In a world where humanity has become it's own apocalypse, war has become a business, rebellion a pastime. Syndicates have arisen from the ashes of modernity, five of which control what resources remain: Dominance, Hades, Ruin, the Underworld, and most notably, the Archetype.

The genetic powers that humans once possesed have faded away to uncontrollable vodiems. There are low levels of psuedo-control that people have researched and developed. However, strange things have been happening. Immunity is a rarity among Vodiaks (people with vodiems), but for more than 3 people to have it all in close proximity of each other is unheard of. No one is aware of this new development except for the Archangel, who has answers he won't share yet.

Each of these people are incorporated within the Archetype, or will be soon.

The end is coming, and it's coming soon. If there's any chance of surviving what is to come, those immune to vodiems must conspire with the Archangel to help save what's left of humanity as they know it.

Vampere ~ Espionage

Vampere sat quietly atop the peak of the roof, the wind howling past her still silhouette. The sun was just setting west of Vya, the city of crime lords. Spires and sk.yscrapers cast elongated shadows across the barren Norumbran Plains that spread east of the mountain-city. The background bustle of city life below her was comforting, a constant reminder of what life remained on the pockmarked surface of Lor, the once thriving planet of commerce and diversity.

Her mind remained open to people’s thoughts below her, specifically the ones that thought about the Cardinal Quintods and the other deities who’d left the physical dimension.

I hate our gods. When they walked among us, all was well. Hel.l has risen since their departure, a woman thought bitterly as she begged for food on the street corner. Vampere held just a little resentment towards the gods who had left them, letting humanity rot itself scarce to the point of being their own apocalypse. She didn’t mind all that much their gods leaving because in the wake of the Quintod’s departure, new regimes had risen and fallen, something that had long needed to happen. Unfortunately, this proved to the Quintod, who reigned supreme in the Void, that humanity could no longer be trusted with the genetic powers they had wielded in history chapters long past.

They lied to us. They knew what was coming and they lied to us. Who will protect us from the Desecration now? This coming from a young man covered head to toe in dirt, pickpocketing for survival. Vampere was pretty sure everyone had lied, to themselves and to others. The Quintod weren’t the only ones to blame for why the world was suffering through this self-inflicted apocalypse. Men had wrestled power that was used to wreak havoc and sate desire.

“Vampere! Icarus needs you!”

The voice belonged to her not-so-secret bodyguard, Xeius. Vampere glanced down to where all 6 feet and 8 inches of him leaned out of the hatch door, wind buffeting his iconic icy white hair, styled after Musefangr’s loyal mortal companion, Xyxeus.

Needy idiot, she heard Xeuis grumble in his thoughts. Always wanting something from others. It’s a wonder he’s been the Archangel’s second-in-command for so long.

His storm gray eyes met her electric neon ones, and Vampere exhaled a sigh, shoulders slumping as she slid down to the roof’s walkway. She slowed down enough that she didn’t slide right over the edge, and crouched low to avoid being hurled around by the wind too much. Following her cutthroat bodyguard through the hatch and into the secret room below, she asked, “What does Icarus need now?”

Xeius shrugged. “He didn't specify. He said it was urgent though.”

Vampere entered the rundown elevator with Xeius close behind. There was silence as they descended into the darkness of their underground headquarters. Once they reached the main level, Vampere continued down the sloped corridors of the Archetype's underground complex, Xeius falling into step behind her. Braziers flickered in the ghost of a breeze as the pair passed through the silent halls.

Vampere closed the door behind her, holding a holo-cube that bore Icarus’ digital handwriting on it. Xeius met her disgruntled gaze. She turned away from him, scanning the contents of her holograph message. Six names blinked into focus, the glitching neon light casting an eerie shadow over Vampere's features:

Helena, Espionage

Scarlet, Resources

Teo Mason, Resources

Sybil Thessaly, Resources

Kayleth, Communications

Tim, Civilian

“Have you seen my Gentleman around anywhere?” she asked her bodyguard. Xeius shook his head. “It’s high time he made himself useful today.” With that, she set off to track down her elusive assistant, holographic cube in hand.

((Everyone can be doing something they normally do close to sunset. They're all underground, so think big canverous rooms, hallways, living quarters, etc.))

Kayleth |"Communications Manager"|

There were only flashes.

A searing pain against his throat.

A hot liquid dripping down the sides of his face.

Breaths coming out in choking gasps as a shaking hand reached for salvation.

He needed it.

It was too painful.

Tremors wracking his frame, shaking him from the inside out.

Flames, an inferno of blue whipping around him.

The flashes of dark figures, illuminated by the consuming rage of the firelight.

A sharp pain in his forearm.

Then silence.

A blissfully oasis of nothingness.

Peace, at last.

He let it carry him away, drifting into a vast ocean of ignorance.

Kayleth bolted up, his form drenched in a cold sweat. His eyes darting to and fro, scanning the dark room around him. He was afraid.

But of what?

As the contents of his nightmare faded from his mind, Kayleth's shoulders relaxed.

The odd pressure against his face alerted the raven haired gentleman of the masquerade mask adorning his sharp features. It covered his nose, cloaking his eyes and cheeks from view.

Slowly turning his head, Kayleth acknowledged the slumbering forms of the man and woman on the bed next to him, red wine stains coating the bed and the empty glasses rolling across the floor.

Silently, Kayleth slipped out of the cover, plucking up a discarded robe and wrapping it around his tall frame.

The dull glow of the street light outside filtered through the cracks in the blinds, allowing just sufficient amount of light to see.

Kayleth trekked around the room, his feet quiet against the velvet carpeted floor. He paused for a moment, noticing several picture frames adorning the shelves of books and various trinkets.

The man and woman from earlier locked in a tight embrace, grins plastered across their faces.

Another picture of a boy and girl, no older than 10 and 11, sitting side by side,  holding hands.

A set of pearl earrings and a matching necklace had been discarded rather hastily on the bureau.

Kayleth reached out, slidding the expensive jewelry into his pocket.

As Kayleth perused the space, something caught his attention,  causing a flag to stick up in the back of his mind.

A picture frame, slightly off kitler on the wall. All of the others were immaculately straightened. But this one was not.

He approached it, picking the frame up and setting it down on the ground. Behind the picture was what appeared to be a metal safe, a key pad bolted into the lock.

Tilting his head, Kayleth silently crept back to the picture of the two children, noting the locked antiquated box beside the sentimental memorabilia.  He pulled the photograph from is frame, noticing the date scrawled messily on the back accompanied by the names 'Catherine and Henry'.

Meandering back over to the vault, Kayleth attempted to plug in the number '43679'.

The light flashed red.

Stepping back, Kayleth placed the photograph down once more and then continued his search around the room.

He found several more photographs of the girl strewn about, but few of the boy as well as several peices of expensive jewelry.

As Kayleth passed by a book shelf, he paused, that alert once again going off in the back of his mind.

His head slowly turned yowards the book shelf he had just past.

It was dusty.

Everything else in the room had been cleaned spotlessly,  likely by servants given the decadent jewelry items scattered haphazardly about.

So why was everything else clean but this shelf not?

What was the family so worried about the servants accidentally discovering that they wouldn't even let them clean the space?

His eyes trailed to a section of the shelf where the dust had been wiped away in a thin line, as if someone had recently pulled out a book. Reaching up, he grabbed a hold of the book and pulled. He felt some resistance, and before he could take it out completely, the sound of a locking mechanism alerted him to the hidden compartment that had popped open under the shelf.

Feeling around, Kayleth retrieved a key form within, holding the extremely small object between two manicured fingers.

He found the whole concept entirely foolish but nevertheless,  some progress had evidently been made.

Turning around, Kayleth walked towards the antique box, sliding the key inside the lock. Miraculously,  the fit was perfect and it opened revealing what appeared to be a bunch of old papers.

As he sifted through it, he found a lock of hair in a bag, a human tooth, several more photographs, a letter, and what seemed like an engagement ring.

Judging by the cut and clarity of the diamond, the thing was super old. And worth a fortune. Which was likely why they locked it away.

As he folded open the letter, he was met with the sloppy hand writing in extremely blotted and runny ink of a grieving mother. The tone was mournful, a lamentation on times past. Of someone lost. Gone away. Whether they were dead or just gone, Kayleth could not discern.

The letter was closed and signed with something fairly nuanced.

'You will always be my kitten,

Mama bear'

Why does that sound familiar?

Kitten. Kitty. Cat. Catherine.

Jumping up, Kayleth snuck back over to the safe. This time he punched in the numbers '548836'.

The light flashed green and the soft click that followed enabled Kayleth to open it. Inside was a folder.

The grin on his face widened as he took it, shoving it under one arm before locking and closing the safe.

He went back through the room, leaving everything as he found it. Except for one thing.

He had plucked a rose from the vase by the hall, leaving the engagement ring encircled around the thorny stem.

He then left the rose by the bedside table, after blessing one of the petals with a dainty kiss.

Loot in hand, Kayleth approached the window, pulling open the blinds and cracking the windows. As he stepped up to the sill, the sound of movement caught his ear.

Turning his head back around, he caught sight of the exhausted and mortified woman as she sat up in her bed.

"Aaron?" She asked him.

Kayleth merely smirked and pressed a finger against his lips, brushing it against his crimson mask before disappearing out the window.

He only caught the woman's wide eyed stare in realization before he leapt off into the evening.

Landing delicately on the roof top below him, muscle memory seized his limbs as he began leaping from roof to roof, nimble as a cat.

He found himself softly singing a song under his breath as he moved, nothing more than  a shadowy blur in the cave dim. Still wearing only a bath robe.

"C'est le plus grand des voleurs. Oui, mais c'est un gentleman."

He knew not the language he was speaking, nor precisely where the song came from. But he knew the song. That's all that mattered..

"Il s'empare de vos valeurs. Sans vous menacer d'une arme"

~Scarlet/ Resources~

The smell of food wafting in from the dining hall was almost irresistible. But Scarlet could get to that later on. Her focus now, was on getting rid of Bob IX, once and for all. Her wolf Quicksilver barked out encouragement to her and occasionally laugh-barking at Scarlet's worst hits.

