Doug the aries

While Kalden only expressed his concern, Sauren physically grabbed and heaved Doug back away from the railing. Doug at least has a common sense to stop attempting to go for a second attempt and only has a mixture of confused excitement on his face when he looked back at Sauren. Not the kind that outright questioning or would continue on the conversation though.

Tirali carefully pried Silverscale off her shoulder, wincing slightly as his claws snagged. She examined him and pronounced the verdict, "He seems just fine, I can't see a single mark. But follow Tanto's example next time, instead of jumping into dangerous things," the last bit addressed to the little dragon. Tirali replaced him on her shoulder and rubbed his head. "And don't worry, I'm completely fine if you start saying random stuff about dragons. I personally like reading myths-" She was cut off by Doug jumping onto the railing like Luca had done, looking very excited to try leaning off the edge and apparently not noticing the wind had stopped. Luckily though, another teen stepped in and pulled him off, none too gently, and set him back on solid ground. "Do ya think he would've actually tried to lean off?" Tirali asked Kyra. Silverscale chirped a long and slightly sarcastic-sounding reply, probably something like 'yeah, definitely, and then I would've had to rescue him, because that's what brave and heroic dragons do'. Tirali tried to glare at him, it was kind of hard because he was on her shoulder. "I wasn't asking you, ya little goofball."

"Probably, Doug certainly seems reckless enough. He's a fire and Earth aligned elemental, not wind. Even I know not to pull stunts like that. For me it's plants and tech." Kyra replied, glancing at her friend. She was glad Silverscale wasn't hurt. She giggled at the dragon's sarcastic chirping.

"Yeah, dragons are brave little creatures. But I think you better save rescue work for the bigger ones." She told the dragon, pointing up as a dragon flew overhead with a roar. It was a large fire aligned breed, most likely a Thunderscale from the lightning trailing it. No doubt it was from one of the school's riding classes. She'd looked it up online, and they had dragon riding, griffin riding (Both winged and wingless), and all sorts of riding classes! They also had student patrols and judging from that armor the dragon was wearing, the Thunderscale was one of those patrol units.

Sauren none-to-gently yanked the young Fire sign off the railing, pulling him back to the ground and reprimanding him with a simple, "Id.iot,". Despite her rough method, Kalden was glad she had physically intervened before something bad happened to Doug.

What's with these rambunctious Fire signs... Kalden thought, shaking his head at the situation. However, Doug looked rather dazed after he had been pulled back in from the edge. He seemed to look silently at the girl who had saved him. Kalden thought Doug had probably been shaken enough and decided to just ask about the boy's wellbeing for now.

"Are you okay?" The Virgo inquired.

"Me? Why wouldn't I be?" Doug turned to ask Kalden, confused by the older boy's concern but still have an easy smile rested on his face. He wasn't aware of other students talking about him

"It's just that it was a very dangerous thing to do," Kalden tried to reason, but clearly the Aries was unfazed and unhurt by the situation, so the Virgo decided to drop it.

Kalden hadn't seen Riya's reaction to the whole edge scene, with his back turned from her the entire time, but she seemed to be ready to head onwards now from the deck. The Pisces started to walk off down the main pathway. With no one else following yet, Kalden decided to be the first to walk behind.

Now on the main walkway, Kalden could make out a lion statue crafted in a familiar style a bit of a way down, right off to the side of the path, bringing back to mind the artist the group had discussed earlier. Further out, he could make out larger pools of lava than those from earlier, probably at a bit of a distance to avoid any mishaps closer to the settlements. Kalden could also make out the neighboring floating island from here, which he could only assume was that of the Air signs, and where they were heading next.

Out of nowhere, the annoying Aries boy – she thought his name was Doug – ran towards the edge, seemingly intent on throwing himself over and plummeting into the depths just as Luca had done. However, unless he had some miraculous third power she didn’t know of, Myr had no idea what his plan would be for not splattering onto the ground.

“Um, maybe that’s not a good idea,” Kalden warned, frowning in concern. Myr pondered she might be able to decrease his density to at least keep him alive, though she had no idea how to get him back up here after that with the wind blowing all over the place. However, before she had to do anything, Sauren of all people intervened, physically hauling Doug off the railing and dumping him back onto the ground while angrily muttering “Idio.t,” at him under her breath. Doug seemed suitably impressed, at least not going for a second attempt right away.

“Are you okay?” Kalden asked in concern.

Miraculously, Doug only responded with “Me? Why wouldn’t I be?” looking genuinely confused. Myr blinked in astonishment. With suicidal tendencies like that, how was it possible the Aries had survived up to this point? She shook her head in irritation.

“It’s just that it was a very dangerous thing to do,” Kalden tried, already sounding like he knew it was hopeless. He opted to follow Riya instead, who seemed ready to lead them to the next island. Myr went after him, ready to be as far away from the Fire area and its corresponding idio.ts as possible.

As they passed a large lava pool, she noticed Kyra and Tirali standing at the edge, studying the hot mass. Doesn’t anyone here have any self-preservation instincts?! Kyra was still holding Tharn, so she restored his density to normal, causing him to lose his hedgehog shape. He hopped out of Kyra's hand, using Tirali's head as a stepping stone and making a large leap back to Myr. Unlike her, he enjoyed the heat in the Fire area, but she was pretty sure he wasn’t fireproof. She resolved to keep him close, assuming the Air area would be very windy.

Luca's smug smile fell and his eyebrow raised as he watched the Aries boy race to copy his actions, watching in bewilderment as he began climbing on the rail. Thankfully for Sauren, Doug was able to live another day, or hour. A small exchange went between Doug and a few other students, but eventually the others started following the adult once more. Luca sighed as he shook his head, fixing himself on Liberty's back and getting her to move closer to the Aries boy.

"Man... Out of everyone here, I would of thought you were the last one with a death wish" He mused, the corners of his lips slightly curving to lighten the tone of his statement.

Tirali looked up, seeing a dragon soar over her head, trailing lightning behind it. "What kind of dragon is that?" she asked Kyra, not being familiar with many kinds of dragons. As she asked the question, Myr walked behind them. Tharn transformed back into a blob and jumped back to his owner, using Tirali's head as a stepping stone. She had the not entirely pleasant sensation of having jelly dropped on her head before the creature jumped off, landing with Myr who then walked towards Riya, who appeared impatient to move on. Tirali started to follow. On the way, she noticed another statue in the same style as the Taurus one, but of a lion. "Hey, is that the Leo statue?" she asked Kyra. Silverscale rumbled softly, lifting his head to survey the statue before thumping it back down with what could only be described as absolute boredom. Tirali tried to glare at him, "It's not boring, you just have no sense of art." Silverscale looked up at her, and she could've sworn he rolled his eyes. "I give up," she muttered, before turning back to Kyra for the answer.

"It's not death wish if I can find a way to survive it! You do!" Doug gestured around confidentally, with no hint of any negative emotion regardless of people around him being annoyed and concerned. He straighten up and begin to follow after Kalden and Riya too while still in the conversation with Luca

Maikela Nix | Pisces

Maikela kept mostly to herself, asborbed by her own thoughts as she gazed in distaste at the Fire element zone. It was far too... hot for her taste. She took to the edges, keeping her distance from the sweltering pits of bubbling lava. Bracing herself against one of the banisters that lined the edge as a safety percaution, she hopped up. Kicking on leg over, she rose to her feet, balancing at the edge.

