Jason was, understandably, not in a good mood.  "Hate to break it to you," he snapped sarcastically, ignoring the guards' warning growls, "but this isn't a tabletop RPG, nor is it Star Wars, nor is it Middle Earth!  What makes you think that your sci-fi fantasy knowledge is anything more than just that:  fantasy?!  I don't know where we are, but we're obviously in a real place where only real knowledge is useful!  If you honestly expect that-"

What he had been saying was suddenly cut off with a sharp cry of pain as the guard behind him stabbed Jason with his spear.  The head hadn't punctured dangerously deep, but Jason could feel the blood seeping into his shirt below the wound.

They proceeded in silence for a while, then Jason, with a soft sigh, looked over at Kaia.

"Look, I'm sorry.  I shouldn't have said that.  It's just..." he sighed again, "this really hasn't been my day."

A small smile began to grow on Elijah's face at Jason's outburst towards this new girl. But immediately turned to hate as he heard the other male's cry, sending a furious glare towards the guard that silenced him. He slowed his pace down to let Jason walk in front of him, walking backwards himself to face the guard with a standoff-ish expression. Shortly spinning on his heel after as Jason let out an apology.

"Actually, I think it was reasonable... Cause now I'm starting to question where you found the time to learn to fly a plane between your fantasy games. I mean I'm assuming you're a pilot, you dress like one" he mused, a snarky stare and a tilted head towards the girl who just spewed out nonsense about orcs and goblins. As much as these creatures perhaps look like them, how could she simply put numbers on it and expect it to be that simple.

Kaia glared at the boys in a way that would send even a fully grown male Bronze dragon, one of the largest types, running for cover.

"Got a problem with nerds there you utreekov (idiot in Mando'a)? I've been playing D&D since I was in grade school and I'm the DM for my unit's club! I've read Lord of the Rings a thousand times - all three books PLUS the Hobbit! Do you know how hard it is to learn Elvish from just a few scraps of the language and the lousy websites you find on the internet?! My first day here, I befriend a dragon! A DRAGON! I've spent thousands of hours studying everything from flight mechanics to e5 gaming rules and regulations!" Kaia snapped back, still shooting eyeball daggers at the boys as the orcish creatures laughed.

"I like dis one! She got spunk!" One guard commented to his boss with a pleased grin and a (somewhat) friendly thump on Kaia's back that made her stumble

Keren sniffed the sour air, rolling her eyes at the loud bickering behind her. She stopped for a second, squinting at a faraway sight. There seemed to be a large silver keyhole at the end of one of the stone hall. Her eyesight was getting worse, she noted to herself with a frown.

"Move it!" Jix shouted, pricking her back with the spear making her convulse for a second. "We don' work to stan' around waitin' for ye'." She growled, but kept walking.

Right before walking up the keyhole, they came to a huge birdcage. Inside roamed a large birdlike beast similar to those that had attacked them earlier. But now it wore a huge metal plate covering it's eyes and had a plumage.

Jix stuck his hand into the cage, grabbing a different key that hang from the spike on its beak. The creature screeched, trying to bite his fingers.

"Yer feisty today, aren't ye?" He cackled, sticking his spear into the creature's feathers. Keren frowned. It seemed like not only were they aggressive, they weren't kind to their animals either.

Jix stuck the key in the keyhole, and shoved the stone wall open. Keren had thought that this entire castle would be bleak and dirty. But when the wall revealed the next room, she found her jaw hitting the floor. They had arrived at what looked like the throne room. Marble walls stood tall and grand, limestone pillars supporting the white painted ceiling. In the middle of the room was the throne, crafted of deer antlers. And sitting on the throne was a regal figure. She was dressed in fine red robes that complemented her sun colored hair. A red tattoo had been etched under her left eye, though Keren did not know what it symbolized.

She turned her gaze to the prisoners, amber eyes sharp and cold.

"Yer Maj--" Jix began to say, bowing low. But he was interrupted when the figure raised a bony, yet young finger. Jix and the other guard bowed again, retreating to the shadows just behind the four pilots.

"So.." She drawled. "What brings humans into my kingdom?"

"Maybe I should play spokesperson here....I know the most about how fantasy royalty works. If this world is anything like Dungeons and Dragons or some combination of that with Lord of the Rings, I know how to handle this. That, and I've been taking lessons on world politics back home since my Mum works in the government." Kaia hissed to the others, not wanting to be disrespectful to the Queen by talking louder than that with her companions.

Jason called to mind all he could remember hearing and reading about proper etiquette in the presence of royalty.  Tired and still quite annoyed at the whole situation, he considered forgetting all about it and being as obnoxious as he possibly could, just to give this queen and her court a taste of what he was feeling.  His better sense finally won out, however, and with some effort, he wiped the frustrated scowl from his face.

