+* Fandoms! *+
Let's talk about FANDOMS!
If you don't know what a FANDOM is,
It's basically a Fan Kingdom for a certain movie/band/TV show/game/whatever.
You guys should obviously know what a FANDOM is, because if you don't, you're gonna have a bad time understanding this stuff.
♦ Let's Begin! ♦
I'm gonna start off by asking a few questions.
What is your MAIN Fandom?
(MY main Fandom is Steven Universe.)
Why do you like your Fandom?
(SPACE ROCKS/GEMS/ALIENS!)
Do you have any OCs?
(Mmhm! And a DeviantArt, but I'm too scared to link it...)
Elaborate about your Fandom, Please?
(A half human-half gem boy makes many adventures to unravel his past and
to save his home, the Earth. With his fellow gem friends, Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst, and his
own Rose Quartz gem from his mother, the gang rush to save the world and other cheesy stuff
that I don't want to explain.)
I'm asking these questions so we can start, this topic is basically a Fandom Hangout.
We can start roleplaying and discussing stuff about our fandoms with our fellow fan friends after we find out more about eachother.
I'm sure all of you guys are OBVIOUSLY in the HTTYD fandom, too, but I'm focusing on other fandoms, still, you can still discuss HTTYD.
I REPEAT!
The main purpose of this is a hangout for people in more fandoms than HTTYD.
We can Roleplay and stuff but just don't go overboard since this is a half hangout, make a new topic or something lol.
Ah jeez, I feel like I'm disturbing HTTYD by inviting new fandoms.
I just want to see what the players are also familiar with other than HTTYD.
Uhm, well, let's start hanging out!
FANDOMS
“A Fandom is about a Fandom,
It’s a BIG SOCIAL CLUB.”
What is your MAIN Fandom?
Steam Powered Giraffe
Why do you like your Fandom?
Space adventures, lore, robots, humor!
Do you have any OCs?
I have one! Her name is Ticci and she's a tinkering robot! You can click HERE to find out more about her
Also, I do have a deviantArt in which you may find more art of her and other OCs
Elaborate on your fandom
Steam Powered Giraffe is an actual band of musical singing automatons. Members David and Bunny Bennett alongside Bryan Barbarin paint themselves to appear as robots and perform various songs alongside skits in their live shows. They have a youtube channel which you can check out HERE where you can find music videos, songs from their albums like Vice Quadrant and MK III, and if you're really interested they have a Youtube concert on the 17th of this month! It's totally free, too!
As for lore, Colonel Peter A Walter I created three robots along with a gigantic steam powered giraffe to fight his nemesis, Norman Becile and his clockwork elephants. After defeating the elephants, the bots for a short time became involved in the war, but soon drew out and became known as the Steam Man Band. They made a vow of peace and would not be fighting again, instead they began performing and entertaining audiences of all ages.
The three main bots consist of The Spine (portrayed by David Michael Bennett), Rabbit (portrayed by Isabella Bunny Bennett), and Zero (portrayed by Bryan Barbarin)
What is my MAIN fandom?
I honestly could not give you an answer, because I'm apart of so many. I guess right now I'm more focused in the Bayonetta Fandom.
Why do I like my fandom?
The reason I like the Bayonetta fandom is only because of it's main character. Bayonetta is a female heroine who embraces her femminity, while still kicking a lot of angel butt. It also is a mix of a lot of different Mythologies and Religions, and is just so interesting to read about the things that inspired the creator to make this game. It's also just really pretty to look at.
Do I have any OCs?
Yes, actually! Her name is Cere and she's the daughter of the main character(there are so many Mary Sues in the fandom so I took it upon myself to take that trope and fix it)
(made by the lovely Ally Kay)
Elaborate on my Fandom
Two Clans, Umbra Witches, and the Lumen Sages are at peace with each other, under the rule they are to not make babies together. Of course, an Umbra Witch and a Lumen Sage break this rule, and they spawn in Bayonetta. Bayonetta starts a war between the Lumen Sages and the Umbra Witches, which in turn creates a war between the Demons and Angels. Why? Because Bayonetta is the ruler of the Left Eye of Darkness, and the Luman Sages are the rulers of the Right Eye of Light. The Angels want to bring back their creator, an angel that can change the world. Bayonetta is locked away in a casket under a lake for 500 years, all her memories taken away. Now, she's been awoken, and is trying to find them out. There's a lot more to explain but I'd end up ruining the game for you if I did.