With a certain feline fludity to her movements, Maikela perched her parasol on her shoulder and cheerfully walked along the railing, following the group's movements. She only paused when a kid attempted to fling himself off the edge, only to be puleld back and scorned by a rather petrubed Sauren.

Maikela giggled, her eyes following the irritated Scorpio's movements before switching to peer down on Doug. Humming softly, Maikela quickly grew bored with the exciteable kid and continued on.

Luca laughed and dropped his head before looking back to the other happy male.

"Okay, but.... I.. Have a death wish... My intent is not... Really to survive....." Luca spoke with a cheery hesitance, nearly putting it into a whisper as he bent down to let only Dong hear.

"But, Liberty hasn't let that happen yet so... That's why I do crazy things..." He spoke in a much louder tone with a closed smile, pulling himself back up. He gave Doug one last big smile before turning Liberty around and led her over the railing again. Her wings catching the returned large gust of wind and kept her from falling into the unknown below. The Dragasus took a large circle back to the island and twirled over where Riya was walking, letting Luca drop off beside her. His feet landing with a soft thud and his body dropped a little to counter the impact of landing. He then stuffed his hands in his pockets as he straightened himself out and continued to walk with the others as if nothing had happened.

Kalden played concerned third party, while Luca smugly questioned him interrogation style, then flew off to where Riya was still leading the tour with all oblivious knowledge as to the two su.icidal persons within her group. One seemed intentional, while the other was the complete and polar opposite.

Sauren shrugged and sauntered off in the direction of Riya, bypassing others and overlooking the rest.

After crossing some of the Fire island, Kalden could make out that the Air island wasn't quite one entirely put together chunk of land, but multiple individual ones floating next to each other. There was one central landmass, where most of the buildings he could see were, but there was no lack of smaller clusters that had their own attractions or purposes.

The larger pieces of the Air island seemed to connect together with bridges, allowing people to walk freely between the isles. Some smaller islands that were more of a threat to shift away were held close to the large by huge chains connected to the lower sections of the land. While there were railings in dangerous areas, there were also more open areas along the edges of the isles. Many of these outcrops from the landmasses were built like docks, some wooden, others of stone or rock. The different pads seemed to host different flying-related activities; some for airships, others for hot air balloons or air gliders, and others still serving as launch pads for flying animals or pets. On the other side of the island was another deck, most similar to the Fire isle, that had more cablecars leading back down to the ground and main school below.

Most of the architecture was stylistic, with curved, pointed roofs, and smooth sidings. The Air signs also seemed less adverse to building farther upwards into the sky if the tall towers were anything to go by. Most buildings were whites, off-whites, or other pale colors, with the roofs or painted accents of the buildings standing out in contrast to the cool tones. The main chain of buildings in the central island was large towers, where he assumed Air sign students lived. Some levels were slightly hidden behind white mists or low clouds filled with droplets that shimmered with reflections of light, similar to gems. Movements atop some buildings alerted that there were some humming turbine or windmill like platforms that steadily turned with only the wind pushing them. Many structures or windows had kites, streamers, or other wind direction indicators attached, a mixture of useful technique and individualism among the differences between each type a student chose to display, and how they decorated them.

Floating stairs were also strategically placed, spiraling around the outside of towers without regard for the large heights. Other areas were more blank, perhaps for the floor tilters to scale. Other areas had platforms open to the sky, perhaps to practice wind or weather manipulation.

There were some shallow pools sitting outside the buildings on ground-level, but unlike the Water zone, it seemed to be more to show the rippling effects of the breezes that blew through the open area than to show the water itself. Aside from the buildings, the islands seemed to boast open areas, with archways, gazebos, and picnic spots. The area, despite its outdoor environment like that of the Fire zone, was a lot cooler in temperature, the surrounding mists shifting with the winds.

The oxygen, at they neared the gap between the islands, however, was a crisp and sweet that Kalden had never tasted. The shared environment between the Air and Fire signs showed the rejuvenation and excitement both represented in their own ways. The zone for Air was innovative and original, clearly showing what the curious Air signs could implement based on their thirst for knowledge.

"This is the last place we'll be going before you're all free to go where you like on campus," Riya said, standing atop a clear platform connecting the Fire and Air isles. It seemed to be made of incredibly thick glass or similar material, with matching sidings mixed with metal handrails. To ensure the fortification, thick metal cables attached each side to the land, as well as overhead cables it further connected to.

"You may use the cablecar there if you prefer," The Pisces gestured. Despite not being an Air sign, she seemed unfazed casually standing on something she could see the ground below. "But this does have a dark mode if it's just the view you find unnerving."

The Air area was beautiful, showing off the sign's curiosity and innovation. But Myr was cut short in her thoughts about it by Riya's words.

“This is the last place we’ll be going before you’re all free to go where you like on campus,” the Pisces said, showing no sign of vertigo despite standing on a glass platform with a clear view of the ground quite a distance below her.

Huh, Myr thought. She’d expected for the tour to be entering the school itself after passing through the four areas, but apparently this was it. Just as well. She’d been around all the buildings by herself already, and she had no interest in slowly moving through places she’d investigated already. Though she had to admit that while the sign areas were impressive, it was the interesting company that had mostly made the tour worthwhile so far. Which reminded her, they’d agreed upon visiting the library this evening to look up the 13th sign, but if the tour was nearly over then they might as well go immediately after this. She decided to hang around Sauren, Luca and Kalden in case they came up with the idea, and perhaps steer the conversation in that direction if they didn’t. As for Maikela, she was pretty sure the Pisces would find a way to tag along even if they didn’t invite her.

She looked ahead again. The way off the Fire island and to the Air zone seemed to be formed by the glass platform Riya was standing on. The guide gestured to some cablecars next to it, explaining that was an option if they didn’t want to go over the glass. The see-through platform even had a dark mode, it seemed, for students who found the view unnerving.

Myr smiled inwardly to herself, instantly deciding to go over the glass in all its transparent glory. She wondered which of the others would do the same though. Tirali definitely would, being an Air sign, although she wasn’t sure of Kyra and thought maybe the Aquarius would go with her friend to keep her company. Luca would take the glass too, after a flying Dragasus a glass platform was nothing. Sauren as well, her floor tilting would have made her immune to any vertigo. Doug too, if only out of reckless stupidity. Kalden she wasn’t sure of, being an Earth sign, and he had been rather careful of the edge back on the Fire island. Maikela definitely would, she’d seen her walking on the railing lining the Fire island's edge.

Myr hung back from the platform, waiting to see if her predictions would come true. A sudden gust of wind made her rethink her decision to keep Tharn on her shoulder and she had him wrap around her arm again. She had no desire to run all over the island trying to rescue a windblown blob.