Choosing to ignore Kaia's suggestion, he stepped forward and awkwardly made a polite, non-worshipful bow, his body unfamiliar with the motion.  As he did so, he grimaced, feeling the wound on his back, which had finally begun to close, begin to drip blood again.  However, Jason schooled his expression, and, finishing the bow, stood at attention.

"Y-your, uh, High- Majesty?" he began hesitantly, internally scolding himself for his terrible public speaking skills. "I-if you please, I -er, we- weren't aware this was anyone's kingdom.  I, uh, don't even know where this" he gestured all around helplessly,  "is.  As for how we got here, I don't know that, either.  One minute I was flying in the thin air, and the next, I was waking up in a forest clearing!  What brings us here is nothing but random chance.

"And this is how you treat guests seeking shelter for the night?!" Jason suddenly snapped, the fatigue and emotional strain finally overcoming him, the change in his tone as marked as the difference between midnight and midday.  "By taking them prisoner?!  Even though they did not wittingly do anything wrong?!" There was a hard, cold spark in his eyes, and they glared straight into the seated figure's, challenging her as he spoke.

"Queen or not, you have no right!  I would expect royalty" he spat the word off his tongue like the bitterest poison, "to at least have a basic level of decency! Of fairness!  We were never even given the remotest chance to explain ourselves, let alone a trial!

"This is outrageous!  This is..." Jason suddenly faltered, his bravado disappearing like a cloud of breath on a winter's day.

Oh no, he thought, trembling, what have I done?!

Elijah studied the composure of the creature they stood before, taking slow limping steps towards Jason as he began to lose his own composure. Putting his hands on his shoulders and slowly pulling him back to the others, taking Jason's previous spot and staring at the supposed Queen. His stance took on the "spoiled rich kid" persona he grew up with, just barely holding back a glare as he went to speak.

"You have to understand, that we're not from around here. This is the first time we've seen any creature of myth in our lives. But seeing as you are aware of humans, you must know that when fatigued, we can be a bit rash in our words" he spoke, clear and emotionless, back straight and head held high to keep the creatures full attention.

"But you, are currently not in a state a panic, or confusion, or fear. You are not currently, nor recently, in a world you lack any understanding of. So what's your excuse for being rash? Or is tossing people resting on mountains a common practice here?" He addressed, speaking of his own experience as he wasn't too sure how the others ended up in here. Although he wished to say more, he stopped it there, not giving the supposed Queen any indication of a bow or anything of the like. Acting almost royal himself instead.

The queen stood up from her throne, the corners of her lips twitching up to reveal a smile... Or something more sinister.

"You're confused." She said at last."That is not your fault. You're not even from here, by the looks of it. But you clearly need proper schooling of your tongue." Her eyes flashed dangerously.

Keren cleared her throat awkwardly. 'Nice going!' She wanted to hiss at the boys, but held her tongue.

The Queen made her way down to the merry group, judging them from every angle. The ruler stopped at their feet, looking down at them like they were mere ants in her presence.

"I'm sorry, I've been rude!" She said, voice dripping with the fakest sweet talk Keren had ever heard. "It seems we haven't been properly introduced to each other. It seems only appropriate that I share my title first, hmm? I am Queen Katren of the North." Keren growled under her breath. This was becoming increasingly difficult to stay poised.  "Like we'll share our names!" She yelled."I don’t care if you're a queen, you're a tyrant! Caging us up and capturing us like that. I'd rather spit at your feet!"

Queen Karen glared at her, then signaled Jix. "As much as I would love to punish you myself and hear you scream, you're not worth any of my time. Jix, send them back to the dungeons. Let them rot there forever."

Kaia felt an irk mark growing on her brow, sidestepping the guards to speak to Queen Katren of the North. If this was the north, then there was a southern kingdom. She figured she could at least try to make up for the idiocy of her companions. She stood at proper military attention (as best she could given her chains) before addressing the queen.

"Forgive us your grace, we've had a bit of a rough time since we got here. Aside from what we would consider of your kind as "fantasy" in our world, we don't know much about the rules here. Apparently, I'm the only one here who knows anything about the wonders of the Fae. However, in our realm, we have stories of giving our names freely. Some say your kind can control us with our names, so that's why we're hesitant in introducing ourselves." Kaia told the Queen, figuring she might as well reveal some but not all of her knowledge of Fae creatures. She made a mental note to thank the Dungeons and Dragons writers for being so thorough.

Queen Katren turned around when Kaia began to speak. Keren held her breath, amazed and worried that her friend was talking when Katren had turned her backs on them.

"Oh?" The ruler said, sitting back down on her throne. "Is that so? Another realm. How interesting. Yet that does not change the actions of your friends over there. As brave as you were to speak without my consent, it seems I shall still keep you as my pets. Wouldn't that be funny?"

