Hey there people. I'm doing something at school called Wax Museum. It is this big thing for all seventh graders at my school, where we read a book, write a monologue in the PoV of the person we read about, dress up like the person, memorize the monologue, make a button box, and speak it out whenever someone presses out buttons. I'm really nervous... I've got everything I need, so I am physically ready, but I don't think I will be able to say it straight without messing up the 30+ times I'm gonna have to say it. :( And of course, I have to slur it every time I say it. :-[

My stomach is in a knot right now so... :-/

We're doing it on Monday. Just four days. But I have to be completely ready tomorrow. *Shivers* I may be the first kid ever not prepared for this.

You'll be fine! Just breathe!

Hey there!

Your school's Wax Museum project sounds exciting! Who are you dressing up as?
And don't be silly, you're certainly not the first kid ever to feel majorly underprepared and definitely not the last. I get the jitters every single time I have to present something. I know you're probably feeling a whole lot of pressure at the moment (there's a whole flutter of butterflies in your stomach, am I right?), but just remember to breathe. It sounds simple enough, I know, but trust me, it helps A LOT.
Also, practice, practice, practice. Get your family members/friends to help out. Practice talking in front of them. Practice in your room. Practice until the words come to you naturally.
I noticed that you have a Tom Hiddleston quote in your signature. If it helps, try to channel him. Watch videos of him talking and be inspired to be as fluent as he is.

I hope you find some comfort in these words and all the best! :)

I am Kelcyk123 of Midgard, and there are no strings on me.

Yeah, thanks. I've been trying to get my mind offa it all afternoon. Hard to focus on something else if you're freaking out about something. I tried candy, art, reading. I hate to say it,  but my biggest obsession got it to go away. :p The new Ant-Man website!!! I learned about Pym Particles! Fun!!!! :p

Yes, go Tom Hiddleston. :) I wish know could do exactly as you said. But... gah. I just can't say it without slurring. And it's killing me that I know the issue, but I cannot correct it!!!

I'm doing Amelia Earhart. :)  She is very surprisingly like me. :)

Time to go read another Marvel fan fic, cuz I got no life.

I never wanted the throne, I only ever wanted to present well!

Have a little faith in yourself, eh?
I trip on my words all the time and there is nothing worse than doing so in front of your entire class.
All I can say is, BE BRAVE. And believe that you can do this, eventhough you're not 100% confident in yourself (I know I never am in myself). .
Also Amelia Earhart was one awesome aviator!
