I flew until Laura was out of eyesight and then stopped. Learning how to fly had taken a lot of time and I wasn't about to let this day go to waste. I landed on the ground and rested for a moment. Flying still wasn't easy for me. It was definitely going to take practice to get it right. Several times when I tried pushing off I accidentally ended up flying the wrong way. I leaned against a outcrop and sighed. I hope I'm not going to get caught this time.

I started to jog back to Luchter's home. Once I reached his door, I knocked. "Luchter?" I called out. "Are you home?"

I waited half a minute or so before knocking again. When no one answered, I sighed. I suppose he's out training or something. I'll try again tomorrow then.

Cresela's description of her home wasn't as detailed as he'd hoped, but he gave it his best shot. Pausing time Zero scanned the area and looked for a moving house with Cresela's name on it. It took him a while to find, but virtually no time at all in reality as he'd stopped time. Once he'd located it, he unfroze time and held Cresela once more as he took the two of them to her home. "Here we are, should I wait outside or shall I leave?" Zero asked.

"...up. Wake up."

Luchter slowly opened his eyes, blinking them a few times before he got up. Grogginess immediately struck him, drawing a pained groan from his throat.

"Ah, you are finally awake."

Who? Luchter looked up and an unfamiliar face greeted him. It was a girl no younger than him with pale blue eyes and midnight blue hair. The girl smiled and pulled away.

"I apologize for the torrent earlier," she said, rubbing her nape, "The water is getting uncontrollable lately but I am working on that."

...Torrent? Luchter gasped when memories suddenly flooded his head. He abruptly got up to his feet and looked around. "Where is he?" he spat, unintentionally making it sounded like a demand.

"You are talking about that silver-haired man, are you not?" the girl calmly asked, "No need to worry. He is safe and sound."

"And what makes you think I'd trust a stranger like you?" Luchter retorted, worry turning into anger.

"My, my, what a mouth you have," the girl remarked and sighed, "But I will answer your question nevertheless." She stood up and eyed Luchter sternly, "I am to be trusted for she who is standing before you is the creature you have been looking for. The Deer amongst the Wolves. I am Rusalka."

Luchter stared at the girl who claimed to be Rusalka skeptically. Clearly, he wasn't convinced. The silhouette he saw earlier depicted a literal deer, not a human girl. The blue-haired, noticing Luchter's suspicion, sighed and stepped back.

"I suppose I cannot blame you for your suspicion," she said, "Perhaps this will convince you." She closed her eyes. A moment later, light emerged within her, bathing her in a veil of soft light glow. As if on cue, the crystal flowers on the cave walls glowed in harmony with her. She clasped her hands on her chest, creating a ball of light before releasing it skyward. The ball hit the cave roof and spread its light, blinding the entire room. Luchter instinctively turned away and covered his eyes with his arm.

"Do you still not believe me?" Luchter slowly removed his arm in hesitation. He was surprised when he was greeted with a whole new different surrounding. Patches of crystal flowers were scattered everywhere, illuminating the cave with its soft glow. There were few odd-looking trees before him, its trunk emitting light and its leaves made of crystals. A waterfall streamed serenely behind him. The water was so clear Luchter could hardly see it. Tiny balls of light lazily float across the cave.

"It's beautiful," Luchter muttered in astonishment, "Who knew a waterfall could hide such beauty?" He looked around before his eyes landed on a creature, an awfully familiar creature that is. It was a black and blue stag with a set of platinum blonde antlers, each adorned with colorful protrusions. Its legs were shaped like blades, making it appeared graceful, yet deadly.

"...Rusalka?" he mumbled incredulously. Rusalka chuckled and reverted back into her mortal form. She smiled teasingly at Luchter, "Well, now that it is all cleared up, let's move on to the important things, shall we?"

"Neither," I said, grabbing hold of his hand and pulling him forwards with a strength that seemed unnatural for my appearance. As I walked towards the door, it swung open; and luckily it waited for Zero to go through too. I was slightly worried it might of slammed on him.

"Brace yourself," I commented as I let go of Zero's hand. Jumping into the tunnel, I slid down gracefully and flew out of the bottom of it and spun around in mid-air, waiting for Zero to come through as well. Behind me was a long corridor with two doors on each side and a large pair of double-doors at the end.