Scarlet's training dummy collapsed to the floor. She swept the pieces away and added them to the growing pile of mutilated dummy corpses in her bin and ran out of her bedroom, feeling very pleased with herself. As she ran out of her hallway, she was greeted with the sight of empty tables and leftovers of food.

Today'll have to be a no dinner day. Just like every other day of the week. Scarlet made a mental note to reschedule her life.

She was under strict orders to not go above ground, but she disobeyed those rules all the time anyways, so it wouldn't make much of a difference if she snuck out today as well. She ran back into her bedroom and moved aside the tapestry of Daedelus and Icarus flying with wax and feather wings, revealing a tunnel she'd dug there during the countless days she'd been banned from leaving the Underground.

Her room was close to the surface, maybe a few meters away, so it really didn't take long digging it. Scarlet climbed up the tunnel with skill one can only get after months of climbing crudely dug tunnels.

It was beautiful above the ground. The sunset was purple and pink, her two favourite colours. She took half a millisecond to enjoy it before realising Jack Door was enjoying it beside her. Or maybe just staring at the Sun and hating it. His permanent scowl wasn't helpful in finding out what he was thinking.

Jack Door was a notorious criminal known for getting villians out of prison to create a villian army, so they could rule the world. This was the most pathetic plot ever, so he wasn't on her Kill on Sight list. But if she handed him over to the authorities, she could make some easy money. Scarlet devised the quickest (and worst) plan in the history of plans.

"Excuse me, Mr. Door, do you mind talking with me in that alley?" she asked politely

" So I can knock you out-ermm, get your autograph. I'm a huge fan." she lied

Scarlet sighed. There went the jellyfish lamp she planned to buy. She needed to improve her tactics. Sighing she climbed back down to her room. Quicksilver gave her a bark which probably meant 'Someone is coming, pretend to be asleep!'.

She could hear footsteps. Oh no. Someone was coming. She jumped into bed and feigned sleep, seconds before Xyari burst in, expecting the room to be empty, and ready to give Scarlet the biggest punishment ever for sneaking out.

She had to be better if she were to capture Jack Door.

Here's a longer more detailed version of my signature. If you're interested, you can look through it which you will undoubtedly cringe through. Happy Cringefest.

I haven't been on here for quite a while, hopefully I'll get the chance to do so when I'm less busy, so Discord is the best chance you have in the extremely unlikely case you wish to speak to me.

Here's some art, if you would like to view it. Thanks to all the amazing artists who drew these for me, mainly because I'm as artistically talented as a dead slug. Also idk what it looks like anymore, and how gushy i got trying to thank the artists or something so be prepared to cringe your faces off.

I will respond to PMs. I like doing that. But I simply prefer Discord because it takes what- two seconds to send a message? And there's no CAPTCHA. CAPCHA is my mortal enemy. I wish its creator nothing but pain and misery and suffering.

And a small thanks to all the people I have befriended on here. You guys are nothing less than absolutely awesome and have always made my day a teeny bit better. Except you, Liky. You suck. Uwu.

Thanks VicZarSky for creating my favourite night lights. (I never quite liked Dart).

Helena - Spy

Helena hummed as she walked the halls of the Archytype headquarters. She was probably the youngest active duty spy and the best of the best. She had her famous fox mask tied to her belt. She had her ruby and gold hair tied back in a ponytail. She had a knife hidden in her boot, one on her belt and a few other surprises for anyone who got in her way. Besides, she was a spy. It was her job not to be noticed. She was the type of girl who came from an important family, but still...

"I'll take one of those." She whispered to herself, nicking a mulberry tart from a tray in the kitchens. She slipped out before anyone saw her, enjoying her stolen treat. She was looking forward to dinner, but that didn't mean she couldn't swipe something sugary

(short, but something I think Helena would do)

Ah, the city. Hated by many, Teo themself part of those masses, but at least they weren’t stuck here forever. It didn’t take the bitterness out of their mood for these trips, but they could manage bury it. Afterall, it’s easier to haggle rich folks out of ill-earned money with a convincing smile.

An alarm blared a single short note as some roller doors rattled open, bringing Teo’s attention back to the now, and to the concerning sputtering of their trucks engine. A guard held a radio up to his face, waved Teo in, and returned to his booth.

“You’re late” he grumbled.

“Could’ve been later”

He grumbled something under his breath but waved them further into the dock.

Archetypes HQ loading dock was arguably a maze, the kind of place that’s fallen prey to far more renovations and expansions than it sensibly should have gotten, a haphazard poorly planned parking garage cross underground bunker cross cannibalised factory. Upper management didn’t care or didn’t know what goes on down here, as long as it seemed to be getting the job done, and wasn’t collapsing underneath them. Which, to be fair, Teo was certain wouldn’t happen anytime soon (granted they didn’t get ticked off by something here). Their metaphorical hat off to the engineers burdened with this upkeep of the place.

They turned off the main loading area into an older and deeper part. Bare concrete became painted, the light fixtures were arcane instead of electrical; the fancy loading docks. For fancy cargo. Their truck looked more and more out of place next to the few sleek and often armoured trucks in here, yet everyone kept their distance and moved cautiously.

Teo pulled into an empty space where a very official looking lady was waiting. She impatiently tapped a pen on her clipboard, not moving a muscle to help them open the back, just waiting.

“Mx. Mason, do you have any reason to be late?” she snapped.

“No ma’am, apologies. Is the chief still available?” they replied, holding their tongue.

“If you’re lucky. Everything else is in order I assume?”

They cracked open one of the coolers, showing off a chilled row of dark vials; vodiak blood, some their own, a single vial of this stuff easily going for a few thousand on the black market. Teo only knew that scientist and alchemists alike did anything to get their hands on the stuff, as for what they did with it? Not a clue.

She scratched something on the clipboard, some other dockhands taking over. “You’d probably find it easier to track down Scarlet if you want to chance her, but I recommend you just reschedule. I hope that… truck is comfier than it looks”

She left with that, leaving Teo and the other workers to deal with moving the coolers to storage. At least they would have some busy time to figure out what to do next.

Tim and his pack of ghosts

“You’re late”

“Could’ve been later”

The guard grumbled something under his breath but waved the associate operation overseer in anyway as he returned to his post. He wasn't expected to be intercept by other man who sort of sneaking up from behind of all thing. It was not so much as to startled the guard with how non threathening the approach is but the rarity of someone coming directly to him is rather something of a surprise.

"U--um excuse me, are you Mr. Duggan?"

He turned toward the voice to see a shorter man staring meekly at him. He saw this man around the dock quite often, going out and coming back with resource and help unload stuff a few time, a smuggler perhaps. Still a little irritated from the associated overseer's puncuation, he grumbled a reply "Yes, that's me. What do you want?"

The shorter man with the shovel began to fidgeting and is clearly become uncomfortable under the guard's stare. The silent was hung for a little bit too long that he wasn't sure of the other man is going to say anything at all which only help rise the guard's irritation level. before he could snapped though, the short man finally spoke. The content of it are far more parculiar than anything he's expected

"I think you should check your email when you heard back from your shift...u--um sorry that's all I can say. Have a good rest of your shift and uh...sorry for your lost"

"What the heck are you---" but before the guard could have finished, the smuggler was already bowing and speed walked away. The guard grumbled under his breath more, something he's been done a lot. It is easy to pass off the smuggler as another looney,  he wouldn't blame them if they lost their sanity a little in this kind of world but he also can't help but think over what the man has said, especially the last part.

It's not immidiatally drawn upon him but he did lose someone recently, but it isn't a kind of individual that the other would know about. What the heck, how could he... The guard consider writing it off and ignore it but it wouldn't be so hard for him to check his email, would he?

There're still a bit of hour to go but when the guard went back home he would indeed be greeted with a certain email

"I can't believe I let you do this"

" We could still try something else if you want, Mr. Gonzalez"

"...Hmm nah let's do it, It's not like I have anything else to lose right, just---don't look at anything else and delete everything after"

Mr. Gonzalez told him the password and Tim typed it down. True to his word, he doesn't look at anything else as he bring up the new form for the email.

"I'm ready"

"Ok...Ok... just...let me think" Gonzalez signed pacing back and force before a reflection flash on his face and he hung his head down in resignation and recollection. He took a deep breath and begin to tell Tim what to type;

'Hey if you are reading this I'm probably already dea.d......

Tim walked away from the guard's booth, Gozalez was waiting for him at the end of the step and smiled rather sadly.

"Thank you, kid" He signed "Well I think this is it for me"

"You are not going to stick around and watch him read it?" Tim asked

"Mmm no...I think I rather not. The only thing that bound me this place is the fact that...I never get to tell him, you know. I don't know how's he going to react to the stuff I have to say but I think just know that it'd reach him is enough. I don't care how he'd see me after that. Heh. It's not like it'd change anything" The man smiled "Thank you, truly. Well that's it I think, hope I won't see you again too soon"

As he said this, Gonzalez began to fade until there's nothing left of him. Tim stood there for a moment longer before he moved again.  Back to work it is. He still got something to move before the day is over and he's been sneaking off to help Gonzalez move on for a little bit now.

Sybil Thessaly [Monger] | Smuggler [Resources]

Sybil twirled on foot as she made her way down the street, seemingly dancing along to something only she could hear. She splayed her hands out at random intervals as if following the phantom beat. The woman's long, bright yellow nails reflected the dim lighting of the streetlights. Sybil's nails were immaculate, with not so much as a scratch or mark atop the glossy coating.

Despite appearing distracted by something otherworldly, Sybil stopped near the entrance to an alleyway upon overhearing the one word. Her odd but fluid movements did not cease as she listened nosily for a few moments at the entrance. She still stepped a small circle pattern as she kept an ear aimed towards space, listening.

The small alley was cast in a far darker shadow than even the streets lined on the sides with the tall sky.scrapers. The backstreet was very unwelcoming, probably often used as a space to perform quick and illicit activities. The stench of mold, spoiled garbage, and stale ur.ine only added to the effect.

