"Still good to know," Coronach shrugged "Anyways, where are we going to learn to ride? Better not be the town-they still haven't forgiven us."

They both smiled mischeviously at that memory.

"We'll head over to the campgrounds by the river. That's where the Clan is right now. We've pretty much taken over anyways. We've got a corall there for the horses and other animals we were hired to transport from upriver." Violeta replied, Heru perched on her shoulder as they left the campus.

"We might have to take a cab though, it's a bit of a hike to the river otherwise." The bird chirped, shifting to his hawk form as Violeta hailed them a cab from outside the school

((On this episode of lorelai is up to absolutely no good:))

Lorelai continued down the hall, her heels clicking rapidly against the tiled floor in sucession with her fast pace. Something, however, drew her attention.

The door appeared ordinary enough. A simple wooden door, but the claws of time had torn themselves into its surface, peeling away the stain. It was certainly not as grandiose as the door leading into the principal's office.

Lorelai, of course, knew precisely what it was.

A janitorial closet.

A wicked grin tore at the edges of Lila's rosy lips as she approached the door.

"Oh boy." She heard Azul lament over her shoulder but entirely ignored the dæmon as she approached.

Lorelai paused by the door, bringing a delicate finger to her glasses and pushing them off the bridge of her nose. They came to rest, perched up top her head. Lila's hand continued to trail upwards, digging her fingers into the precisely weaved patterns of her hair.

She pulled the bobby pins that fastened the butterfly pin to her head from their place. She daintily placed the now lose hair accessory into her purse.

Sighing wistfully at the lose of a perfectly good bobby pin, Lila placed it in her mouth, bending the edge with her teeth to form the tension wrench. She slid the newly transformed bobby pin into the shear line. Rotating the wrench, Lorelai applied pressure against the lock before sliding her second pin in. She jabbed around briefly, locating the pins within the lock. One by one, she heard the pins clicking into an unlocked position and felt the slight give inside.

Smiling brightly, Lila casted her now useless bobby pins into her purse and pushed open the door. It gave way with a creak of complaint but made no further protest.

Lorelai stepped into the dusty space,  wrinkling her nose at the unkemptness of it all. She passed by a few brooms, stepping over a fallen mop.

While it certainly was not the first time she made use of the relative darkness of one of the school's janitorial closets for her own personal... desires, this time was for a vastly different reason.

A low humm rang from her throat as she brushed her fingers over the shelves, gazing the various names of the chemicals.

Sodium hydroxide, bleach, ammonia, hydrochloric acid, borax.

While all were useful in their own right, none were what she was seeking out.

Pulling her hand back, she stared in disgust at the dust that coated her finger tip.

Rolling her eyes, Lila continued in her search, her eyes drawing her upwards towards the top most shelves.

And that's when she saw it.

A bottle clearly labeled "hydrogen peroxide"!

Lorelai brought her hands to her face, squealing in excitement as they clasped around her mouth. She bounced up and down in her joy, a reaction very similar to that of a little kid.

Lila hoisted herself up onto the first shelf, being far too short to reach the top where the precious chemical was residing.  A bit of acrobatics were involved as she scaled the various shelves, Azul watching anxiously from below.

Grasping the bottle, Lorelai lowered herself back down. She cradled the chemical to her chest, squealing once more in excitement.  A pleasant giggle bubbled from her lips.

"What are you planning to do with that?" Azul asked incredulously.

Lila's form tensed as the child-like demeanour died with Azul's words. She slowly turned her head towards him, casting a cold look in his direction before spinning on her heels and strolling out of the closet.

Azul barely made it out before Lorelai harshly closed the door with her foot. She slipped the bottle into the folds of her skirt, awkwardly holding her hands against her hips to keep it from slipping.

Lila hurriedly began to make her way up the stairs and towards her dorm room.

Aaaaaaa, sorry for that absense.

Jach had stayed quiet throughout everything, mainly because he was looking for Sika. He eventually gave up, only to be surprised with a squirrel bite to his ear. Sika must have crept up on him from behind.

(Ummmmm.... Idk what to do. I'll go off of the next post...)

"Well if you insist" Maylandi hummed, giving the red panda's ginger a small suspicious side glance before she shuffled back to her own. The speakers that lined the building crackled to life as a male voice broke through.

"Hello parents and students, my name is Felix Kaliya, I am the Principal of Leysha Ibrott. I hope you had enjoyed the buffet we provided, we'll be starting the school orientation soon here. So, if you could kindly follow the signs to the field, that would be very much appreciated, thank you, and see you there." The Principal announced, his tone sounding as friendly as can be. Hershcell sighed and hummed, leaning back and holding himself up with his elbows while his head fell as far back as it could go.

"I don't wanna go..." he mumbled, deciding to stay on the grassy spot and simply watching clouds for the time being. Kriivthi looked over to a giant sign that pointed towards the field in question, not too sure what else he needed to know about the school but he figured he'd humour it anyways.

"Well, I'm gonna go check it out... So... Yeah" He cooed, beginning to follow the signs.

Upon arriving at the destination, Kriivthi instantly noticed several rows of chairs, and a small temporary stage facing the school. The usually large field that extended to the fence boxing the faculty in was filling with people of all ages. Several staff had been going around to the people and handing out small cups of beverages. With nearly everyone having one, Kriivthi felt slightly pressured into taking one when offered. However, didn't feel like actually drinking it as the odd scent of the amber liquid made his daemon glare at it.

Reg sighed, meandering towards the field. Upon seeing the setup, the ginger had half the mind to turn around and leave. It was then that a cup was suddenly pushed into his hand, before he could either accept or decline taking it. Reginald glared at the beverage, bringing it to his nose to momenatily smell the contents.

Reg wasn't able to identify what exactly the liquid was, but he downed it in a gulp. It didn't taste particularly good, but Reg stole a second one from a passing tray and plopped down in a chair close to the back in case he got bored and felt like wandering.

