Gag items. (Suggestions)
There's the mighty stick.
There's gobber's boot of doom.
There's a snow gronkle skin.
I love silly non-serious items like this.
Here's a thread to suggest all the ones you can think of.
I still go by my suggestion of Chicken with the capital C as gag "dragon" XD
I think reference like arrow potato doesn't require copy right and permission, if it's something more concrete like book dragon though they might need it but they have done that before with Prickleboggle and windwalker and such
I want deathsong earmuff for lore relate stuff! it doesn't sound like a gag item though as in universe it pretty treat seriously, but I do want it.
Hmm i can't think of the suggestion of my own atm, well I have some but it's not so much as gag but the whole living shoulder Terrible terror and baby razorwhip as clothing gear (shoulder pat and flightsuit respectively) is an interesting concept. you can't name them or changing color, they are cloth but they do move while you are "wearing" them
Oh i didnt know that there is already a colorable flightsuit. That's a neat feature
Tracking, will likely come back later with ideas of my own!
Edit:
How about if the Dragon Fly One was an ingame item, but, as a joke about how it never actually worked as a gliding suit, it was a shield. That way, if someone has it equipped while outside of DT, it would appear as if they were wearing it in the same manner Hiccup did.
Edit 2:
Snotlout's 'Mace Axe Sword' as a joke Legendary weapon. The question is, would it be a mace, an axe, or a sword?
I love that idea about the Dragonfly I! Absolutely genius! X,D
I NEED A MACE-AXE-SWORD!!!!(it would probably be impossible to lift though.)
I'm loving the suggestions so far, but all I really want in the world is a frying-pan.
That is excellent and also kind of horrifying. My immediate thought would be: Whose bone am I clubbing people with?
Both of these items need "Cure" as one of their abilities.
These are all great suggestions and should definitely be added to the game! XDD
This technically isn't an item, but I think it'd be cool if they could add "Itchy Armpit" as a small island of some sort lol
Maybe a dragon sanctuary of some sort? Stables? Viking hangout? Farm extension? Race track?
The list could go on and on.....
They already have valka's sancturay added in the game for summarhildr.
I may or may not of forgotten about that..... heh... lol
I think it would make a good racetrack. Maybe one where you have to race round the outside of the island, flying through stands of trees rather than walls? Last time I raced, most of the tracks were pretty dark and enclosed and claustrophobic, it would be nice to have one that was a bit more bright and open.
Yes. Very much YES. Lol
Idea 1: A joke legendary "Chicken" Mace... in truth, a stick with Chicken perched on it. When the viking uses it, the Chicken perches on their helmet instead. Chicken aside, it could act like a legendary version of the Mighty Stick.
Idea 2: A joke legendary Pie/Pie Tin Axe. The idea is that the dragon hunters/warlord goons get pied in the face... repeatedly. This one would have "Axe Throw" as its main attack, and "Chop" as its more powerful attack.
Idea 3: Viking Costumes for Dragons. Hypergoof already suggested broomtop wigs and wooden masks awkwardly hanging off our dragons snouts, so why not go all the way towards making viking costumes for various dragons? There could even be specific costumes for specific dragons, example: An awkwardly made Hiccup costume for Toothless.
I love your idea of War Machines as trainable "dragons." I feel like there could be some more variety among them, though...
Some War Machines based on other dragons could be introduced, each with their own funny animation/set of animations. Here's an example: a Nadder war Machine that's balanced awkwardly on two spindly mechanical legs and that looks like it's about to fall over when it's running- especially with the rider sitting between the legs and the head of the machine.
1. Yes.
2. What if it was a crossbow-based weapon? Pie Launcher? It should have stunning/stalling capabilities (your enemy is too busy wiping pie filling out of his eyes to attack).
3. The Hiccup costume for Toothless defnitely needs the awkwardly balanced mop wig. And maybe a tinfoil hind leg.
I keep coming up with ideas for specific War Machine "Dragons"... and funny animations that they could be paired with...