"Stop." A voice uttered. It was soft, but Sybil could make it out despite the hum of the city emitting from around the space from all sides. Another thing Sybil denoted was that the voice was feminine, in a very youthful way. Its owner was probably only in her mid-to-late teens, at most.

"C'mon, pull it off," A much nastier voice sneered. It was gruff, smoke-heavy, and definitely belonged to a man much older than his counterpart.

This did not seem to receive another verbal refusal. But the silence was clearly not an agreement to whatever the man had requested.

Sybil sighed, lifting her face to the sky, fluttering her extended lashes shut before she began entering the alleyway. She was not discreet. It would not be long before the two were alerted of her presence.

The two people in the alleyway were difficult to make out, even as Sybil's eyes adjusted to the darkness. It was not uncommon that people of the city opted for dark clothing shades, not standing out amongst the filth that they ether lived within or participated in.

Sybil dressed more like a venomous insect or poisonous plant whose bright colors screamed, 'Don't touch me!'. Welcoming attention, rather than avoiding, to ward predators off. Such creatures did not need to blend in when they had a natural warning sign painted on their backs.

Sybil's eyelids and the surrounding eye area were coated yellow, much like her nails. The shade stuck out sharply in contrast to her dark skin. The eyelid itself was a darker hue, but the extending edges were much brighter on both the inner and outer corners of her eyes. Rhinestones also adorned the tips of her eyelash-line up towards her eyebrows. Sybil's cheeks and lips were highlighted and stained a similar gold.

Various belts adorned Sybil's hips and waist area. Only one was actually useful in that it kept her baggy yellow cargo pants in place. The other three were resting in various tightnesses, either clenching her waist or sliding low over the waistline of her pants.

Sybil wore a plain black turtleneck with no design or pattern, but it was adorned with various pins along the neckline. There did not seem to be a rhyme or reason to the meanings or patterns of the pins, other than that they all sported yellow tones.

Some golden cuff-like beads had been weaved into Sybil's curls, completing the color scheme.

The metal clasps of Sybil's belts clanked together as she entered the alleyway in a slow but rollick fashion. It was not overly loud, but Sybil did nothing to obscure the sounds and she was quickly detected.

"Hey," A man's voice said; the same as before. He had turned to watch Sybil's odd movements, revealing an unkept beard and an uneven nose, probably having had been broken in the past. "Get lost, junkie. This place is occupied, go snort your stuff somewhere else."

Sybil was silent at the jibe, simply cocking her head to the side as she brushed a hand against the wall for a brief moment. She brought the hand back to her body, now cupped.

The girl against the brick wall was young, like Sybil had expected. She could not be older than 18. Whereas the man was probably in his late twenties. Despite the girl's earlier protest, she seemed to have unwillingly accepted her fate with the foul man who caged her into the tight space.

Sybil neared the two individuals once more, swinging her arms outwards in the start of a twirl.

"Like I said." The man turned away from the girl now, fully facing Sybil and taking her fashion sense in. "Get out of here, you tripping wacko."

Sybil stepped forward again to close the distance between herself and the man, before harshly whirling in a circle. Her clawed hands raked across the man's face, the force of her spin adding to the friction.

The man screeched in pain, at least one of Sybil's long nails definitely having drawn a line of blood.

While all Sybil needed to do was touch the man with her skin, she was not sympathetic to the fact that she had also inflicted the physical damage.

"You bit-" The man held his face as he began yelling curses, but he was cut off. Right as Sybil held out her cupped hand, allowing a long red centipede to unwind. A few dozen legs struggled as if in an attempt to grab purchase of something despite the creature being held in the air.

The man screamed now. It was far more haunting of a yell than the one he had gurgled out from the slash Sybil's nails had inflicted. That was pain. This was unadulterated fear.

The man collapsed on the filthy ground of the alleyway, seeming to be in a state of shock. Sybil kicked him over further with her booted foot, forcing his head against the ground with the same foot as she dangled the centipede closer to his face.

The man could not even yell anymore, seeming to render into a frozen-like state.

Sybil held not an ounce of remorse on her actions, as the man was inarguably in the wrong. But neither did she experience many thrills from something that only took several moments to accomplish.

"Th-thanks..." The blonde girl against the wall slinked further away from the man now lying on the floor. She did not appear to understand what had led to the man's whimpering state. The blonde did seem somewhat relieved, despite the rather unorthodox methods Sybil had used.

"Don't mention it, kiddo." Sybil purred. "It's dangerous here as is, but you should know by your age that the really unsavory folk come out around sunset."

Sybil took her heeled black boot off the man. She cupped the centipede in her hand once more. There were enough crawling around in the alleyway to frighten the man without her enforcing it further. When Sybil had brushed her finger against the man's face, she had induced the man to fear the centipede she held in her other hand. Sybil did not have enough control to often dictate the time limit of her phobias, especially when she would soon be leaving and creating distance between her and the man. But she had attempted to will this phobia to stay with the man for a particularly long period.

"While you're here," Sybil smiled at the girl, twirling in a circle once more as she patted her side with her free hand. "Wanna buy some dr.ugs, kid?"

Sybil soon returned to her room in the underground compound. The woman closed the door to her room, immediately dancing over to the wall of her room dedicated to a collection of tanks, jars, and other glass enclosures. Most of them sported assortments of insects and arachnids. Most of the occupants were decorated in bright colors and patterns.

Sybil took hold of a small screened tank, unoccupied by any other creature for the time being. She gently dumped the centipede that was still cupped in her hand into the enclosure.

"Thanks for helping me out, 'lil guy." Sybil purred once she had secured the top of the box. The centipede immediately began working its numerous legs to wiggle around the space, digging around the substrate and underneath a piece of wood. "I think I'll name you Jazzy. I had a jazz song stuck in my head during that whole thing... oh, I might bring you out on my next job, if you don't mind. And I have just the outfit to match you."

Sybil grinned before moving over to a larger glass terrarium. Eight eyes peered out at her from within the hole of a small log.

"Crate," Sybil cooed. The tarantula was actually named Crazy Eight, but Sybil often used the shortened version of the name when she addressed the arachnid. He was her favorite of her insects and arachnids. The spider was large, but could still sit in the palm of the average human's hand. The body of the spider was a dark but vivid cobalt blue, with gold accents and white patterns spotting the spider's body and legs.

Sybil's phobia inducement was often meant for humans, but it also seemed to work on mammals and birds. However, insects and arachnids, despite being some of the best references for her phobia inducements, did not seem personally affected by Sybil's power.

She was not entirely sure if it was due to the difference in the way insects' brains were wired, but she was able to handle them without fear of inducing a phobia on the creatures. Thus, Sybil often used them in her line of work as she could utilize them to inflict fear on uncooperative partners.

While Sybil did not discriminate, she did prefer insects with bright colors so she could match them. There was no seeming functionality to it. The woman just enjoyed it.

Sybil lifted the top of Crazy Eight's tank, coaxing the spider to climb onto her hand. As she did this, Sybil noticed some dried blood and dirt under two nails, and a chip had come off from another.

"That guy ruined my nails," Sybil sighed to Crazy Eight, recalling having sliced at the man from before with them. "Looks like I'll have to do my nails tonight. Now, what color..."

Sybil stood now, gently turning on her feet as she once again began dancing along with Crazy Eight to the unsounded music.

Helena - Spy

(feel free to yeet someone Helena's way guys!)

After finishing her stolen tart, Helena hummed happily as she walked to the main dining area of the Archangel compound. Her family lived here and were in the top ranks. While her family name was classified, her parents preferred to keep their distance now that she was the top spy. It was better that way, anyhow. Especially if she was captured by an enemy syndicate. Her danger inuition warned her what was up, giving her time to duck a thrown plate that shattered against the wall behind her.

"YOU ADDED TOO MUCH SALT AGAIN!" A cook snapped at a hapless bus boy who cowered in the corner. An honest mistake anyways. She rolled her eyes as the boy scurried off once she let him off with a warning as she took off for the kitchens. She could smell meats, cooked tubers of some sort (probably potatoes or parsnips), veggies...oooh, all the good stuff! Being part of Archangel meant you got the best of the best - the best food, the best housing, the best training...well, for people like Helena, you needed training. She only had an ability known as Danger Intuition. What some people liked to jokingly call a "Spidey Sense" after that old superhero from the Pre Disaster comics. She'd seen a few in museums where they let you handle the rare things (as long as you were careful). She'd even stolen a few herself. She had quite the personal collection too. She particularly enjoyed the Marvel and DC stories.

(I figure since it's in the future, Marvel and DC would be considered "legendary" or "historical" comics or something like that even though people know they're fantasy if that's OK, Please DNR if it's not so I can edit)

Aythora | Shifter

"Aythora! Aythora!" A small boy yelled as he ran through the market streets, people who heard the name instantly running for cover. The vicinity barely clearing of people before the large white dragon harshly landed on a tall building with a screeching roar. People trembled in the shadow casted by the dragon's wings. Aythora began to climb the down building he landed on, still letting out ferocious roars to keep the people running. Using his tail topple over stalls and boxes, while snapping his jaws at staggering humans yet never truely catching anyone. The sounds of alarms had began to echo closer, giving the dragon enough time to fling a muscular man into a fruit stand and start running, taking a large leap up and catching the air under his wings. Quickly gaining altitude and gliding over the small town. It didn't take the dragon long to get across the town's range, and took even less time to get out of sight of it. Elias wondered why they never migrated elsewhere considering how often he terrorizes the poor people of that town. But, at the same time, he rather enjoyed the reactions given upon even noticing him on the horizon.

