting for the Fury. He did indeed come back, where then she properly introduced herself, but they were both still wary of one another.
The exchange of food between them continued on for some time and with the rise of colder seasons, the Fury began to live with the Wooly Howl (she was certainly very warm with all of that fur). As spring came, the two couldn't help it. They were in love.
One thing led to another and the couple had a clutch of eggs. This is one of their children: the eldest male.
Personality: Taking after his mother, he's very cautious and tends to almost be paranoid, but as a quiet and more curious nature, possibly from his father's influence. Has no interest in humans, but may change.

Before I get started, I will be using WhispertheWolf's Woolly Howl Theories to help determine the stats of this hybrid dragon; there's an entire thread dedicated to theories of the franchise dragons (with the Prickleboggle coming up, I can't wait!) on the forums but if you only want to read the Woolly Howl theories, you can read it here: https://www.deviantart.com/whisperthewolfie/journal/Dragon-Theories-Woolly-Howl-721461050 I'll be taking both stats, combining them, and dividing them by 2 (excluding stats that are the same for both species of course).
The Light Woolly

Size: The Light Woolly is typically the size of a Night Fury: 26 feet long with a wingspan of 43 feet. It weighs about 2000lbs.
Abilities and Skills: The Light Woolly shares quite a few abilities with its parents, including retractable teeth, cloaking (this is down at a lower temperature than the Light Fury), high intelligence, and speed. It boasts greater strength and endurance than the Woolly and the Light Fury. On its back is a mane of very sharp scales; these scales can be risen up to make the dragon looks more intimidating (similar to how cats raise the fur on their backs to look bigger) or folded down.
Firepower: Like the Light Woolly produces plasma blasts like the Light Fury. These blasts aren't as hot as Light Fury blasts but they can be shot in a sort of spiral like the Woolly Howl does with its icy blasts (in SoD anyways).
Weaknesses: Just like the Light Fury, damaging or losing one of its tail fins will result in the Light Woolly being unable to fly.
Behavior/Personality: Not unlike the other members of its class, the Light Woolly is very elusive and incredibly intelligent. It prefers to attack from afar. While it can get along with other dragons, humans are another story. If you prove you're not a threat, it most likely will just fly away from you; on the other hand, one wrong move is all it takes to fire you into obilvion. It's highly protective and loyal to those it trusts.
Training: Earning this dragon's trust is a difficult journey but the end result is well worth it. Using fish is a great way to start things off; it'll at least stop it from flying away immediately. By showing you're no threat, you can begin the path of gradually gaining its trust. Like the Woolly Howl, its high intelligence makes training it difficult but once its trained, it will remain a very faithful, loyal companion. The ultimate sign of trust with this dragon is when this dragon folds its mane down and/or it lets you fold its mane down. At this point, it's safe to see if you can ride the dragon but it's advised to wait a few days or more so it doesn't think you're destroying its trust.
Hopefully I did that good! I wasn't too sure what firepower this dragon would have but seeing as though this dragon can make use of the Light Fury's cloaking ability, it only made sense to have it produce a plasma blasts. Crystina's a different case but that's for another time.

I know Titan Woollies are the ones with stripes and horns but Crystina is a growing Light Woolly and her father is a Titan Woolly, hence why they're present (and why the horns are so small and spots are present on the wings). I decided to make a version without the stripes, spots, and horns for those who didn't want them.
