Sorry for the long wait, but I have had a busy schedule (one thing gearing for finals), I have had off days and a few bad days thrown in there.  Compound that with trying to finish my store as I was suffereing from writer's block... this has all caused delays in posting my 2nd part.

I'm still gearing for finals, but I finally have a better idea of what I want to do for my 2nd and now 3rd parts.

I hope you enjoy this 2nd part.

When I went to each cage, each dragon was responsive to my actions.  They knew what I was trying to do and did not see me as a threat.  The only dragon I was apprehensive about was the Speed Stingers.  Strangely enough they responded to me the same as the other dragons did, but understandably I knew why they are so friendly.  My treatment towards these dragons probably pale in comparison to how the Berserkers are treating them.

I am surprised I have not been spotted yet, as I have taken nearly ten minutes to unlock each cage door and let each dragon out.  Since, I knocked out the guard that patrolled the dragon cage area, every other guard was guarding the entrance and exit points from the other side of the cavern.  As far as I can tell, I came from the east, the cavern opens to the west, and there are two entryways on the north and south sides of the pier.  More attention was being spent on the soldiers and vikings coming off the ships and going on other ships.

Planning a plan, I then done did do the plan.

I walked back over to the cage holding the blue Thunderdrum.  Knowing I have trained a Thunderdrum, I felt confident I could at least befriend another; as I have done with Ali’s.  I opened the cage door and held out my hand.  Closing my eyes, I waited.  Within a few seconds I received my answer.  The blue Thunderdrum raised his head up to meet my hand.

Okay, now I have a friend to help me get out of this situation.

“I wonder if getting Shocker here to fire is the same way with Fredrick?” I thought.  “Yes, I just named him.”

The next part in my plan is: Escape.

What better way to do that than just walk out the front door; or in this case, “fly out the backdoor.”  Walking to each cage, I let out each dragon.  I had all the dragons follow me to the western edge of the dragon cages.  I am still surprised none of the guards or soldiers have spotted us.  They must be preoccupied.  Although, the dragons escaping is the last thing on their mind.

I figured out a plan.  Sirena will stay with me so I can make sure she escapes; however, I will need her somewhere else at the start.  I will have all the dragons fly out to safety while Shocker and I create the diversion.  Sirena will cover their escape.

Sirena being pretty good with signals, at least from me -Annabeth being obviously better with her-, I signaled her to lead all the dragons out in a mad dash to the exit.  It would be up to her to communicate to the other dragons to leave this place.  All the dragons looked tired, some looked exhausted probably from the treatment they have received, but at the notion of escaping this place, they all looked raring to go.  Sirena started flying in place, waiting for the others to do so as well.  I eased myself on Shocker, who is not used to a rider on his back, to be ready for our part in the plan.

Sirena and the dragons flew out of the cavern and kept flying west to escape.  All the soldier and Berserkers stopped what they were doing to start and yell at the dragons.  Right as the Berserkers were going to start to bark orders to recapture them, I took that as my cue.

Encouraging Shocker into the air, I yelled out to the Berserkers, “Yo, Berserker dudes!  There is still one dragon to be caught.  Hey, I’ll even through in a rider… Me!  But first you’ll have to catch me.”

According to plan, they all turned their attention to me and Shocker.  All Berserkers… well, I guess not all Berserkers… may be stronger and slightly more coordinated than Outcasts, but nearly every Berserker can be just as dumb.  Hari’s men on the other hand, are not as dumb but still have the other qualities of Berserkers and Outcasts combined.

Without a saddle on Shocker, it was just as difficult to guide him as it is to stay on him.

I thought, “I need to practice riding Fredrick without a saddle.  In this sense, I’ve gotten a little soft or lazy.”

This area being a port, they are not equipped to defend against an airborne attack, or diversion in this case.  So, they could do little to hinder me and Shocker.  I saw Sirena flying guard over the exit, amber blasting anyone who dared to get close to her.

