Hello peeps! :D

i've introduced you to alot of ocs recently, but none like this one!

Without further ado, i would like to introduce my main oc, Pearl Garmadon! :D (Yay! XD)

Pearl loves all sorts of dragons for different reasons ^^ but her own are her favorite (particularly Snowdust)

Apperance:

Jet black hair, usually held up in a neat french braid tied with a red ribbon, pale skin, sparkling heather green eyes, rosy cheeks and a slender feminine build. She wears a heather green shirt, brown pants, brown furry boots, & a golden locket around her neck given to her by her father. She lives & breathes dragon riding, so when riding Snowdust (Which is all the time) she wears a rumblehorn flight suit. She carries a pouch on her belt that holds her sketchbook, & her wild dragons field guide, so thats she’s always prepared.

Personality:

Pearl is kind, loyal, smart, silly, responsible, hot-headed, stubborn, respectful, compassionate, free-spirited, sometimes rude, blunt, sarcastic, humble, couragous, & VERY black & white. Pearl is an inteligent, free-spirited girl that lives on the far side of Berk with her parents. Most of the time, she comes off as reserved & respectful to others: At least to adults & others she doesn't know. But when you get to know her, you can see the true aspects to her personality. She’s a very black & white person: if something is wrong, its wrong to her, no matter what the situation (like killing in a war. Even though its for protecting others she still sees it as wrong) If she does see something as wrong, she doesn't mind bending the rules, or even breaking them if it means she’s doing whats right. Other then that she’s a rule-follower through & through.

Pearl is also known for her fighting skills. She didn’t used to be good, but after years on her own Pearl learned how to defend herself. She taught herself how to use a sword, axe, bow & arrow, mace, daggers, & just about anything else she could get her hands on. however, her best weapon combination is a sword & shield. Talent wise, Pearl was never really good at a lot of regular viking girl things, and was picked on when she was little, so she’s learned how to withstand criticism well. It comes in very handy when she is sometimes interrogated by dragon hunters. In her years on her own, Pearl also learned how to argue well. She likes to make whoever she’s arguing with think they've won, before pulling the mat out from under them. This also interwinds with her riding skills, making whoever she’s racing think they’ve won before unleashing a sudden burst of speed & passing them.

Pearl might sound a little rough around the edges, or even a little bad, but she’s not really. She might be a little rude & short at times, but she has a much softer, caring side that comes out often. She cares very deeply about her friends actually. She might mess with them, call them names, and well, get them into trouble, but she still loves them. She’s kind to them often, and she’s always loyal to a fault. She trusts her friends more then anything, which in turn makes them trust her more. But remember: if you betray her trust, she’ll hunt you down to the ends of the earth.

Strengths:

kind, loyal, trusting, can train nearly any kind of dragon, extremely agile, resourceful, would do anything for her friends

Flaws/Weaknesses:

can be too trusting, cannot swim, would do anything for her friends, is mildly afraid of fire, is NOT a morning person, has a bit of trouble working as a team with her friends

The ocean, her friends getting hurt because of her

Abilities:

Excellent dragon flyer, great swordswoman, ok archer, can train nearly any dragon, booksmart, resourceful, smart

Weapons:

Her ancient sword, daggers, & her vibranium shield.

Pearl has created a number of useful gadgets through the years, but what she’s most proud of is her titanium shield. She made it after she got Snowdust, & is rarely seen without it. Its lightweight & powerful, two things that a viking looks for in a good shield. Later, thinking it needed something, Pearl painted her symbol, a water phoenix with gold paint in the center. It comes in very well during practice, while shielding herself from dragon attacks, & just about anything else she can block with it.

Her sword, however, was not made by her, but for an ancient warrior from the Garmadon clan long ago. It was handed down from generation to generation in her clan, & after she was old enough, her father gave it to her, along with two silver daggers to match. Its blade is made of lightweight titanium & is curved unlike any other, with a golden handle & a beautiful shining gem in the center. The handle is wrapped with the softest of leather, & is very prized to her. Pearl would be at a loss without her family’s sword.

Backstory:

Pearl has had a rather tragic backstory ((which explains why she’s so clingy to her friends & family)). When she was only two, she was stolen from her parents. No one knows how, but she wound up on Bererker island in the dead of night. A couple on the island found her near their doorstep. They named her Pearl because she was a “precious jewel from the sea”, & took her in, raising Pearl as their own. everything went great from then on, until four years later. On her six birthday, her house was attacked in a dragon raid. The dragons lit her house on fire, with her & her foster parents inside. Before her foster parents died, they told her about how they had found her, & that they weren’t her parents. The grave news impacted her greatly. A few minutes later the house collapsed, falling down on all of them.

By some miracle, Pearl was still alive when the other villagers finally found her. A widow took her in for nearly five months, nursing her back to health. When Pearl was finally healed, the widow sent her away in a small fishing boat with just enough supplies to get her to the next island on a quest to find her real family. She spent seven long years searching for her family, going from tribe to tribe in hopes of finding them, but each time she turned up empty-handed. She was about to give up, when fate changed her course. She was thirteen years old when a terrible storm overtook her. She was sailing her boat, when the storm came out of nowhere & ship-wreaked her on Berk.

When she woke up she was surrounded by Hiccup & the other riders. Later after getting her someplace warm, she told them her story, & Hiccup promised to help her find her family. They searched for about a year, until they finally found out her parents had been living on Berk the whole time! They had used to live far, far away, until Pearl was stolen from them. They searched for eight long years, until they finally gave up & moved to Berk. Pearl has lived with them on Berk ever sense. Since then she trained her beautiful Snow Wraith, Snowdust, became a dragon rider, & met her best friend Carl. And Pearl couldn't be happier at where she is now.