He held out the emptied cup to Corsen, who tentatively lapped at leftover droplets before scrunching her nose out of distaste.

"This is not good. Why did you take another?" The red panda pawed at her nose, clearly not enjoying the flavor of the the amber sap.

"Humans don't really care about that," Reg snickered as he more slowly sipped from the second cup he'd snatched.

Lorelai -18- |Azul -Dæmon-|

The sound of heels clicking against the wooden floors echoed down the narrow corridor at which Lorelai’s room lay. Lila grasped the bronze handle, and carefully pushed the door open, slipping inside.

She shut the door with her foot, and made haste towards the back of the room.

Deep grooves in the wooden floor under the dresser indicated many years of skid marks from the heavy oaken furniture being pushed aside. True to the pattern of the marks, Lorelai heaved against it, the bureau gave way under her strength, grinding slowly to the side.

Gently tapping against the wooden floor with her fingertips, Lorelai located the hollow spot beneath the loose panel and tore it open.

The hollow underneath was remarkably spacious and mostly contained a dark duffle bag, bulging with various tressues that Lila had been hoarding over the years like a dragon. A few items were wrapped up in a leather cloth and placed in the corner, obviously sentimental given the delicate wrapping job and thoughtful placement.

The small hidden container had arisen from Lila’s need to hide certain items from Miss Stanton and other snooping students in case she ever had to flee. She had everything she needed to survive there. It was her “bug out” bag as Miss Stanton referred.

Lorelai was just barely able to make room for the hydrogen peroxide inside as she slid the wooden panel back in place and returned the dresser to its usual position.

Lila knew that she was going to need a lot more of the chemical if she wanted to pull off her next scheme. She could raid every janitorial closet in the school searching for it, but figured that the person with the most quantity of the chemical would be the nurse. Its bubbling and fizzing attributes lent itself perfectly to the disinfecting and cleaning of injuries by flushing any excess shrapnel or debris to the surface of the wound.

But that was a plan for another day. Besides, she would probably need help with collecting all the hydrogen peroxide and yeast that she needed. But the kitchen staff probably had yeast in copious quantities so Lila was not too worried about that.

Lorelai needed school to be out for a day to give her the chance to sneak back into town and reclaim the bounty Miss Stanton had taken from her. She also needed a shopping day. Her shoes were starting to wear out and it just was not a good look on her. Hence where the hydrogen peroxide came in. If all goes to plan, she could create a distraction large enough to set school back at least a few hours. Preferably the whole day given how immense clean up would be.

A pitching screech tore Lorelai’s thoughts away from her future endeavours and towards the door of her room. The intercoms were one and since Lorelai clearly failed at her earlier attempt to break in, it could only be one person.

"Hello parents and students, my name is Felix Kaliya, I am the Principal of Leysha Ibrott. I hope you have enjoyed the buffet we provided, we'll be starting the school orientation soon here. So, if you could kindly follow the signs to the field, that would be very much appreciated, thank you, and see you there."

Lorelai initially scoffed at the message, having no intention of actually attending the orientation. She had seen many, and she genuinely could not bring herself to care. Grabbing a book from her shelf, Lorelai retrieved the lighter she hid at the bottom of her panties drawer and lit a few incense in her room, the reason why it always smelled like lavender and peppermint. She settled onto her bed, curling her legs over each other.

“You know you are going to have to start talking to me at some point.” Azul said as he landed at the end of her bed, his wings fluttering gently.

“Mmm. I don’t think so.” Lorelai sang as she turned the page.

Azul rolled his eyes. “Your behaviour is extreme.”

“Extreme?” Lorelai asked incredulously. “I don’t think me not wanting to speak to you is extreme behaviour considering you lied to me my whole life.”
“I did not lie.” Azul retorted.

“No, but you did not say anything either, which is just as bad.” Lorelai snapped. “You had the ability this entire time to fix me. I could have been a singer like I always dreamed. And instead, you and your sadistic little heart thought it would be funnier to watch me suffer.”
“Now that’s not fair.” Azul sighed.

“No, I will tell you what’s not fair.” Lorelai scowled. “My mother dying was not fair.... And guess who’s fault that was? What’s not fair is that I was too afraid to even speak after that and too afraid to sing for years following. What’s not fair is the fact that I have been demonized and betrayed and feared my whole life for this. All because of you!”

Lorelai’s arm snapped towards Azul to point a finger, purple wisps sparking off her wrists in the process as her powers reacted to her emotions in an uncontrollable way.

Unfortunately for both of them, Lorelai had reached right over the burning frankincense, and flames exploded into the air, licking her arm with an intense blistering heat.

Yelping in pain Lorelai pulled her now angry red and inflamed hand away from the incense, cradling it to her chest with an expression of terror.

Trembling greatly, Lorelai turned to stare at her fingers. She was lucky nothing else had caught flame as the result of the minotaur explosion.... What the?

“It’s.... flammable.” Lila mumbled.

“A lot of forms of gas are.” Azul muttered unhelpfully.

LIla continued to stare at her aching hand, the pain pulsating with each throb of her heartbeat.

“Oh, no. I know that look.” Azul darted forward. “Don’t.”

Lorelai turned her gaze up to glance at Azul in confusion. “You think.... You think I am capable of something like that?” Her eyes hardened. “Really?” She spat. “Maybe you are but I am not a murderer like you.” She seethed and got up, briskly walking over to her drawer where she slid on some gloves.

Azul was left completely paralyised by emotion, not even the subtle twitch of his antena was noticeable as he stared wide-eyed at the wall.

Lila had never, never brought up his past like that before. He must have severely underestimated how mad she was at him. It hurt. It really hurt.

Lorelai did not make a comment as she grabbed the picnic basket she stored as a decoration in the corner of her room and strolled out the door.

Change of plans.