Shocker and I simply avoided their spear attacks.  They do have a few crossbow net launchers, but flying up as high as we are, we are staying well out of range.  I continued to guide Shocker further back into the cave to draw in the soldiers.  Within just a minute or two, all the dragons are well on their way to escaping.  Now to make my way back over to Sirena.  Shocker speedily flew over the soldiers.  Then without even my command, Shocker instinctively fired at the masts of every ship in the docks.  Each mast broke or split in two.

         I called out, “Wasn’t my idea… but I approve.”

Shocker and I made our way out of the cavern as well.

“Just one more thing I need from your, Shocker,” I replied.

I then signaled to Sirena to fly home.

“Don’t worry, Sirena,” I said.  “That is where I am going.  I’ll get Annabeth.”

With that, Sirena flew off towards the southeast.  I required Shocker’s services to quickly get me back over to where I thought Annabeth might be.

First though, I flew back over to where I left Throst.  He was still in there.

“I see you still haven’t moved, you didn’t have to wait for me,” I said, jokingly.

All Throst could reply was a moan as the gag was still in his mouth.  I switched helmets and the tunic I borrowed.

“See, I wasn’t stealing your gear,” I stated.

Walking out of the barrack, I sighed, “Much better.  Sometimes one doesn’t realize the comfort you have with one’s own gear until you don’t use it for a while, even if it is just a little bit.”

A few minutes later, Shocker and I arrived at a southcentral location.  I had seen this area before, but only in passing while on my way to rescue my friends the other day.  This area is a large, open, outdoor arena.  Looks to like island business was once held in this arena.  Annabeth seemed to have some business to take care of, so I thought this would be the best place for it.

I had Shocker land some fifty yards south of the arena.  I then dismounted him and told him to fly to freedom.

“Go on, Shocker,” I said.  “Fly off.  Go on.”

         The blue Thunderdrum hesitated.

“I’ll be alright,” I replied.  “I don’t think you want to be recaptured.  Go on, I’m sure we’ll see each other again.”

Shocker looked out to the open see and then back to me.  He gave a slight roar, not very loud, and then bowed his head again to me.  I nodded back and Shocker then flew off.

Turning back around to the north, “Now to get Annabeth.”

Making my way through the forest, there is an eerie feeling of “being alone” that I did not like.  It is as if someone is watching me.  But if I stopped, I did not hear anything, which doubly made me feel hesitant.  However, nothing would keep me from Annabeth.

When I arrived at the arena, it is deathly still right now.  No wind.  No birds.  No nothing.  With an island that used to be teeming with Berserkers, where did they all go?  I thought Dagur was looking for me?

The outdoor arena is more or less in a hole, so to see in the arena I climbed a tree nearby.  Once in the tree, I picked a sturdy and thick enough branch to hold my weight and then scanned the area.

When an area looks like there is nobody around, my dad always says, “That usually means there is somebody around.  What or whoever it is, trust your gut.”

My gut is telling me I am not alone.  Not only that, but I am positive there are a ton of soldiers around.  They are just waiting for something.  Although, something is telling me, I might not necessarily be the one they are after.  Why would I say that?  Because I just saw Hari and his men surrounding the arena.

“I think there is more to this then just a tiff between me and Dagur… and the supposed ‘break up’ between Annabeth and me,” I thought.

“What do you mean there is a break up,” I heard Annabeth.

I simply replied, “Well, I mean that you showed Dagur that… What are you doing here?”

         “Capturing you,” she answered.

“What?” I asked, taken off guard; Annabeth is right above me in the same tree.

“Well, I said things were going to be different the next time we met,” Annabeth stated.

“How different?” I questioned, turning around as she dropped down to my branch.

“This different,” she said by drawing her sword and pointing it at me.

“Oh, yeah,” I responded.  “Being captured.”

Annabeth stopped me before I could get down on the ground, “Yes it will be different, but now I can actually tell you what’s going to happen.  Dagur is getting skittish and is wanting to leave this island.  We need to censored him into leaving.  The faster the better.”

