Cancel membership made through Steam wallet
I'd post this question in the Steam forums, but I can't seem to find a thread similar to my situation so I'll try asking here since I've seen a similar case, though that user must've used another form of payment that's not Steam.
I purchased a 1-month membership 30 days ago and my membership will end tomorrow. However, my steam contacted me saying "Billing failed", or something like that (Probably tried to take $10 off my Steam wallet but I only have a few cents in there). The only option there was "close window", and nothing else. I didn't know membership automatically renews itself, and I'd rather stop my membership now. Because I only purchased 1-month for the sake of access to all locked maps and quests (and of course the free dragons that comes with those maps).
Now that I'm over and done with what I wanted, what will happen if I simply kept playing this game? Do I need to do something to manually cancel my membership? Because I'm worried if I gain Steam credits (either through purchasing steam cards or selling my in-game items), SOD would slurp it up.
Nothing you created during membership will be deleted. You just lose access to everything that is membership exclusive (Toothless, membership quests et. al.)
Everything you started before membership runs out ends normally and you get all rewards. You can, however, no longer start exclusive items like the fish trap.
You need to email support@schoolofdragons.com to get your membership canceled.
You're welcome. :)
Saw on your post below that you were able to get your membership canceled. Glad everything worked out for you. :)
What'll happen when I lose membership?
Will my second viking suddenly get deleted? (Or my main viking getting deleted accidentally by the game?)
Will the fish trap consume my fishes?
Will the membership quest that is currently ongoing cancel?
