Violeta Ungur/Heru the Daemon

"I will admit, I'm a sucker for sugar cerals. So is Violeta. She's got a mega sweet tooth. Don't be surprised if you find her hoarding sweets in her room like a dragon hoards gold!" Heru teased, earning a blush from Violeta.

"I don't hoard sweets!" She protested and it disolved into a sibling bout of "yes you do!" "no I don't!" for at least five minutes

Lorelai -18- |Azul -Dæmon-|

Lorelai ignored Herschell's jest despite the retorts that bubbled up in the back of her throat. She exited his room and traipsed down the stairs, still catching her breath.

Lila quickly based at the base of the stairs and ran her finegrs through her lilac hair, clearing away any sweat that may have gathered along the fringe of her brow. Once she adeuqately preened herself, Lorelai heaved against the door where she noticed Neveah waiting outside.

"Oh, I thought you left." Lorelai gazed at the girl. "Does this mean you are willing to help me?"
While she could sense Azul within a certain radius, it was not specific. If the butterfly wanted to remain hidden, she would have no way of locating him. Furthermore, a part of her hoped that Neve capabilities would be slightly more ranged than her own.

"I don't have much hope, but it is worth a shot. And I can show you a few places where he is more likely to be." Lorelai offered. She sounded more defeated and tired, much too tired to pull her usual quips and mischevious smiles.

Neveah | Drishti

Neve sensed Lorelai coming back long before she actually appeared, so she wasn’t startled by it. But she stayed seated until the girl addressed her.

“Never said I wasn’t willing,” she pointed out as she got up and turned towards her, Drishti climbing up to his usual position. “It’s not like I have much else to do.”

“I don't have much hope, but it is worth a shot. And I can show you a few places where he is likely to be,” Lila offered, sounding more downcast than usual. Neve wasn’t sure how genuine it was though.

“Mhm,” she said, deciding a direct approach was probably best. “You know, I’m getting the impression he doesn’t actually want to be found. Are you two fighting or something?”

“Never said I wasn’t willing,” Neve pointed out as she rose to her feet, her dæmon wrapping himself around her shoulders. “It’s not like I have much else to do.” After a few minutes of pause, Neve made a thoughtful sound. “You know, I’m getting the impression he doesn’t actually want to be found. Are you two fighting or something?”

"Hmm?" Lorelai turned towards Neveah and chuckled, shaking her head. "I don't believe so."

Azul was very nonconfrontational and stubbornly refused to argue with her or fight back, even when she lashed out. Annoyingly, no matter how mad Lorelai was at him, he never seemed to return the anger. Ever. If anything, Lorelai thought he was off somewhere meditating or something equally ridiculous.

She glanced towards Drishti curiously, taking mental note of their apparent extremely close bond. She was not about to pretend that she did not notice the obvious scarring on Neve's eyes and had been quietly wondering the story behind that since they met. She doubted Neveah trusted her remotely enough to tell her, which was fine. Not even Herschell knew the full extent of the story surroudning Lila's mother.

"Shall we go? I am pretty sure Reg and Casper are long gone by now." Lorelai pointed out.

Coronach and Aligerous laughed at the bickering, though they let them fight as they went over to where the food was still being served, noting the obvious evidence of what probably might have been a fight or something. The Orientation ended, but there was still staff taking questions... with the strange humans and their dæmons standing upfront.

"Augh, look at those dæmons." Aligerous pointed out the Doberman Pincher-esque dogs that stood nearly statue still. "I can feel their intensity from here."

"Yea... Is that gonna be us after the school year ends?" Coronach asked, feeling a shiver go down her spine when one of the dogs glanced over at her. "Promise me you'll end up a malamute instead." she looked to the now-fox form Aligerous that padded besides her.

"No promises, though i'd like to be a wolf or a dhole those are nice. I can then finally whistle." he teased, trying to lift the tension from both their minds.

Violeta and Heru soon ended their little bicker fest, joining the others for food.

"So Connie, can I ask what your family life is like? You've seen mine after all." Violeta asked, genuinely curious about her friend's family.

"How did you meet Gregous anyways? You know how Leta and I met." Heru inquired, swiping some meat for himself in his hawk form

"Honestly not as cool as yours. My parents are just... not so thrilled i'm paired with a dæmon," Coronach started, "I have two siblings and a few other family members living with us and.. yea.. that's basically it. As of how I met Gregous..." she looked to the fox to continue.

"We met when I was bored, I found that she was eating snacks and I wanted some. We kinda just sat together, she'd talk outloud about craft or drawing ideas and sometimes i'd add in, I never really talked until we really got close." Aligerous explained

'They were headed to the dorms, I think?' Sika said, trying to remember which way Kriiv had gone. He shook his head. 'I don't know.'

He flew back the way they had come then dropped to the floor in lynx form. 'I can track them by scent? If.. I can find it...'

So far he couldn't detect anything like that of Kriiv or Corsen. Or his own human, for that matter.

Jach, meanwhile, had taken up Sika's job of looking for the source of those drinks. Obviously it was much h.arder now because most of the stuff had been packed up. He watched for anything that could be suspicious, failed that and ended up following a guy carrying a trey with empty glasses on it. When the guy noticed Jach asked him if he had seen a crow, black lynx or black squirrel anywhere, hoping that he hadn't noticed being followed for too long. The guy shook his head and carried on his way, while Jach stayed behind and watched where he went.

Which was to the kitchen, obviously.

Sighing, he wandered towards the dorms.

Aurvang hummed to Sikastan's comment, waiting for him to pick up on something, but being so close to Kriivthi's room, the Lynx is probably only picking up old trails. Instead, the albino snake slithered back to the stairs.

"Well, maybe let's down stairs and see if we catch anything" He cooed, falling off the edge of the floor and shifting to a bat. Now simply gliding down the way until he came close to the first floor, landing on a railing and hanging upside down in waiting for Sika.

Ithiel Rosaire Seaghdha | Valefar

Ithiel brightened when the kid tried pronouncing his name. Their voice was unexpectedly raspy though also squeaky like how children normally sounded like. Upon the mention of daemons however, the kid soured and retreated back into the vent, much to Ithiel’s surprise.

“I wish it didn’t!”

Frozen where he stood, Ithiel replayed the kid’s words in his head. Did they mean… they didn’t want their daemon? Was that it? But why?

“It’s not unheard of,” Valefar spoke up, quiet enough that only Ithiel could hear him, “Though rare, there have been several cases where a bonded pair turns out to be incompatible. I suspect this kid is unfortunate enough to receive such an occurrence.”

“You could’ve chosen a better phrasing,” Ithiel chided, though his words held no bite. It was normal to hear Valefar saying things as it was. In fact, he would be concerned if the daemon did otherwise.

Well, it didn’t matter. Not when he presently had another situation in his hand.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to imply anything. I just reckoned it’s something we have in common.” He inched closer towards the vent, mindful of keeping a sizable distance still. “I’m sorry your relationship with yours is...not the best. But I won’t pry further. So, um,” he fidgeted, wondering if his next course of action was wise, “How about you tell me your name instead? I did introduce myself after all.”

Roku was curling up (as much as she could manage in that tight space) and seem to be closing off the burrow into her ball further the more Ithiel ramble on...until he dropped it and change topic. She looked back up. Took several long second to make a decision. Well he was right, it's only fair. Stupid kid morals in the stupid unmorale world she haphazzardly follow.

"Roku." She said, making eyes contact. She felt...something. Almost like some kind of seal in those kids story she might have come to regret later, names tend to make her feel like that but despite it all. Despite all the running and tricking and hurting she face within the span of the few hours today, a tiny part of her hope this the one good thing she gets today.

Reginald Eason Pierce | Corsen

Seeing as where the last time Corsen had seen Reginald was outside, that was to where the red panda departed. But she was having trouble finding the redhead, which increased her irritation towards him more by the moment. Lifting her red-and-white furred face to smell the air, she was unable to pick up a trail. Even trying to spoor the stench of cigarette smoke did nothing; any traces were stale leftovers from before the orientation.