"Neither?" Zero said confusedly, before he felt himself being dragged by Cresela with strength, which he wouldn't have expected to come out of someone like Cresela. Perhaps she wasn't all defenseless after all like he'd first thought. He watched as she gracefully slid down a tunnel, Zero paused time as he slid down the tunnel. Once he popped out the other end he saw Cresela frozen in mid air, he flew behind her and unfroze time. "So...What you bring here for?" Zero asked, attempting to shock Cresela with how he appeared behind her without her seeing him slide out.

Aki (Hikaru) Yonaka ~ Werewolf

I skimmed across the ground, racing towards the portal out of Helldomain. By now, I could see more demons around. And since it was getting darker, I didn't want to get lost in the demon territory. The last thing I need is attention and possible death. I transformed into my Supernatural form to allow for night vision. Immediately my sight improved. More details showed up that I could never have seen with human eyes. I picked up indivdual scents of demons nearby. I checked to see if any were Luchter's but to my disappointment none were. I picked up speed as I located the portal right ahead. Just a few more feet...

My vision flashed white. Oh God. No, not this. Not now! Before I knew it, I was unconscious on the ground and a memory entered. I gritted my teeth. I can't have a memory now. I tried pushing out the memory, but it still continued.

I found myself in Helldomain skipping happily to the portal, sword in hand. I swung it casually slashing at imaginary enemies. One down, two down, and a third down. Father'll be proud as long as he doesn't know I've been training with Laura instead of Sensei today. As soon as I crossed the portal I started to fly. Halfway across the Mainland, someone called out my name. I looked around and spotted Fang coming up from behind. He was carrying his bow in his left hand and his quiver slung around his shoulder.

"Hiya," I waved to him and stopped. Fang stopped and started to hover a little away from me.

"How was training?" He asked and wiped sweat off his forehead and started fixing his hair.

"Pretty good," I replied. "I bet training went well for you too. You're covered in sweat! When we get home, you HAVE TO take a shower. I won't sleep until you wash off your stink."

I flew over to his side and ruffled his hair which he had just finished combing with his hand.

"Not cool!" He swatted at me. I easily ducked and floated back up.

"Oh yeah, take a look at this, Yuuki," He said and rolled up his sleeves. "Look at these tattoos! Of course they're temporary, but aren't they cool?"

I looked at his arm. The tats were pretty cool, but something else caught my attention. On the other side of his arm, blood covered his skin. I scanned up his arm. His clothes were also slightly soaked with blood. I saw his pants were torn at the bottom and his shoes were streaked with mud.

"What were you doing?!" I queried, worried for him. "Why are you covered in blood?"

He seemed to step back one step. "Father took me hunting," He said quietly. "At first it went well, but he got aggressive and took me into high leveled area. The creatures there were too strong and too quick for me and started attacking me."

Fang broke into sobs, "H-he got furious with my incapability to kill mere animals and punished me."

I hugged him and stroked his back. "Fang, you're capable of many things. Killing just isn't your thing. Don't be upset, please. Don't be upset." I held him until he stopped crying.

A white flash came again. After all that time, I had finally managed to push out the memory. It had taken a lot of energy, but I did it. However long it took for the memory to leave didn't matter. I was finally back in reality. I got up and looked around. No demons were around, but the sun was more diminished. The last few rays were about to disappear sooner or later. I located the portal again and ran towards it. I didn't realize I was in supernatural form until I crossed the portal.

Oh shoot. I hope no one saw me. I swished my tail. I normally used my supernatural form when I was alone or in tight situations. Being half werewolf attracted too much attention. I switched back to human form and headed towards the Howling Woods. I decided to take a longer route instead of the normal straight path across the island. I went along the edge of the island and peered down at the clouds underneath. No matter what, it's said that there was no way to glimpse the human world underneath. I still checked every now and then to see if I can find Tokyo or any other place. Even if I didn't spot anything, I still enjoyed watching the clouds cruise across the sky. I arrived at the portal to the Howling Woods and crossed, silently saying good-bye to the world below.

Rusalka guided Luchter through her chamber, stopping at a large patch of white grass with crystal flowers surrounding it. They sat down on the soft grass and enjoyed what the chamber had to offer.

"Tell me, Luchter. What training have you done so far?" Rusalka asked while polishing her bow which looked like it was forged from her antlers.