"Judging from the lightning trailing after it, that was a Thunderscale. You see them somtimes around Crab Port when thunderstorms are coming. The patrols that ride them love taking them out before a big hurricane hits in particular. They help keep the winds from doing too much damage. They use static electricity in the air to generate their electrical energy. That's why they have those features that look like streamers of lightning." Kyra told Tirali, glancing back at her friend in time to see Tharn go back to Myr. She was glad she took the cablecar over to the air platforms. She was fine up here where it was more solid than on the fire territory. It really was beautiful up here. She felt more at home here if she couldn't be lower down. And she made a mental note to try out hang gliding when she saw the gliders. She also spotted the dragon stabels and lit up when she saw a dragon that looked like a gold version of Silverscale, easily standing fifteen, maybe 20 feet at the shoulder as she followed her rider inside, her gold, black and orange markings glittering in the sun.

Kyra grabbed her friend, whirling her so she could see the dragon.

"See that dragon there? That's a Koi! I've never seen a Koi dragon with those markings before! I think Silverscale might have some of the smaller version of that breed in him! See how her snout curves slightly into a beak like his does?" She pointed out, grinning like an idiot when she saw one of her all time favorite types of dragons. They were named for the fish with the lucky markings. That was why the Koi Dragon (or Cyprinus rubrofuscus draconis to give it the scientific name), were known for their grace in the air and their beautifully colored scales. And like their namesake fish, the more elaborate the colors, the luckeir they were considered to be! Especially if you looked them in the eye, like with elephants in some regions. She'd only met one Koi dragon at her old riding stables - an old retired male named Goldshard with the metallic Hariwaki markings- for his golden markings that made him look more like a calico cat than a koi fish if it weren't for the black mark on his forehead between his eyes. He was over 100 years old when she met him. Some breeds of dragons lived for almost a thousand years if you were lucky. Koi were one of those dragons, their namesake fish even lived to be half a century old after all, but they lived ten times longer.

(This is what the dragon looks like:  and these are her markings: )

Tirali had kind of wanted to walk across the glass-looking bridge, but had instead chosen to follow Kyra in the cablecar. Her friend looked better now that she was on stable ground. Something caught her attention, and she grabbed Tirali's shoulder and spun her around in time to see an orange, gold, and black dragon disappearing into a stable. Kyra was really excited about this dragon, enthusiastically proclaiming its similarity to Silverscale. The dragon was pretty, Tirali admitted to herself, then was distracted by two other dragons flying in at another landing pad. One was tall and elegant, with light shimmering scales, and the other was a bit more... clunky, and looked like it was covered in dark metallic scale armor. They looked familiar somehow, and she thought about it for a second before realizing, "Hey Kyra, don't those look a bit like Silverscale too?" She squinted at them for a second, then added, "What were the dragons you mentioned earlier? The ones you said Silverscale could be a hybrid of?" The little dragon on her shoulder had uncurled and was sitting up now, eyes tracing every dragon's path across the sky.
((The dragons I'm describing are a Moonscale and a Metalscale, btw, and I do have pics but it would take too long to get them on here right now, sorry))

Kyra lit up when she saw the Moon and Metalscale dragons. The darker one was clearly an older bronze variety. They came in nine types: Copper, Brass, Bronze, Silver, Mercury, Gold, Iron, Steel and Platinum. Moonscales came in varying shades of silver and gray - moonlight colors - and sometimes had blue or purple highlights along their wings indicating what seasons they were born in: blue for winter, gold for summer, green for spring, and bronze for fall. That one had blue along the edge of it's wings, so most likely it hatched sometime in winter.

"Metalscale and Moonscales! That's a Bronze varient of the Metalscale, most likely a fully grown adult. They get that weathered coppery green when they hit their third decade. Moonscales have colored edges on their wings to indicate what season they were born in - gold for summer, green for spring, bronze for fall and blue for winter. It won't tell you how old they are, per say, but you can tell from the shade of silver in their scales. They change color as they age from varying shades of gray to silver." Kyra explained, Tanto perking up when a larger griffin flew in, cawing a greeting to the dragons who roared in response, greeting the beast and it's rider as if it were an old friend. Then she got an idea of how they could possibly identify what type of dragon Silverscale was!

"Why don't we head over to the stables before we go back to the dorms? We can ask the stablemaster if they can identify what type of dragon Silverscale is!" She suggested, the idea hitting her like a bolt of lightning. This way, they wouldn't have to bother her Grandma or her Aunt with the question, though, it wouldn't hurt to get multiple opinions on what he was and see if they came to a concensus on what he was. And bonus: she could sign up for riding lessons and possibly get a shift on the student patrols. She wouldn't say no to having a dragon or wingless grififn as a mount while she was at school.

(this a Moonscale: and this is a Metalscale - Bronze variant: I based them off the Dungeons and Dragons 5e metallic dragons as a reference)

Haruuuu!!! I mean--Doug the aries

Doug's eyes rounded at the suddenly shifted of tone in conversation and for a rare occasion he looked genuinely not excitable but Luca left on his horse before Doug could uttered anything other than "Why would you--hey wait!". Fly away and out of reached at least until he landed next to Doug but for whatever reason Doug decided to to immediatally persued him. The boy stared bewilded for a little more moment before continue on, now laging behind and strangly quiet compare to earlier energy.

...that is if you paid close enough attention because he then bounced back to normal after a few minute, taking longer than Luca's plastic smile, ooo-ing at the glass(of course to took the glass bridge), the many dragons and laughing at the air current that threaten to blow him off with the carefree and almost inappropiated to earlier situation laugh (but noticably chose not to intentionally jump off it this time) He sounds high too, if high on oxygen is a think, maybe the high altitude can make one lightheaded and seemed ironically have more fun than he was in fire place, fake or not. He said or indicate nothing about what he would do or who he'd be with after the tour.

Luca waited at the edge of the bridge to see who else would go on, watching a few girls walk towards the cablecar and a few others hang back as well. He hummed before taking slow steps on the bridge, still watching the people behind him.

"You guys coming?" He spoke to the immediate group nearest to the bridge, he began walking backwards on the bridge and moved his hands from his pockets to behind his head. Now just waiting to see who would follow.

A few signs opted for the cablecar, but some seemed unafraid of walking over to the other isles without a second thought to the glass beneath foot. Kalden eyed the bridge as he stepped closer, arms crossed.

"You guys coming?" Luca called, already walking down the bridge length.

Kalden gazed downwards, allowing others to pass him if they wished while he took a moment to pause. The view itself didn't bother him too much, but... he felt a little queasy about stepping onto the glass nonetheless. Kalden thought about the dark mode but decided not to bother; he still knew how far the earth was below now, whether he could see it or not. It was the platform itself he didn't like, but he felt the same way in the cablecar. If anything, the bridge was probably much more stable since it didn't move, and was clearly constructed to hold tons more weight than a small group of people currently opting to cross it bore.

Whether due to stubbornness or internal reasoning with himself, Kalden couraged a step forward. He felt a brief wave of dizziness at the unnatural environment upon shifting entirely onto the glass, but was able to continue forward after a moment to collect himself. Once he put his eyes forward, the Virgo realized it wasn't quite as bad as he had feared, though windier than he liked. Kalden tsked under his breath in mild distaste, keeping his eyes forward. Just because he could bare the walk didn't mean he was enjoying it as others might.

