fishing
it seems no matter how much i keep the marker in the green i cant catch a fish is this a bug? i mean litterally from the beginning of the day today till now i have been keeping it in the green and the line keeps breaking
If you are keeping the line too green, the fish will get away. You have to try and keep a balance, not push the marker to either side.
Highlight for a very useful glitch> sneak into someone's ocean farm, go air swimming, then go and fish. So easy, only takes about four seconds and it's done<

Save up for a better rod, it's way to difficult to catch fish with a non gem bought one, you're just at the mercy of the fish and hope you're lucky enough that the fish doesn't decide to go straight into the red even though u did nothing

On the right side of the screen, underneath where it shows how many coins you have, there's an orange button with a shopping cart on it. That's the store. I'm unsure of where the fishing rods are located in the store because I've had all the fishing rods you can buy for quite some time so I don't remember where they were but if you just look at all the different things in the store you'll eventually find them.
Edit: Just remembered that someone else posted about having an issue like this a couple of weeks ago. They were doing the tutorial for a new viking and trying to catch perch and they said you can't buy a new rod during the tutorial. They were playing on mobile and decided to switch to pc to see if they could finish the tutorial that way and it worked. Are you doing the tutorial on a new viking? If you are, are you playing on mobile? If you're playing on mobile I suggest switching to a pc if you have one to see if you can finish the tutorial on pc.
Good luck! :) If you can't ever catch it you might want to pm Brynjolf about it because it could be a glitch that needs to be fixed. I've recently heard several people say that they're having trouble with the fishing part of the tutorial for a new viking so that part of the tutorial could be glitched.

nope that didnt work either didnt do what flitt suggested due the fact that could be called cheating besides it doesnt help since this is the first time fishing in game with this character