"Well, you see," Luchter explained to her about the events prior, how he used to live as an ordinary human and how he had just been living as a demon for a few days. "So, I haven't done much training but I'm good at handling a sword or possibly other weapons. As for fire manipulation, I haven't started at all."

"Interesting," Rusalka remarked. She placed her bow beside her and turned to Luchter, "Well then, I shall tell you more of the Ghost Flame before we start training." Once she was sure that Luchter was intently listening, she started, "The Ghost Flame is a life force which runs in every demon in this world. It dwells within their soul in a form of a flicker of flame."

"Then how is it possible that I can create and manipulate the demons' life force?"

"It started millenias ago, long before the war between vampires, werewolves and demons occured. In Helldomain, there used to live a spirit named Will-O-the-Wisp, or Will-O for short. He was the Demon King back then, despite being a spirit. Many demons respected him greatly, but many respected him simply of fear. Will-O was the Spirit of Life Force, thus he was able to take and give life to the demons. Those demons were afraid that if they were to disobey him, Will-O would take their life, which is ironic since Will-O was a benevolent ruler with wisdom and love for his people. This fear grew worse and worse until these demons decided to dethrone Will-O by force. That was the start of the revolution."

"Did they succeed?"

"Unfortunately, they did. Will-O was quickly overwhelmed by his people's force. He would have been k.illed for good if it had not been for the help of his loyal chancellor. She protected Will-O's weakened form, fought her way through Helldomain and ended up here in Crystal Cave, hidden by the waterfall of Fogbound Lake. Here, she did whatever it took to heal Will-O, but his injuries were far too grave. Will-O, knowing that his death would erase the existence of the demon race, merged into his chancellor's soul and gave her his power as the Spirit of Life Force. His power greatly enhanced her flame, turning it into bluish white in color and strong offensively and defensively. She called the flame Spirit Flame but as time flies, demons call it Ghost Flame instead."

"And where do you fit in?"

"The chancellor spent the rest of her life designing this cave. She refused to return to Helldomain, frustated at the unnecessary rebellion of her own kind. At one point, she created me alongside two other spirits and passed down her knowledge as well as a portion of her flame. She did so so that if anything happened to her merged spirit, she would not bring her kind to demise. As long as we live, so shall the demons." Rusalka stood up and stretched her arms. She offered her hand to Luchter. "If you have anymore questions, keep it. Now that I have told you the history of the Ghost Flame, let's get training."

I wonder what Drake's deal was back then, I guess he's just being protective. Draconia walked over to the teleported in the arena which would take him to the Howling woods. He entered the portal and was transported over to the Howling Woods, he watched the portal, waiting for the others to cross over.

I couldn’t go to sleep. I tossed and turned in my bed. There were too many thoughts going through my head. My thoughts constantly drifted to Luchter. After thinking about him for a while, my mind shifted gears and to my grandfather. Who exactly was he? Is he as terrible as he sounds from the memories I’ve seen?

I rolled over onto my side and stared at my desk at the far side of my room. Inside my top left drawer was my mother’s journal. It felt like ages since I’ve last read from it. My eyes shifted to the drawer and a longing to hear my mother’s words formed. Maybe her journal will give answers the memories won’t. I got up and briskly walked over to the desk and opened the drawer. I took out the journal and closed the drawer. My nightclothes were pretty thin and translucent and didn’t provide much warmth against the night’s chilly atmosphere. I felt my skin get goosebumps as I went outside. The words on the cover shined like miniature stars as I let it bask in the moonlight. I leaned against a tree and found a comfortable position before opening up the book and reading.
I flipped through the pages until I found a part that interested me. The silver lettering was just as beautiful as before. I stroked the smooth page as I read.