The red panda was able to vaguely detect Reg's existence in this region of the school, but not to any point of pinpointing an exact location. Still, Corsen figured to stick around the block of the school containing the students' rooms and a few other buildings, such as the auditorium that Reg and Kriivthi had recently ran out from.

Corsen once again shifted into her flamingo form, running on thin pink legs for several yards before lifting into the air, hoping to get a higher view of her surroundings.

Neveah | Drishti

Neve tilted her head at Lila’s words. Sometimes she could tell when people were lying by their body’s involuntary responses, even if she couldn’t actually read them. She didn’t get any hint of that from her, but bending the truth wasn’t technically lying and seemed like just the sort of thing Lorelai would do.

She came this close to asking why Azul then didn’t just come when called, but realized with a flash of insight that maybe what went for her and Drishti didn’t go for everyone. Maybe some pairs just needed time away from each other every now and them, regardless of how closely bonded they were. Perhaps her relationship with Drishti was entirely abnormal. Who knew. Neve hadn’t exactly encountered many human-dæmon pairs before coming here, so she didn’t have much of a reference. All she knew was that what they had worked for the two of them. From what she’d observed so far, it was probably different for Lorelai and Azul.

Well, no harm in going along for now, she supposed. Their chances of finding Azul weren’t very high, and on the off chance that they did…they’d cross that bridge if they ever got there, Neve decided.

She could almost hear what Drishti thought of that.

“Shall we go? I am pretty sure Reg and Casper are long gone by now,” Lila suggested. Neve frowned as she tried to match the names to their owners. “Those are the two wanderers, right?” she asked, sounding more curious than concerned as she went on. “So no wheelbarrow ride for them?”

Sika padded after the bat, almost falling down the stairs because he was not focused on looking where he was going. He didn't detect anything all the way downstairs until he'd reached where Aur was. There, he caught a very faint whiff of the human... and daemon? Yes, possibly. It was gone again quickly, but there definitely had been something.

'They were here,' he said. 'I caught a sce..n..t.' And there it was again. He turned on the spot and followed it, not really looking where he was going but somehow not walking into anything.

Neve furrowed her brow at Lorelai's use of nicknames for the two druken boys.

“Those are the two wanderers, right?” She inquired curiously. “So no wheelbarrow ride for them?”

Lila laughed. "No, no wheelbarrow ride. I am exhuasted just from hauling Herschell up to his room. I am not going to repeat that with Reg and Casper." Then she paused, realising something. "Oh, Casper is what I just call the black haired one. He literally just vanished when I tried to talk to him. Like, he was there and then he wasn't. Azul told me his name but I forgot so I am calling him Casper."

Lila started trekking inside, deciding to leave the wheelbarrow by the stairs. The staff would clean it up eventually. She had a few places she wanted to check for Azul with Neve inside first, starting with her room where she left him. She highly doubted that he was in there but it was worth the look.

Aurvang

Aurvang tilted his head as he watched the Lynx trot away, following a scent path that he found. Other students and their dæmon's had begun pilling into the dorms, the day coming close to its end. Parents had been making their way out of the school grounds for a good half an hour now, the last of them still shuffling around asking last minute questions, or wishing their kids good luck. Aurvang had glanced around to some parents who eagerly helped bring their kid's stuff into their dorms, quite a few of them then leaving without much encouragement or words at all really. The behaviour mostly due to the dæmons no doubt. Aurvang particularly remembered the disdain on his human's parents when they were dropped off, barely getting out of the vehicle to wish him goodbye. The bat, now turned snake, had instantly dropped his mood at the thought. He and Kriivthi were dropped off in the last month of the previous year, and then were stuck on campus for the summer. The dæmon wasn't sure if that was even allowed, but they did it anyways. Although, as he followed Sika, his emotions had began to brighten, they did find a rather good friend in their stay, and perhaps even more later on, now that more people were here. So, perhaps they would be fine either way. Now, Aurvang's thoughts were focused entirely on exactly where Sika was taking them.

“Good to know,” Neve muttered, mostly to herself and Drishti but loud enough for Lorelai to hear as well. Not that ‘the black-haired one’ helped her in any way, but she knew Drishti had probably paired the two males with their names already and would whisper the information into her ear if she needed it. Nice of Lila to tell her Casper wasn’t his real name though. Might have been awkward if she ever ran into him.

Her companion turned into the building again. Neveah debated asking where they were going, but decided they’d find out soon enough.

“So, tell me about the school,” she requested instead, catching up to walk beside her. “I only got the parent-friendly “this school is great for kids with dæmons!” yada yada propaganda, and I get the impression there’s more to it.” Another thought popped into her head and out her mouth before she bothered to think twice about it. “How long have you been here?”

"Good to know," Neve muttered.

Lorelai caught a slightly scarcastic edge to her tone and laughed. "I'm sure Drishti will know. But, I guess it doesn't matter to you because you can still sense him, even when he turns invisible which is cool." Lila murmured in realization. His powers were basically mute around Neveah. As were her own, apparently. At least they were signifigantly reduced in effectiveness. However, Lorelai was somewhat sure that Neve would not be immune to her miasma.

Then again, she could hardly control that. It reacted with her emotions and it seemed to have varying effects which Lorelai had no control over. Sometimes it just caused choking, other times it induced complete cardiac arrest. She had seen Azul manipulate the mist seamlessly leading her to believe that he had total control over it. Could he choose which effect it had as well? Seizures? Illusions? Pain? Was there a limit?

Azul rarely answered these questions straightforwardly. And she had never seen him use it for any other reason than to direct the mist Lorelai creates away.

“So, tell me about the school,” Neveah questioned, keeping stride with the purple-haired woman. “I only got the parent-friendly “this school is great for kids with dæmons!” yada yada propaganda, and I get the impression there’s more to it.”

Lorelai's eyes narrowed slightly as she spared the girl a glance, considering her words carefully. Luckily, before she could answer, Neveah asked another question.

“How long have you been here?”

Lorelai chuckled as she turned, heading up the stairs. Students flanked towards the sides of the walls to get out of her way as she walked. Some glared at her with disdain, others leaned in as if hoping to catch her attention. OIthers stiill glared at Neve with a mixture of jealousy and spite.

"As a student or in general?" Lorelai clarified, paying no mind to the mixed reactions of the students around her. "My dad threw me in here for the free day-care when I was very little. I practically grew up in these halls. I've been trapped in this he.ll hole much longer than most of the staff."

She had a much closer bond with her dæmon than most fourth years, but the bar was super low.

She finally ascending the last stair well, slightly winded from the long trek up.

Walking down the short hallway, Lila unlocked her dorm room and pushed open the door, glancing inside.

The smell of lavender and citrus wafted subtly through the air. It was a clean and calming sent, although not too over-powering. The result of Lorelai's incense and relatively frequent cleaning of her room. She liked to keep her spaces tidy and organised.

The floor was coated in a white fuzzy carpet, soft and silken to the touch. The wood underneath was well polished and smooth.

The purple sheets matched with the purple decorations adorning the white walls of the dormroom, as well as a few pillow floofs situated by the bed and desk to accomodate extra seating.

Fairy lights were strung on the walls, giving off a warm and welcoming glow which complimented the muted purple and off-white tones of the furnishings.

"This is where I left him last, although it's unlikely he'd be here, I figured we might as well start from square one." Lorelai explained as she glanced around her vacant room.

Azul wasn't here.

Coronach bit her lip when Violeta didn't respond and then nervously laughed "Like I said, not the most dramatic family story. Don't get me wrong I love them and they love me very much, just the whole Daemon bonding thing makes things tense, and I have to dance around them in order to not offend them." She frowned, finding more and more reasons to not really want to be here or home.

Maybe there was a part of her that... that wanted to conform, to submit, in that way where they wanted to have her and Aligerous be the mature, rule-following, upstanding, and beloved bonded daemon/human duo so that she wouldn't have to deal with awkward family dinners. So that she wouldn't have to be forced to be in this cage and forced to go to their classes and ask permission to leave for an hour to go to their stupid little, d.ying garden where she and Aligerous could only play eye-spy or draw things that would seem acceptable to society if it was shown to the world.