She was going to orientation. But first she wanted to stop by the kitchens for some sweet bread.

Roku is both repulse and

Roku is both repulse and drawn toward any number of crowd. She doesn't like people and loud noise, the first would usually spell out trouble but trouble also usually mean something is going on and it's good to keep track of that as well. Whenever there are crowd gather together back on the street, Roku would creep around in the shadow nearby, keep her eyes on it to get a little idea of what's going on and if she deemed it not important she would not stick around and use all the precious distraction the sneak by easily

So after she has finished her little lone reflection and saw that people are being called for the 'Orientation', She cautiously follow them, she hang around near the back, unnotice by most within the shadow and was immediately drawn in by food and drinks. Since most of them seem distract any way, Roku doesn't go through the elaborate plan like before and just grab some easily before retreating back to the same cornor, Watching the stage with mild interest as she mulching on and carelessly drinking the substanes. Before make a face at it and realize that it was stupid of her to do that.

Oh no...is that an adult drink? She squinted and refuse to drink anymore

Coronach nodded as Violeta spoke, wondering what her camp was like. But the crackling of speakers from behind them, coming from the school, caught her attention.

Ah crud, orientation-oh wait.

Coronach shrugged it off, orientation was kinda stupid. Telling them things they already covered in the pamphlets, besides they wandered the school well enough to understand the basic principal rules of the place. But then again...

"Get lets go faster," Aligerous churred, rolling his eyes at the vehicle that pulled up. He wasn't a fan of cars. "I'll follow from the sky-if luck has it i'll beat you there!" he laughed, taking to the skies.

Violeta smiled. The cab ride was uneventful, the camp coming into view along the river.

"We'll have to go back after, but we've got things ready to go. I called ahead before we left." She told Connie, waving as her Mother and Father came out to greet them. Her father was a big, broad man who clearly worked at a sailor, her mother a woman who clearly spent her life on the sea.

"Hey Mom! Dad, thanks for arranging this!" Violeta called as Heru poked his head out of her pocket.

"It's good to see you sweetie! And you already made a new friend!" Her mother greeted, nodding to Connie in greeting.

Kriivthi took a sip of the amber drink, it was bitter but with an oddly sweet after taste. However the sweet kick wasn't enough for him personally to keep drinking it, watching as Reg downed his first one and retrieved a second one off another tray. The raven haired male and bat glanced down at the drink once more before they sat down beside the red head and held out the cup to him.

"You want this?" Kriiv asked, giving the cup a slightly disgusted look.

Reg side-eyed the dark haired boy that'd just settled down in the chair next to him. Based on the expression adorning Kriivthi's features, it seemed he'd also sipped at the amber drink and not enjoyed it.

"Suree," Reg drawled lazily, looking at the cup being offered his way. But he didn't yet accept the handout. A roguish smile flickered across his face for a moment. "Although... sure you don't want to try some more? Don't really know what it is, but I'm hoping on it getting me through this bore some way or another."

Reginald kicked back the rest of his own partially emptied cup, finishing it in a few swallows. He shook his head after the shot, shrugging off a small grimace. Despite willingly ingesting the beverage, Reg couldn't admit it was very tasty.

Lorelai -18- |Azul -Dæmon-|

‘Okay, now is the time to go.’

Lorelai thought as she rolled out from behind the shady cover the cafeteria tables provided and sped across the floor, vaulting over the counter top. She ducked behind it, regulating her breathing just as Brenda’s head snapped around to stare at the cafeteria counter.

Brenda was one of the lunch ladies- and someone that Lorelai definitely did not want to get caught by.

A twisted grin spread across Lila’s features as she listened to the retreating footsteps of Brenda.

Creeping across the floor barefoot, Lorelai stealthily slipped into the back. She quickly took cover to find cover behind a metal shelf as another staff passed her by.

Peering out from around the corner, Lorelai hoisted herself up and quickly rolled past the turned form of the kitchen staff and came to a quiet crouch under a table.

She followed her nose towards the ovens, discreetly dodging any staff members.

Finally she reached the ovens and the fresh baked bread that they had made for the new kids. She grabbed a few rolls and stuffed them into her basket along with a few desserts for that night’s supper.

Grinning, Lorelai snagged a few pieces of fruit on her way back. Now hindered by the contents within her basket, Lorelai moved much more slowly towards the exit. She had to move, then pause and wait in a hidden location for someone to pass her before once again moving.

Her gait, however, was measured and practiced, suggesting that she was accustomed to sneaking in and stealing food from the kitchen.

She reached the door, moving her fingers to grasp the handle when it suddenly moved.

Lila’s mouth opened in a quiet gasp as she quickly jumped back, diving underneath the cloth on a catering table. A stray piece of bread rolled onto the floor, dislodged by the sudden movements.

Lorelai calmed her racing heart as she gazed past the cloth at the floor. The cloth obscured most of the view but she was able to see a pair of shoes shuffling past her cart. They paused, the toe nudging against the stray bread.

Lila listened to the sound of her heart pounding in her ears as she stared.

A pale hand accompanied the shoes, reaching down to pluck up the bread on the floor. “Wasting food is not the directive.” The obnoxiously sweet voice said in a tone that almost conveyed irritation.

Lila released a silent sigh of relief as she listened to the footsteps retreating deeper into the kitchen.

Seizing the moment, she slipped out and quickly launched herself over the counter, landing gracefully on the tile floor.

Hurrying out of the cafeteria, she retrieved the heels she had left by the entrance and buckled them to her feet before continuing on towards the courtyard.

Emerging into the sun, Lorelai sashayed down the winding pathway, a happy skip in her languid gate as she moved towards the stage they had set up in the field.

A staff member shoved a cup containing an amber liquid into her hands. Lorelai glanced down at it and rolled her eyes, immediately pouring the substance out onto the ground as she looked around for the girl who matched Azul’s description of Violeta. But the results of the search remained inconclusive, causing Lila to furrow her brow.