The descending sun was clouded with haze providing him a view of a large red circle floating just above the horizon. The middle of the sky painted with pastel colours just before the creeping darkness of night threatened to eat the light. Elias rose himself above the clouds and soared aimlessly as he watched the pretty colours for several minutes. The natural event began to bore him as it started setting further, letting him pull his attention away and figure out where he is. Pulling his wings closer to his body and dropping a couple hundred feet before catching himself again to try and view the surroundings. Spots of bioluminescence began to shine on the ground below, lighting up the vegetation that was scattered about the land. Elias started focusing on some plots of forests in search of his personal one, following the brightly coloured veins of the planet to any recognizable areas. However, he couldn't seem to find any familiarity with the patterns below. Getting closer to the ground and continued to pin point other landmarks of his surrounding, barely able to fly out of the way in time of a large stone wall. Noises of city folk began to echo from inside and the distinct sound of alerting calls began to make themselves known as he continued up. The dragon levelled himself out before circling the wall, people on top of it staring at him anxiously.

'Since when was there a city here? Or did some magic voodoo just spark a city into existence?'Or maybe I'm just really lost...' Elias thought to himself, deciding to dare a little closer and glide just above the roof tops of the sparkling city. More than enough people had seen him, with quite a few of them racing from buildings and chasing after him. Not something he was particularly used to but shrugged it off as he climbed up the sky a little more. Taking a wide berth back to where he came from, and calmly flying over the city's boarders and once again looking for his path home. But the sounds of rumbling mechanic roars from behind him kept him distracted, glancing back in agitation only to see a fleet of vehicles chasing after him.

Already angered, the dragon whipped his tail to the front and dug his wing into the ground, spinning him as he landed on the ground with a skid. The vehicles began to close in on him, only to slow at the large and loud screeching roar the dragon let out. Despite the distance he put between himself and the city, there was no doubt that residents of it would be able to hear the ringing warning he gave. The city was large, yet he was more than sure that several people from even the other end of it could get at least hear an echo of the screech. The vehicles he wanted to stop had only slowed a slight bit. Taking a more cautious approach to his space.

However, Elias didn't feel like playing around with this group of people, the night coming closer and closer with each minute left him wanting to deal with it quickly. Building up gas in his throat and then immediately spewing out in front of him in giant yellow, white, and blue flames. Creating his own wall of fire to keep the vehicles at bay for a little longer, quickly turning around and jumping into the sky, and climbing back up to the sky and as far from the city as he could. Only gliding back down the ground several minutes later, when he noticed the town he frightened earlier, then flying the direct route he knew home.

Vampere ~ Espionage

Vampere scowled when a wave of fear, anger, and surprise rippled through the city, her telepathy usually able to expand to such a radius due to how often she used it. She couldn't pick out exact thoughts, but she got the gist of things even after having triggered her vis a while ago. This way, she was able to loosely monitor any citywide happenings, something the Archangel valued her for. Except for when her telepathy decided to take a random break, then it was back to hac.king computers, watching what little media was left, and checking on active  personnel often.

One concept rang out loudest among the downpour of mental activity Vampere detected.

She bolted into action, shoving her holograph cube into her belt before whirling around to grasp his wrist, triggering her concept vis.

Urgent. Sound for the Hunt. Dragon nearby, she eased into his thoughts, disregarding the finer points of mental inception for now.

"I'm your bodyguard, not your assistant!" Xeius protested, but Vampere had stopped listening. He shook her hand off, but the overwhelming sense of urgency she'd leaked into his mind infested the rest of him, and soon he was running to the nearest watch post.

"Sound the drums!" He shouted up to the watchmen as he ran up the stairs by two. "Initiate a dragon hunt!" The pounding of the drums, boom... boom boom... boom, rang in his earsears as other watch posts took up the alarm, the compound soon becoming a hive of activity as members from all divisions began running for their equipment or being galvanized into a confused huddle.

Meanwhile, Vampere twisted her wide armband she wore hidden on her forearm, activating the computer system within the slim dashboard. Within a few swipes and taps, she brought up the teleport gateways within Archetype's region.

"Comm station," she said aloud. The air fogged in front of her, and she stepped through, coming out the other side of the teleport in an intercom station. The two people, a man and a women, were making out. They both were startled into salutes as Vampere made a mental note of separating the two later and shooed them away from the dashboard. Holding the outdated Mic to her lips, she spoke.

"All hunting units, dragon has been spotted. Recon, find the dragon's position and report back immediately. Defense and Special Services, arm yourselves."

Vampere's voice rang out over the megaphones placed periodically through the underground complex. She sent the message to all active division authorities as well.

((Btw, people can come and go above ground as they please, though underground is typically preferred by contributing members and the surface is generally left to lowlifes and civilian members))

Xyari glared sternly at her assistant.

"Sneaking off again, hm?" she observed dryly. "Remember, if--" Xyari paused before she could finish, an orange dot blinking rapidly on her armband. "Never mind right now," she said when Vampere's comm ended in her earpiece. "We've got a dragon to hunt." With that, she left, letting her in subordinate assistant decide whether to come or not. While Resources wasn't the most exciting of divisions, there was still a lot to do to that helped keep the syndicate running as successfully as it was.

Helena - Spy

Helena heard the mental call. She had just finished her dinner when the voice intruded on her thoughts. She recognized that of Vampere, her boss. She was up, her mask on and tied around her head in one fluid motion as she bolted for the door with every other capable fighter in the facility.

Dragon...we haven't seen one of those in awhile. Helena thought to herself, scrambling for her post along with everyone else. She hoped she'd actually get to see the thing this time. Dragons were creatures of power and grace, of beauty and terror. Contradictions that somehow worked together. Fire and water, air and earth, the representation of all four elements from the old stroies.

"FINALLY! I was hoping for some action tonight!" She whooped, springing onto the roof and spotting Vampere almost immediately, thanks to her reddish hair and dark clothes of the "punk" variety.

"VAMPERE! ANY SIGN OF IT YET?" Helena called, running over to her superior. Despite being the top spy in the organization, she still followed the chain of command

A rythmic drumming alarm

A rythmic drumming alarm echoed suddenly through the building; a city-wide alert. 'Could have been later...' Teo recounted their response to the guard earlier. Seems lucky they weren't.

An unfamiliar womans voice came over the intercom system, briefly drowning out the thrum of activity above and around them. A dragon??? Here? They muttered a curse under their breath; this was going to make an already difficult task much harder. Sure, finding the chief or chief assistant will be easier now, but chances of pulling one of their attentions away from an emergency like this is near-impossible.

This would be a long night.

Kayleth -The Gentleman- |"Communications Manager"|

As Kayleth sprung from building to building, landing deftly on swift bare feet, the sun above head briefly darkened which faltered the ravenette mid-stride.

Taking a moment to glance up, Kayleth spotted the expansive wing size of what appeared to be a flying reptile, circling overhead.

The racket down below grew in volume, peels of screams and shouts of exclamation rolled over the cresting structures and through dense alleyways.

Kayleth calmly straightened up, watching the dragon turn to fly back in the direction it came. The Gentleman tilted his head and then turnes on his heel, walking in the direct opposite direction of the winged beast, noping right out of there. Doing as one probably should when confronted with a dragon- walk away.

Leaping from the rooftop, Kayleth was able to slide down a light pole and safely plant his feet against the ground. His form was the only one stationary in the flood of stampeding citizens fleeing the area.

Kayleth remained still for a moment, daring a glance over his shoulders. The dragon had disappeared behind the outer wall of the citadel but the flashes of light that illuminated the now darkening sky was a strong indicator that some kind of conflict was occuring.

Tensing, Kayleth's eyes narrowed slightly, feeling a pressing sensation against his chest. It was almost suffocating. A deep-seated streak of guilt flashed through him, although he was not entirely sure what he was feeling guilty of. He just knew that he had to get away from the fire.

Setting a lesiurely alebit paced stride, Kayleth took refuge behind an alley, ducking into the shadowed darkness to gather his thoughts. Resting his back against a wall, Kayleth glanced down at his hands, rotating them slowly in the fading light.

The ink on his left forearm drew his immediate attention and he rolled up his sleeve. The makeup concealing the tattoo seemed to have faded in the night, revealing the faint lettering and detailed inscription 'Kayleth'.

Kayleth sighed as he rolled down his sleeve, tipping his head back and closing his eyes, waiting for the screams to cease. They were interrupting his thoughts, it was mildly irritating if he were to be honest.

A gruff voice caused Kayleth's blue eyes to snap open. His head twisted around to appraise the hulking figure of a rather large woman. Her promiment muscles were exposed by her sleeveless top, which appeared to have once had sleeves but had been subsequently "altered". And that was putting it politely. Someone had torn them clean off. Her calloused skin and grim features suggested that she had experienced her fair share of conflict. Her twisted brown hair was pulled off into a tight pony tail, half of her head shaved to reveal a scalp tattoo of some kind of symbol.

"Hmm?" Kayleth purred, arching an eyebrow in her direction.

"Come with me." She growled softly.

Kayleth's brow only raised further. "And if I refuse?"
"Then good luck dealing with that dragon." The woman retorted. "Come on, you know it's my job to play baby sitter to you."

"Touché." Kayleth chuckled, rising to his full height.

While he was not short by any means, the woman stilled towered over him, escorting him down the twisted cobbled streets and cleaving a path through the throng of panicked individuals.

Kayleth kept his eyes trained on the woman, trying to place a name to her visage. He was terribly dreadful with names, especially the names of his lackies.

"I know that look. You've done it again." The woman spared him no second glance, pausing only to scream at a man who had gotten in their path.

"I've done what again?" Kayleth cooed, his voice smooth and silken as he smiled charmingly at his escort.
The woman scoffed. "My name is Rowan."
"Rowan." Kayleth purred. "A beautiful name befitting of a beauty like yourself."

Rowan faltered momentarily, her eyes widening as an uncharacteristic blush crept across her features. "I...."

Kayleth chuckled as he walked past her, none the wiser to the supernatural influence behind his words.

She shook her head, seemingly able to snap out of the effect the empowered words had on her psyche. "How do you do that?"
"Do what, my dear?" Only Kayleth could somehow manage to smirk in an innocent way.

"Nevermind. W're here." Rowan roughly grabbed him by the scruf of his robe, shoving him into what appeared to be a rather seedy looking ramshackled bar.