A Zippleback War Machine that has an idle animation where the two necks overextend and get tangled up with each other.
A Monstrous Nightmare war machine that has afiring animation that makes it look like it has a random recoil when gameplaywise it's hovering.
A Night/Light Fury War machine that has a flying animation during which it drops random parts... even though it's just fine in terms of gameplay.
A Deathgripper War Machine that has a DT animation (when it gets hurt) where it gets trips over itself and falls on its side... or faceplants.
I'll post more gag-dragon ideas as I come up with them.
This one is based off a hilarious bug associated with the Legendary Hammer of Eret. The bug causes the hammer to be treated as if it were an axe, so why not have a weapon that's intentionally based off that bug? Modelwise it would look like one type of DT weapon (example: a sword), but it has the moveset of another (example: a mace.) If they wanted to, the developers could pull off a full set of these gag DT weapons. Here's what I'd envision them as looking like/having the moveset of:
1. A sword that acts like a mace
2. A mace that actually acts like an axe(instead of just being a bug.)
3. An axe that acts like a crossbow
4. A crossbow that acts like a sword
I also have a few new ideas for gag dragons:
1.A Fireworm/Thunderpede war machine with way too many legs. They spin when it walks and constantly hit each other. It also funnily suddenly stops, starts, and jerks backwards even though it actually walks normally from a gameplay perspective. This could be done to a lesser extent with a Silkspanner war machine.
2.I think a Hotburple/Eruptodon War machine could also work with the "Farts Fireworks to fly" animation.
3. A Singetail war machine which looks like it can't turn without falling/flipping over, especially when it's running. It could even have an animation where it tries to turn around and actually flips over. Add wings with few/no joints, and it could become especially funny to watch...
The "Grrr Troll Face Mask"! lol
(not a suggestion, just an honorable mention of one that exists)
New gag ideas incoming!
1. A Seastormer war machine... whos false heads flail around and accidentally snap at each other while running. They also have a tendency to try to pull the war machine in two different directions at once, hilariously crashing into each other.
2. Wooly Howl and Sand Wraith war machines... whos wing joints keep siezing up and causing their wings to randomly flail all over the place as an idle animation. This idea could also work as a funny idle animation for the Night and Light Fury war machines.
3. A Speed Stinger war machine... whos tail hilariously overextends, flails about, and gets tangled up in a similar manner to the Zippleback war machines false heads. This could also work with a Skrillknapper War machine, and a Humbanger war machine could make the general animation even funnier... by lacking hind legs and basically sitting on its tail (when its not randomly flailing all over the place.
4. A Chimeragon war machine... that has similar balance problems to the Deadly Nadder and Monstrous Nightmare war machines, but with the opposite problem: it constantly leans forwards instead of backwards... due to an overly large and heavy false head.
5. Badly made ghost costumes for dragons.. think a wooden skull mask on the snout and a large white cloth with eye holes cut from it... that doesn't really obscure the dragons feet, tail, or wings.
6. A Stormcutter war machine with the exact same problems as the Night Fury, Light Fury, Wooly Howl, and Sand Wraith war machines... X2. It also has a problem with its wings getting tangled up in each other.
7. A Bonestormer war machine that has the above problems with the addition of a badly screwed on false head... one which keeps randomly swiveling upside down and having its upper jaw fall open.
The botinist's sharpened mango as a weapon.
A potato with an arrow in it as a book reference. (Might require permission but after adult nightlights and the a few franchise changed versions of book dragons being in game it doesn't seem impossible)
Gronkle war machines....as rare trainable dragons.
Something that pops up in store occationally but maybe isn't there all year around. It can have crazy firework looking things as its flight mechanism.
I think it would be funny. Particularly if in flight via their animations they never quite look like there's full control even though gameplaywise you fly fine.
A saddle that gives the whispering d.eath sunglasses.
D.eathsong amber earmuffs....as head gear.