‘Did... did Bread Girl ditch?’

Lorelai could not help the wide grin that spread across her features nor the small laugh that bubbled in the back of her throat.

‘I like her already’.

Unfortunately, it meant that the bread she had collected was a waste of time.

Well... maybe not a complete waste of time.

With a new plan, Lorelai placed the cup in a vacant chair, Lorelai reached into her bag and pulled out an apple. She bit into it with a crisp crunch and sauntered off and over the soft crest of a small hill.

She noticed a familiar figure lounging in the grass and tilted her head, taking another bite of the apple.

A perfect moment to pitch her idea without being ganged up upon by his goons.

She headed down the hill, strolling over to where Hershcell lay and rather unceremoniously plopped herself down next to him.

“Care for some dessert?” She hummed as she opened her asket, plucking the food item she stole up from inside and offering it to her ex.

Kriivthi watched Reg shoot back the drink, then glanced around to the stage where some staff members were setting up last minute necessities. His bright blue eyes dropped down to the drink in his hand as he thought, the bat on his shoulder letting out a small hiss as he pieced together his human's thought process.

"Kriivthi don't you dar-" Aurvang barked, but ended up letting out an aggitated growl as the raven haired male downed the drink. The bitter taste overrided the sweetness and scrunched up Kriiv's face, but instantly became confused by the aftertaste.

"Kinda tastes like cherries after... Or some kind of berry or something" He cooed, putting the cup down, his dæmon still dumbfounded by his actions. Then looked over to the red panda with a questioning stare, as if asking is this was normal for her human.

Herschell started projecting images of what he saw in the clouds, only getting brought back to reality by a shadow sitting itself beside him.

“Care for some dessert?” The purple waves fluttered across his vision and he let out a quiet sigh, resting on his elbows and lazily looking at his ex.

"I'm assuming you want something" He deadpanned. Maylandi tilted her head to the newcomer, still looking around for the little blue butterfly she could hopefully jokingly bother.

""I'm assuming you want something." Hershchell responded in a flat tone.

Lorelai pouted, seemingly upset that he did not bother to humour her. Feigning innocence, she smiled. "Oh, you see right through me." She laughed. "It's a peace offering. I am taking my ego and shoving it up my a.ss by asking for your help." She paused briefly in contemplation then continued. "Don't make any jokes about the things I have up my a.ss it's not original." She purred before turning her attentions to Maylandi with a soft smile.

She was always fond of the dæmon, even though she and Hershchell were not currently on speaking terms. "I'm sorry, little love. But he isnt here." She murmured, assuming that Maylandi was searching for Azul.

Azul was always near by, even if he was not distinctly noticable so it was definitely odd for him not to be around at all.

Kriivthi's daemon warned against his human following Reg's example, but to no avail. The black haired male downed his cup in a similar manner to how Reg had only moments before.

"Guess it does," Reg acknowledged coarsely, trying to judge for himself the aftertaste left on his tastebuds.

Corsen did not look surprised by Reginald's behavior, evident as per the confounded glance she sent back to Aurvang that said, 'You don't even know'.

Reg suddenly frowned, as if realizing he'd just gotten rid of his easiest refill by encouraging Kriivthi to drink it himself.

"Psst, Corsen," Reg beckoned, holding out the cup towards the red panda.

"I'm not duplicating that," The fur on Corsen's back bristled as she snapped back. "We don't even know what it is."

Reginald sat back in his seat with a dejected sigh, but figured she was right. He had drank a considerable amount, taking into account he didn't actually know the contents.

"At least i'm not bored out of my mind back there, even a little trip like this is appreciated," Coronach grinned, getting out of the car when it pulled to a stop before Violeta's village. She glanced around, unaware of Violeta's parents greeting her.

"Hey, you're being welcomed." Aligerous told her, landing on her shoulder and fixing her hair again "Pay attention,"

"Augh right," she blinked back, having to rub her eyes "Thanks for having me." she grinned, she never really knew what to say in these types of things

"Thanks Dad, glad we were able to get things ready. Come on, Connie, I'll take you over to the horses." She told her friend as Heru hovered in his owl form.

"I'm looking forward to this. Just remember that Violeta isn't an expert but she knows enough to keep her seat on her horse." Heru reminded the girl and her black shimmering Daemon, his own feathers shimmering in more of a golden color

Ithiel Rosaire Seaghdha | Valefar

Ithiel woke up to soft rays of sunlight warming him. He was cocooned in a bundle of blankets, iridescent locks spewing around him. Reluctantly, he sat up and rubbed the sleep off his eyes. He glanced at the portable clock on his bedside table, eyes widening when he realized what time it was.

“Val?” he called out, head snapping left and right as he looked for the daemon. He spotted him in his robin form by the window, basking in the sunlight.

“Mornin’ El,” Valefar greeted.

“You’ve been up this whole time? Why didn’t you wake me too?” he rambled as he rushed to the bathroom, not waiting for Valefar’s answer. He took a quick bath and grabbed the first set of clothes he found: a black sleeveless top paired with a beige cropped high neck pullover, and a pair of slim black slacks. He came out with a hairbrush tangled in his hair, hurriedly but carefully trying to tame it. Swiftly, he weaved his locks into a somewhat loose braid that he draped over his shoulder. Once he was finished, Valefar flew over and nestled in his braid.

“You were sleeping soundly and it’s only orientation day,” he spoke up. Ithiel raised his brow before realizing the daemon was referring to his earlier question.

“Well, it's still an important day. It wouldn't do to miss it," he reasoned as he slipped into a pair of white sneakers.

"It's optional."

"And also an opportunity to get a good look of the area and see what kind of people are in it," Ithiel pointed out, "It'd do much to ease your mind, wouldn't it? You've been quite jittery since we arrived yesterday."

Valefar fell silent. Then, he chuckled. "So have you. Why else did you sleep like a bundled insect last night.”