A tattered hanging street sign bore the words ''Fool's Run'

A subseweunt text underneath read 'The inn for whatever ales ya'

Kayleth merely chuckled at the bad puns, straightening out the bathrobe as he strolled confidently into the pub, disregarding the stares that were sent his way, probably due to his apparent choice in apparel.

Most of the occupants in the bar seemed to have fled, if the over turned stools and discarded coats and hats were any indicator. But a few patrons remained, the most hardened and experienced crew who had seen far too much to be cowed by the presence of a mere dragon... and a few people too drunk to fully comprehend the situation and staggered around, slovenly asking questions.

Rowan had to duck to enter through the rickety wooden door hanging slightly off its hinges.  She approached the bar tender, placing a hand on the sword strapped to her hip. "We come bearing many gifts."

The tavern-keep merely nodded at the statement and turned, revealing a hidden hatch tucked away neatly under a tankard. He pulled open the doorway and Rown escorted Kayleth down the descending stairs into the belly of his domain.

"The Gentleman's back!" Someone shouted as Kayleth emerged onto the bottom floor.

The underbelly of the inn was much nicer compared to the seedy facade it posed as. The cobbled flooring was decorated with a lush carpet and the polished wooden columns lended themsleves to a sense of grandeur and class. It was a rustic look, but elegant and classy.

Tables, booths, and chairs were all built before a massive black leather arm chair at the head of the room.  The only thing more impressive than the granite bartop was the sheer vast collection of various alcohols that lined the back wall.

A small stage was built into the back of the room, for performers and the viewing entertainment of the bar's true patrons.

Although it did not appear as if many guests were occupying the space, only more Archetype agents under Kayleth's general command.

Instantly, the room dissolved into a frenzy of questions such as 'where have you been?' 'did you accomplish the mission?' 'what happened to the dragon?' 'is it safe to go out'

Kayleth merely raised a hand, his quiet alebit commanding demeanour warranted the silencing of the chatter. "This has been.... a lot." He dropped the file folder down on a nearby table. "Make what you will of that, I am going to my quarters."

He brushed past the crowd, sauntering down to the end of the space where several doors lay. He paused for a moment, pondering over them when Rowan approached and opened the correct door for him.

Dipping his head towards her, Kayleth walked inside of his room, immediately closing and locking the door behind him. He expelled a sigh of releif and pressed his forehead against the otherside of the door.

Scarlet l Resources

A dragon? That was new.

Scarlet made her way to the Above Ground faster than a bolt of lightning. After a while from leaping from building to building (they happened to be very close to each other) she caught sight of a dragon flying high in the sky. It looked as if it was enjoying the pretty colours that came up in the sky this time of day.

How could she get up there? She put ‘Buy a Jetpack’ on her mental To Do list. Maybe she could borrow a helicopter?

Hang on, was that Helena and Vampere a few buildings away? Maybe she could tag along with them. Scarlet started running towards them, but on the last building a hooded figure appeared from nowhere in front of her.

“Excuse me,  it is really not the ti-”

Scarlet never finished her sentence. Everything went dark.

Darkness. Deep deep darkness.

Twinkling lights. Growing brighter.

A ray of daylight, shooting through the darkness.

Scarlet’s eyes shot open, but she could see only darkness. She could smell the mustiness of a sack and her breathing was shallow. She was probably stuffed in a sack. Scarlet regretted letting Quicksilver fall asleep. He could’ve been helpful in this dilemma.

Footsteps. Someone came in and pulled the sack off her face, enabling her to breathe.

Scarlet gasped. The man, who’d just pulled the sack off, was Alpha, the most dangerous member of the Zeron Brotherhood, the best and most ruthless bounty hunting team in the galaxy.

“Let me guess. There is a bounty on my head and my powers and you’re here to collect it?” she asked, once she had composed herself.

“Precisely. You shall be executed by nightfall tomorrow.” he informed her. Scarlet tried not to look scared. It didn’t work.

“Scared? I’ll be looking forward to watch you die, then, Scarlet. You’ve caused me so much trouble.” It was true. Scarlet had killed two of his brothers, but, to be fair, it was in self defence.

And with that, Alpha strode away, a gleeful smirk on his ugly face.

Scarlet thought for a while. She had her knife in her boot, but that would hardly be able to handle Alpha's  huge sword. She had to figure out a plan soon, if she wanted to keep her head.

((I’m finally done! I did steal a few things from 3Below and RTTE, but I think its fine. Execution IS how you take away someone's powers, right?))

Sybil Thessaly [Monger] | Smuggler [Resources]

Sybil ceased her movements as a familiar voice filled her room from overhead. Speakers located outside but near to her room allowed a relatively clear voicing of Vampere's words being uttered elsewhere in the compound.

Sybil lowered her hands to allow Crazy Eight to crawl onto her shoulder. The cobalt spider crept into the woman's thick hair, obsuring him from view for the time being.

A dragon... Sybil thought quizzically, mentally echoing the word she had overheard. A dragon! Wow, that's rare. I need to at least get a scale, or a tooth... or anything.

Despite not being a part of the aforementioned divisions listed by Vampere, Sybil shoved a few items into the various pockets on her person before quickly exiting her room.

Following a few swift figures going in the same direction, Sybil quickly found her way to one of the large central rooms of the compound where many figures in the fighting divisions were arming themselves with weapons and tools to go after the dragon.

"Pleaseee tell me you're going to try to capture it," Sybil begged the surrounding individuals, talking to no one in particular as she clasped her hands together. "Or at least, let me follow it to the nest before you kill it."

Vampere ~ Espionage

Vampere glanced demurely at the young woman, wincing inwardly at the sheer aura of energy the girl emanated.

"Defense is mobilizing as we speak. They'll herd the dragon this way," was all she said.

Out of the corner of her eye, Vampere saw Scarlet, Xyari' s handful of an assistant, making her way towards them when a figure intercepted her, then both were gone within a blink.

"Did you happen to see Scarlet on your way up?" Vampere asked, testing Helena's range of observation. She considered setting out after the pair, but figured Scarlet could handle her own. Besides, there was a valuable dragon to catch for Resources to divvy up among the divisions. Dragon scales made near impenetrable, mobile armor. Their talons and teeth were worth a fortune in the weapons and accessories booths in the black markets, not to mention the spikes that often protruded down their spine made great intimidating jewelry. Resources could use the meat to provide meals for hundreds to thousands, depending on the size and creativity of the chef, including how many additives the chef used. Dragon bones were excellent decor and could be made into a variety of thinhs, most of which could be sold in the markets for a hefty price.

Xeius raised an eyebrow at the young woman's morbid plea. After he had finished beginning the chain of alarms, he had begun to mobilize Defense himself, him being a moderately ranked member of Defense and one of their main muscle men with a balance of brains, a reason why he had been assigned to protect Vampere.

"Feel free to track the beast down yourself, then, Monger," he said as he passed her, already wearing a vest reinforced with dragon scales from the last dragon they'd hunted a dew years ago. He had a large, modified AR strapped to his back, developed to fire kinetic bullets instead of messy metal ones. The backlash and sound of the gun were considerably reduced, making it deadlier than before.

He paused, eyeing Sybil. Xyari is gonna ki.ll me if one of her best smugglers is injured, he thought before he said, "Or feel free to tag along."

Aythora | Shifter

Aythora landed gracefully on a large tree, the night having set in to its fullest by time he arrived. He glanced back in the general direction the small town was, and he assumed was also the direction the city laid in.

'Okay... so... twenty minute flight from the high winds... with an actual sense of where I was going... Should mean.. I have about four to five hours to kill some time before those people arrive. Even more if they don't know where they're going. Hope they don't ask the town's people for help... That wouldn't be ideal.. They have sense of my territory, albeit not great, but enough to at least point them in this direction...' his thoughts continued to ramble as he started leaping from tree branch to tree branch in the large pocket of woods. He was a large enough dragon, standing at eight feet tall when on all fours, but even the giant red wood trees dwarfed him. He was sure they used to span the entirety of the land, yet now they only take up a select number of acres that dot across the biome. Their blue and green glow created an almost fictitious environment, with white and blue bushes lighting up the ground. His dull white scales, however, made him stand out among the bioluminesce. Similar to a dark shape moving through a curtain of light. Skidding to a stop on a branch, he peered at a bush holding bright blue berries. The sight tilted his head in thought, glancing down at his scales once more before leaping down to the bush.

'Perhaps.. I shouldn't stand out so much' he figured, sniffing the foods before pulling them off the branch and chewing up the treat. Quickly flapping his wings back to a tree as he finished and watching his scales slowly begin to glow in swirling patterns, making him blend easier into the foilage of the trees. Aythora was about to continue to his home when another thought flashed across his mind.

'Perhaps I shouldn't go home just yet... Don't feel like making a trail back there...' Despite the fact he hasn't made a trail to follow since he landed in the forest patch. Having travelled by only trees the whole time, with only one moment of standing on the ground. However even that was a calculated action as he only remained on dried flooring, still covered by fallen foilage so not to leave a footprint behind. But despite the excessive measures he took, he still held worry in his thoughts that caused him to turn in the trees and jump back to the entrance of the forest. His glowing blue and white scales would stand out far more out in the open, as very little plant life was out there to create the biolumosity. Simply leaving behind a black outline of the surface. But his brightly coloured scales against the black backdrop would help to drive the people away from his territory if need be.

So, he decided to take to the sky once again and find a smaller patch of woods near the edge of his territory to watch for the hunters. Purposely landing in the dirt path near it and making his trail as noticeable as he can to his hiding spot before finding a place to rest and wait.

((Hey guys... just a reminder that Aythora is not anywhere near the city.... he's 5 hrs away and not in sight of the city at all... you have to go get him...))

Great. Just great.

Thanks to her awful luck, she was tied up in a room with certain death looming before her and some action she was missing. Ugh. She was fine with her height, but if she didn’t get out of here she’d soon be a head shorter.

Maybe she could use her powers? They worked less frequently than half the time, but right now, it was a gamble she was willing to make.  Scarlet was almost hyperventilating.