Tirali hadn't expected Kyra to know so much about the dragons. The sleek one was a Moonscale, and the one with scales that looked like armor was called, somewhat obviously, a Metalscale. Her friend continued chatting on about color patterns in the species, then stopped with an idea. "Why don't we head over to the stables before we go back to the dorms? We can ask the stablemaster if they can identify what type of dragon Silverscale is!" Kyra said triumphantly. "Great idea!" Tirali exclaimed. "They'd be sure to know." I wonder if I could ride a dragon, or a griffin maybe, like the ones the other students are riding? she thought, then decided, the best place to find out would probably be the stables. Silverscale flapped into the air, chirping a greeting to some of the larger dragons, even though they couldn't hear him, then flew up to Tirali's head and paced in circles, constantly keeping up a stream of cheerful noises.

"So, what's your powers?" He chirped, holding a small smile and looking for eye contact from the other male.

"Then we should go over to the stables and find out! And maybe we can find out about signing up for dragon or griffin riding lessons! They had stables at the lower levels of the school, but I think those are for low altitude dragons and creatures that can't fly like Wingless Griffins." Kyra agreed, already headed in the direction of the stables. She couldn't help giggling as Silverscale started twittering and chirping happily, spinning around Tirali's head in that happy little dance of his. One dragon even answered his call of greeting with a call of their own, no doubt pleased to see a human with one of their little cousins as a companion.

As predicted, Tirali and Kyra took the cablecars together, swooning over the dragons flying overhead. Looking down, Myr could see the stables where the beasts were housed, explaining why there were so many of them here.

Doug skipped happily across the bridge and Luca followed him, the very image of carelessness. She was mildly surprised when Kalden went next, although his tense and hesitant movements clearly showed he wasn’t enjoying the experience.

She went after them, trusting the bridge to hold all three of their weights, reasoning it had been designed to be able to support far more. Luca waited for Kalden to catch up to him, seemingly intent on starting up a conversation to distract the Virgo.

“So, what’re your powers?” he said in a tone of voice that sounded like they were safely on solid ground rather than high up in the air.

Myr got a little closer, pretending to be preoccupied with the abyss below them, interested in Kalden's answer. She realized she only knew Doug's powers for sure, since he’d showcased both Fire and Earth Manipulation. Sauren's Floor Tilting was obvious, and Myr suspected she had Poison Generation as a secondary power. Maikela was infamous for her illusions of course, but she probably had a second power she lacked proper control of or why else would she be here?

She realized she had nothing on Kyra, Tirali, Kalden and Luca. Myr was fairly sure Tirali and Kyra would tell her their powers in a heartbeat if she asked, unaware of the power to be had by keeping some secrets here and there. And Luca and Kalden just so happened to be right in front of her on the bridge, making it easy for her to accidentally overhear Kalden’s answer and perhaps listen for the logical counter question.

Kalden thought over what prompted the random inquiry but pinned it on the fact that perhaps the other was trying to distract the Virgo from his discomfort. Luca smiled gently as he backed up to walk side-by-side.

Kalden made note of the nearby acquaintances. Riya and a few others were already on the other side. Luca was next to Kalden, and Myr was at a bit of a distance from the two atop the glass structure. She didn't seem to indicate she had any interest in joining or conversing with the two males, but considering she had overheard Kalden and Riya's earlier exchange, Kalden didn't doubt she had a good ear for information without looking like it.

"Force fields," Kalden answered Luca simply. He briefly debated not revealing any more information, but quickly realized there wasn't much of a point to when Nysa was inherently for people with two powers. Unlike Kalden's homeland, it may stick out more to avoid admitting some things in such an environment. Kalden had hidden everything about his secondary power up to this point, and it got him nowhere but trouble, but perhaps it was time to just accept it.

"And kinetic absorption." The Virgo finished after a pause, though he kept his tone far lower. Kalden realized he had not seen Luca exhibit powers yet, deciding to ask while the opportunity granted itself. "And yourself?

Tirali ducked slightly under Silverscale's enthusiastic jumping. When the other dragon acknowledged him, he paused for half a second, then squeaked abruptly and started jumping even harder, then leaned upside down to look at Tirali, eyes wide, and squeaked again. "Yes, I know," Tirali grumbled jokingly, "You were noticed by a bigger dragon. But calm down a little, would ya?" Silverscale chirped and swooped, down beside her, then flew around in circles, stopping occasionally to chirp again and continue darting around. "What happened to the sleepy dragon of this morning?" Tirali teased him. He hasn't eaten anything strange, unless there's something in the sandwiches that would make him hyperactive? Silverscale stopped again and hovered, giving her what could only be called a sarcastic expression, then brightened, looking over Tirali's head at a bigger dragon that had settled in. It rumbled back, and the littler dragon's eyes slowly got bigger, before getting more excited than before, if it were even possible Tirali turned back to her friend as she was talking about Wingless Griffins in the lower levels of the stables. "On second thought, riding a dragon wouldn't be such a great idea, Silverscale would get jealous," she gently teased the little dragon. "Speaking of which, was there anything in the sandwiches that would make him hyper? Like, I don't know, pepper flakes maybe?" Tirali questioned as she followed Kyra in the general direction of the stables, glancing once over her shoulder to see if Riya was going to call them back. She knew the spice, commonly used in sandwich spreads, would cause bigger dragons to have hotter firebreath, so maybe it would be enough to make a little dragon like Silverscale as energetic as he was.

Luca's smile started to grow a little more as Kalden answered, watching him silently debate with himself before revealing the second power of his. Luca's eyebrows knitted together as he thought of the second ability.

"Kinetic absorption?" He parroted, completely forgeting he knew about powers and signs, now just staring at Kalden with a dumbfounded glance. Ignoring the returned question about his own powers.

"Just peanut butter and jelly, unless he got ahold of some of the meat sandwiches. I used ham, roast beef and cheddar cheese on those. But I'll make sure not to use pepper flakes or anything like that when I make the fish treats later." Kyra replied, giggling at the dragon's antics. She'd seen a few griffins and winged manticores flying around. So maybe those were an option too.

"The one that answered him was a Ridgescale by the way. You can tell by the ridges along their back that look like little mountains." She added, seeing the dragon that responded to Silverscale's greeting. It was a beautiful dragon with mountain shaped ridges going down it's neck, pausing at the base where the neck met the main body, giving humans somewhere to ride before continuing down to the tip of the tail. It had at least a 40 ft wingspan and was about 14 at the shoulder, 30 from snout to tail tip. Most likely a juvenile as the adults got to a max of 40 ft long and 16 ft tall. They were relatively calm dragons and got along well with others. A winged griffin that looked like it was half leopard and half hawk landed, cawing a greeting to the dragon, who rumbled in return.

“Force fields,” Kalden said. Then, so softly Myr wouldn’t have caught it if she hadn’t been so comfortable with heights, allowing her to focus her full attention on the conversation, he added, “and Kinetic Absorption.”

Wait, what? Myr thought, startled, although she kept her outward reaction down to a confused blink. But that’s... she racked her brain ...Taurus? Come to think of it, she’d thought Doug was exhibiting two powers belonging to his sign, the Ram, but now that she thought about it she realized Earth Manipulation was a Taurus power as well. That’s...odd.

Continuing that train of thought, she tried to remember what she knew about the sign of the only other person she knew two powers of: Scorpio...intense, complex, mysterious, blah blah blah...powers: Poison Generation, Sand Manipulation...huh. She couldn’t recall the last one, but she knew it wasn’t Floor Tilting. Even if she wasn't one hundred percent sure of Sauren having Poison Generation, she definitely shouldn't have Floor Tilting as a Scorpio.

