Dragon gif edits???
Soooo it's me... again.... with more questions... again. BUT, this should be the last! I'd say I have some free time and I wanted to take my dragon edits to the next step. Which is, ofc, gif edits! Do you need a special app? How does it even work? And a tutorial would always be appreciated or at least like a 'hey Frost! You press this button, not the self-destruct one!' ^^ thanks in advance!
Got Procreate?
I've done it in IbisPaint before, but the first step was harder; Use an online website to split the gif to frames, and save the frames one by one, then insert them as layers in the app before editing them.
It can be done easier in Procreate because you don't have to split a gif to frames and save all frame pictures. Because the app has an animation feature, it uploads the gif and splits the frames automatically.
Honestly I Google "gif to frames" and pick a random link XD To get it back to gif form in IbisPaint is to simply save each layer as a picture one by one, then Google "frames to gif" and use a gif making website to make it a gif again. Such a long journey and RIP if you mess up the order of the frames XD So yeah, the process is much, much easier with Procreate :3
:OOOOOOO
Okay, I'm starting my first one. It's gonna take a LOT of work..
How did you do that? Whenever I try to do so with Procreate, it ends up looking weird XD
Here's a Procreate tutorial!
I've hidden my gallery because it's such a messy place XD
1) Drag the desired gif from Google into Procreate.
(If you can't do that, try to find a way to save the gif into your device. I've tried, but the gif is almost always still, and for some reason I can only save Imgur gifs)
2) Now once the gif is in the app, you'll find that the animation feature is already on. You'll only need it at the end, so go to Canvas and turn off the Animation Assist.
3) Go to Layers and turn off all the visible layers except Layer 1 because you'll be working on them one by one. Make a new empty layer above Layer 1.
4) Recolor it normally then Merge it with the layer below it.
5) Turn on Layer 2, make a new layer and recolor it as well. Repeat this to all other layers :)
6) Once you're done recoloring, turn on the Animation Assist.
7) Go to Share and click on Animated Gif to save it.
And you're done! Hope this helps! :D
No, but I could (very) easily get it if that's what's needed! Please tell me how anyway as IbisPaintX might have similar functions or I will get Procreate :)