Deep breath in

Deep breath out

Scarlet willed all her determination into her hands, and she was just about to shoot a lightning bolt at her wrists, hoping to get herself out of this quagmire when she realised, oh wait, I have a knife in my boot! I can reach it!

Scarlet cut herself free, now she wasn’t flailing on the floor, she got a good look around the room. There were no windows. Just a door, most likely locked.

She tried opening it. To her surprise, it swung open. Alpha was sitting in an armchair beside a fireplace. The door was right in front of him. There was no way she could get out without him noticing.

Damn it. She weighed her options.

  1. Attack Alpha with her knife and hope for the best. Success Rate: 3/10
  2. Sneak out. Success Rate: 5
  3. Stay in the cellar, get executed and a glorious death. Success rate: 10/10

Option three had the best success rate but it was rather... unappealing. Option two it is, then.

Scarlet jumped from behind the table to behind the chair like a ninja. Now she had one last leap to the door left. She pulled out her knife and ran swiftly and silently to the door. She had a quick look at Alpha. He was asleep! She was going to live!

She took a step.

A creaky floorboard. Alpha’s eyes shot open.

Scarlet grabbed her knife and brandished it, trying her best to look intimidating. Alpha laughed.

“Hahaha! You are just a teenager! I’ve been training for decades.”

Scarlet’s blood boiled. She didn’t bother throwing back a retort, because she knew Alpha would use the time to grab his sword which was right beside Scarlet.

The sword was right beside Scarlet.

The sword was right beside Scarlet!

Scarlet pulled it out of it’s sheath with some difficulty and pointed it at Alpha.

“I’m going now. Chase after me and you will face the wrath of my sword.”

Alpha nodded meekly as Scarlet ran out, her left hand sagging significantly lower than her right with the weight of the sword.

“Vampere! Helena! ”

Scarlet had just caught sight of two people, one wearing punk-y clothes (most likely Vampere) and one with a fox mask (most likely Helena).

“I’m back! What did I miss? Also, I got a new sword!” she said happily, waving it about and accidentally banging someone in the face with it.

Tim heard the sounds alarm in the dock. Recognizing the incoming threat, he follows the protocol and retreat to safty. Since he's not actually work here, it's not as critical to abandorn his work, the most might be that he won't get paid for it, which might be a hazel but hey what can you do. It's not that his line of work is require to fight a dragon or continue working regardless of dragon attack anyway.

Tim's retreat was although swift, was in the rather calm and stoic manner. It's not that he's so brave he's not recognizing the life and death threat of a dragon attack but then again He's never known to be the most intune with emotions.

He vengered deeper into the building that would provide him shelter, depend on the outcome may be the next line of work he'd be given is to harvest the dea.d dragon and he might be called back once again.

Helena - Spy

Helena was about to reply to Vampere to say that she hadn't seen Scarlet, the dark haired from Resources, or her pet wolf for that matter, when who should show up but the woman herself!

"There she is." Helena chirped to her boss, gesturing with a "Ta-Da!" gesture to the other girl. Then she got an idea, looking at her current set of knives along her belt.

"Is there any chance I can call dibs on some of the dragon's teeth and claws now? I'd love to use them to make a new set of knives. Mine are getting dull no matter how much I sharpen them from constant use and dragon part weapons never dull." She asked, a hopeful look on her face as they waited for orders

(Also, @Random, I have no idea what type 1a hair is, can you clarify that for me?)

Vampere ~ Espionage

"There she is," Helena said rather belatedly as Scarlet appeared.

"I'm back! What did I miss? Also I got a new sword!" Scarlet practically bounded over to where she and Helena stood. Vampere withheld an eye roll, feeling herself surrounded by energetic kids. Scarlet waved a sword around, nearly taking off Xeius's head in the process as he and another woman joined the growing group. Xeius shared a look with his charge, raising an eyebrow.

"Sheath that sword or I'm throwing it off this roof," Vampere snapped.

Helena asked to call dibs on some dragon teeth and claws. Vampere could've flattened dough with the look she gave her top spy.

"First come, first serve," Vampere said. "No guarantees, no dibs, no promises. Understood?"

"Our ride is ready," Xeius said as a trio of harnessed griffins landed on the launch pad Vampere had been waiting on. Two were saddled and empty, awaiting Vampere and Xeius.

"Thank you, Mister Obvious."

The man who rode the third griffin glanced between the rest of the group, hesitant.

"I was only told to prepare two Griffin's, ma'am," he said, giving Xeius a confused look.

"Then we'll just have to use yours," Vampere said. The man cocked his head, mouth opening in protest, but Vampere silenced him with a glare. The man scowled, but dismounted his griffin, handing the reigns to Vampere. As much as she preferred to leave the three other women behind, she didn't want them running about loose during a hunt. Besides, two of them seemed to have their own agendas already with the dragon's potential.

"Off you go, now, thank you," Vampere told the man, shooing him away. She held the third griffin still with the reins for Scarlet and Helena to mount, telling them: "You two will ride between Xeius and I. Don't try controlling the beast or I will have you forcibly removed from the saddle, on my command or not. Sybil, you ride with Xeius. Got it?"

((Vampere gonna teach her girls some cruel world facts real fast lmao))

((I'm just going to assume for now that Sybil accompanies Xeius. I'll edit later if not.))

((IMPORTANT: We are not doing any time skipping as of yet. The current time is twilight [around 7pm], Aythora is 4.5 hours away, and we will reach him using aerial transport a little after midnight. No long-distance teleportation, no summoning mythical mounts, no nothing until I give the say so. This way we're all on the same page with reduced confusion.))

Helena - Spy

Helena nodded, mounting up behind Vampere on her griffin. She always loved these creatures and riding them. Especially the eagle types because of their goregous colors. Her favorite was one with the head of a golden eagle and the body of a golden jaguar named Whetu. She was usually the griffin Helena requested when she wanted to fly somewhere.

"Yes Ma'am!" She told her boss, eager to get her hands on some dragon parts despite a slight cringe from the look her leader aimed her way. She made a mental note to stay on the woman's good side from now on, or she wouldn't get any of the loot from this kill.

Vampere ~ Espionage

((@Sky and @Random: The third griffin was for Scarlet and Helena...

@Sky: Vampere's a jaded censored so just stay on the griffin...

Also please please please keep in mind this is a villain RP with messed up, doom and gloom people... Nothing against anyone, but this is a villain dystopia RP...))

Vampere stiffened when Helena slid onto her griffin. Scowling, Vampere resisted the strong urge to shove the impertinent spy off the saddle. Exhaling with exasperation, Vampere dismounted and crossed over to the third, riderless griffin, still holding onto both sets of reins.

Swinging into the saddle of the third griffin--thereby leaving a spot for Scarlet with Helena-- she gave Helena a cross look, telling her, "I said you and Scarlet will be riding. Together. On your griffin. Just the two of you. The griffin will be the one doing the flying between Xeius and I."

While Vampere tolerated most people, she absolutely abhorred unnecessary physical contact when she could help it. Thus why she wanted her own griffin. As Director of Special Services and rumored (and actual) Chief of Espionage, she could get away with it, one of the many perks she enjoyed as equal to second highest authority in the syndicate.

"I need to fly by and pick up my assistant though. He'll want to be present for whatever happens," Vampere noted. "Xeius, meet me by the north Defense launch point. I'll meet you and the others there with Kayleth."

Kayleth -The Gentleman- |"Communications Manager"|

The small pitched sound caught Kayleth's attention, and the raven haired man slowly peeled his forehead from the door to gaze into the darkened chambers behind him.

A small figure lay strength across the plush bed, partially obscured by show, only the tips of its fur were illuminated by the dull light.

The cat was extremely fluffy and of the tortoiseshell variety. Her mottled amber brown and pitch fur swirled together in inky black stains along her pelt. Her face appeared to be divided in half by a suspiciously straight marking, the left side was a crème brown and the right a stark black.

Although what was perhaps the most shocking thing about the cat was that she was a cyborg. At least one entire limb, starting from the paw and stretching out towards the shoulder had been replaced by a cybernetic prosthesis.  The glinting metal greatly juxtaposed the soft furred body around it. One eye on the black side of her face was replaced by a metallic lense designed to somewhat mimic the emerald colouration of her biological eye. More interestingly, was the crystal like apparatus built into the centre of her chest which emitted a faint, pulsating glow.

"Hi there, Cat." Kayleth murmured.

"Prrrr?"  Cat replied, rising to her paws. She arched her back in a deep stretch, splaying two fuzzy paws out in front of her and lifting her rump into the air. Cat languidly padded forward, springing off the bed and landing with a quiet thud against the ground.

Tail straight in the air, Cat approached Kayleth,  entwining herself around his legs as a loud out emanated from her chest.

Expressionless, Kayleth stooped down and picked the tortoiseshell up from the floor, causing Cat to meow once again.

Absently stroking the animal, Kayleth turned his focus back into his darkened quarters, taking inventory of his possessions; of which he had none.

His room was unrealistically sparse. No pictures decorated the walls, no trinkets or trophies, or cool knick-knacks. Nothing to single that this room was at all inhabited by anyone. Just a perfectly made bed, and a closet.

Well, there was one thing.

Kayleth knelt to the floor, reaching under his bed until his fingertips came into contact with a leather bound book. Pulling it out, he sat down on the bed and opened up the curiosity.

Flipping through the pages, Kayleth perused the contents of the book. His movements were almost ritualistic, as if this were something he did frequently.  A few sketches of faces and people were scattered into the pages, falling out as Kayketh turned the next page.

He had just the amount of time to get to the end of the book when a rapid knock at his door drew his attention.

Setting Cat and the book aside, Kayleth rose to his feet and opened up the door.

Rowan stood there impatiently, crossing her arms.  "Someone's looking for you."

"Tell them to check back at a later date, I am occupied." Kayleth cooed.

"Sorry, buddy. You can't tell your boss to 'check back in later', that's not how it works." Rowan scoffed.