She just wanted to fade, not d.ie, but fade away. Not exist, or at least to the world. Like go explore the world with Aligerous, and live in a tiny cabin in the woods where she could race bareback on Aligerous's horse form, or find coins with his Raven one, and even snuggle with his fox form.

But nope. She was here, but she wasn't alone in this. She has Aligerous, Violeta and Heru, and these strangers that probably wanted out of here as much as she did.

Of course Violeta wanted out of this school, but she'd promised her parents that she'd give it a chance. She saw other students with Daemons lke herself and Connie. She was just glad that she had a friend in this place. And a friend who's Daemon was willing to let her go for a ride on top of that! Heru's largest form was a hawk, not something people could ride, but still fun to have.

"Hey, think any of the other students have abilities from their Daemons?" The girl asked out of curiosity, Heru back in his moth form as he perched on her head like a living hair accessory.

"I was wondering the same thing. I have psychic navigation, light manipulation and Leta gets adaptive muscle memory from me." Heru pointed out, scuttling forward on his insect legs with his fuzzy mothy body just being adorable and shimmering

Neveah | Drishti

Neve might not be able to see the envious and spiteful looks sent her way, but she could definitely sense the people in the hallway jumping aside, their heartbeat spiking as she and Lila went by. Discomfited, Drishti lowered his head to whisper about their expressions and body language into her ear. It wasn’t hard to figure out which of the two of them was inspiring those reactions.

“As a student or in general?” Lorelai answered her second question, drawing a frown from Neve. There’s a difference? “My dad threw me in here for the free day-care when I was very little. I practically grew up in these halls. I've been trapped in this he.ll hole much longer than most of the staff.”

This morning, Neveah would have considered that an exaggeration. But after the events of the past few hours, she wasn’t so sure anymore. It was an uncomfortable thought, but before she could reiterate her first question Lila surprised both her and Drishti by suddenly turning and unlocking the door of what was evidently her room.

A waft of citrus and lavender blew into their faces as the door opened. Drishti had perfected the art of describing things concisely, so with a few well-chosen words – purple, soft, light and butterfly were among them, taking into account her personal associations with the words – he was able to give her the right impression of the room.

“So is everyone afraid of you because you can hypnotize them at any moment or is there more to it?” she asked as she wandered further into the room, despite Azul clearly not being here. The carpet was pleasantly soft under her bare feet, but Neve still disliked it due to it muffling vibrations, rendering her significantly less aware of her surroundings. She dropped down on one of the pouffes near the bed and used her toes to find the edge of the carpet, wriggling her feet underneath so she could place her soles directly against the smooth floor.

She was aware it was impossible to stay on everyone’s good side, but she did try not to get on anyone’s bad side. Judging from the reactions in the hallway, strolling around with Lorelai was an excellent way of getting associated with her and consequently rubbing a lot of people the wrong way. Wandering all over the school grounds looking for her lost dæmon would make that even worse.

“So how many possible places were you planning on checking?” she asked, her dæmon hissing at the words. Of course he’d already guessed her thoughts.

Lorelai observed Neve pad her way into the room, her snake whispering in a hushed tone into the girl's ear. “So is everyone afraid of you because you can hypnotize them at any moment or is there more to it?”  Neveah appeared rather discontented as she crossed the room, expertly locating one of the pouffes and depositing herself onto it.

Neveah's early apperance of uneasiness was revealed as she quickly shoved her feet underneath Lorelai's carpet, almost visibly relaxing once her feet hit the smooth wood.

Lorelai mentally took note of this behaviour but did not comment on it. She took a seat criss cross on her bed. "I suppose that is one reason to fear me." She murmured thoughfully. "But it isn't like that exactly. Most of them respect me. I practically own the school, well, half. When Hershcell and I were together we ran things. Even the teachers couldn't stop us. Everyone loved us because we would cause a ruckus loud enough to get classes canceled on an almost weekly basis. Now people have instinctively seperated themselves onto my side and his side." Lila shrugged as she picked up her comb by her bedside, running it through her hair. "He created a rather effective slander campaign against me a while back wich turned quite a few people against me and started this whole mentality. In the end, I found a way to profit on it but the divides still remain deep. The school seems to thrive in the drama. Personally, I would rather they just stop."

Setting the comb down, Lila turned her heterochromatic gaze towards Neveah.

“So how many possible places were you planning on checking?" She asked.

"Probably two more. We will pass through the theatre on the way out to the gardens. Those are usually Azul's favourite spots." Lorelai supplied as she tilted her head, a sheen of purple hair falling into her face.

Neveah | Drishti

Neve sighed in exasperation at the inane school politics. “I’ve never understood why people will insist on getting polarized over something like that. I try to stay out of it.”

She didn’t say I think it might be too late now though, but she wouldn’t be surprised if Lorelai filled that in herself. “Probably two more. We will pass through the theatre on the way out to the gardens. Those are usually Azul's favourite spots,” the girl said, solidifying Neve’s idea. She wasn’t going to discuss it with Lila first though.

Drishti already knew what was coming when she turned to him. He wasn’t pleased.

“No,” he said flat-out.

“Please?” she asked, keeping any wheedling tone out of her voice because she knew she’d get further with reasoning than begging. He had almost certainly followed the same train of thought she had, he just needed a little push to get him over the barrier of leaving her alone here now, knowing it might be safer in the long run. Or at least until she found her footing and was able to navigate the social minefield a little better.

“Figure out how far,” she pointed out. Two birds, one stone. Also something that might nullify the whole argument.

“Don’t leave,” he argued.

“Safe here,” she argued back.

Drishti turned his head to give Lila an extremely mistrustful glare. She sighed, fondly tapping the scales coiled near her knee. “You know I can tell you’re looking, right?”

He hissed softly, turning back to her. “Don’t trust,” he said, half grumbling, half warning.

She scoffed. “Course not.”

He was quiet for a moment, and she waited. It was his choice. As much as she liked to tease him about his protective tendencies, if he really didn’t want to, she wouldn’t force him.

He moved again after a few seconds. “Don’t tell?” he asked, something quietly vulnerable in his voice.

Neve stroked his scales. “Course not,” she repeated, but with a matching softness in hers. She turned to Lila to actually pitch the idea to her. “One of Drishti’s other forms is a magpie. Instead of running all over the place like headless chickens, how about he goes out to look and we just wait here?”

"I think everyone has powers from their dæmons." Coronach tipped her head, grateful for the change in subject... or sorta a change in subject. She looked to Aligerous for an answer for that.

"Every Dæmon and their bonded pair has powers, usually aligned with their human's personality." Aligerous explained "Which also is connected to each form they take."

Neveah appeared to be contemplative.
"No." Drishti replied flatly,  as though physically hearing the girl's thoughts.
Lorelai tilted her head. Was it possible for a dæmon and a human to be telepathic? Perhaps, however such a connection seemed dangerous.
What followed was a rather curious exchange between dæmon and human, leaving Lila bemused
The words were crisp, sometimes even monosyllabic. The sentence structure was essentially nonexistent and incomprehensible.
Lorelai felt as though she were listening to a distant conversation through a heavy door, only able to pick up certain words whereas others were muddled and unclear. Except, in this instance, they were never spoken.
The pair were locked in conversation in a language of their own creation. Meaning found in past experiences shared only by the two. Entirely jibberish as far as Lila was concerned. But fascinating.
The two exchanged clipped words and gutteral grunts with each other, causing Lila to shift uncomfortably. About halfway through, the snake turned and fixed Lorelai with an intense stare.
Lila returned the gaze, seemingly indifferent and uncowed.
Then they resumed conversing in their odd language.
Well that was certainly... interesting.  Lorelai mused as the conversation concluded,  seemingly with Neveah seemingly victorious.
“One of Drishti’s other forms is a magpie." Neveah explained, finally. "Instead of running all over the place like headless chickens, how about he goes out to look and we just wait here?”
Lorelai considered it for a moment.  "You're that embarrassed to be seen with me, huh?" She purred with a teasing tone. "I could grant you a lot of influence and power around here, you know. No one would bother you. You would be free to do as you please. But I get the sense you'd rather blend in, hmm?"
Tilting her head, Lila leaned back on her palms.
"If that is what you want, sure. Assuming Drishti will be able to sense Azul while in flight and so far off the ground as a tiny butterfly... or cat, I suppose. I've never seen him as anything else." Lorelai glanced down at Neve's feet which pressing firmly against the floor and under the carpet.
While Neveah wouldn't notice the cue, Lila was sure Drishti would.
It seemed that Neveah's detection abilities only worked while her feet were grounded and in direct contact with the floor, hence her tendency to wander around barefoot and her disliking of Lorelai's carpet.
Lorelai assumed those same limitations extended to Drishti as well.

