Does dragon level affect TRR performance?

I notice that a dragon's stats are the full adult ones as soon as it hatches. So does this mean my dragons have their full TRR speed/accelleration as soon as they hit level 10? Will a level 1 dragon have it's full racing prowess if I buy it an age up? Is there any point in levelling up your dragons after 10? I did search the forum but I couldn't find a clear answer.

Senpai notice me!

The only thing that level affects TRR that i know of is the increase in your dragon's energy, letting you do more individual races

Good question!

I'm pretty sure it always used to, but it doesn't seem to have any effect for a lot of people any more - to the point where I got mocked recently for suggesting that it did! I tested out my Night Terror in TRR at level 10, 15 and 20. I actually did notice a slight improvement (average time in the same track increased by roughly two seconds by level 20) but that might have been due to my handling of the dragon improving with practise.

It didn't feel that way - my times were very steady and consistent at level 10, all over the shop at 15 (I kept crashing) and improved and resonably consistent again by 20, which suggests to me that I was having to re-learn to handle the dragon at level 15. But other people have also tested out dragons and noticed no difference whatsoever in their performance times from level 10 to level 20.

My advice would be to test out your dragons and see what works for you.

I tested this just now. I had

I tested this just now. I had a level 1 baby Slithersong and I bought an age up for him, tried him out in TRR at level 1 just now...he came 2nd in a race with me vs 3 Snow Wraiths and Vikings with similar gear...so my guess for now would be that no, level does not effect speed/acceleration/handling, unless Slithersongs are very overpowered which I guess is always a possibility, but Slithers have similar stats to the Snow Wraith I think.

Huh.

I guess they changed it when they added age-up tickets. Eh. I don't like it, it takes away part of the point of the game for me, but I suppose if I'd paid gems to age my dragon I'd want it up to full stats straight away.

All dragons show as level 1 in TRR

The fact that eveyone else's dragon displays as "level 1" in TRR is more evidence that level does indeed have no effect on racing. I don't know when age up tickets were introduced, but it makes sense that they made all dragons the same level in thunder run once it was introduced.