Jix and his buddy took that as a signal to tie them up again. He strengthened their bonds, and with a malicious grin, sparked up his spear again.

When they had all been crammed back into the dungeon door, the last thing that Keren saw was Katren's burning eyes.

Kaia felt her face go red with embarassment. It certainly knocked her down a few pegs in the arrogance department. That was for sure. She let the guards usher her back into the dungeon door, her wrists bound in front of her this time. She was mentally kicking herself for being so forward. Of course that dratted Queen wouldn't let them go so easily! Ugh, she was worse than Megatron! Then again, if she ever met the Cybertronian warlord, he'd probably be insulted by that comparison. No, Starscream would be a better comparison for Katren's personality. That was for sure. She was just as stuck up as he was, no matter his incarnation in the Transformers timelines!

"Ugh, remind me to turn that witch into something to feed to my pet cat, will you Keren..." Kaia grumbled to her Wingman, glancing at her with a dejected look on her face as she recovered from her embarassment.

As the door of his cell clanged to, Jason gave a heavy sigh.  "That certainly went well," he groused wearily, scowling after the guards as they exited the prison chamber.   "Dec, next time I get it in my head to do that in this state, just smack me."

Thoroughly exhausted, he made his way over to the pile of... some kind of straw, he supposed, and sat heavily but carefully down.  He didn't want to open the wound on his back again.  Looking around, Jason noticed the narrow shaft of moonlight was now much narrower, a mere silver ribbon, and fell gleaming across the floor rather than the bars.  He sighed again, softly this time, and carfully stretched out on his side in the straw.  Though it was not a comfortable bed by any means, exhaustion makes such things unnoticable.

As his eyes slipped closed, Jason, to no one in particular, mumbled "How are we ever going to get out of this mess?"

Elijah sighed and hummed then looked around the cell for an escape, looking over all the bricks and bars for anything that could be of use. Slowly going through each bar and wiggling them for any lose ones, then going back through it again to double check. Seeing they were all fairly tight, he moved onto the brick walls, pushing on ones that seemed lose, but just like the bars, nothing budged. Well, that and he started giving up on his own accord. Mostly thinking about what he would do if he did actually get out, if any of them got out. He limped over to the wall and sat down, glancing at Jason and remembering all the pain he showed when walking, and the other girls didn't seem to be in that great of shape of either. He sighed quietly again and thought about the creatures some more, more particularly what weapons they used, and how it could of even existed.

'I've gotta still be dreaming....' He thought to himself, despite everything he saw, he really didn't want to believe any of it. Pulling his knees up and resting his elbows on them to keep his head up as he continued to lazily look around.

"I don't know what we're going to do" He mumbled.

Keren nodded. "Yeah, yeah, sure. I hope your cat's doing alright by the way. I can't wait to leave this he--" Her curse was caught in the middle of her throat. Jix glared at her with hard eyes, and Keren did not feel like having a spear in her back.

She sighed, and slumped back on the wall of the cell, and looked at the hay on the ground. "You know what, I think I'm just gonna hit the hay now. Night."

Keren lay down to sleep, not even bothering to sleep on the only available cushion.

Kaia sighed, letting herself be shoved into the cell with her chains removed along with the others. She leaned against the wall of the cell, looking at the shaft of moonlight through the barred window. She figured she had Fae folk figured. The Queen was clearly an elf of some sort. She'd never thought she'd get to encounter one in real life, and here she was, the prisoner of one of the bad ones.

"Well...at least she's not a Drow or we'd be in the torture chambers right now...." Kaia mused, glancing at the boys as they were shoved in, leaving Keren to rest for now.

Keren cracked open one eye, than the other. It was definitely nighttime, no doubt about it. She could right gleaming dots of stars contrasted against the dark blue and purple sky from outside the window. The pilot sat up, burying her face in her hands, and feeling rather defeated.

 Thunk. Thunk. Thunk.

Keren raised her head again, confused as to what was making that noise. The pilots around her were all asleep as far as she could tell, so they couldn't be making that noise. She stood up, and looked out the window. Nothing.

She frowned, and was about to sit down before the noise started back up again. She lolled her head back in annoyance, all she wanted was to sleep. Was that too much to ask for?

But this time when she looked back out the window, there was something. A face. Glowing milky white eyes stared back at her, a sharp toothed smile to go with.

"FOUND YOU!" The person spoke, and Keren stumbled back in surprise.

Kaia looked up at the new voice and yelped in surprise, seeing someone at the window.

"Who the heck are you?!" Kaia asked, looking between Keren and the window

"Who the heck are you?!" Keren heard Kaia yelp. The person didn't respond. She just kept grinning.