My main Fandom is most definitely Wings of Fire. For sure.
I love my fandom, mostly because its an amazing book series that has more than two books. And it has all of my favorite things in it. Dragons, magic, adventure, and a little but of romance. And the story has a wide variety of characters for everyone.
I have way too many ocs for this. But my favorite one is Quetzal. A fun loving Rainwing, a dragon that lives in the rainforest and eats lots of bananas, who has a lot of friends. But he's really loveable and is a really big talker.
The first 5 books is about the Sandwings, a tribe of yellow dragons that have barbed tails with vemon, trying to decided what their next queen would be. It was between Blister, Blaze, and Burn. But none of the Queens had the right talents. Blister was too smart for her own good and she had nasty thoughts. Blaze was power hungry and almost enjoyed war. And Blaze was too full of herself and did too many parties. So the land of Pyrrhia went into war. But there's a prophecy about a group of young dragonets, all born on the brightest night, who would save the land.
Well...the main fandom I'm active in is HTTYD. I never really left the Harry Potter fandom and I recently sank into the Miraculous fandom, but I don't really have any OCs in that; I mostly just focus on the actual work there. Eh, otherwise I don't really get into the fandoms of things I'm a fan of due to a few bad experiences. Not to mention the fandoms for a lot of stuff I'm really into is...non-existent. I tried to be active in the Trollhunters fandom, but...not much going on there. And is there even an active Designated Survivor fandom? That might be appealing to one generation too high for Internet fandoms.
But eh, I'll track, see what other people are into.
What is your MAIN Fandom?
Doctor Who
Why do you like your Fandom?
50 years of b-rated sci-fi. Also it's a time travel based show, so each of those 5 decades presents it's own view on the present(of that time), future, and past. Pretty cool slice of storytelling history!
Do you have any OCs?
Shhhhh no we don't talk about the robot dog
Elaborate about your Fandom, Please?
A grumpy space young'un with the appearance of an old man kidnaps his own granddaughter, steals a space-time ship, abducts some humans, and promptly gets lost. 50 years in our world (2000 in his) of sometimes not horrible storytelling and rubber aliens ensue. Sometimes he gets a new body. Sometimes he travels with people who are lovable.
Okay, this looks fun!
What is your MAIN Fandom?
HTTYD is my most active fandom, so I'm gonna talk about one that I love, but is dead. The Mysterious Benedict Society!
Why do you like your Fandom?
Smart kids who save the world, my favoritest trope. Also puzzles and wordplay.
Do you have any OCs?
Nopety-nope. I don't even know what I'd do with an OC here. XD
Elaborate about your Fandom, please?
Okay, so there's this textbook-definition-of-average 11-year-old orphan kid who responds to a newspaper ad asking, "Are you a gifted child looking for special opportunities?" Following the ad, he manages to pass some rather strange tests, along with a super-spunky 12-year girl, a bald boy his own age with a photographic memory, and a ridiculously small and cranky girl (basically they're Hiccup, Camicazi, Fishlegs, and Toothless from the HTTYD books. XD).
They are recruited by an eccentric old man to find the Sender and stop the Messages which said Sender is apparently using to change people's perspectives for his own selfish reasons. So they infiltrate this boarding school on an island, and anything from there on out is spoilers.
Reasons it's awesome:
1. Female characters done RIGHT. Kate and Rhonda are my personal favorites.
2. It's got subtle dry humor, and never fails to make me laugh no matter how many times I read it.
3. Little puzzles that are extremely fun to solve.
4. Group dynamics. The main four are diverse, and their interactions are pure gold.
There are so many more, but I'm off to bed now. XD
Omg, I LOVE Mysterious Benedict Society. I read all of the main books, and am working on the special one about Mr. Benedict. (Can't remember the title for some reason...?)
It's such an AMAZING series~!
YAAAAAAAY! The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict? I swear the author purposely gave them all super long titles to drive everyone crazy. XD Who's your favorite character?