Ithiel huffed out a laugh and said nothing more. With that, he left for the field.

----------------------------------

As Ithiel fast walked to where the orientation was, a faculty member intercepted and handed him a paper. She explained it was the class registration sheet and apparently, he was among the last people who had yet to fill it out. Ithiel thanked the teacher and skimmed the content, only for Valefar to peck his shoulder from where he was hidden within the human’s hair. Ithiel kept his eyes on the slip of paper but his mind focused on his daemon, wondering what he was trying to convey. Noting as he refused to speak, Ithiel assumed he didn’t want the older woman to hear.

“I’m sorry, can I fill this out later? I’ll submit it after the orientation,” he asked, gesturing to the general direction where the orientation was held.

“Oh, we need it as soon as possible. There aren’t many options in secondary classes for first years anyway so it won’t take long,” she replied, her polite smile poorly masking her intent of rushing the boy.

Ithiel smiled back and gently shook his head. “I understand but I still need to think it through. The orientation is also starting soon and I’d rather be there a little bit early.” It was then Valefar switched from pecking to tugging his hair, just enough to let his human know of the urgency. Getting the message, Ithiel jogged away and uttered over his shoulder, “I’ll hand it over as soon as it’s over!”. He ignored the teacher’s call, knowing he wouldn't get in trouble either way.

Arriving in the field where the orientation was to be held, Ithiel walked over to a generously shaded area. He made sure no one was too near before taking a look at the sheet of paper again. He reached to his shoulder, poking at the fluffy lump there.

"What is it, Val?"

Valefar jumped off onto the human's wrist, pointing to the daemon questionnaire section. "There’s a reason why we’ve both been restless since arriving here. I’m not sure what it is yet but something’s not right. Doesn’t help that that woman personally handed you this and acted off. We should just vaguely answer these.” He pointed to the age section. “This one, for starters. I doubt my bearing pass off as a young daemon but it’s not wise to tell the truth.”

Ithiel hummed. “Maybe like… ‘middle age’?”

“Too old.”

“‘Late thirties?’”

Valefar cocked his head, giving it some thought but mostly unconvinced.

“‘Older than me?’”

Valefar pointed his wing at Ithiel and nodded. If he were a human, he would probably snap his fingers and point at the younger. Ithiel wrote it down then moved on to the next question.

How many powers does your dæmon have?

“Powers…” Ithiel frowned, recalling when he first utilized their shared power. He still felt ambivalent about it. “Should we leave out our shared ones?”

“Elemental Manipulation is amongst the common powers a daemon can possess,” Valefar explained, “I say we write that one down and leave out the rest.” Ithiel nodded and did just that.

On a scale of 1-10, how much control do you have over these powers?

His frown deepened at the question, though he said nothing as he wrote ‘5’.

How far can your dæmon travel from you?

“Maybe around five stories high?” he offered, waiting for Valefar’s answering nod before writing that down.

Are you able to feel the injuries of your dæmon and vice versa?

Ithiel turned to Valefar, unsure of what to answer. The daemon once told him that those with a close bond can feel each other’s pain be it physical or emotional. Valefar never told him whether he felt that, even now he simply stayed silent, but Ithiel was sure such a thing never happened to him. Although, it could be that the daemon’s silence was a hint for him to answer no. With that in mind, he wrote that down and completed the rest of the form. While he did so, Valefar hopped back into his braid, mostly hiding himself within the iridescent locks.

Seeing as the orientation was still in preparation, Ithiel went back inside and headed to the office where the forms were submitted. Afterwards, he returned to the field. While approaching the setup, a cup filled with amber liquid was suddenly shoved towards him. It happened so quickly that Ithiel instinctively grabbed it before he could think otherwise. He swirled the content, wondering what it was. Looking around, he saw some downed it while others seemed skeptical, even to the point of dumping it. Though curious, Ithiel decided to simply hold on to it for the time being.

Maylandi slightly whined before dropping her head on her paws, settling to just aimlessly stare at the two humans. Herschell squinted his eyes and pulled his lips to the side in thought.

"Was actually going to question if your a.ss was big enough to hold your ego, but I digress" his voice purred. Now, fully sitting up and stretching his arms out with a long yawn.

"So... Why do you think I'm going to help?" he chirped, tossing on a lazy smile and cocking his head to Lila.

----

Aurvang rolled his eyes to the red panda's silent response, now placing the ginger on the fence of possibly avoiding. Elongating his body and slithering over to the discarded cup to take an examing sniff, he didn't have much trust for people in general. But, after a certain incident a month or so prior, his trust for this place had dropped a considerable amount, especially for the staff. However, he wasn't given the chance to voice his complaint as the mics ringing had grabbed people's attention. Everyone taking their seats and focusing on the lady that stood up on the stage. She had medium brown hair and warm pale skin, and her voice was an odd mix of calm and excited as she spoke.

"Hello! Welcome to our lovely school, I trust you had enjoyed the buffet, and were able to check out the classes that I and many others were showcasing. My name is Zeva Dishanti, I teach the kids the best ways to control the powers they're gifted, and how to keep their dæmon's under control" Aurvang narrowed his eyes at the comment, expecting his human to have glared with him, but had only settled on a head tilt. Making the snake question the drink even more, and the weak joke the teacher cracked had oddly made Kriivthi smile, even it was only small. Aurvang then noticed only those who did actually drink the liquid responded positively to it. Which just so happened to be most of the people.

"Now, let me introduce you to the important people" She aspirated, smiling as she pointed towards three other adults standing off to the side.

"Miss Stanton, our best school councilor, also takes on the majority of the psychically active classes, she is well respected among the school." Zeva explained, pointing to a lady with platinum blonde hair that stood poised as she cooly looked around the crowd with a sweet smile. She then gestured to a man in a dark grey blue suit. His golden blond hair was more wild than the lady's, but at the same time, it was oddly tamed for the style. Aurvang couldn't help but picture him as a lion.