So another out-of-house power...I thought I was the only one. But out of the seven people she’d encountered so far, she knew both powers of three, excluding herself from that count, and they all had one power not belonging to their sign.  That seemed like too much of a coincidence. Was it possible that they all had one power outside of their sign?

That seemed like too much of a stretch, going against everything she’d ever learned about signs and their powers. But Myr couldn’t bring herself to discard the idea completely, so she parked it and refocused on the conversation, debating whether she’d learn more by butting in or by continuing to eavesdrop.

Sauren ghosted along with the group, keeping the cablecar with Tirali and Kyra in it in her periphereal. Floor tilting came in handy sometimes. She wondered why her father had her keep her poison powers to herself, as it was rather an obvious power for a Scorpio such as herself to have.

Maikela kept mostly to herself, remaining uncharacteristically quiet. She instead withdrew into the elavator along with the others, pushing her hands against the edges as she watched the ground steadily disappear beneath her. Oddly, she felt no fear from this height, save for the occasional odd twange of apprehension. She attriuted it to her Gemini side. What proper air sign would be afraid of heights?

Despite her apparent focus on the ground below, she was more keen on learning about those around her. Very similiarly to Myr, she was rather content with simply eavesdropping.

As the group exited the car and moved towards a glass bridge, Maikela noticed a certain hesitance exhibited by the majority of the students except of course, Kalden.
Maikela smirked inwardly,  not allowing the expression to appear outwardly on her deadpan face. She had a postitively malicous idea.

She casually followed the students onto the glass bridge, bringing up the rear of the group and purposefully waiting for everyone to either be aboard the cable cars or on top of the bridge.

That was when the sound of glass shattering pierced the air, a chilling 'crack' which sent fragmented sutures spiderwebbing all across the surface of the glass as it began to fracture beneath everyone's very feet.

((I am just reminded of that one bridge in China...

"Doesn't sound like there's anything. I mean, I'm not an expert, but this could just be normal for him," Tirali said. "But it would definitely be a good idea for no pepper flakes for the little guy," smiling at Silverscale. The little dragon was hovering close to the Ridgescale, and he chirped rapidly at the griffin. The griffin cawed once to acknowledge him, then ignored his repeated attempts to hold a conversation. "What kind of griffin is that? Do you know?" Tirali asked her friend as she started on her way again after being sure the tour was probably over, and they wouldn't get yelled at. She froze when a loud crack echoed, spinning around to find the glass bridge, with most of the group on it, had cracked, sending fractures across the bridge.

“Kinetic Absorption?” Luca asked, sounding just as confused as Myr felt. But before Kalden could answer, a sharp crack ripped through the air and spiderwebbing fractures appeared in the glass beneath her feet, accompanied by little vibrations running through the bridge.

Instinctively, she decreased her body density so she was lighter, then a second later remembered she wasn’t the only one on the bridge and did the same to everyone else, so their panicked footfalls wouldn’t damage the bridge any further. The downside was that it would be easier for the wind to sweep them off, but that was a risk she’d have to take. Easier to save a few people being thrown around by the wind than all of them plummeting to the ground among shards of glass.

Myr began to run forward, but her path off the bridge was blocked by Kalden and Luca. She reached out to shove them ahead, but before she could touch them they were blasted off their feet, flying across the remainder of the bridge to land in a heap on the Air island.

She glanced down at her hands. That…might have been me? Or a random gust of wind, who can tell. She shook her head, dismissing the thought, and ran off the bridge, looking back to see if everyone else had gotten off in time.

The bridge was empty save for one person: Maikela. She didn’t look suspicious, but it was exactly her calm demeanour that tipped Myr off, since everyone else was in various states of panic. She felt anger bubbling up inside her, realizing they had all very probably been tricked by the Pisces. All right then.

She restored everyone’s density to normal, and at the same time decreased the density of the glass itself, so that even Maikela’s small weight was enough to break it.

There was one final ominous crack, and then the bridge shattered for real.

The fragile glass cracked beneath his feet, shattering any reality he'd been enjoying currently.

Aw, blarmy

He expected the se.ductive pull of gravity to bring him in for a quick, crushing hug, but it never came. Puzzled, he looked around at the others. They too were drifting just above the glass, floating a little like he often did back in Wandurlynnd.

Unconscious of his savior instincts, his bewilderment and calm leaked into the others emotions, staving off the initial panic then mayhem of such an unforeseen disaster. Breaking bridges couldn't be predicted, could they? No. Bridges couldn't be trusted. Ever. Safe and sturdy under your feet one moment, then gone in the blink of a Bandersnatch in another, leaving you to the whims of gravity yet again. How many bridges had be been on that broken up with him, again? Oh that's right. None. He exhaled softly, relieved at the idea.

Kalden Sternok | Virgo

Luca stared at Kalden, his expression one of astonishment, making the latter wonder if he shouldn't have said anything about the absorption power. Suddenly any further conversation was cut short when the harsh sound of cracking glass was audible even over the blowing wind. Whipping around, Kalden could see a splintering of glass quickly spreading out all around the floor of the bridge.

Before Kalden could succumb to panic, he suddenly felt oddly light. It was enough that the wind almost seemed able to push him around, despite his standing still. While the wind here was strong, it shouldn't be able to do that. Kalden stared around, his eyes settling on Myr. She had shown several times earlier she could manipulate density, such as with Maikela in the trees earlier. She must have decreased everyone's on the bridge so prevent any more weight atop the spiderwebs of the fractured glass beneath foot.

Kalden felt a mixture of emotions, his heartbeat thumping wildly at the situation, while Myr ran at them. Weirdly enough, it wasn't her push that moved them, but an odd force of the wind. The Virgo landed on the solid ground of the isle, although it wasn't harshly, due to his still light body. Kalden clung to the grass, in an attempt to not be blown around any further, feeling relieved to be off the structure.

Actually, the relief he felt was odd... Sure, Kalden was glad to be on land, but feeling this calm was strange, considering the dangerous scenario taking place. But the alien emotion helped Kalden gain a bit of clarity. He gazed at the bridge, perplexed. Maikela was the only one that stood on the platform, showing no indication she was worried, but somehow in a way that didn't match the external moods Kalden was experiencing. The Virgo loosened his grip on the grass, his earlier reasons for clinging vanished from his mind.

Kalden crawled closer to the bridge, smoothly pulling his glove off with his teeth, the other hand maintaining a safe grip on the ground. He hovered his bare hand right above the shattering glass closest to where it connected to land, the squeaks of the shards still cracking filling the air. While he was normally more frightened to try any energy absorption, he felt he should try in his more relaxed state. Maybe he could temporarily bind the energy created from the breakage, which could cease anymore splintering until he let go. Not that he'd ever tried before... but he realized, even with his limited experience using energy, that there was a major lack of it pushing towards him, considering how much should be produced due to the shattering and any force behind it.

"This is fake," Kalden said, mostly to himself, pulling away to a safe distance. He felt like he should be exhibiting anger while staring pointedly at the only one who could create such a maliciously realistic scene with illusions. However, this was right when he suddenly felt his usual weight restored, and when the bridge really did seem to shatter.