"Hey, boss." She said, turning her head to the side. "We got em'. All four. Except I think two of them are dead." She turned her head back to stare at the still sleeping bodies of Jason and Elijah. Keren hated the idea of there being a "boss".

"Who are you?" Keren asked. The figure just grinned. "No one. Except a no one by the name of Cersei. And Cersei is the name of no one."

Jason snapped to wakefulness at Kaia's cry.  Groggily, he shifted so he could more easily look around, and mumbled "W-what?  What's happening?"

Still somewhat stiff, though not nearly as much as earlier, he slowly sat up on the straw pile. "K-Karen? Kaia? W-what's going on?"

Elijah turned in his sleep, curling up into a ball as the sound of voices continued. Eventually, he opened his eyes and stared at the wall in front of him, listening to the conversation happening behind him. He gathered the deepest was Jason's voice, the other two he had a little troubles deciphering between, but knew it was Keren and Kaia, but the odd talking of the last caused his eye brows to knit together. Slowly sitting up and looking to the others with a confused stare, following their confusion towards the window of the cell to see another person. From what he gathered, everyone stated their confused questions, so he opted to just stay silent and stare.

Keren's only emotion for the past few minutes was shock. She had determined, however, that the person in the window was an elf with periwinkle skin. Weird. And apparently, her name was Cersei.

Cersei the elf took a quick glance at Elijah and Jason, saying, "Oh, good, you're not dead after all." And in one, fluid motion, she slipped her thin body through the window.

Keren looked up at the ceiling, dazed and confused.

"It's safe, guys." Cersei yelled out the window. If she was going for stealth, she was very discreet. But that wasn't the pilot's primary thought. It was why five more elves were slipping like sleek felines through water into their cells.

Kaia stared at the ponited ears of the elves. She couldn't help it. After getting a blow from trying to deal with Fae based on her Dungeons and Dragons knowledge, she was still trying to process that things were different here than in Faerun.

"Uh....so...what kind of elves are you?" Kaia asked, figuring she shouldn't make assumptions like she made the mistake of doing with Queen Katren. She figured they were probably a variant of wood elves or something, judging by the skin tones. Definitely not Drow, too fair skinned. Drow were typically described as shades of obsidian to charcoal in skin tone at the palest.

Jason was dreadfully confused.  Again, more clearly and loudly this time, he asked, "What's going on?"  Then,  "Who are you?" not having caught the strange figure's name.  Wait, just how had he... or, it? gotten in, anyway?  The cell doors were still fast shut, and the window slits were too narrow for anyone of normal human proportions to slip through.  Yet there the figure who spoke, and five other similar... whatever they were, stood.  Jason also noticed that they appeared to cast a very faint light, though whether it came from their clothes, their skin, or something else could not be ascertained.

Elijah hummed quietly to himself as he stood up, watching as the elves slipped into their cell with ease, as if the bars didn't exist to them. Still, he stayed quiet, more trying to take in the attire of the elves that stood in front of them. Trying to figure out if these ones were on their side, or if they were simply just stealing prisoners to anger a certain queen. He didn't have a lot of faith in any of the creatures they've encountered, so his trust for these elves was fairly low. But now he compared his trust to the elves he first encountered, concluding he much rather side with the elves in front of them than the latter.

Cersei grinned. "Ah! It looks like the whole company has arrived." She was still the most smiley and energetic looking from her group, who were stone faced and serious. "This is Hamish, Lilith, Iverdan," She gestured to her colleagues. "And of course, our leader, Ceraan." A tall elf who was supposedly their leader stood out from the crowd as she spoke, looking even harsher than the rest.

The elf named Hamish parted his lips in a stiff smile, saying, "We are the Hornwing elves, and it's been our duty to break you out of this prison."

"Wait, Hornwing elves? I don't think I've ever heard of them." Kaia admitted, rubbing the back of her head. She wasn't sure, but they looked sort of familiar...weird...where had she seen them before? Maybe D&D had a similar species? Maybe not the same stats or rules as she found with the Queen or those brutish Orc wannabe guards...

"Uh, well, thank you," Jason began, a little hesitantly. "But I don't understand.  Why?  And how? Unless you have a key which opens all locks, I don't see how we're getting out of here."  He banged the cell door for emphasis, then added,  "We can't exactly fit through those window slits, either."

Elijah remained silent, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall, waiting for them to reveal just how exactly they were getting out of here. Some ideas had come to mind, but he had no interest in voicing them, instead his attention turned to the creeping footsteps of the guards down the hall. Elijah tipped toed to the barred doors and glanced around, although he wasn't really able to see much, the footsteps started to grow in volume ever so slightly. The white haired male took a few steps back and lightly tapped Jason's shoulder with the back of his hand, then nodded towards the cell door.