"Our Vice Principal, Alec Le Guin" She cooed, his name spoken in more of a French accent.

"He's the most hands on with your children's schooling, and overlooks all the classes we have here. Making sure all the kids are able to keep up. Thanks to him, a vast majority of our students have excelled in their adulthood. " She praised, Alec waved his hand with a large smile.

"And our Principal, Felix Kaliya" She smiled, handing the mic over to the tall man. The man's hair was more golden than the lady's but paler than the other male's.

"Welcome to Leysha Ibrott, we're here to help you and your dæmons grow and hopefully find a place in society fitting to your wants and talents" He started, looking over the faces of the students mostly.

"Are you going to seperate this thing from my kid?" One parent snapped from the seats, glaring at the little calico cat that sat neatly in between the daughter's legs. Felix dipped his head, breathing out a hesitant sigh.

"Our job is to help your kids with their dæmon's, and lead a successful life after they graduate" He smiled.

"So... Why do you think I'm going to help?" Herschell cooed, a cocky grin spreading lazily across his features.

Lorelai returned the expression with a lackadaisical grin of her own.

"Retribution." She hummed, drawing out the ensuing pause. She neatly tucked her legs underneath her skirts, tossing Herschell one of the desserts she had stolen. She leaned back on her plams, lifting her chin towards the sky.

"I know I have not been the only one at the receiving end of Miss Stanton's.... needless agressions. I have suffered through my fair share of abuses. Belt lashes, solitary confinement, brusises, the usual.  And given your behvaiour, I am willing to bet that you have as well." She finally turned her attention back towards Herschell. "And I do believe that it is high time Miss Stanton becomes the one put in time-out." Her eyes sparkled with a poorly disgused excited mischief. "Don't you think it is about time someone knocks her down a few pegs and shows her that she cannot continue to bully us like this? It can be like the old days!" A giggle burst from her throat. "Do you remember that time we snuck a cow up onto the second story and discovered that cows are apparently incapable of walking down stairs? Something about the way their joints work. Poor Betty was stuck on the balcony for nearly the whole day." Lorelai's gaze gleamed with nostalgia, her voice shaking with poorly concealed laughter.

"Ah see this is where we should go during our free times," Aligerous churred, spreading open his wings in the nearly open space as Connie followed Violeta to the other horses. "Beats sitting in that dusty, rotting garden."

"Hey! I thought you liked that garden..." Coronach blinked at her daemon, surprised that he would say such a thing

"It's fine, but nothing as freeing as this."

Violeta and Heru had to laugh at that, the Daemon shifting to his silk moth form.

"Trust me, it's more fun being on the river than in some garden." Heru commented, leading them over to where the horses were kept. There was a beautiful conomera mare saddled up and waiting for them.

"So, Connie, you want to ride your Daemon or do you want to ride one of our horses for your beginner's lesson?" Violeta asked, going into the corral and bringing her Conomera over to them, the black and white horse whinnying in greeting. The name on the bridle said "Stardust", a fitting name given the star mark on her forehead

"Connie, I love you-but if you choose that horse instead of me then it's over." Aligerous stared her down, hopping off her shoulder and shifting to his own horse form, to stand next to the Connemara in a comparing way.

"I'll just stick with Aligerous, besides I know him a bit better-but this girl is quite lovely."

"Her name's Stardust, for the star mark on her forehead. She's going to a noble family in town the day after tomorrow for their daughter's birthday! Conomara come from up north and are prized for their strength and beauty." Heru commented, shifting to an owl again and landing on the horse's head between her ears, the horse snorting like she didn't even care. Violeta smiled, swinging up onto the horse's back and settled into the saddle.

"It's true, she's bred from a prize stock from a breeder we work with. They often hire us to bring their horses down here for them." Violeta told her friend, making sure her straps were the right length.

"First thing that you want to do with a horse, other than making sure your straps and girth are secure, is make sure you're positioned right in the saddle. Back straight, shoulders back and ankles aligned with your spine and butt with the heels down to keep them in your stirrups. If you have them anyways. But even if you ride bareback like you do with Gregous, you should use the same posture since it's a good way to keep your balance. The worst thing you can do is look down when the horse is moving." Violeta instructed, giving the Conomera a nudge to get her moving, her eyes straight and forward as she spoke to prove her point.

"Leta learned that the hard way: look down with the horse moving, you end up flat on your face. She chipped a tooth doing that once." the shimmering red hawk that was Heru chimed in, flying over to sit on the rail of the corral. This information was riding basics 101, every rider knew this and the basic gaits. Which was what Violeta planned to teach Connie today so she could ride her Daemon safely in his larger form. She was no expert by any means, but she knew enough to keep her seat at a good clip.

Reginald squinted at the various figures on stage. For some reason, the young male's attention span was shot even worse than usual. He was struggling to tell apart the two blonde males that were introduced, forgetting their names almost as soon as they were anounced by the initial darker haired teacher.

Despite not really able to comprehend to the words due to drinking too much of the mysterious liquid, Reg felt uncharacteristically inclinded towards the people's speech, nodding along as if he were paying attention. Corsen stared up at her human in bewilderment, never having seen him hang onto an authority figure's words before, save from perhaps his own mother.

"Reg," Corsen hissed, trying to capture the redhead's attention towards the end of the current segment of the orientation. While the daemon was not unused to the human ignoring her, she could sense there was something very off about his behavior.
"Reginald," Corsen dared, using his full name, something the ginger often showed a heavy dislike towards. Yet, there was still no response. Corsen's eyes bugged out of her head when Reg didn't snap or glare at her.

"He's posioned," Corsen wailed, digging at the pantsleg of Reg's jeans out of distress.