Neveah | Drishti

Neve sent a flat look in Lila’s general direction (a tad off to the left, slightly diminishing the effect). “You just told me there is a massive turf war going on. Forgive me for wanting to stay out of it.”

“If that is what you want, sure. Assuming Drishti will be able to sense Azul while in flight and so far off the ground as a tiny butterfly... or cat, I suppose. I've never seen him as anything else,” Lorelai responded, glancing pointedly at Neve’s feet.

Drishti whispered “Look feet,” into Neve’s ear before pointing out “I have eyes and I can land,” directly addressing Lila for probably the first time since they met her. He slid off Neve’s shoulders and onto the bed, staring straight at Lorelai all the way, coiling in front of her and raising his head. “Try anything, and you will regret it. Powerful dæmon or not.”

Without waiting for whatever smart response Lila would undoubtedly make to that, he shrunk his body into his bird form and hopped back onto Neve’s shoulder, who got up and carefully made her way to the window. She slid her hands along the sill until she found the latch, opening it and pushing the window outwards.

With a last peck to her ear to remind her he did not like this, Drishti pushed off with his feet and dove outside. Neve listened to his wingbeats drawing away as she made her way back to the pouffe. She wondered if she would feel anything due to being farther apart now than they had ever been, remembering that being asked on the questionnaire she filled in. She was a bit nervous about being separated from her dæmon, especially now that she suspected the school might not have entirely honourable intentions, but she trusted that not much could happen in broad daylight, with plenty of people still milling about the grounds.

Drishti stayed away longer than she would have expected, and she did get an uncomfortable pulling feeling behind her ribs, but after growing steadily worse for a few minutes it plateaued. Which led her to believe Drishti had found Azul and he was either trying to convince the older dæmon to come back with him or they were simply having a conversation. Or both. In any case, it didn’t feel like he was in trouble.

In the meantime, she learned that apart from the already extensively demonstrated siren song, Lorelai, or technically Azul, also possessed hypnotic powers. In return, she shared her equally well-demonstrated vibration sensing and sound manipulation, but kept Drishti’s emphatic powers to herself. After all, she had promised Drishti not to trust Lila.

Finally, the uncomfortable feeling lessened. She heard wingbeats approaching and turned slightly to offer her shoulder for Drishti to land on, both revelling in the reunion. “Found him?” she asked as he turned back into a snake and pressed tightly against her. His “Yeah,” sounded off enough to make her very curious about what they’d talked about, but for now she quietly filled him in on what had happened in the room in his absence and then just enjoyed his presence, focusing on the other two occupants.

Lorelai -18- |Azul -Dæmon-|

((For the sake of brevity, Moon and I decided to speed things along on here so Dill can do the time skip he's been waiting for and we will fill out what happened on the Disc. If anyone is interested. So.... yeah. Cool.))

Lorelai had done her best to make Neveah feel more comfortable despite being visibly unnerved by the lack of her daemon. She made small talk with the younger girl, inquiring about her abilities and the nature of the bond she has forged with her daemon.

When the topic was flipped onto her abilities, Lorelai careful chose to tell Neve about Azul's power of "hypnosis" instead of belief inducement, deciding not to scare the girl off with notions of completely changing her perspective and thoughts. She also omitted her abilities at miasma manipulation sicne that was a secret not even the school knew of, and one she intended to guard closely.

With a flutter of feathers, Drishti returned.

"Found him?" Neve questioned just as Azul appeared in the windowsill.

His grey fur was smoothed, immaculate from the constant grooming and his blue eyes held a certain intensity onto them as he surveyed the room in his russian blue cat form.

Lila looked visibly suprised, fully having expected to see a butterfly in his stead.

"Thank you, Drishti." She inclined her head towards Neve's daemon in gratitude.

Azul wordlessly leapt from the window, landing silently onto the floor. With his tail in the air, he padded up towards Neve, winding around her legs in a way a cat usually would.

He seemed to like her, for some reason.

Lorelai glanced at her daemon who hadn't spoken a word to her since his re-ermergence and cleared her throat. "I guess I will see you two tomorrow for morning classes." She murmured, placing her hands on her hips. "You can get out of my room now."
Azul send her a scolding stare.

Lorelai returned it with an impatient expression. She really wanted to talk to him. Alone.

Neveah | Drishti

Drishti ignored Lorelai’s gratitude entirely, absorbed in being back with Neve. She startled slightly at Azul’s approach, his footsteps being entirely silent on the carpet and Drishti too preoccupied to warn her. But once she realized what he was doing, she reached down with a smile to run her hand through his soft fur.

“I guess I will see you two tomorrow for morning classes,” Lorelai said, her voice having noticeably dropped in warmth as she coolly ordered, “You can get out of my room now.”

Neve felt both dæmons tense in indignation under her fingers, but she wasn’t really surprised. “What did you expect,” she hummed to Drishti, loud enough for Lila to catch, before taking her time scratching under Azul’s chin and stage-whispering “Good luck,” to him.

That was probably about as far as she could wisely stretch it. She got up and crossed the room without sparing Lila any attention, stepping out into the hallway and closing the door on them. She toyed with the idea of eavesdropping on them, but even though she probably had Azul on her side, she didn’t think it wise to push Lorelai’s limits.

So instead Neve just wandered off down the hallway, simply enjoying her dæmon’s company. “Good know,” she cooed at him, which he agreed with. But: “Not again.”

“Not again,” she echoed.

"Ah interesting, I wish I could use light... then I can blind those who bother me..." Aligerous muttered a little sadistically.

"I wonder what else is out there though, like do you think there's possession powers? mind powers?" Coronach tipped her head, looking at the other few people that still gathered around talking. She assumed most of them went back to their dorms.

"West." Aligerous churred in reminder.

"So much for having a friend in the dorms." Violeta replied, gesturing towards the north dorms.

"Hey, now you can find me." Coronach shrugged, gesturing to the west wing dorms. "It's not hard anyways, it has my name and I doubt anyone else's name is 'Coronach'" she awkwardly chuckled, Aligerous rolling his eyes.

"Or paints their black door with pastel colors." he added

(First up: So, so sorry for not replying for ages. My internet has been playing up so barely anything is loading, let alone able to get past captcha. I've also become busy with college and art. I hope when the holidays come this darn internet will work well enough for me to post more often.)

Sika wandered out through the doors and practically walked into Jach. Jach pointed to the sky, where a flamingo was flying.

'I guess you were looking for Corsen?' He said, glancing from snake to lynx. Sika nodded and shifted to his crow form, flying up to the flamingo.

'Hey! Looking for your human?' He called.

While Sika was in the sky, Jach looked to Aur. 'What happened with Kriiv and Reg?' The last he'd seen they had both come running out of the old cinema building in a mad dash chased by what he could only describe as sheet ghosts.

Aurvang sighed as he watched Sikastan jet after Corsen, looking back to Jach with a tilted head.

"Not sure where my human is... But the Panda's pet is in Kriivthi's room" Aurvang assured, now thinking about if the teen were to randomly wake up and wander around said room. Under the impression it was his room, which he already thought it was as he demonstrated with kicking the door in. Due to its currently dimly lit room, he had no doubts that something would be accidentally destoryed in the ginger's hazy rummaging.

"I should probably actually go check on him to make sure he doesn't ruin any of Kriiv's projects" Aurvang hissed, heading back into the dorm wing. The snake coiled up a railing before leaping into a bat and flying back to the ginger. Slithering onto a tree post that hung beside the closet and simply listening for any movement from the passed out Reg.