My favorite character is either Kate or Sticky. It's SUCH a close tie! Kate is just super amazing in EVERYTHING, and Sticky, well I find him super adorable at times.
They all have such a great variety of strengths and weaknesses. The author did a wonderful job~!
Right!? Usually I don't have trouble picking a favorite character or two, but with this...
Reynie's my favorite. No, if he's my favorite, then Sticky's not! I love Sticky! And what about Kate? No way we're forgetting Rhonda! OH GOODNESS, MILLIGAN! And Mr. Benedict himself, of course. Miss Perumal. No, no, it's Sophie the library lady. Number Two? Constance? Moocho? HEAVEN FORGIVE ME, I ALMOST FORGOT S.Q. THAT POOR LIL' GUY. XD
((I KNEW IT. I KNEW YOU LIKED THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY!!!! I DO TOO!!!! I HAVE ALL THE BOOKS AND I LOVED THEM!))
Ohhhhhhhh my goodness.... Just one? Juuuuussttt ooonnneeee???
Oi.... Ummm.... *thinks for a tediously long while*
What is your MAIN fandom?
Kingdom Hearts/The World Ends With You (It's such a close tie....)
Why do you like your fandom?
Kingdom Hearts is just such an epic fandom. The story is amazing (if you can take the time to truly get familiar with the confusing plot/timeline) and the characters are even better. The inclusion of many classic Disney worlds/characters that literally EVERYONE is familiar with helps give the game a sense of familiarity and homeliness even to the newest players. Even the most recognizable of cartoon characters, Mickey Mouse, makes plentiful appearances throughout the series.
But.... THE MUSIC. If absolutely nothing else, I highly suggest you take some time to listen to some of the soundtracks from the games. I promise you won't be disappointed. (Personal favorites of mine include Traverse Town KH 1.5 Remix, Vector to the Heavens KH 1.5 Remix, Dearly Beloved (Back Cover) and Roxas' Theme, 2.5 Remix)
As for T.W.E.W.Y, fun fact-- I got into T.W.E.W.Y because the main cast from the game-- Joshua, Neku, Shiki, Beat and Rhyme-- all made appearances in Traverse Town in KH 3D. After seeing them, I thought they were such interesting characters that it compelled me to dig deeper.
T.W.E.W.Y is probably one of my all-time favorites because of the huge amount of inspiration/symbolism put into the game. The story is original and fascinating, the characters are unique, and it's just an all-around awesome game. The game is simple enough to easily grasp with minimal effort, yet for those willing to dig deeper into the lore and characters, there's a treasure trove of surprises and extras as a reward.
Do you have any OC's?
I have one main OC that is pretty much my 'use-for-anything-and-everything' OC, my many different fandoms included. I have minor OC's for the individual fandoms. (I do not have a DA.)
Elaborate about your fandom, please.
I think I already did that above.... Oops.
Kingdom Hearts is about a boy named Sora, and his two friends Riku and Kairi. When Sora meets a mysterious stranger, and his home is swept into the darkness, along with his two best friends, he must use the Keyblade, a mythical weapon of the light, to save the other worlds and find his two friends. As the games go on, Sora meets new friends, new enemies, and goes on all sorts of wacky adventures through the Disney worlds.
The World Ends With You is a game set in a city called Shibuya. A young boy, Neku, who has outcasted himself from society and loathes anything and everything to do with other people, is swept up into the Reaper's Game after his sudden and mysterious de.ath. Neku has to team up with his Partner to survive the week of the Game, or face eternal erasure. I won't spoil any more.
Whew.... Well, there ya go! X3
*gasps* *hugs you*
DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD MBS FANS ARE TO COME BY? =D
*hugs you back*
M.B.S was like, the ONLY thing I read besides schoolbooks back when I first discovered it. But now it's that and the Foxcraft series...
My favorite character from that series.....
Reynie.
And the falcon. Madge.
The falcon needs love.
I also REALLY LOVED SQ and Mr. Curtain, because of their such distinct personalities and Mr. Curtain was a fantastic villian.
Oh goodness, yes! Her Majesty The Queen. XD Kate seems to have a thing for really long names with monosyllabic nicknames.