"My boss." Kayleth echoed. "Vampere?"

Rowan nodded.

"I suppose Buffy won't be understanding enough to allow me to make myself decent first?" Kayleth sighed.

"It's you're neck." Rowan shrugged.

"I'll speak with her." He swung open his door and stepped outside, Cat following close on his heels.

Finding purchase on the wooden stairs, Kayleth pushed open the secret hatch and emerged once more into the fading daylight.

There he noticed a woman waiting for him, appearing slightly impatient.  Her attractive angled features were pulled into a tight expression, her auburn hair delicately framing her face, which only further illustrated her interesting facial features.

"Ah, Vampere." Kayleth purred as he emerged upwards, still wearing only and bathrobe and literally nothing else. The deep neckline exposing the jaggery scar that ran across his clavicle and part of his chest. "If i had known you were planning a visit, i would have prepared a drink... and cleaned up." He shot a quick glance at the over turned chairs in the main lobby.

Immediately,  the workers in the area shot to attention and began to tidy up the place, needing no further command than the terse look from Kayleth.

"However," Kayleth continued, "I suspect this visit is more about business than pleasure." He placed emphasis on the final word in that sentence, fixing Vampere with a sly foxish smile.

While he greeted Vampere warmly, there was no spark of recognition behind cerulean his eyes.

(@Sky, 1a hair is really really really straight hair. I feel like this isn’t a very good description, but you can look it up))

(( @The Bohemian Critic, I’ll try to make Scarlet more doom-ey and gloom-ey, to the best of my abilities))

Vampere was clearly rather irritated with her and Helena, Scarlet noticed as she sheathed her brand new sword. Quicksilver decided to appear at her heels just then. Just now, Quicksilver? Seriously? Where were you when I needed you? Scarlet thought. You can get all the things on Earth, just not when you need them.

Since it would be best not to annoy Vampere right now, she quietly listened to what she was saying and managed not to talk even though there were so many things she wanted to say.

Scarlet mounted her griffin, Quicksilver sitting on the poor animal’s head like a figurehead on a ship. With Helena on the griffin too, Scarlet felt claustrophobic, squashed between Helena and the griffin’s head. Scarlet never really realised she was claustrophobic. Must be why I feel sick every time I climb up my secret tunnel she thought.

She didn’t want to think about claustrophobia, so she thought about the griffin instead. It was golden, with the head of an eagle and the body of a leopard. It probably already had a name, but frankly, who cared? Scarlet decided to name it Chrysos, which was latin for gold. Vampere talking broke Scarlet out of her Latin-Daydream. "I need to fly by and pick up my assistant though. He'll want to be present for whatever happens. Xeius, meet me by the north Defense launch point. I'll meet you and the others there with Kayleth” Vampere said

(( If you are a latin freak like me, you would know Chrysos is latin for gold. I wanted to name him Minos too, from greek mythology, but Minos is selfish and all that, so...nope.))

(Lol, I LOVE mythology stuff! Especially the Rick Riorden books. And while most of my characters are upbeat, I can picture a chirpy, happy villain - sort of a Harley Quinn type personality with a little Poison Ivy thrown in)

Helena blushed, cringing a bit at her boss's anger towards her for mounting the wrong griffin. She quickly scurried to get down, getting on behind Scarlet instead so she could take off to get her assistant.

"Sorry Ma'am!" She apologized, embarrassed by the whole thing. She honestly hadn't been paying attention to what Griffin she was supposed to ride. Her mind had been wandering during that part of the instructions. She mentally kicked herself and reminded her brain to pay better attention next time.

"You know where we're going?" Helena asked Scarlet, her own red-gold hair was short, tied back into a ponytail with a gold cuff like clasp hidden under her hood. She was glad her fox mask hid her embarrassment from the other girl.

“You know where we're going?" Helena asked Scarlet somewhat sheepishly

Scarlet was about to say something like “Dude, didn’t you hear a word Vampere said”when she realised Helena probably paid as little attention to Vampere as her. The only reason Scarlet knew where they were going was that she’d heard of the North Defence Point so many times, that the name was implanted in her brain.

”We are going to the North Defence Point, Helena” she said. She couldn’t read Helena’s face because she was wearing her fox mask, but if Scarlet had to guess, Helena was embarrassed. Scarlet didn’t want to make her feel more embarassed, she’d been there, so she decided to get Chrysos to fly, to fill the silence.

“ Chrysos, lets fly!” Scarlet exclaimed, tugging at the reins.

The hall safed as can be, he guess. It's not like the dragon can attack there and all the people has retreated here too, which is why Tim doesn't like how crowded it is. But since he was planning to stand by in case he got calling out and get paid for it, he hung around. Maybe he should grabbed something to eat in the meantime. He tried to make himself less noticable as possible, hugging the corner of the wall, it's not like he has any friends here but there're still some people he worked with that would recognize him, while they aren't friends if they feel like it they might greet him and honestly Tim doesn't really want to deal with that also.

Speaking of, he spots Teo not so far away, they are his...boss?(again, he doesn't technically work there) acquaintance? co-worker? They're specifically stood out from the rest for Tim, not because of their appearance well not in the normal sense, but the fact that Tim could, sometime and vaguely, see their outline that's not really theirs but are overlaping with their being. Tim recognized that as a little strange but never thought much on it or comment on it but his ghosts however doesn't seem too hot on them.

"Give off bad vibe I'm telling you" one of the ghost of the old man told him as he shrink away. Most ghost tend to do that whenever Teo is within the radius. The ghosts weren't here currently too, save for Dan whom Tim wasn't at all surprise is still around consider after his own mother and sister, the male ghost seem to hang around him the most often.

"So are you going to say hi to them or..." Dan prompted floating carefreely not too far away. Tim shook his head a little and continued on his merry way of tried-not-to-get-notice-i-am-one-with-the-mob. It's only a matter of time however with how much he's been staring at Teo.

Sybil Thessaly [Monger] | Smuggler [Resources]

Sybil's eyes followed Xeius' form as he had walked by, only seeming to further fuel Sybil's passion to retrieve body parts or adornments of the dragon as she took in his scaled vest.

Despite not enjoying the concept of being hunkered close next to someone on the back of a griffin, Sybil did not pass up the offer that had befallen her. Greed and jealousy combined seemed to be a great motivator.

Following Vampere's bodyguard brought Sybil to where several griffins had been gathered, waiting to be flown off in pursuit of the hunt.

Sybil stretched her limbs, ridding some energy in preperation. She believed the group would be airborne for a good while based on the intel she had overheard from the surrounding chatter.

The dark-haired woman reached into one of her pockets to pull out a pair of highlighter yellow-colored gloves. She doubted she would fortuitously touch Xeius' skin, being so protected in the thick armor as he was. But she also had no desire to accidentally induce the man of their own mount mid-flight, so for now she opted to cover her bases with common courtesy until they were closer to the dragon threat. She did not want anything getting in the way of her and any of the precious goods to be harvested from the dragon, and with any luck, it's nest.

Sybil briefly wondered how dragon guts tasted. Her mouth salivated at the thought of the various offal dishes that could be served from such a catch.

Sybil nodded in acknowledgment to Vampere as she followed Xeius to his mount, waiting for him to climb on first as she presumed he would be taking control of the griffin.

"Shame on no dibs," Sybil sighed, mostly to herself. She would simply have to be quick; at least, if there were any competition to be had gathering the dragon's entrails and organs. "I really want to try a dish made with dragon brain."

Flitting between choosing a meal and absent-minded non-thought, Teo eventually noticed the young man doing a very bad job of not staring at them. They didn't recognise the guy, not by name at least, but still had a feeling in the back of their mind that the two had met before. Once they had their food, they made very obvious eyecontact and made their way to a table. Hopefully either he would get spooked and leave, or start up conversation. Just, anything but staring.

Why is he staring at me like that? Tim shifted uncomfortably now that he's subjected the the recieving end of the stares. Tim can smell trouble when he sees it.  Teo would be right if they've guess that approaching him like that would censored Tim away, although not all the way as Tim barely moved despite showing clear sign of stress, either out of the resignation that he's not going to get away or instinctive stubborness somewhere deep down. so that's left him as a guy rooted at where he's at, avoiding another person's eye contact and seem to be shrinking upon himself.

Helena - Spy

Helena knew the Northern Defense Point. She'd been stationed there before when she was coming up the ranks in Archetype. She tried to remember the layout of the garrison, then had an idea.

"There's a landing pad for flying animals near the weapons emplacements!" She called over the wind, the outline of the base clear in her mind

The guy froze almost as soon as Teo looked at him. Well he wasn't spying on him at least (or was doing a terrible job of it), which unfortunately for him just made Teo more curious at his deal. Alright, fine. 'We gonna keep playing this funny little game or am I gonna have to tell you to come over here?' they thought to mostly themself, but a little bit to him in case he was a telepath or something.

They tilted their head in a 'come on' gesture for good measure, and found a seat.

Vampere ~ Espionage

((@Wolf: Buffy??))

Vampere turned to face her obnoxious yet somehow efficient assistant. She looked at him from head to toe, noting with slight disgust and mostly bemusement that he was still only in his bathrobe. Her eyes flicked over the prominent scar before meeting his eyes.

"Quit your sh*t or I'm leaving you here," Vampere retorted, this close to sewing his smarta$$ mouth shut. She knew a good jaunt like tonight's would intrigue him, most of all the dragon.

Vampere had stopped by her place to grab a set of clothes she kept there for occasions like this; during a time when he’d invited her over for a laboriously boring debriefing, she had smuggled some clothes of his out. Trying to explain to the seamstress later on that no, Vampere wasn’t married; no, she didn’t have a boyfriend; and yes Kayleth was ok with it (small lie but the seamstress didn’t need to know that) when she went to have the clothing duplicated in size and the measurements sent to her had been a disaster. That in itself had been its own disheveled misadventure.

Tossing the satchel of stolen clothes to Kayleth, she told him, “Put those on. You’re riding with me soon as you’re dressed. We’re hunting a dragon tonight.”