((Aight, I'm gonna do a time skip in my next post, so tie up your scenes within the next few posts here. I.e character parting, going to sleep, and all that, if you wish. Coronach could help but yawn. Riding for real during those few hours today made her surprisingly tired.

"I guess it's time for sleep. We'll see you two in the morning then." he flittered his wings in a farewell before flying off to their own rooms, trying to guide Coronach back before she forgot

"Why don't we go see what they're serving for dinner and then go hit the sack?" She suggested, Heru bobbing his owl head in agreement.

"Sounds good to me! I'm starving!" the Daemon chirped, shifting to a hawk again

((Aight, I got the rest of the week off cause of a heat wave, so. Let us skip to the next day. Sorry this is long, but there is something in here that actually pertains to all your characters, so... ))

"Nelly, c'mon, get in the car" A woman called to the little girl following behind. Kriivthi looked over to see the small child in white and pink clothes slowly drag her feet to the vehicle. Obviously angry she didn't get the snack she wanted from the movies. The blue eyes of the girl had caught the sight of a rather bright white cat across the street, instantly pulling her across the road to go eagerly pet the animal. This caused Kriivthi's parents to go and manually retrieve his little sister. Although, he didn't exactly remember having a little sister, a big sister for sure, but the roles seemed reversed here. He also felt as if he was missing something as he was left alone to lean against the van in thought of that internal ordeal.

"Hey" Someone whispered from behind him, turning to reveal a rather large and bright white snake that stood out among the pitch black cement. The teen watched as it turned around and started slithering away, reaching the treeline of the large forest before looking back to him.

"Coming?" It cocked his head in question, carrying on when Kriivthi started following the talking reptile.

Kriivthi's attention was completely pinned to the snake, now morphing into a rather large cat, then slowly morphed into other various animals as they travelled through out the forest. Crows, butterflys, horses, wolves, badgers, red pandas, and owls, were all the animals it shifted into before it darted from Kriivthi's sight. Only then did he realize he was lost in the woods, where the trees seemed to have grown so tall that the foliage they made was well out of view, and let no light through. Spinning around frantically listening for his parents to call his name, fairly certain he wasn't that far and would be able to hear them otherwise. But he never heard any familiar voices. Making him wonder if they noticed he was missing, then worry started bubble in his chest, thoughts of them abandoning him became to creep into his head. Pushing that aside, he started walking down the pathway he figured he came from. Positive that the abandonment was all in his head.

The night sky had began to brighten in a blue hue, making the teen question exactly how long he's been out there for. The thoughts didn't plague his mind for long as he came upon a large building in the middle of a clearing. It looked rather modern, with white outter walls decorated with red patterns near the door. But the higher he looked, he noticed the modernized walls start to stagger out into stone bricks, its structure turning more into a medieval castle. The sight of the large towers imtimidated Kriivthi, however, the white cat that lead him here had caught his attention. The entrance to the door opening on its own to allow the animal in, and with another curious gaze from its yellow eyes, Kriivthi had followed in. Questions boiled out of his mind, but his voice failed to set them free, making for a quiet entrance into the building.

Inside was rather comfortable, making the boy feel as though he was just getting to his room after a long day. The large foyer was dimly lit in dark purple red hues, yet still allowed you to see everything in detail. The trinkets on the tables pulled at Kriivthi's attention, the antique funiture pleased his eyes, while the comfy looking white armchairs invited him to sit. And so he did, as if waiting for an appointment of some sort. Another survey of the room led him to see the place as a pleasent mix of victorian and modern. While he sat in silence, he noticed the cat had been observing him from on top the stairs. Now, he let the questions slowly seep from his brain and into the quiet air.

"Where am I?" He quietly spoke, as to not distrub the still air of the foyer. The cat remained silent, only blinking in response and continuing to intently stare at the boy.

"Can I call my parents? I think they'd be looking for me by now..." Kriivthi continued, but only recieved the same answer of silence. A small groan left the teen as he looked away, the aesthetics of the place had made him forget a lot of the questions he had. His mind blanking entirely when a song started playing through the room. Now replaced with annoyance, and the desire for it to be turned off. It was a melodic sound, he supposed a lullaby he would sleep to as a kid, but he couldn't be quite sure as it would stop at random and start playing from the beginning again. Sometimes it would be a complete cut off, other times it would ring into the beginning, and sometimes it would add another melody in it that didn't properly mesh into the previous melody.

The longer it played, the more angry Kriivthi got. Even the comfortable chairs that held  him or the dimly lit room he stayed in couldn't calm him. His face morphing into disgust until he started grunting in annoyance and covering his ears. The melodies not deafening in the slightest.

Eventually Kriivthi snapped his eyes open to angerly stare at the dorm room door where the noise was coming from. Burying his head in the pillows and wrapping the blankets around him tighter in attempts to drown out the morning music the school plays through out all the living quarters. Not actually loud enough to break through the student's doors, but enough to echo into it and softly wake them up. Kriivthi however, had amplified hearing thanks to his dæmon's abilites. The morning sun glared through a crack in the curtains, allowing the peaking blue eye of Kriivthi to observe what little the light revealed. Instantly noticing that a hanging project of his was missing from its spot, slowly sitting up and trying to focus his eyes on the dark parts of the room. More wood and plastic projects of his seemed to be missing from their rightful places. Kriivthi narrowed his eyes in thought, now wondering how someone broke into his room and why they would rob him of his personal projects. The thoughts of his possibly stolen belongings had stopped when he saw the clock read 7:30 am. Angerly mumbling multiple swears to the clock before burying himself back in the sheets. Already hating the day. A few more minutes of breathing in the pillow's scent made him raise his head and stare at the sheets in confusion. The scent completely foreign to him, and most certainly not his own.

"Okay, what the-" Kriivthi breathed out, sitting up again and thinking about where the light is, then spent another minute simply sitting in the bed. It was comfy afterall, perhaps more comfy than his bed was suppose to be. Now wondering if this was truely his bed.

Reginald Eason Pierce | Corsen

Having been flying the evening before, Corsen had not heard Sika’s holler after her over a mixture of Corsen's distracted mind and the blasting of wind. The flamingo had flown around for a while longer in search of a familiar shock of dark red hair. While she had a vague awareness for Reg’s presence, Corsen still could not pinpoint him beyond figuring out he seemed to be located somewhere in the dorm building.

Defeated, Corsen had eventually stalked back to Reginald’s room, still currently occupied by Kriivthi. After a while, the flamingo daemon soon also fell into slumber as her wandering mind and fretful thoughts quelled.

---

Corsen often naturally awoke to dawn, but as her human never willingly awoke that early, she was prone to also napping a bit later into the forenoon.

As usual, an alarm clock blared to life around seven thirty in the morning. However, the person it was meant to awake was still nowhere to be found within the room.

Instead, a boy with a shock of black hair awoke, and began angrily, albeit rather quietly, cursing at the contraption. Corsen blinked in bewilderment at his reaction.

She was not at all unused to Reg having outbursts of anger. His were usually louder. But… usually, his were also more a general dam.ning at the world for having to wake up.

Kriivthi, on the other hand, almost seemed to have a formal history with the said alarmclock in how he reacted to it. The wording was very targeted and specific. Corsen could not help but feel amused about the behavior.

"How are you feeling after last night?" Corsen asked as she performed her daily morning routine of preening her feathers. If she remained in her flamingo form, Corsen often arranged her plumes at least twice before breakfast.

Reginald awoke from a deep, dreamless sleep the next morning to his head pounding and his body aching in peculiar places. The teen would have wondered about these harsh sensations if he were not more worried about his unfamiliar surroundings.

The boy shot up in bed with a shock, staring around an unknown room. He winced as his sore muscles seemed to scream at the sudden motion. The room and furnishings were slightly different from his own in layout. Perhaps the most bizarre part was that there were random jumblings of items haphazardly strewn about the space. The most concerning were projects precariously hanging over the bed above Reginald’s head.

Reg leaned over the bed, tapping at the closest pile to the furnishing on the floor, trying to figure out what it was.

“Eh?” Reginald mumbled crankily, his other hand grazing across the unfamiliar bedsheets, the scent on them alien to his nostrils. His face suddenly began to flush into a shade quite close to his hair’s color as his mind struggled to figure out why he awoke in a random bed.

