'Cause It's a Musical!
Hey guys! I'm a musical theatre kid (kinda, kid doesn't really work) and have been trying to watch more musicals. Do you guys have any suggestions? If you do tell me why you liked it! Or if you think it's family friendly, or PG13. (also, do I have any fellow musical friends?) Just wanted to find some more musicals to watch. :)
A few of the more popular ones I have watched or been in:
Phantom
Le Mis (will be finishing it soon)
Newsies (both verisons)
Joseph and the amazing tecnocolored dreamcoat (I was in that one)
Chitty chitty bang bang (again, I was in that one)
Pirates of Penzance (I don't know if it's popular or not though)
Sound of Music
Annie
Dear Evan Hansen (only sorta though)
Marry Poppins
Plus a few more lesser known ones. Which ones have you guys watched?
I think it was a traditional, not a musical one but we did an event with only musical acts. But overall we was just acting.
It was a simple play acting like singing stars. Nothing impressive, and in my other acts at least a song near the end. I like both sides, sometimes being like a protagonist and others a simple extra.
I've heard of hairspray and it's on my list of musicals to watch, thanks for the suggestion! I'll have to make sure to watch it soon!
"Although I don't know what this is in this forum, but well." I think you're asking why I posted this forum topic on SOD? Good question! (I put it in things not related to SOD in case you're wondering) I just wanted to know if there were any other musical fans on forum. I know there have been MANY topics which don't connect to SOD very much at all, already on here. Why is this the one that bothers you? Anyway I meant no harm in posting about musicals, I'm just also lonely and wont be able to do a production (with my theatre group) of My Son Pinoccio (I got Sue! the part I wanted!) until this fall. Have you done any theatre (musical or not) before? Well, hope you have a lovely day!
