Found a shortcut in the maze!!
As I was doing the Not So Stale quest, I found a shortcut in the parkour section of the maze! And since I had to go through the maze again for the last key, I decided to make a video showing where the shortcut is!
It's not a major shortcut but does make this section a little quicker to get through.
I just found this shortcut in the gear section! It's really useful!
And there's another one not far after, with the snow dragons. In the -I think it's a Whispering D.eath snow dragon- the devs added a portal with "Tuff's secret tunnel"/"Keep out".
This portal is blue, and brings you directly to the very end of the maze, right with the reward chest!
Here's how the other shortcut looks like:
It's just after the gear level with the first shortcut showed in this topic (the pink/light purple one you arrive to when climbing the climbing walls as high as possible, there's had been a portal added that directly brings you to the Night Lights at the end of the section).
This "Tuffnut secret tunnel" shortcut is even better: it brings you at once at the very end of the maze to the reward chest!

I finished the maze through this shortcut, yes, and more than once.
I noticed there was a small update of the game though, not one that needs you to nearly reinstall the game, just one that takes longer than usual to load. Maybe you hadn't receive it yet?
One word. Beautiful. But I'm still not going back to the maze.
There's another shortcut in the statue moving maze. It's completely useless because it only warps you to the buttons the statues go on. Also your Vikings speed has increased when moving the statues.
Thankfully you don’t need to do that whole section if you take the Whispering Death Snow Shortcut!
I actually found several others!
-First shortcut is The snowball one. After running past the first snowball, wait for the second one. When it passes, RUN RIGHT to the next opening. When the last snowball rolls, run to the right again and you will see the pink-thingy portal.
-next is the parkour one! You all saw that one.
-Rock wall shortcut; when you enter the wall maze thing, go to your LEFT and you will see that one.
-Actual Maze short cut; this one is not the best so might as well skip it.
-Tuffnuts Secret passage... In the snowdragon room theres the portal to the prize.

Thank you! This will help with possibly the most infuriating thing in this event... apart from the bugs!
You can skip about 80% of the whole parcour section and then take the shortcut at the snow statues. Just follow the link and look the way I took to get around. It is really simple! I know I am a bit late but hope it helps!

One shortcut is the Groncicle snow statue one where you continue running left fro the giant snowballs until a purple portal appears.
The next is in the cogs part, you keep on climbing up in the climbing part and then there is a sign which says keep out and there is a small platform, step on it and you finish the whole cogs part.
Then there is the big one which just finishes the rest of the maze for you but you need to complete Not So Stale to get it.
After in the climbing maze part, keep on turning left when you can and then you will reach another sign saying keep out, then there is a portal after a few steps in front of it, it maagics you to the end part of the maze, you just need to climb a little bit more to finish it.
And then the final one when you have to push the groncicle statues there is one where if you are lost you go in it and it portals you to the three button things on the ground, i cant remeber how to get there.
Thats all i got.

Which chest are you trying to find?
Each chest (except for the final 10th one) is behind a door in one of the round rooms with the Snow Viking in the center.
So for the first chest, it's in the one before the "Everyone likes sweets" puzzle
After you get the key go through the maze and at each round room just check all the doors to see if a door is open and has the locked chest.