The redhead had trouble remembering the events from the day before occurring after having drunk the odd beverage provided by the school. He had some vague recollections, but details were missing. How drunk had Reg been that he could not remember what led him here? He lightly slapped his face a few times, as if in attempt to jog his own memory.

He remembered visual snapshots from the orientation, as well as some very dark images from an unknown location, but very few specifics.

Now that he was more alert, Reg became aware he had awoken in his clothing, fully and exactly as he had worn them the day before.

Somehow, this did little to ease Reginald’s anxiety. He was at a complete loss as to why he had awoken in another person’s bedroom, without the actual owner in question anywhere to be seen. Glancing at the door only showed to the redhead that the lock was notably broken, making Reg wonder if that was his doing or not.

Reginald also realized Corsen was nowhere to be found, only adding to the oddity of his situation. That thought was soon amplified when Reg noticed a white snake sitting nearby in the space. He recognized it to be Aurvang; Kriivthi’s daemon. This at least gave a hint to Reg of whom the bed belonged to.

Reg inadvertently clenched and unclenched his hands repeatedly, desirous to have a smoke to ease his both craving and hammering headache. Foremost, though, Reg wanted some answers to fill in the gaps from his memory.

“Um, why the h.ell am I here?” Reg uneasily snapped at Aurvang, unsure what to do other than sit awkwardly in the bed with his legs crossed while he questioned the snake daemon. It felt far too odd to be alone with another person’s daemon. “And where’s that red rat?”

Roku doesn't have a good time

Sometime when one dream, they dream not through themselves but through the eyes of the others

In this dream, Roku watch through the eyes of someone her size, someone who sees the world as much larger than their own, someone with the similar small callus hand but in this dream the skin color are much darker. The person is agile, moving from building to building from pipes to pipes without fear and hesitation. The weirdest and most noticable aspect other than the skin color however, is the fact that Roku is watch through some sort of the eye holes, like the person she currently is is wearing some sort of mask to obscure their face.

The person---They---they landed. Bringing with them are a rusty red...bat? metal pipe? and a sack contain breads and some other stuff. They are checking the contain inside when they heard the rustle nearby, around the gross trash and box piling up in the corner. They're on guard immediatally, Tighten their grips around their weapon and squek out with obvious fault bravado, their voice crack.

"Who's there? If you are th Rattler and crossing our turf I wont hesitate to bash your face in!"

As the boy(wait she's the boy?) bring his weapon higher, the cause of the rustle reveal itself in the form of a very dirty kid tubling out from the box. They're the scrawny little thing, their black hair is a mess and as mention earlier--very dirty even to the street kids standard. It's not far fetch to think that this kid probably wont have long and while the boy dropped his guard imediatally, something that can be fatal mistake in their world, the scrawny kid snarl like cornered animal.

"Woah hey" The boy back away and dropped his weapon "You are not with the Rattler, you're new" It doesn't come out as a question even if he coc,ked his head to the side. Soon he realize that the weapon might not be the only thing that put the other kid on guard so he discard the mask "It's okay! I'm not gonna hurt you.. you want..you want some bread, here"

The boy placed the clean sheet of paper on the ground and the bread on top of them and step back to give the kid some space. The kid hesitate for a second before poucing. They're down right feral and inhaling the breath in the matter of second like their life depend on it. The boy watch them with interest.

"What's your name..." He ask only to be met with a death glare" Oh of course, stupid rules, I should have give out mine first right?

My..

Name...

Is..........

...............

.......

.

---------------------------------------------------

Roku open her eyes, in the more somber manner this time around but she could still feel something wet prickling at the corner of her eyes, urgh gross!

"Rise and shine, you are dreaming about him again aren't you." The similar voice asked from the shadow above her bed "And here I thought I should have dream relate power, guess I can get by just fine without one with how predictable you tend to be"

The memory of yestuday resurface and Roku angrily yelled and got up, throwing her pillow at the dark spot with two glowing eyes with her injured hand, the glowing eyes crackling and disappear before the pillow hit the target. It's their way of communicating, at this point Roku doesn't need to spell out why she's angry.

"Live with your consequence"  Yagi said after teleporting to the safer place

"I thought you want me dead" Roku bit back

"Oh you will if you keep going down this path"

Roku huffed and decided she has enough of their banter, and stomping toward the door, an action she'd instantly regret.

Because what greeted her at the door is the cleaning lady, waiting for her like a hound in front of the fox den

"There you are" She said, initiating her death grip " Dont think you can get away that easily this morning"

Violeta Ungur/Heru the Daemon

Unlike waking up on the house boat, there weren't the usual morning sounds of life with her family to greet her. For Violeta, it was strange to be waking up on land and she'd had a hard time falling asleep last night. Luckily, Heru makes for a great cuddle buddy in his owl form.

"Hey, you fall asleep ok?" Her Daemon asked as he shifted to his silk moth form before shifting back to a hawk again.

"Ugh...I don't get how land lubbers sleep without the motion of a ship." Violeta grumbled, rubbing sleep from her eyes as she got up and went over to her dresser to brush out her hair in front of the mirror. At least the room wasn't as cramped as hers was on their ship. She brushed out her thick brown hair before tying it back with a purple bandana in a typical Gyptian style.

"You'll get used to it. It takes land lubbers twice as long to get used to the sea in most cases." The shimmering hawk pointed out as he sat on the bedpost to watch her get dressed in clothes that she thought was appropriate for school.

(if there's a uniform or something, let me know)

Lorelai -18- |Azul -Dæmon-|

Lorelai had arisen just as the fingers of morning light began to pierce the dark veil of night, casting a soft burgendy across the waxing sky.

She had briskly gotten out of bed and mechnacially performed her usual morning rituals, starting with a morning strecth to shake the weariness from her limbs. As she slid into her splits on the carpet beneath her, Lorelai gingerly twisted her back around to face the wall. Dipping her head back, Lila closed her eyes, ignoring the muffled sound of fluttering wings as Azul zipped by. He had reverted back to his Butterfly form some times in the night, as though afraid he would settle as something else.

Pushing herself back up, Lorelai contorted into a cobra position, touching her feet to her head as she arched her back.

A few minutes dragged on before Lila finally seemed satisfied and she clambered to her feet. Strolling quietly across the velvety rug, she re-emerged into her bathroom, absentlyu flicking on the lights as she passed them.

Staring at her vacant face in the mirror, Lorelai slowly unclipped the curlers from her hair, allowing the purple sheen to fall in tight coils around her shoulders.

Reaching for her toothbrush, Lorelai relished in the quiet of the morning as she completed her morning rituals.

With a fresh face and clean teeth, Lila dragged her fuzzy stool over to the counter and plopped herself down, expertly grabbing a hold od her supplies to craft her make up look for that day.

She setttled on something more bold, a dark purple smokey eye and heavy eye-liner, complete with grand swooping wings and the occasional sparkle. SHe utilzed mostly muted tones to produce a more natural shade in the otherwise unatural colour, thinking about pairing the look with some creams and tans.

At some point towards the end of her routine, the clock shifted and at exactly 7:30 AM, the soft sound of music, if you could even call it that, began to filter through her door. The oddly familiar albeit unnerving sound played every morning to awaken students and prepare them for the rest of their day.

Whoever thought this music sounded good must have been either completely tone deaf, or out of their minds. And Lorelai hated the constant twinge of familiarity it caused, like she knew it somehow.

Yawning, Lila applied the srtting powder to her face.

Lorelai ran her fingers through her hair, not wanting to damage her curls with a hairbrush. She broke apart some of the coils, allowing her hair to curl up in rippling waves. Then she sprayed it in place with a lavender-scented hairspray.

Standing from her seat, Lorelai turned and headed back into her dorm. She opened up her closet, gazing at the well-organised space within as she mentally mused over her options for that day.

She landed on a more casual look.

A comfortable single-shouldered lilac knitted sweater paired with a high-waisted frilled and tan mini-skirt.  A cream belt was situated across her mid-section, highlighting her small waist and figure.

She choose a purse for that day, matching it with her colour pallette and then headed out her door. She wanted to track down and intercept Reg before that morning's class.

