Gem purchases continue to get error message from Emergent

I'm in the US and have successfully purchased gems many times, but I've also had problems many times in purchasing gems. I keep getting error messages when trying to purchase gems for almost two weeks. I have sent several emails to Emergent and they keep asking me for more inforamtion which I provide and then they never respond again. I can't even change my payment method. No response from SoD or JumpStart either.