“I think I know how,” I said.  “Do you see Hari’s men?”

Pausing for a second, she replied, “Yes, I do.  What’s your angle?”

“We cause Hari’s men to turn on Dagur,” I suggested.  “Then, in the confusion, you tell Dagur to, ‘Save himself,’ while you fend off me and Hari’s men… much like Hiccup did, back in the day.”

“Sounds like a good plan,” Annabeth replied.

Annabeth led me into the arena to bring out Dagur.  Dagur started to come over, but Hari’s men did in fact attack.  The Berserkers were coming out of their hiding spots when Annabeth and I came in.  Hari’s men followed them in and attacked.

“What is going on?!” demanded Dagur, as one of Hari’s men rushed him; all Dagur did, without even looking, is put out his hand, the guy ran into it, and Dagur shoved him back out of the way.

Chaos between the Berserkers and Hari’s men ensued.   Annabeth and I are not on Hari’s side, but Hari is not on Dagur’s side.  So, the enemy of your best friend’s brother is your friend… or acquaintance.

“Hari’s men in turning on us, brother,” Annabeth declared.

“I have had it with his men!” yelled Dagur

I picked up a sword, which one of Hari’s men dropped and rushed Dagur.  Lunging at Dagur, I was blocked by a shield Annabeth had picked up with her right hand.

“Dagur,” Annabeth said as I started to lightly engage with her.  “As far as I’m concerned, the deal is off with Hari.  Escape with your men and cut our losses.  I’ll hold off, so you can escape.”

“Are you sure, sister?” question Dagur.

“Yes, Dagur,” Annabeth responded.  “Wouldn’t you do the same for me?  Go!”

I glanced at Dagur.  He looked like he did not want to leave.  Does he really care for Annabeth?  Dagur did in fact leave.  If I were him, I would not have left.

“Now that he left, what do we do?” I asked.

“You drop your weapons,” demanded a voice from behind.

         It is Throst.

Annabeth replied, “Why should we do that?”

“Because without Dagur and his men,” a voice from the side came, which I recognized to be Hari’s.  “You two do not have any allies to come to your aid… even if they are Berserkers.”

For a second, Annabeth and I were ready to defend ourselves.  But then thought better of it.  With the Berserkers retreating, all who are left now is Hari’s men.

“Maybe, letting Dagur go was a bad idea,” I declared.

Annabeth sighed and lowered her weapon, “Oh, he was planning to bail anyway.  I heard him talking when he was away from me.”

“Enough of the chit-chat,” commanded Hari.

Hari then had Annabeth and I split up; a certain solider with the looks of higher ranking, grabbed us.

“What are you doing?!” yelled Annabeth.  “Let me go!”

I struggled too, yet I saw it is not getting either of us anywhere; so, I stopped.

“Of all the years searching for it, you and your friends, Jarl, find it in just a couple days,” stated Hari.

I asked, “What are you talking about?”

“Oh, excuse me,” Hari said.  “You don’t even know what it is you found on that ship.  But I know you have it”

“Well, you are not going to get anything out of us,” retorted Annabeth.

“I did not intend to get anything from you,” Hari said.

“Let.  Me.  Go!” Annabeth again demanded.  “Do you not know who I am?”

Throst came over and grabbed Annabeth’s hair; this made me abruptly struggle to get free, “Oh we know exactly who you are.  But do you?”

I whaled at Throst, “Get you dirty hands off of her!”

         “Throst, that’s enough,” enforced Hari.

Throst let her go as Hari walked over to Annabeth and grabbed her chin, “Sure you are a Berserker, but you are much more than that.”

Annabeth jerked her chin away from him, “I’m not going to tell you anything.”

“I wasn’t expecting you to,” Hari responded.  “That job falls to Jarl.”

Annabeth pleaded, “Do not tell him what he wants, whatever he wants.
“Again, I don’t intend to ask you…,” Hari said.  “I intend to ask, Jarl.  Take her away!”

Annabeth went with them, but made it difficult for them to take her along.