Neveah | Drishti

The Principal's amplified voice rang out across the school grounds, solving Neve's question of what she should do now. “Follow the signs to the field...” she sighed, half amused, half annoyed. Then again, she had denied the school's offer of assigning someone to help her, claiming she could get around by herself just fine. And she could. Or well, they could.

Instead of responding verbally, Drishti squeezed her shoulders and began steering them to the field. Though she was pretty sure this was something she could have found on her own as well, just by following the mass of footsteps suddenly thrumming in that direction. He guided her to what he warned was a chair, and she had barely sat down before someone approached her to press a cup into her hand, there and gone again before she had time to decline or even say thank you.

Neveah sniffed at the cup, frowning at it despite not actually being able to see it. It smelled…strange. Not entirely unpleasant, but not familiar either. She took a small sip, wrinkling her nose and deciding she didn’t like it. She felt Drishti dip his tongue into the liquid, taking a moment to taste before pulling away, apparently not caring for it either. Neve leaned down to set the cup on the ground, a little to the side so she would hopefully not accidentally kick it over.

The pressure around her shoulders suddenly disappeared, being replaced by the grip of small talons as Drishti shifted to his magpie form. He would likely settle as a snake, seeing as he spent so much time in that form already, but she got the sense that he just wanted to enjoy his other forms sometimes, while he still could.

Neve didn’t comment on his transformation, instead tugging at the soundwaves around them to listen in on conversations the same way she’d done back in the courtyard. Many people were talking about the drink, some debating whether to drink it or not or sharing their thoughts if they already had. The general consensus seemed to be that it wasn’t very good, which made Neve wonder what it was and why it had apparently been handed out to everyone.

Her thoughts were interrupted by microphone feedback piercing the air, drawing her attention to the staff on the stage. She listened quietly, matching names to designations and voices but not images in her head.

Years ago, when they were still figuring things out, she’d asked Drishti to describe everyone they encountered, down to the most minute detail. Looking back, she recognized it as an attempt to hold on to sight, trying to make the world around her visible even though she couldn’t see it anymore. But as her memories began to blur and fade, she stopped doing that.

Now she imagined what they looked like in her head, based on how they sounded and walked and acted. She definitely pictured Lorelai, for example, with long hair dyed some bright bold colour (she leaned towards purple, but she suspected that might just be based on the girl’s preferred nickname). It served as a way for her to tell people apart and recognize them, and it didn’t matter if the image in her head fit the person’s actual appearance or was even close to it.

A sharp voice cut through the monotony of the introductions, a parent demanding whether the school was going to separate what she assumed was a dæmon from their child. Neve frowned slightly. Although her parents hadn’t been thrilled about her bonding with Drishti, they hadn’t actually taken steps to separate them. In fact, the most they’d done in response was send her to this school.

“Our job is to help your kids with their dæmons, and lead a successful life after they graduate,” the Principal answered smoothly after a moment’s hesitation, making Neve tilt her head slightly. That’s…not an answer?

Before she could dwell on that any longer, she heard a female voice cry out in distress behind her. Neve turned around in her seat, Drishti also turning on her shoulder to tell her the sound came from a red panda, clawing at a boy’s leg as she shrieked.

From his bemused tone, Neve gathered that the maybe-poisoned victim was not convulsing on the ground or showing any other visible sign of distress, which made her wonder why the dæmon thought he was. Maybe a prank or a bid for attention, but the emotion sounded genuine. Seeing as she couldn’t do much, she waited for people to react. Surely she couldn’t be the only one to hear the screams.

As the orientation started, Ithiel searched for the last seats available. He ended up sitting in the back row at the leftmost chair, giving him enough space to not feel cramped. While the academic staff introduced themselves, he glanced at the cup once more, still curious of what the drink was. He was about to try it when Valefar pecked his shoulder so harshly that he jolted in his seat. He raised his brow, shooting the daemon a questioning look.

“Don’t,” Valefar said curtly, nodding his head towards the other attendants. It was then Ithiel noticed several distressed daemons fussing over their humans, seemingly trying to get their attention but to no avail. One even screamed, claiming her human was poisoned. On the contrary, the humans were transfixed to the stage, nodding along to whatever the staff were saying. At the sight, Ithiel felt a chill run down his spine.

“You think it’s caused by this?” he asked, gesturing at the cup.

“Yes. Mostly, they drank it while the daemons seemed averse to it,” he relayed, “It’s one thing if it’s just a daemon but it’s many daemons reacting negatively to something. Not to mention I’m highly suspicious of it as well.”

Ithiel had half the mind to toss the cup as far away as possible. If he had less self-control, he probably would’ve done just that. “What do we do then?” he whispered, clutching tightly at the cup in an attempt to still his trembling hands.

Valefar turned to the stage. Despite their smile, the staff members watched over the audience like a hawk. “Let’s wait and see what’ll happen. Also, keep your gaze on the stage. Just play along for the time being. I’ll be on the lookout.”

Roku made a displeased face

Roku made a displeased face and a lot growl at the sight of Mr. Le Guin and shrink away further into the cornor. Hand still clutched the offended drink even when she already made up her mind not to drink anymore.

"Our job is to help your kids with their daemon's, lead a sucessful life after they graduate" One of the important-looking male answered the parent. To Roku it seems like any other lies adults would spewed to keep them in place, promising a sucessful life. The daemon part though, isn't something new to Roku. During the Time Le Guin kept her and asking her question. Roku already have a feeling they seems especailly interest in daemons. As most of the question was about Yagi. Roku doesn't answer much both from the stubborness and how she truely doesn't know much about her daemon at all. One thing she had to say though after starting to gather what they want out of her and Yagi was;

"Yagi is not a pet" She told them "He is not a friends. He can't be control. He can't be trust"

This seemed to have made them realized something strange about the relationship between this child and the daemon and perhaps either wanting to appease her to want her to cooperate or just letting the cat out of that bag, they told her they could help her with Yagi situation in this school. Be it controling him or make sure he wouldn't bother her like that.