((No there's no uniform in any part of this school.

Also, this is the song that is playing through out the halls of the living quarters. Song, took me a bit to make, but that's it :P Side note: If you open the song then let it play for a few seconds, then open it again in another tab. Both playing at once, that's basically what's playing for the first 10 minutes of it being on. Then it settles into just the one for the last 20 minutes of it playing))

Kriivthi jumped at the female's voice, closing the gap between him and the head board of the bed. He wished he could turn invisible right then and there, but he hadn't quite got full control over that power without Aurvang's help. Instead, he just balled his limbs to himself and hoped his small frame wouldn't be seen. However, wide eyes then instantly dropped into annoyed glares when he realized he wasn't in trouble. Although none of the anger was directed at the preening pink bird, who he regonzied as Corsen.

"Where am I?" He parroted from his dream, now slightly seeing the resemblance from dream to reality. Another glance around led him to confirm he was in Reg's room, coupled with Corsen simply being there. Taking back his statement and instead finding another question to breathe out.

"Scratch that... How'd I get here?.. Why am I here? Wait, where's my soul?" He quickly spoke, relaxing back into the bed, lazily swinging his legs to the ground to sit. Half looking for the albino dæmon. Before he recieved any answer, another alarm had began ringing from the clock he cursed out minutes before. Piercing Kriivthi's already pounding head with high screeches of pain from its volume. Despite the fact it wasn't actually that loud. Another pattern of quiet grunts and growls, and a string of curses left Kriivthi's mouth as he picked up the clock and threw it against the wall. Now just sitting on the bed with crossed arms as he tried to think of anything else that didn't have numbers telling him of the day.

----

Aurvang was coiled over the tree branch that was bolted into the wall, not quite asleep, but looked as if he was. That was until he heard the groaning ginger that he brought back last night stir awake, opening his eyes and watching as the teen struggled to pin point where he was. The annoyed glare he recieved only caused Aurvang to raise his head to listen to the questions he blurted out.

"I didn't know where you sleep, so I brought you to a place I did know you could sleep" Aurvang smiled.

"As for your red rat... Probably with my human in your room... wherever that is" He hummed, looking to the door with a sigh.

"And yes. You did that... Have fun explaining that to Kriivthi"

----

The music started making strange patterns in the blackness of Herschell's closed eyes. Most were purple and blue, with a hint of pink that would mesh into bright red and orange when the melody restarted or morphed. The ginger was sure it was Lorelei's voice that they used, the colours never lied to him before, but he never bothered to bring it up to the lilac haired girl, and never really cared either. Instead, he absently looked for his headphones to replace the sound with music he actually enjoyed. Herschell was barely able to open his eyes as the light from both the sun and the music blinded his vision.

"Good morning" Maylandi softly barked, pushing herself closer to the ginger's face with only her backlegs, while her front legs simply dragged under her.

"Mornin'... What all happened?" Herschell groaned, rubbing his eyes still looking for his headphones. But instead just wrapped his arms around the wolf and buried his face into her fur.

"The usual disorienation, the wheelbarrow trip home, and the ex carrying your a.ss back to your bed" Maylandi explained, getting an embarrassed smile from her human as he nodded along.

"Great great... All great... I didn't do anything too dumb did I?" Herschell peaked at the wolf from her fur with a suspicious gaze. Relieved when he saw the shake of her head before he rolled out of bed.

"Perfect... uhmm... I need to go... throw up" Herschell groaned, racing to the bathroom shortly after standing. Maylandi rolled her eyes and waited patiently on the bed for Herschell to shower and get ready. The music from the hallway had finally begun to settle onto a proper melody that seemed to rhyme with itself, yet still had that polyphony pattern to it. Or maybe she just got used to the sound. Herschell finally exited from the bathroom much more maintaned looking than when he first went in. Digging through his closet in search of clothes, his ears being filled with music that actually made sense to the boy. He ended up finding a rather ripped up shirt with a deep v-neck, making his dæmon question if it was even a shirt at all. Answering with an eyeroll then carrying on to complete his attire. Feeling ready to face the world, he walked into the hall way where the music was a little louder. Kids had already been scrambling out of their rooms to get away from the annoyance that was the music.

The ginger however, just strolled through the halls to the breakfast section where he grabbed a few pieces of toast and then left the cafetaria. Heading down to the court yard where a small line was gathering for their schedules. Out here, the music also echoed out of speakers, but it was almost a whisper among the quiet volume it had that couldn't quite get passed the thieving wind.

Once he got to the front of the line, the lady that was to give him his schedule had looked rather deadpanned, as if she wasn't really here at all. Herschell supposed she went on autopilot, not like it was hard to scan names and hand the student the right piece of paper. Or so he thought, as the kid in the next line over was angerily yelling at the other lady for giving him three wrong schedules already.

"You're straight up fried! You know that?! Can't hear my name right! It's not even that hard!" He yelled, the ginger regonzied him as one of the senior students. Possibly on his last year here. Herschell figured he'd stand off to the side and watch the scene for a minute, quite amused by the amont of anger one kid has, and it was barely 8 am.

"DEREK BOVEEN! D-E-R-E-K B-O-V-E-E-N" He spelled out, the lady was still deadpanned and started looking through papers. Or more shuffle through them, while not actually staring at what she was grabbing. But she did pull out a paper and held it out for the teen.

"Derek Cobin" She absently stated. The teen tossed the papers in his hands in the air and shook his head, breathing out curses to the sky. His hyena dæmon also giving the attendant a rather angry glare. Herschell couldn't help but laugh as he walked over, waving his hand in front of the lady then hopping over the table she sat at. Looking for the name the teen cried out. It wasn't too hard to find, grabbing it and gently handing it to fuming brute, who angrily said his thanks then stomped off. Shaking his head and hopping back over the table and wandering off.

Herschell took a quick glance at his classes, the first he was in was always one he's heard of for certain types of students, but rarely is anyone actually in it. So, now he questioned why he was, and who else he was in it with. Couldn't be more than ten or fifteen kids he supposed.

"What classes we get? What's our first?" Maylandi asked, scurrying up his body as a lizard to see the print.

"Trib" Herschell answered, his dæmon giving him a weird look as she looked over the first class. It read 'dæmon tribulation', with only a location and time underneath it. The dæmon remembered that very view students had to attend this class, but she never figured out why, or what it was about.

"Trib? But... No one gets that class... Why are we?" She asked, then narrowed her eyes as she realized it was also the first class of everyday.

"And why's it the first class every morning" She groaned.

((Note: everyone here is in the Trib class))

"Oh... Sorry? I guess." Reginald muttered, glowering at the floor in response to the answers Aurvang provided, raking his hands through his fiery hair. Reg was relieved to understand the reason he had ended up in unfamiliar surroundings. While he felt uncomfortable with the information that someone may be occupying his room, he could hardly complain because he was mirroring the situation himself. Plus, he'd also managed to break something during his short stay in the space.

Reg ungracefully slapped his feet on the floor, forcing himself to rise to his full height. He rubbed out the stiffness on the side of his body that had impacted the ground the day before when he'd been fallen atop of.

Already feeling level of responsibility for the broken lock on the door, as well as a slight awkwardness from being stuck in the space with the snake daemon, Reg decided to at least make the bed he'd slept in.

"I'll freshen up. Then I'm out of your space." Reginald grumbled once he'd patted out the sheets. Not having a spare change of clothes in the room, Reg peeled off the overlayed shirt he'd put on the day before, leaving on only the dark long-sleeved one that had been layered beneath. He quickly tucked the currently worn shirt into his jeans to make it look more smoothened out and presentable. The ginger maneuvered around several mysterious piles of projects towards the bathroom. He occupied the space long enough to brush his fingers through his red locks and use the sink to freshen his face with water. Reg decided he somehow looked relatively well-rested... at least despite having apparently gotten very inebriated to the point of having ended up sleeping in a near-stranger's bed.

Reg patted his pockets as if subconsciously checking for his lighter and smoke pack. The longer he divagated around, the more anxious he craved to go out for a light. Especially if he wanted to figure out where to get his schedule before the day's classes actually started.