“Where are you taking her?!” I demanded.

“You, don’t get to ask the questions here,” Hari replied.  “Plus, it doesn’t matter.  What does matter is…,” he paused so he could get in my face, “Where is the Dragon Eye and where is that lens?!”

Backstory on how Viking Name found/trained Dragon Name: Anna and Anora found each other on Dragon Island or really Anora found Annabeth.Anora found Annabeth On Dragon Island with her family she studied Annabeth's family really closely and took a shine to her. When Ana was one she started to slowly reveal herself like coming in at night, when her mom saw the dragon she screamed causing her to accidently scratch her cheek. Alvin then came in seeing that his wife was about to k.ill the dragon he stopped her and told her to look what Anna was doing which was gently petting Anora's horn. On her second birthday Alvin said that they could keep her.  A year afterward they were attacked by Berserkers and Alvin told Anora to do what ever it took to take care of her. One thing to make clear: I REALLY LOVE DRAGONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My background story for my main OC

Backstory: Sonora was a very exciting girl. She was just a toddler when she learned of Dragon Fighting. She was five, and didn't understand anything. But she went along with it. Soon, a terrible storm hit, her parents were putting her and her two year old sister into the cellar to stay safe, when a huge wave of flood from the ocean threw down the door and washed away the house, as well as the crate where she, her sister Elira, and all the supplies in their (an axe, food for a week, fresh water, rope, swords, bow and arrow, other Viking stuff, spare change of clothes for everyone in the family, blankets, flint and steel, and a yak hair tent) were washed away to sea. Her parents most likely drowned, and although they couldn't swim, Sonora turned out to be a natural. Soon lulled to sleep by the waves, she curled her sister toward herself and slept. In the morning, as the sun shined into the crate, Sablie saw a remote island not far away. She jumped out of the box, this being a mistake for she didn't expect the ocean water, grabbed the side of the box, and kicked her legs with all her might, holding on for dear life. She paddled in the direction of the island, and got to the shore. Slowly placing the tent far up the shore like her parents taught her, she made quite a cozy home. Starting a fire with flint and steel and driftwood, she took some meat she found in the crate, and cooked it, and mashed up part of it for Elira, who was now crying. Cradling her and feeding her the meat, Elira slowly went to sleep. What she didn't realize is that the crying had attracted a dragon. When she heard a roar, she ran outside with a lightweight sword to defend herself and sister. When she got outside, she saw a rare Sand Wraith. It stood outside, cocking its head at the tent. Sablie dropped her sword as she was shaking terribly. The dragon looked at her, and nuzzled his nose to her. Looking the dragon in full eyes, she didn't see evilness. She just saw warmness. Reaching out her hand, the dragon touched it with his nose. Hugging the dragon and crying, she fell asleep under his wing. She woke up around noon, and found no sign of the dragon. Thinking it was a dream, she gathered the rest of the supplies and took them into the tent when she heard the beating of wings behind her. It wasn't a dream after all! The dragon slowly dropped what he had in his claws, which were fish! Food! Sonora smiled and hugged the dragon. The dragon bent down and extended his wing for her. Un surely, she climbed onto his back, and he took OF on a calm flight around the island. She returned to find her sister crying again, and shushed her gently. After cooking the fish, she mashed more for her sister and gave the dragon his share too. That night the dragon didn't leave the tent, and slept next to it, keeping it warm. After a few days, they moved to a clearing near a spring, with lots of saplings. Using the axe, Sablie cut a big wood pile by the house. Every day at the rise of the moon she went flying with the Sand Wraith, and that is why she named him Moonrise.
