I thought this might be helpful if no one knows this

You probably do but

I find one of the best ways to level up a dragon is to get yourself a BUNCH of fish before hand (Salmon are my chosen fish)

Then go to the wilderness and chop wood over and over and over again.

I find it is a lot faster than lighting fires. Chop wood off your dragon, and wait for it to pick up the wood and hand it to you and it will gain EXP or whatever it's called. Just do it over and over and over again. I mean I have an excess of wood but who cares.

I light the fires because I don't want to deal with the fish

Have your dragon stand next to the fire pit and then have your back facing the pit, click it and either move or adjust your camera so the fire pit is lined up with the fire button

Use that to now click rapid fire without waiting for your dragon's fire to refill

Okay so it's not exactly rapid fire but it's a lot faster than sitting on your dragon and pressing F

plus you get 5 coins every once in a while so it's like you're getting paid!

While it contridicts my earlier statement, you do not need fish exactly as I have found.

I let my dragon's energy bar get to zero and kept chopping trees to see what would happen. The dragon stopped picking up the wood BUT when I ran over them with my viking and picked it up, the dragon still got EXP. So, technically I guess, you don't even need fish.

Lighting the fire pits is a good way but the flame has to be out before you get credit for lighting it again. Position your dragon so you can shoot two or even three pits in a roaw and go back and do the sequence again. You get points for every 5 and after every 10 sets of points, your dragon levels up. Click on the fire pits and use the pop up flame icon to light them. If you use your dragons target, sometimes it will change and target another player as you press fire. Clicking on the pit will always light that pit if you use the flame icon that pops up when you do.

It gives me credit regardless

It gives me credit regardless if the fire is out or not. it does not give me money until the fire is out but the xp bar does go up every time you hit a fire pit