"I'm just gonna go, then. I'll... pay him for it or something later." Reginald stated, rolling his eyes at the situation he'd gotten himself into.

---

Corsen lifted her head, taking in Kriivthi's reaction with her bird-form's side vision. Despite having just cussed out an inanimate object, the boy was very skittish. He almost rolled into a ball, as if to make himself appear smaller and more difficult to see.

The boy asked a flurry of questions, but before Corsen could answer, the alarm clock rang once more. The dark-haired boy reacted even more negatively this time, grabbing the object and flinging it into the nearby wall. The clock thudded against the ground, rendered silent as it had probably been broken from the harsh impact.

"Well, then. No need to get uptight," Corsen chided, resuming her work of ruffling her tailfeathers into place. "I managed to herd you here last night. You were intoxicated and ran off with Reginald and got into some trouble of both of your own makings. Somehow the two of you got seperated. I only managed to find you, and I brought you here since you couldn't seem able to point out your own room. I am not exactly sure where Aurvang went during this."

Corsen began muttering at this point; something on the topic of pecking and giving a stern talking to her human half once they finally reunited.

Kriivthi glared at the staring flamingo before she went to groom herself, explaining the events of the night before to him. His face started to heat up and red dusted his face as the thought of the stupid things he did. He vaguely remembered ghosts in echoing darkness, along with uncontrollable laughter, but not much else after that. Kriivthi nodded along with Corsen's lack of knowledge of his dæmon, giving her a sigh then stretching out his arms. He ended up staring at the curtain for a long moment, then decided to open them just a little more to simply wrestle his shoes on then close them again. Clicking his tongue once then twice, then easily navigating the dark room to the bathroom, still keeping the light off as he freshened himself up. Another click or two had echoed out then he found himself at the door way.

"You coming? Might as well look for both our other halfs since they'd probably be together" Kriivthi cooed, looking back to where he saw Corsen earlier.

---

Aurvang chuckled at the thought of Reg trying to pay his human back for it.

"Oh he'll expect payback... but not in cash" He mused, shaking his head as he dropped from his branch and shifted to a bat. The albino bat aimed directly for Reg's shoulder, landing gently and righting himself on his new perch. His bright blue eyes intently stared at the broken door, waiting to walk through it, but when no movement was made, he pinned his gaze to the ginger with dead, yet somehow questioning eyes. Looking more like a ghost than even the evening previous.

After his encounter with Aur, Jach had gone back to his room. He figured he couldn't really do anything else at that point except sleep and somehow be ready for tomorrow's lessons. Sika had joined him a little later on after he'd failed to get Corsen's attention. Mainly because he'd flown into a wall and stunned himself, but he didn't tell his human that.

Sika was already awake and preening his black feathers by the time Jach woke. The human never set an alarm, for better or worse. He hated having some loud noise startling him from sleep.

Together they headed out to find out what lessons they had. Jach watched with an amused smile as Hersch, somehow not dead to the world after the events the day before, leapt over a table and retrieved a timetable for one of the students.

While Jach was getting his own timetable, Sika flew over to the red head. 'Hey,' he said, setting down beside him. 'How's going, dude?'

From the corner of his eye, Sika saw Jach give him an odd look.

Won't be saying that again, he thought.

'Hey Hersch,' Jach called, strolled over. 'What's your first lesson?'

Coronach slept well for most of the night, sore limbs made it hard to get comfortable in a foreign bed but in the end, exhaustion won out and she slept like a log... Until she was rudely awakened from her mostly plesant dream...

The first that awoke her was Aligerous. He was constantly jumping on her, his little fox claws digging into her back's skin with each landing.

"Aye, Connie. You gotta stop sleeping." in response to that she only rolled to her side.

But the second thing that really got her up was the sound of music. At first it was kinda nice, but it seemed to swell into her room and ring around her skull, making it way too hard to think, not to mention fall back asleep.

"Fine fine i'm up." she yawned, sick of both waking tactics.

"'Bout time. You do know what day it is right?" Aligerous asked, tipping his furry little head

"School." she replied, shuffling her feet to her closet to get one of many duplicates of her tee shirts and pants, with the one black jean jacket she wore everywhere.

"Correct." he purred, shifting to raven and went over to brush down her hair with her comb.

Didn't take her long to get ready, it never did, she really just enlonged her stay in her room by taking a quick stretch. But it was hard to do that with the music. So she quickened her pace and basically ran out her room. No window jumping today.

"What is that rocky road blasted music?" Coronach rubbed the bridge of her nose, Aligerous perched on her shoulder.

"Ice cream flavor curses, nice. But I believe it's music for wake up."

"I mean obviously, but I thought it was supposed to be gentle, that was just the equivalent to sibling screams." she sighed, looking up at the line to receive the schedules.

"Perfect." Aligerous hopped onto her head, uncomfortably leaning towards the tables "Get in line before it gets too big."

Coronach sighed, getting into line. She folded her arms close to her body and stood a good inches away from the person in front of her.

"Huh?" Reg frowned at Aurvang's vague wording. The phrasing made it indicate a certain range of things, but Reginald doubted that was what the bat meant, so he decided not to inquire deeper into the subject.

Reg stiffened as Aurvang swooped across the room to settle a grip on the human's shoulder. The ginger was about to bark at the bat to kindly shove off, but upon turning his head he snapped his mouth shut. Perhaps it was partially ingrained due to Reg's prior drunken state having dealt with spectral-like beings, but the paleness of his body and ginormous blue eyes caused Aurvang have a ghostly apperance. The awkwardness of being stuck with another person's soul matched with the spookiness of the bat's stare pushed Reginald to just give into the uncomfortable situation. If not without some complaining.

"Don't blame me if you fall off or breath in smoke," Reg grumbled, walking through the door and closing it behind him. He did not often practice locking his own dorm room, but even if the redhead did, he did not have a key to lock Kriivthi's door. The ruptured lock rendered the situation null, in any case.

Reg ambled down the hallway, noting that the floor Kriivthi’s room resided on was at a much higher level than his own. Reg mumbled under his breath as he descended the stairs. Upon stepping towards the last staircase leading from the second floor down to the first, he hopped onto the railing and slid the remainder of the way to the ground level.

Reginald popped outside quickly, expertly tapping the bottom of his smoke pack against his left hand, the force pushing a cigarette out through the opening. The male seized the first stick to pop up, before lightly shaking the packet again to note there were only a few more cigarettes remaining in his current supply. Reg did not ask Aurvang if he felt alright with the action, figuring the bat could fly away from his perch atop the redhead's shoulder if it displeased him.

The ginger spent a good couple of minutes dragging on the smoke, noticing a line full of students towards the center of the courtyard. Reg signed, blowing out a final puff of smoke before deciding to join into the queue to gather his schedule.

The line seemed to take forever to move forward, agitating the redhead. He had temporarily put out his current cigarette so as to stretch out its longevity until he figured out a way to buy some more. However, the ginger was half tempted to relight the cigarette by time he’d gotten to the front of the line to calm his irritation. Either that, or to angrily light the incorrect papers the faculty woman kept handing him no matter how many times he uttered his name to her. Reg’s full name was not particularly common and the student names the woman tried to pass off to him were nothing similar enough to mix up.

Reg yanked the paper when the woman finally managed to turn over the correct one, stalking back into the building without so much as a thanks due to the waste of time he’d gone through. The male glanced over the listed classes now that he was finally certain they were his.

The initial class listing provided little information about what would entail. The listing only provided a time and location. Reg sighed, haphazardly folding the slip of paper in two as he stalked down the hall. With how long it took to get the correct schedule, it was already getting close to the time of the first class starting.

---

Corsen cocked her head to the side as Kriivthi seemed to ready himself in the near dark. He even entered the bathroom without turning on a light, the only noise he uttered some clicking sounds made with his tongue.

While Kriivthi had freshened up, Corsen shifted into her red panda form. She nodded to Kriivthi in response to his suggestion, though she was not sure he could see her in the darkness of the room, so she added a verbal response.

"Yes, hopefully before the classes start." Corsen hummed as she padded to the door, waiting for the human to open it with the use of his opposable thumbs.