When she was seven and her sister was four, she was scouting in the wilderness for any deer she could hunt, when she stumbled against a d.ead Razorwhip and four eggs. She kneeled down and felt each of the eggs, and she couldnt feel a heart beat in the first three. In the fourth one though, she could feel a faint heart beat. She took all four eggs home anyway, and when she came to the tent where Elira was rolling in the sand with Moonrise and cooking lunch, she felt an egg shake. Calling her sister over, she set the egg down in front of her sister, and the egg completely split apart. A baby Razorwhip fell out, and Elira immediately fell in love with her. Naming the baby Razwhipway, the two haven't been seperated since. The rest of the eggs never hatched, though Sablie didn't give it up until a week later, when she broke them in half to use as bowls.     (I included this part of the story because it means a lot to me, and helps understand the ending better)
Sonora was ten and Elira was seven, when a bad storm hit. The next morning, Sonora steeped out of the wooden shack she built to find her beach much destroyed. Calling her sister and Razwhipway (who was now a broad wing) to help clean up when she saw a peculiar sight. A shiny pink body was laying on the beach. It was a Tide Glider. She was a beauty. Calling Moonrise to help her, she pulled the Tide Glider into the yard (which was pretty much beach). When the poor dragon woke up, she looked around, then finally, deciding we weren't a threat, spit at herself. Everyone started in shock at the dragon. She whipped around and looked at us. Her wounds were gone, and we couldn't stop staring (even Moonrise and Razwhipway). Sonora slowly approached her with a sea bass. Not taking her eyes of Sablie, the dragon ate, and accepted a green plant dragons seem to like. After that, she stared at Sablie, and slowly reached out to touch her hand. Sundance was named for the way she danced in the sun, in the mornings. There were now three dragons living with them.
It had been a year since peace was brought to Berk from the dragons, although Sonora didn't know it. She was fourteen years old, and now even Razwhipway could fly. They used hand made saddles from deer skin and boar tusks with wild dyes. Sablie was flying Moonrise around the islands, when she noticed a black dragon that she had never seen before. She of course, knew most of the dragons on her island, and this was one she had never seen. Munching on an apple, she decided to make friends and find out the full look. This dragon was faster than Moonrise, which was a surprise since he was the only Sand Wraith and fastest dragon on the island. She landed where she saw the black dragon land, but was shocked! There was a rider standing next to the dragon saying "This is a new island bud. Do you sense any trouble?" The black dragon snorted, and turned in her direction, where she was concealed behind the trees. The Dragon walked over to the trees now, and pushed Sablie over so she fell in the riders view. He looked as shocked as her. He looked at her and said "Hello, we are friends and don't want to hurt you,". Sablie was scared as she was the time she saw Moonrise for the first time. "Who are you," she managed to say "What do you want from my island," The stranger looked at her and said " My name is Hiccup, and we are not going to take anything from this island. We will help you if you want us to",. Feeling she could trust him, she told him her story, and about Moonrise, who was happily playing with the Black dragon, who looked surprisingly like Moonrise. Afterward she brought him to the shack, where he met Elira, Razwhipway and Sundance, and he told them about Berk. "I think we used to live on Berk, at least that is what mommy said," said Sablie, "But how? I thought Berk fought dragons,". So Hiccup told her about the peace, and Toothless. Finding that they did want to go back to Berk, Hiccup stayed the night, then helped them to Berk, and helping them build a good big Viking hut with stables and get fresher weapons. They had lived peacefully at Berk ever since.

A long time ago, I had some inspiration when Harold and Jarl met for the first time.  That was like 20 chapters ago when I wrote that.  I have been trying to lead to a moment to add it, and I finally have.  I slightly changed a few things, because this is the second official meeting between Jarl and Harold.  So I changed it accordingly.  So adding that was nearly half the chapter and transitioned to what I wanted to end on quite well.

I have a very good idea what and how I want to end the story, so I am now more likely to get that posted as early as tonight.  However, I do have some homework I need to get done for tomorrow's classes.  But with tomorrow being my last day before my fall break, I can for sure get it posted Thursday Night.

I may or may not do an epilogue/introduction to Book 5, but the 3rd part will end On the Edge of Mystery.  It could possibly be a longer chapter, but not long enough to create another part or chapter.

(As you can probably tell, I really wanted to end the book on the 35th chapter.  XD )