"Most likely one of the common types like Tanto here. A peregrine falcon leopard type most likely. Known as a Falco panthera pardus. Or the Falcon Griffin." She told her friend, glancing over to exaine the griffin that Silvertrail was trying to strike up a conversation with while it eyed her and Tanto with a more curious look than anything.

((This was a lot longer than I anticipated XD Sorry for the story XD Luca almost becomes Thor....))

Luca's expression didn't faulter as the sound of cracking glass settled in his ears, dropping his head to confirm his suspicion on the noise. But instantly noticed that he felt nothing different under feet, his calm demeanor having remained the same the whole ordeal. Simply smirking as he turned his head to try and find the caulpret for the little trick he currently walked on, catching the equally calm Maikela watching the scene unfold. But not given a split second to speak before Myr seemed to push him and the others off the bridge without actually touching them. Landing softly on the grassy ground, and feeling his body return to normal, which he hadn't even noticed changed to start with. Myr raced to the edge of the bridge and turned to look back, letting her miss the scowl Luca shot at her, sending that very same death glare to the other girl still on the brigde.

'Ignorant... Pompous Brats..... One's raised to be a lady and acts like a child, and the other's raised to think on her feet and yet reacts in a rash manner. If she just took a second to think-' Luca's mind began to rant on, all the while a build up of clouds began to circle above, quiet rumbling echoing off, but barely noticeable unless someone was paying attention to it. Small crackles of electricity began dance around Luca's hands, dropping into the ground to almost hide itself as he continued to rant to himself.

'They couldn't be more censored in this entire situation... Are they actually daughters of infamous crimelords or is that a lie? Cause if that's the case, then I got a bigger problem with them than simple childish actions and rash reactions' Luca's expression began to visibly grow with anger the more and more he thought, enticing more streaks of electricity to build around his hands. Looking more like white plant roots rapidly moving in between his fingers than anything else. The clouds above still steadily growing, and darkening, the rumbling sound beginning to be slightly more noticeable. Luca became enthralled in his thoughts, barely noticing Kalden confirm the cracking was fake.

'What purpose did she gain from this? Does she think this is funny?- Stop thinking. Before you strike them both out with lightning' Luca's thoughts harshly told him to silence, forcing his eyes closed and a deep breath to come and go through his body, the electricity d.ied on his hands, and the clouds began to let the sun shine through once more. Luca took a second breath of air before switching his tense sitting to one more relaxed, resting his chin in his hands, and his elbows on his knees as he looked around. Watching the clouds dissipate as quickly as they formed.

'Did I do that?' he chirped to himself, dropping his head at the sound of a far louder crack coming from the brigde. Closing his eyes once more in annoyance.

'She did not...' He sighed, taking another deep breath as he thought about the outcome of everything that happened within the last minute.

'Argue when everyone's mind is stable...' He concluded, still wanting to have a say about this whole ordeal. Luca's anger had completely vanished, and returned to the careless calm face that he wore before, despite having a suscipion that the bridge is truly breaking now. Letting karma take her rounds on the whole thing before he discusses anything about it. Plus, he figured that Maikela would be easier to converse with off the bridge with him, than on the unstable platform. Not like he wouldn't go chase her down on the crumbling bridge. His thought's began to wonder how the cotton candy haired child, would get herself out of the mess she made.

"Children" He breathed out, letting the strong wind take the word away in silence.

Maikela laughed callously at the panic-strikken response her classmates had to the fracturing glass. She continued to head down the glass bridge, smirking as Myr seemed to lift everyone off the ground. A sudden and questionably convenient gust of wind pushed a majority of the class off the bridge. Maikela did not have much time to consider the logistics of that before her feet hit the floor. She caught Myr glaring at her with a scalding stare, if looks could kill, something told Maikela that she would be a smoldering pile of ash by now.

Maikela flashes Myr a lackadaisical smile, tilting her head ever so slightly to one side.

'CRACK'

The sound sent gooseflesh prickling along her arm as a chilling dread siezed her stomach. That sound wasn't Maikela’s doing... and the only other pisces with them was their instructor. But she had demonstrated both her powers and neither of them were illusion magic. Which could only mean one thing.

Maikela looked back up at Myr, her expression one of discontent, mixed with exasperation. Maikela had played a joke and by all accounts, it seemed that Myr was actively trying to kill her.

The heiress did not have much time to ponder upon this, a small sneer curled her upper lip as the ground began to fall out from under her.

Siezed by adrenaline, pure, unadulterated instinctive fear, and years and years worth of training, Maikela launched herself towards the metal cables that held up the glass. It seemed like Myr had only tampered with the glass on the bridge, but fortunately not the frames that held it up. They were attached to what appeared tp be two large towers on the other side.

Maikela elegantly swung her legs around the cable she had latched onto and expertly shimmied up the side. Once she reached the top most support bar, Maikela pulled herself up on top of it. The large metal beam beneath was about half the width of her shoe. A particularly strong gust of wind would have been able to knock her off given the precarious situation she had found herself in.

Maikela steadily rose to her feet, then looked across the wide gully. Taking a short breath, Maikela placed her parasol casually over her shoulder. She took one step at a time, seemingly effortlessly balancing upon the metal cables as she began a careful walk across the abyssal canyon and towards the rest of the group.

Having regained her composure, Maikela managed to look indignant and completely unperturbed despite the fear that coiled around her heart. She walked with a shashay, exaggerating the movements of her hips and shoulders as she did so, her eyes narrowed slightly

Just before the bridge fell away beneath her, Maikela leapt to one of the cables holding it up. From there, she made her way up to the beams and began walking towards them, balanced precariously. Myr tried to see if she should do anything to help her, but quickly decided anything she did would only increase Maikela's chances of losing her balance and falling.

She hadn’t actually tried to k.ill Maikela. Just...give her a good scare, as payback for the glass trick. Her plan had been to let her fall a few meters, and then decrease her density so the wind carried her back up. From there, it would have been a simple matter of careful coordination to have the girl land back on the island with them.

If she got in trouble for it, she could always pretend it had been an accident, that she’d tried to increase the bridge’s density to try and hold it together but ended up decreasing it instead due to not fully controlling her power. That was the reason for this school, after all. Accidents were bound to happen, especially in a place like this with abilities running rampant.

Due to Maikela's timely departure, the bridge was still mostly intact, only broken and cracked where she'd been standing. She restored the density to keep shards from breaking off and causing casualties on the ground below. And it wasn’t as if she’d put out of commission the only bridge between the islands, the cablecars were still there. All in all, no harm done.

Seeing Maikela’s narrow-eyed glare though, she sensed the two of them would be having a very serious talk sometime very soon. Better get it over with then, the sooner she convinced the girl she wasn’t trying to have her meet an untimely d.eath the better. A little rivalry was fine, but she'd rather not have the girl as an enemy.

Tirali glanced back at her friend, then heard a louder crack. Looking back at the bridge again, she saw it shatter, the only one left on it being the pink-and-blue haired teen from the front of the group. Luckily managing to pull herself onto the edge, which looked unscathed. "Um, does that look like anything we should be worrying about?" Tirali asked Kyra, though they were too far away to do anything really to help. Then a slightly crazy idea struck her, "What if we rode one of the flying creatures around here to pick up the person who's still on the bridge? Unless that would startle her and make her fall..." She trailed off, completely out of ideas and unsure if the person actually needed help or not.