I agree, Mr. Curtain is a fantastic villain! The series just has great villains in general. They're not stupid, like when Martina and Jillson figure out the code in the first one. And the Ten Men are just creepy because they're so happy. Don't even get me started on S. Q. I'm so sorry for him it hurts. XD
She sure does!!! She's an awesome character.
I love villians like that-- villians who really twist your mind with just how complex their schemes are, and heroes who are super clever and attentive like Reynie who can figure out just about anything. I totally agree, this series' villians are the best.
I have hugged the books more than once trying and failing to comfort SQ.
What is your MAIN Fandom?
Why do you like your Fandom?
- The music is dang good. There are many different genres as well, so that everyone is satisfied. If you're more into electronic music like me, you have Guilty Eyes Fever, Daydream Warrior, Lonely Tuning, or if you're more into heavy metal n stuff, you have After School Navigators, Strawberry Trapper and Kowareyasuki. There's every genre in between these two extremes, they pretty much cover everything that exists.
- the characters are inspiring and all relatable in their own way. The character development they go through can echo back with your personnal story at some point, for sure.
- The bonds the nine main girls have with each other is wholesome and pure. What's not to love ?
- Most fan also support and watch the voice actresses very closely, they're as loveable as the characters they voice !
- There is very few drama in the fanbase, and the other fans are very tolerant and supportive of each other.
- The mobile game (free to play) is amazing.
Do you have any OCs?
Nah bro I don't have inserted OCs in existing series that's not my thing
Elaborate about your Fandom, Please?
Love live is the story of nine high school girls who form an idol group to prevent their school from shutting down due to too few registrations.
The main character, Honoka Kousaka, asks around people to join the group. Her two closest friends, Kotori Minami and Umi Sonoda, join at the end of the first episode, but the student council president, Eli Ayase, is strictly opposed to the idea. But eh, she'll join them in the 8th episode anyway.
They call themselves µ's. (Pronounced "Muse", which refers to the nine muses of arts from greek mythology... as they are nine members just like them.)
The first season focuses on how their group formed up. The second season follows their steps as they join a competition, and the problem of the third year's graduation starts to bother them.
Third season has a different cast, and is set after all the members of µ's graduated. Another idol group of nine members, Aqours, who decide to follow their steps and become idols just as wonderful as µ's used to be before disbanding. They're just as loveable as the first group, I support and love them lots !!!
and now if you excuse me i'd like to talk about my favorite character
NOZOMI TOJO
She is 17 years old, and a third year (in other words she's a senior year). She works part time at a shinto shrine, and is into spiritual beliefs of all sorts. She's serene, calm, and has a soothing presence as soon as she appears on screen. She's wise and patient, and reads Tarot cards. She is the one who came up with the name for the group, µ's.
She means so much to me... I've never liked a character this much in all my life. She is the only one who can make me smile on tough days. She's just... so positive. She's far from being the most popular character but she will always be the #1 in my warm warm heart.
>And she's got a cute singing voice too !!!!!
you better bet I'm gonna name one of my dragons after her. A death song to be more specific.
My fandom is miraculous:tales of ladybug and cat noir. I know it sorta young but I like it mainly for the story. Also I pretty much got the villian figured out. You all who know the show know exactly who I'm talking about! ;D
my oc is of course ladybug! Why? Well why not? She pretty, smart, friendly, thoughtful, heroic, inventive, and can make a MEAN hat! Although I do find my self yelling at her after she studders once again in front of Adrian or takes a low blow from Chloe. Also has anyone else caught that the Peacock miraculous was with the secret picture of Adrains Mom?or that Adrian's dad , who wasn't acumasized, slyly went for ladybug earrings when they were alone? There isn't really a fan page For miraculous, not that I could find. But there is a YouTube channel, miraculous ladybug, that has clips and extras that could replace a fan page. I am so psyched to find out what happens in season two! I found out that there's actually several more miraculous then what was viewed in season one! Will ladybug/Marinette and cat noir/Adrian finally find out each other's identity? I believe season two is arriving at Netflix in the next few months. So excited to find out what comes next! Bug out!!!
Oh jeez, my topic was messed up with the text color and size and other stuff.
Welp let's just ignore the errors and move on.