Roku doubt they can. But it would be fun to see them try and if they really did suceess...well that's one problem sloved for her.

Almost as if he knew she's thinking about him. Yagi appeared from the shadow with the recognizable "Yo" his claw digged painfully into her shoulder (probably intentional) as he perch there. He seemed....a little off, uncharacteristically chirpy "Can you believe these guys? what a bunch of clowns"

For once, Roku agreed and start to think that this is the waste of time as none of this truly interested her and yet she doesn't want to leave and continue staring at the stage. strangely drawn to what little is happening...could happening.

Coronach also hopped up onto Aligerous's back, trying to position herself like Violeta instructed-it felt weird.

Herschell caught the dessert as he listened, chuckling at the girl's assumtion of being caught by the lady. He took a small bite of the pastry before tossing it to Maylandi, who eagerly devoured the treat. The ginger was instantly brought back to the day they snuck a cow on campus, his smile widening at the events that lead up to that.

"Right, the school shut down for a whole day" He breathed, not entirely sure how the school got the creature down, but remembered being more than excited to have the day free of classes.

"Alright... What do you have planned?" He purred.

----

Aurvang immediately jumped onto Kriivthi at Corsen's wailing, hiding himself and the teen from wandering eyes. But when only a few looked over, he slowly unvailed himself and held his now snake form over to the red panda.

"Hey!" He hissed, Kriivthi had managed to pull his attention from the stage to stare at the little animal still clawing at her human's leg. Figuring he should lightly pat the ginger's shoulder to get his attention, but ended up just simply staring at the red panda with a dumbfounded stare. Felix had pulled his attention to the commotion, but upon noticing it was just a dæmon screaming, he carried on.

"I'm aware many of you don't appreciate your children's dæmons. But, we do our best to make sure they still reach their full potentional. Both academically, and emotionally as we help them through these tough years to come."

"Alright, alright, that's enough you two. Let's focus on riding 101." Heru told the other girl and her Daemon, perching on Stardust's head as a silk moth.

"Heru's right, we should keep focused. Now, there are four gaits on a horse, that's the term for speed. It goes walk, trot, canter, gallop. They move at the same pace as a human, so that makes it easier for us. We'll start with the walk and trot speeds to see how you do." *Quick catchup*

He didn't particularly want to go to the orientation, so Jach kinda... fake slept until Lila turned up. As soon as he heard her he ever so slowly slunk away, with Sika riding on his shoulder in squirrel form. He would have just wandered around the whole day if a teacher hadn't spotted him and spun him in the direction of the orientation. With a sigh he slumped over there, having a drink of some odd sort pushed into his hands before he could say otherwise. It looked... Questionable.

He spotted Kriiv and Reg quickly and wandered over to them. As he approached, he frowned, seeing and hearing the screaming daemon. Sika leapt to the ground and ran over to see what was wrong with the red panda.

'Hey?' Jach said, taking the seat behind the two. 'What's wrong?'

Then grumpily grumbling as he coiled around his human. Kriivthi let out a long shaky breath, still semi transparent to everyone's view.

Herschell nodded along to the plan and agreed, then stood and stretched his arms out, glancing at the signs towards orientation.

"Want to go check out what's going on there for the time being?" he hummed, lazily looking to his ex.

'Sorry...' Jach mumbled. He took a gulp of the weird drink and grimaced. 'What is this?' Gingerly, he put the cup on the ground under his chair and glanced up at the stage. He hadn't been paying attention to it and had no idea what was going on.

Sika shifted to his lynx form and gently patted Corsen to get the daemon's attention. 'What is it?'

Herschell rolled to his feet, stretching out as his eyes strayed towards the orientation signs. "Want to go check out what's going on there for the time being?"

Lorelai followed his gaze and sighed. "Really?" She gracefully rose up, dusting the grass from her skirts.

She noticed Herachell's gaze on her and sighed once more.

"I doubt it is anything we have not seen before." She hummed, placing her hands on her hips as she returned Herschell's stare. "But seeing as I haven't anything better to do." She shrugged and picked up her basket, slinging it over her shoulder.

Lila took a few steps forward before pausing with a contemplatively tilt to her head. She turned on her heel to look back at her ex. "So... what do you say? Partners again?" She asked in a playfully teasing tone, extending a hand towards him. There was a coy twinkle in her eye and a mischievous smirk plastered to her face. Even though they were no longer dating, it was hard to argue that they did not make a really good team when it came to getting into hijinks.

Reginald Eason Pierce | Corsen

Corsen dithered for a moment as she considered Sika's speculation. Corsen had experience with alcohol, a substance that easily rendered humans intoxicated. Reginald had dabbled with a few in the past, when he could get away with it. While Corsen did not understand why humans seemed fine with, or even needy, to be left in a inebriated state, she thought they still had some sort of function left after most drinks. Perhaps the alcohol content of the drink in question was just so high that just two cups had reduced Reg's concious state so wholly and rapidly.

"I guess you're right," Corsen hesitantly accepted Sika's suggession as to what happened, though the daemon could not shake the feeling that the drink had been tampered with further than merely containing a strong liquor. Despite her theory, the red panda could not place the reason as to why that would be the case.

"But it seems very strong," Corsen added, looking back towards the stage, feeling a bit spooked by the atmosphere. "I still don't think anyone else should consume it."

'Same,' Sika said. He jumped up onto a chair and looked around at the humans he could see. Most of them seemed fixed on the person speaking on stage, though a couple were in a state similar to Reg and Kriivthi's.

'It's got an odd smell,' he said, leaping back to the ground.

'And it tastes the worst,' Jach added.

    'Shall I--'

    'For once, I agree.'

Sika nodded and shifted to his crow form, taking to the wing and circling above them.

'He's going to see if he can find where the drinks are coming from,' Jach informed Corsen.
