Ive found that the more chapters you have, the more popular the story becomes. I now have 12 chapters in mine and I am finaly starting to get a lot of readers, it is a slow start but like I said above, keep making chapters, and soon you might have more fans. Hope this advice helps!

That is how my Fan-Fic, The Clue of the Missing Socks, started. Hardly anyone read it. But once I kept making chapters, more an more people started to read it. I still get very few replies, but my "reads" for each chapter is average 60 or so "reads" a few days after I post the chapter. It's a slow start for people to reply, believe me I know.

Great. Because I like your story. But believe me, I am busy too. The time I get to work on my own fan-fic is less. However, I do get creative and bring a notebook when I have to travel some where in the car. I start writing my next chapter. I have had to do this quite a lot lately.
Hey guys :) I just wrote the beginning of a story about half-human half-dragons who were kicked out of their thunders (group of dragons) or villages - depending on how you want to play. Basically, I start out with a half-stormcutter and how she got kicked out, and then five other people can submit initial stories; after a bit of back and forth interaction between our characters, other half-blood can join the thunder. So far, I don't have any other role players, so thought I'd post here. :) By the way, I love the first part of the story, but not a big fan after the character change... Maybe explore the first storyline more?
P.S. my storyline is under the title half-blood stories