Maikela stalked towards the edge of the bridge, meeting eyes with Myr who seemed to recognize the gravity of the situation.

Heh. Gravity.

Focus!

Pushing the intruding thought aside, Maikela dismissively pressed onward. Her gaze held no anger, although it was somehow more terrifying than anger could be. Instead of stoking the fires of loathing, Maikela merely looked cold. Her face an uncanny expressionless mask. Dead, and devoid of all emotion. Absolutely frigid.

Outwardly,  Maikela maintained an unflappable facade. One that had been instilled in her since she was a toddler. Never cry,  never show fear, never show desperation, and above all, do not allow anyone to know they managed to get the best of you. Her entire life had been based around that concept. It was her instinct. Her default settings. But internally.

Internally Maikela was about to cry.

From terror. From frustration.  From rage.

She wanted to scream. She wanted to tear something apart then break down sobbing.

But above all else.

She wanted to go home.

Maikela arrived at the edge of the cliff, right above the gawking students. With the pull of a trigger, Maikela flicked open her parasol. Her frozen expression from earlier melted into a sickeningly sweet smile as she leapt down from the metal support wire. She opted just to make the jump instead of continuing all the way to the towers and taking the stairs.

She cast her parasol in front of her mid-air and broke her fall with a well timed roll. The parasol fell with a thud by her feet as she completed the roll She picked it back up again, resting it casually on her shoulder before casually passing through the group.

She paused by Myr, not looking the thief in the eyes, rather she gazed past the girl. The candy haired heiress whispered in a hushed but patient tone that only Myr could hear.

"I am all for the philosophy of an eye for an eye. But what you did back there, hun, that was an eye for a lung. I wouldn't advise attempting to pull such a stunt ever again.... a thief's greatest asset is her anonymity, after all." Maikela allowed the threat to dangle in the air for a bit before she walked forward without giving Myr the chance to explain herself. She knew that Myr was smart enough to know how unwise it would be to tick Maikela off too much. All it would take was one letter to Maikela’s father regarding the incident for to Myr's identity to b exposed in one of the nation's biggest news outlets. From there, all it would take was pulling a few strings and doing some digging to subsequently, reveal the identities of many of her clients. Which would not only be a whole entire mess and  jeopardize Myr's livelihood, it could also put many people in danger of retribution.

With the same lackadaisical smile, Maikela clapped her hands together as she regarded her classmates. "I am perfectly well, I appreciate all of your concern." She cooed diplomatically to the students who were probably shocked from what they had just witnessed.  "Myr, bless her, just saved us all from the shattering bridge... I don't want to think about where we would be had she not interfered. But we also have a tour to continue with, so I suggest we save our endless gratitude for a later date."

Maikela never technically lied. And to most of her classmates who were unaware of her illusionary mastery would not have been able to distinguish the fake cracking with the real breaking since it had all happened simultaneously. Although her knew that Kalden, Sauren, and Luca would be the most likely be suspicious of her statement, Maikela hoped that they would have the brains to keep quiet about it.

She knew that Myr likely wasn't intending to kill her, so there was no use in trying to get her in trouble. On the contrary. Maikela would frame her as a hero just to put the girl in the spotlight, something Maikela figured she was not all too fond of. But she was just making guesses. She did not know the girl well enough to definitively say. She Simply doubted that anyone in Myr's profession would ever want to be noticed. Just a spiteful way to prettily get back at her and explain the whole situation in a neat way, adorned with a pretty little bow.

Did I mention that Maikela was petty?

Kyra whirled when she heard the bridge shatter. She wasn't sure what was going on but she knew she had to do something!

"I dunno, but I don't like the looks of it." She saw the other student petting the nose of the bronze Metalscale and ran over, waving her arms to get his attention.

"Hey, what was that big shatter? Did something happen to the bridge?" The boy asked, glancing at the first year with a surprised look as he tried to calm his startled dragon. He saw she had a mini griffin with her and was no doubt a first year. His dragon had noticed her and let her approach without trouble.

"I think the students involved got into an argument. I know your dragon is probably tired from patrol, but can I borrow him? I've ridden dragons before and have experience." Kyra replied, the boy looking over at the shattered glass bridge.

"Rescues aren't allowed without an experienced member of the Student Guard onboard. Get on. Karono here is an expert at rescue maneuvers. Your friend can ride with Lucy on Leopold over there if she doesn't mind griffins. Name's Lucien by the way." The boy replied, boosting Kyra on the dragon's offered back before scrambling up behind her. He could tell she'd ridden a dragon before by the way she easily settled into the saddle in front of him. No wonder Karono let her on so quickly. The big bronze Metalscale was usually wary with new students if they didn't have experience with dragons.

"You coming or not?" Lucy called from where she stood beside the griffin to the first year Aquarius as Leopold shrieked a hawk cry that sounded like a mix between a hawk and a leopard roar as Karono took off. Lucy herself was a Libra herself and could manipulate air while Lucien, was a Saggitarius, hence the bow on his back. He was an expert marksman and could hit a target from a thousand feet up with pinpoint accuracy. She could already see the dragon in the air heading for the bridge to intercept the two fighting students. Lucy swung up onto her assigned griffin, settling into the padded saddle.

Although no anger showed on her face, there was something in Maikela’s eyes that told Myr, All right - time to back off. The girl's expression morphed into her familiar sickly sweet smile as she hopped off the bridge, but the sweet tone in which she spoke to Myr was at odds with her words.

Myr briefly debated going after Maikela, but decided against it. Better to let her have the final say. She knew Maikela wasn’t the type to send a weepy letter to Daddy at the first bump in the road, and she must know Myr hadn’t been trying to k.ill her – what would Myr have to gain from that, after all – but apparently this was her limit, and it would probably be wise to respect it in the future. Maikela did have access to the greatest news imperium out there, so it was probably a good idea to stay on her good side. Or at least, not any further on her bad side than she was now.

Myr groaned internally as Maikela portrayed her as the hero in the situation, putting her in the spotlight while surely knowing that she hated that. But she quickly decided to forego any countermove, leaving the situation with Maikela in the advantage. And she had to admit, it was a nice way to smoothe the whole thing over.

And if some of the smart ones figured out what the situation had really been like, with the fake cracking coming from Maikela and the real cracking coming from her? Fine with her too. She wouldn’t mind having it known she wasn't to be messed with even without a powerful and influential father behind her.

She looked up to see a number of dragons and other flying beasts coming towards them, undoubtedly having noticed the incident. She sighed, bracing herself for oncoming questions.

Doug just reacted to stuff

defer from popular belief, Doug very much value his life thank you very much, and only display the reckless behavior when he himself initiated it so when he turned around and saw the crack began to spreading his way, he reacted accordingly like any sane person would; screaming " AHHH this's bad!!" and scrumbling away, with difficulty consider everyone on this narrow bridge but then before all turned south, a strong current of wind pick him up and sweep them all away to safety. Doug blinked then bounced back just as quick, turning toward the only one he saw associated with riding the wind earlier; Luca

"NICE SAVE LUCA!" He chirped with a thumb up, it's still slightly trembling and the fright seemed to have gotten to Doug everlasting cheerfulness as well judging from all the sweating, the trembling  and panting and fear that still lurked in his eyes despite his wide smile.