Vampere mounted Syphax, the name she had given her griffin on the flight here. She sent a mentally scribed note to Xyari to tell the transport stables to rename GFN-148 to Syphax in the database, letting said griffin pace back and forth while they waited for Kayleth.

Xeius mounted his griffin, Sybil having left him enough space in the front. Glancing back over his shoulder to make sure his saddle partner was secured, he nudged his griffin—whom he decided to name Magnesia—into flight, leading the way to the rendezvous point.

A few minutes later, Xeius landed Magnesia on the landing runway, circling her back around to the nearby hangar. Inside the rather spacious place was a food and water station for the flying beasts, along with a line of stalls and roosts crisscrossing the vaulted ceiling. He dismounted and waited by the griffin's side as she gulped down a large drought of water.

He glanced at the woman who'd ridden with him, the sight of her making his mind go blank on conversation starters. Sure, he could be decently talkative with Vampire because 1) he had been protecting her almost from day one when she joined the Archetype and 2) she had made it abundantly clear she had no romantic interests in him, a mutual feeling.

"I think they want you to come over" Dan told Tim since he wasn't exactly making the eye contact. The shorter male making the strangled noise, readjusting his backpack straped, bracing himself before reluctantly followed after them to their seat. What now, this is going to be such a drag. Screw it, let's get it over with.

"Ummm" Tim was never really good with the conversation starter "Do you need anything?"

((I'm fine either way, Tim is not an adventurous type though so if he's going to get involve it would either be through order or coincidence or his ghosts' wish, othewise he'd not just jump into fray))

"There's a landing pad for flying animals near the weapons emplacements!" Helena called over the wind to Scarlet

So there is, Scarlet thought why didn’t I notice that?

“I see. I’ll try my best to land, like-”

Scarlet landed Chrysos expertly, and jumped down from his back, slightly dizzy.

"Vampere and Kayleth aren’t here yet. I guess we’ll have to wait.” "Also, just for the record, I want the dragon's scales. I could do with some dragon armour"

oh so that's the problem? "I was called up to help out at the docking bay today and got here to wait out that dragon annocement" Tim muttered the explaination "That's...not the problem, right?"

They squinted slightly. "... The 'problem' is that this place ain't the sort where people just stare at folks they don't know or got business with. That's probably something you should already know about bein' here. Could end up with a knife between the ribs for ignoring or watchin the wrong person"

'Maybe shouldn't'a said that' Teo chided themselves, realising their words could be taken as threatening.

"As long as I get dibs on the teeth and claws! The scales are all yours. Honestly, I'd rather wear either phoenix feathers or something else other than dragon scales." Helena replied, surprised at the smooth landing. She slid off Chrysos, giving the beast a pat on the beak. He wasn't her female, Whetu, though.

"You there!" She called to a hapless guard who looked bored and snapped to attention when he saw her fox mask.

"Get this griffin food and water. He just had a long flight and we've got a fight coming." She ordered, the guard snapping off a "Yes Ma'am!" in response, trotting off to arrange food for the griffin.

"So is Chrysos yours or do you just borrow him? Because he's a gorgeous animal. I have one myself, her name's Whetu, similar tropical species, Jaguar and Golden Eagle." Helena asked, feeling a little chatty

"The scales are all yours. Honestly, I'd rather wear either phoenix feathers or something else other than dragon scales."

"Even though the scales are unappealing visually, they'll be good protection against pretty much everything. Maybe I'll dye them so they look better." Scarlet explained

Scarlet leaned against Chrysos, watching Helena make food arrangements for the griffin. When'll Vampere and Kayleth get here? They are so late. Scarlet wondered

"So is Chrysos yours or do you just borrow him? Because he's a gorgeous animal. I have one myself, her name's Whetu, similar tropical species, Jaguar and Golden Eagle." Helena asked her

"Well, Chrysos technically isn't mine but I use him all the time, plus I've named him, so I guess he unofficially belongs to me. " Scarlet explained

" Tell me about Whetu. What's she like?" Scarlet inquired curiously

They could have some griffin-talk until Vampere and Kayleth returned. Whenever that happened.

Helena grinned, a smug look on her face now that she got to talk about her favorite animal.

"Oh, I stole Whetu from some royal who wasn't treating her right when she was a cub. Poor thing was all skin and bones when I took her off his hands. I left an anonymous note for the authorities that he was abusing his griffins too as a double punishment. Personally, I would've loved to stab him with a knife where the sun don't shine, but I figure it was better to not get my hands dirty to take care of the little sweetie," She told the other girl, leaning on a nearby ballista as she watched the guard bring over food and water for Chrysos while they were waiting.

"As for what she looks like, she almost looks like him," Helena gestured to Chrysos as the food, chicken from the looks of it, was presented to him. "She's a leopard type body with the head of a golden eagle but the physique of a jaguar. She's also a champion racer. Sometimes, and please don't tell Vampere about this, I like to sneak out with her to compete at the local track between missions. Or if it's part of my cover, I'll use her to compete." She admitted, a slight blush hidden by her fox mask and hood. She figured someone like Scarlet was good at keeping secrets. Plus, it was nice to have another girl to confide in. Maybe they could team up on a job some time. Well, not counting this dragon situation.

Kayleth -The Gentleman- |"Communications Manager"|

"Quit your sh*t or I'm leaving you here," Vampere retorted, earning an amused chuckle from Kayleth.
"My, what fire you have, dearest firebolt." Kayleth purred serendipitously as he used his favoured nickname for Vampere, his lax smile not once sliding from his fair features.
Vampere, unswayed tossed him a pile of clothes, "Put those on. You’re riding with me soon as you’re dressed. We’re hunting a dragon tonight.”
"Yes, my lady." Kayleth placed his right hand over his heart, bowing at his hips as Vampere turned to exit.
He bit his tongue on another inappropriate joke as he turned and trodded back down the hatch, Cat once more following swiftly behind.
Re-emerging into his sleeping quarters, Kayleth once more returned to the book, flipping towards another page. He pressed his index finger against the paper, furrowing his brow.
"Mrow!" Cat declared as she pounced onto his bed, making kitty biscuits with the satin navy pillows.
"Hush, not now, princess." Kayleth quieted his companion, returning to the page.
After a few moments, he straightened up and peered into his closet, grabbing the black leather satchel that hung from within.
The new clothes Vampere has provided matched the ones hanging in his closet. Their loose and flowing silhouettes were kimono-adjacent with tunic-like influences and a plunging neckline. Most of his clothes were dyed in dark blues, browns, and blacks. Subtle hand-stitched silver embroidery adorned the hems and neckline leading down to metal clasps that pulled up the front of the robes.
Getting changed, Kayleth was able to strap the leather saddle-bag to his hip, wrapping the strap around his leg to secure it to his side. The satchel contained a fine ashen grey powder.
Smoothing out the final wrinkles in his outfit, Kayleth once more turned towards Cat. "You are staying here." He chided gently.
"Mrep?" Cat asked
"Dragons are dangerous. We don't serve charred kitten here." Kayleth smirked, giving Cat a farewel boop before heading out the door.
Once more Kayelth ascended the stairs. He crossed the false facade of Foolsrun Inn and poked his head outside, allowing the dilapidated door screech shut behind him. Vampere, up top a majestic gryphon mount, was pacing to and fro across the outside of the bar door, looking rather impatient.
"My lady, you are scaring off potential patrons." Kayleth chided softly as he folded his hands down.
There was hardly anyone remaining in the streets due to the dragon, however, those that were casted strange looks in Vampere's direction. It wasn't too often that a giant eagle lion monstrosity visited the bar.
Strolling over towards the gryphon, Kayleth mounted the beast behind Vampere, keeping a safe distance away from her. Well, as far as the saddle could allow. "Also, wouldn't it be a more effective and useful utilization of our resources to weaponize the dragon rather than slaying it?"

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. " Scarlet reassured

"I've done my share of bad deeds. I have a secret tunnel in my room, and I use it to go to the Above Ground. I've been using it for years now, and no one- well other than you now- knows about it."

"Maybe once this is over, I could ask Vampere to let me get Chrysos for myself. Since I y'know use him so much, I doubt it'd make much of a difference. " Scarlet wondered

Tim, a mess

Tim already know that. He doesn't need them to spell it out for him when he avoid doing it in fear of it happening in the first please, his replied come back a little irritably "Ok, Ok, I know that, sorry" and He hopes they'd drop it at that.

but he himself doesn't

Maybe it's the weird impulse to explain himself despite not being conditioned to it--again Tim was never good with expressing himself to begin with--Against Teo's warning and his better judgement, he decided to casually dropping the bomb of his own "You had a weird outline around you" He said

Still tactless, Tim carried on, well he was enabled, right? "It doesn't happened all the time but sometime there're this sort of see-through line on top of you..well bigger...kinda weirdly shape, like an animal" He tried to explain in the the language normal people would understand, to him he knew what it looks like; a ghost phrasing through a person, like a possession but his ghost friends does explained that they couldn't really do that

"We ghosts couldn't possessed or hurt anyone or move stuff like that. kinda suck" Dan explained once

"and ghosts are warried of you" Tim added

They visibly relaxed. "Oh, good, the last time someone told me I had lines around me I accidently fried every electronic and magic device in a five mile radius. Somethin about a magnet field, made no sense to me but whatever. But yeah that's probably my funny spirit dude, nothing for you to worry about so long as I don't get stabbed. You said ghosts didn't like me, yeah? How's you know that?"

"That would be smart, I made sure it was understood that Whetu was mine when I brought her in before my family decided I was ready to have her." Helena mused, adjusting her fox mask so it sat more easily on her face as she scanned the skies for signs of the dragon.

"Maybe next time I wanna sneak out for a race, I should bring you with me. They're every Saturday over at the Dragon's Circle. The race track with the flying course." She offered, figuring it would be fun to compete against someone she considered as a potential friend. The Dragon's Circle was a well known surface race track that was quite popular with griffin racers and those that rode everything that could be raced from the giant cats to the other flying steeds used in town, including giant eagles.
