Dragon Tactics: Best Team
I'm curious now; what are the best teams you use for Dragon Tactics, and what is the BEST of the BEST team to have in defeating the final level of the Icestorm Island tactics?
It's already a pain to level your dragon either one at a time through the hourly battles or through the stable quests, etc. but I'm a tad desperate here as I haven't even gotten my first level 50 dragon yet.
But, frustration aside, I want to know what dragon teams you guys use.
My Best team is mostly composed of:
- RotomDex (Titan Skrill Level 50) They are real snipers!
- Willam (Titan Ice Crystal Nadder Level 50) They're probably one of the strongest starter dragon.
- Highlight Blue (Titan Flightmare Level 41) They can ''confuse'' the target and make them unable to attack.
Another of my Best Team:
- RotomDex (Again)
- WaterPool (Titan Thunderdrum Level 46 (soon 50)) They are able to hit many enemies at once with their roar.
- Toothless (Level 50) Probably my strongest dragon
I haven't been able to experiment with different dragons lately but this is my go to team...
They are all titans and I can do all the levels with little to no problem.
I haven't gotten to the end of the levels (I'm on the third last I think) but here's my team:
Earthquake- Lvl 42 Whispering Death
Strike- Lvl 38 Titan Skrill
Orca- Lvl 30 Thunderdrum
The Thunderdrum is a pretty good battle dragon in my opinion. If you use the move that buffs his sonic roar, it does a lot of damage and can hit multiple targets! And the Skrill is just for those long-range snipe shots.
M team consists of Amethyst (Skrill c:), Icebane (Titan Skrill), and my Stormcutter :)
I personally like Skrill’s the most because of their electric jacket which can target many enemies if their right next to the Skrill, and I like the stormcutter because they can heal themselves, and continually heal themselves for like 3 turns.
Soon I am gonna have a whole army of Skrill’s x3
I use a hobblegrunt, skrill and stormcutter.
EZ steamrolling.
I dont know what dragon team would be the best. But my team (monsterous nightmare lv 50, stormcutter lv 50 and woolly howl lv 50) beated the last level 2 times. Its also on the strategy you use. When I have the attention from more then just 2 enemies then I send one of my dragons out as a shield. He is there to dodge the attacks while the other attack from behind.
I haven't got to the last level yet but I did just beat the second to last level and it was super easy. I don't think its the best of the best team but it works for me.
StaticShock - level 47 Titan Skrill
deathself- Level 33 Titan Whispering Death they heal themselves for I think four or five turns? They don't do a lot of damage but it can distract the hunters and dragons from your better dragons.
Phantom - level 50 Titan Flightmare they can stun their enemies almost every turn and they shoot at medium range. Very useful if you want to destroy more than one enemy at the same time.
I tried it with my non titans and their power isn't good enough. However if you have two titans and one non titan it works. If you have only one titan no matter what it is it'll help out a bunch. I also heard Toothless is great at it but I don't have a membership. Play around with differnet dragons and see which team works best for you :) I REALLY want the Deathsong to be in DT so bad.
I mostly use:
CrystalFury (Titan Snow Wraith - lvl 47)
Flash (Titan Sand Wraith - lvl 50)
Blizzard - (Titan Woolly Howl - lvl 46)
But still, I can’t defeat the final level of Icestrom Island Tactics. I have unlocked it (completed all levels before it), but I haven’t done the last one. I’m still trying it though
You can actually beat the last level of the Icestorm Island tactics without having any dragons even close to level 50.
When I beat the level my first time I had a level 12-15 Sandwraith a level 17ish Nadder and that was pretty much it.
The Sandwraith is amazing at censored attacks when you've given it the camouflage powerup or the normal shield. Use the Sandwraith as a shiled for the rest of your team. After that the computer will pretty much always attack the Sandwraith (there are a few exceptions, but very few) so all you'd need is a dragon with medium and long distance attacks, hence the Nadder.
Having said that, the minimum team you'd need is a dragon that is really good at censored attacks (I recommend the Sandwraith) and then the other two should be able to shoot long distance shots. This team will get the job done, but the lower the dragon bond the less powerful so the longer you'll take.
Some of the other teams I've seen look like really good ones, but only because the dragon bond is so high!. Most of the combinations I've seen would probably have a lot more trouble if their dragon bonds were bellow 25. But may favorite team is the Sandwraith with the two of either three of these Nadder/Skrill/Woolly Howl.
Also, if you want to increae your dragon bond, just completing the last level of Istorm Island tactics gives you 400 bond points for all the dragons used in the tactics level. You don't have to complete all the objectives for this to be true, you just have to win.
In terms of which team is best, it really just depends more on how you like to play and what your favorite strategy is. But if you want the best team using the lowest level dragons I stand by my suggestion. Sandwraith (even level 10) and any dragon with long distance attacks.
I hope this helps.
There are two possible ways the enemy lines are set up for the last level and I'm going to show you how I beat both. I use the same tactic always: Use Sandwraith as shield.
Battle 1:
Battle 2:
In both battles my main tactic is to use my Sandwraith as a shield. I shoot to get into that the position I get into in turn 3 in battle 1 (turn 5 in battle 2). After that I'll take risks a I see posible or I can just play it safe and wait for the right moment, because they'll just keep attacking ym Sandwraith who can easily dodge their attacks (if its shield or camouflage are activated).
I will say this, I play very differently noww that my viking and dragons are more powerful. The powerful they are the more resistant they are too, which means I can take more chances in letting them get hit a little so that I can get close enough to devastate the enimy.
Anyway, this has been fun and I hope it helps!
Depends on the circumstances on how advanced the level is. But I'll list my main three.
Hurricane (Titan Skrill) — Used as the Sniper. Usually travels in the back of my pack to pluck out distant foes one-by-one. When cornered, unleashes Electrical Jacket to damage all who come across him. My strongest dragon, but not quite the most durable. That's where he relies on the Healer.
Whipper (Titan W. Death) — Used as the Tank. Travels in front of the pack to take the most damage, while dealing some damage in return with the ingury effect on enemies on the basic bite attack that comes to an advantage. When wounded, and when healer doesn't heal enough, the Tank has a Recover effect to heal a very good portion of health.
Very durable, but not quite the strongest. That's where she relies on the Sniper.
Dolor (Prickleboggle) — Used as the Healer. Because he deals no damage to enemies, he's kept in the back of the pack alongside Hurricane. But with his ability to heal all allies around him, plus a camoflauge boost makes him very useful, even at a low level. Although the lowest level dragon, regeneration can be a problem dealing with higher level foes and takes no damage in return. That's where he relies on my Viking.
zippleback (super good atack)
Thunderdrum (may need to level up, but can hit multiple enemies with it's basic atack)
skrill (long range)
stormcutter (strong and can heal)
No matter what your team consists of I highly reccomend one of them be a prickleboggle. It's primary attack is a medium range heal with aoe and the second is a stronger long range heal.
I have also heard the Tide Glider to be a great dragon.