"This is fake" Kalden voice broke through Doug could see the older teen inspecting the glass.

"Still nice, whatever" the cheerfulness seemed to have restored to it maximum capacity but then Doug realized what had been said and blinked "wait fake? but why--?"

and then the glass broke for real

"That doesn't look fake, Kalden!" Doug cried and only seemed to noticed Maikela just then "Oh no!"

Maikela proved to be capable of saving herself very quickly though, leaped up on one of the cable and made her way to safety ground quickly which prompty stoping the bridge from completely falling apart. She walked toward them with her parasol opened then exchange a word with Myr, something Doug isn't fully understand and fail to read the mood, he does understand one think though "Oh that was you? Myr? That was amazing!" He cheered at the girl probably something Maikela expected the reaction to be in order to get under the other girl's skin. He went as far as claping his hand before regarding Maikela as well "You too uuu didn't catch your name!, you are impressive too!"

Kalden Sternok | Virgo

Upon the conclusion of the bridge scene, Kalden let out a shaky curse, laying fully back on the grass and staring up at the sky blankly. The last several minutes had gone by quickly with an awful mixture of events. Maikela had managed to save herself from falling down alongside the actual broken shards. While Kalden was glad no harm had befallen Maikela, it didn't replace the growing antipathy he was feeling due to the illusions she had played over the group. The shenanigans earlier on in the tour may have been mildly annoying, but they were overall fairly harmless. However, the cracking bridge had been a trick too far, a feeling Kalden only assumed was shared by at least some of the others.

And while Myr had stepped in to save some of the group from what she understandably thought was a dangerous situation, Kalden was rather frightened by her ease of turning the situation on Maikela for real. He didn't know how far, she too, was willing to go.

Luca also seemed to have been angered about the two. The clouds had suddenly come in, matching the other's expressions, dark and stormy. Sparks of lightning danced at the young man's fingertips for a time before he allowed everything to dissipate as quickly as it had arrived. Kalden wasn't sure if it was lightning or weather manipulation, but he wasn't really thinking much about which was more likely for the Sagittarius to possess, instead wondering what the school was going to do.

That was when Maikela landed on the ground, oddly raining praise towards Myr. Kalden sat up to hear this, but didn't make a move to either contribute positively or negatively, though he didn't trust the cotton-haired heiress' words in the slightest. He didn't know if she thought the rest of them stupid or that she was using her powerful background to intimidate them to silence. Possibly both. Kalden decided best to keep his mouth shut, but stored the gained tidbit of information that she was definitely not a person he could ever fully trust, and to never be swayed by any pretty words she uttered.

Suddenly Kalden could see low-riding flying creatures making their way over from where he gazed at the sky. He almost groaned, knowing they would be part of the school. Even though he hadn't contributed to the mess directly, he wasn't anticipating any questions, and definitely didn't want to be flown away on anything that involved flight or heights. Kalden decided to fully get up at this point, but wishing it was so he could directly ride a cablecart down and find out where his dormroom was.

Luca Morrison

Luca's glare had began returning as the heiress spoke, small sparks of electricity creepying off his skin once more with every, little, fake innocence the girl portrayed.

'I wonder how well their bodies could handle a little lightning' He thought, then immediately went against it as he began going through the science of the interaction, the postive ions in their body would have to greatly outnumber the negative ones the lightning to even survive it, and that's not including coming out without any problems to memory, and physical health. Sighing and letting the electricity drop from his hands, but still having a want for petty revenge. Luca hummed to himself before climbing to his feet and walking up to Maikela and Myr with a fake smile nearly mirroring the cotten-haired girl's.

"Congrats, on saving us, and good job on your quick thinking to escape danger..... How could we ever repay you?" He sang, almost taunting the two of them, he had no interest in hiding his false thanks, and almost wanted the people around to pick up the cards he put down. He stepped behind the two and turned around to put his hands on their backs, pulling them slightly closer to him. Still maintaining his fake smile as spoke in a hushed tone.

"If you guys want to act like clowns again, you might as well look the part.... I suggest you refrain from doing that again" His tone seemed almost dark, and extremely agitated. A bit of electricity crawled off his hands and up the girls necks to frizz their hairs into near afros. Luca then pulled his hands off the two and walked away, dropping any facade he had before, now wearing an unamused glare as he made his way towards Kalden.

"How you doing?" He sang nonchalantly, stuffing his hands back in his pockets, and ever so slightly lightening his expression.

Maikela Nix

Maikela sighed in response to Kalden and Luca's micro aggressions.
Apparently weather manipulation was part of his repertoire. Fun.
She casually ran her fingers through her hair, the static electricity snapping at her hands in the process as she smoothed it down.
"I'm not just a clown, I'm the entire circus." She murmured to no one in particular with another sigh.
Glancing over her shoulder, she noticed two winged figures flapping towards them. Dragons. With riders.
"Oh. Fun." Maikela blinked then glanced at Myr. "Yeah, good luck with that"
With that statement, her form flickered then disappeared entirely.
Casting the illusion of invisibility over herself, Maikela walked away from the scene, moving towards the outskirts of the group needing to escape from everyone's apparently aggressive behaviour for a bit and recompose herself

Myr | Capricorn

As the flying animals came closer, Myr noticed a few dark clouds dissipating unnaturally swiftly, as if they were pushed aside. That’s...definitely not me. Is it? she wondered. She couldn’t usually tell when she used Weather Manipulation, although she recalled she might have used it instinctively to push others off the bridge.

But this couldn’t be her. The last time she made lightning strike, she had been far more p.issed-off than she was now. Plus, there had already been a thunderstorm happening then, she’d just redirected one bolt of lightning. It had to be someone else. She glanced over the others as the sky cleared, but couldn’t see anyone who might be the cause.

Luca approached the two of them, wearing a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “Congrats, on saving us, and good job on your quick thinking to escape danger...how could we ever repay you?” he purred, exaggerating his thanks to the point it was quite obvious he didn’t mean them. Myr resisted the temptation to roll her eyes, wryly thinking that if the bridge had really been cracking instead of Maikela’s illusion, she would in fact quite possibly have saved his life.

He stepped around them and unexpectedly put a hand on both their backs, whispering in a dangerous tone, “If you guys want to act like clowns again, you might as well look the part...I suggest you refrain from doing that again.” She felt a feeling like goosebumps crawling up her neck, only to realize her hair was standing up in all directions.

Huh, she thought as she ran her hands through her hair to get it down again, that explains the thunderclouds I saw earlier.

She knew it was Lightning Manipulation, not Weather, because after discovering her second power she’d done a bit of reading up about it. Weather Manipulation was exactly what it sounded like, controlling the weather, but no matter how good she got at it she would never be able to manipulate lightning, or rather electricity, the way Luca had just demonstrated.

“I’m not just a clown, I’m the entire circus,” Maikela hummed beside her, also undoing the effects of Luca’s magic on her hair.

“Dam.n right you are,” Myr muttered, just as Maikela noticed the flying figures she’d spotted earlier.

“Oh. Fun,” Maikela said, glancing at her. “Yeah, good luck with that.” With that, she vanished, apparently using her illusions to turn herself invisible, leaving Myr to deal with the approaching probably-school officials on her own. Just great.