Tonight, Father asked me to come with him on a camping trip in the deepest part of the woods, far from any other werewolf. It was a surprise to see him wanting to take me somewhere. I agreed and now here I was with him in a really deep area in the woods. Barely any moonlight gets through the canopy of the woods or the fog. I had to go above the trees to write this. It took quite some effort to get through the canopy though, so this log better be worth the trouble. I feel like Father’s going to show me something amazing. I can feel it in the air. It was my birthday after all. I think he just wants to give a gift to me. But it still was a surprise to see Father show his more tender side and do something nice like that. Fang warned me not to trust Father on this. He said I should be cautious around Father. I wish he could stop treating me like a little kid. I’m almost an adult! Seriously! I can fend for myself. I know Father can kill me if he wanted to. In fact, he can kill almost any werewolf if he wanted to but I vowed never to be defeated easily. If he were to attack and try to kill me, I would give it my all to try and stay alive.
I don’t know what Father plans to do, but we’ve already eaten dinner. How much later can he be waiting to show me what he wants to? ~Yuuki Yonaka
Father finally called for me to go over to him. It was about midnight when he had finally decided to show me what he wanted to. He was standing in a clearing where moonlight managed to shine. Lumps of soil marked where gigantic trees used to stand. I can barely imagine what my father had done to them. He was  in his human form facing away from me in the center of the clearing. It wasn’t a normal thing for him to go into his human form. I suppose this would be extra special. I focused my attention on him. He was muttering some words that were close to inaudible. I trained my ears on his words and managed to catch some of what he was saying.
“...and let their blood run cold. Moon, lend me your power!”
He started to howl so loudly I think he could be heard by the Supernaturals on the other side of the Domain. Even covering my ears didn't help muffle the howls. Harsh winds started blowing and made me have to hold onto a tree in order not to be blown away. The wind stopped, allowing me to look back up at Father. To my horror, fire filled the clearing. More surrounding trees have caught fire.
Father crackled along with the fire, “Yuuki, you see this power?”
He turned to face me. He has transformed into werewolf form. “This is the true power of my Vengeance Ability!”
He pointed at the scar which ran across his face. “You see this? This was inflicted by that arrogant werewolf from last moon. Now he’ll pay for it with his own fire!”
I knew it was wrong to object, but I did so anyways. I can remember my words clearly.
“Father, no.” I said. “Don't become what they all call you. You aren't a soulless lowlife.”
“What was that,” his voice was dangerously quiet.
“Don't kill an innocent werewolf for not understanding anything.” I continued. “It isn't right.”
“Should I show you this power then?” He asked. “Do you want to taste my pain?”
I said nothing in reply. Instead I entered the clearing. The fire has raised the temperature a lot.
“Very well,” he said. “I've tried to protect you, I've trained you to be stronger. If you want to di.e then, that is how it shall be.”
He reared and braced to launch his attacks. I realized there was no way to get away except for lowering his vengeance level. I had no choice but to use air manipulation. Thankfully I managed to hold him off until he lost his rage. He lost consciousness so I had to take him home. He's not as heavy as he looks. Now he's in his room. I hope he really doesn't plan to kill another werewolf. ~Yuuki Yonaka

I closed the journal. It was too much for me. Before I stood up, a voice spoke up from behind. “So you read it.”
I turned around and saw Soraka.
“Hi Soraka.” I greeted.
“Go change out of that and pack up your things.” She continued. “We’re leaving.”

"Why are we leaving?" I asked.

"You don't remember?" Soraka raised an eyebrow. "Training starts today. Well, tonight. We'll be gone awhile so pack some change of clothes and necessities. I have food supply so you don't need to worry about that."
She handed me a shoulder bag.
"Oh, ok," I said. "But why tonight?"
"Just get ready to go," she started to get impatient. "I'll get into details as we go. Time is wasting."
I went inside and grabbed several changes of clothes and stuffed them into the bag. I thought about bringing the journal too, but it didn't seem worth it. Better to keep it safe and read later than lose it and never read from it at all. I put on my sheath and slid my sword into it. I made sure I wasn't forgetting anything and then went outside to meet Soraka.
She was patiently waiting in front of the house. I closed the door behind me as I walked out and waved to her.
She looked up at me, "All right, let's go. Follow me and stay close behind for now. Once we get some good distance we'll slow down. Save your energy for the walking. We can talk later."
She took off at a brisk speed. I ran to catch up. For about an hour, we travelled in silence except for a few "watch out's" or "be careful's".
Finally Soraka stopped. "The way starts to get mountainous here. Let's take a break before continuing. There's somethings I'd like to explain to you."
We settled down under the moonlight so we could see each other more clearly. Soraka's white hair stood out, reflecting moonlight. I could easily make out the rest of her outline.
"First things first," she started. "Many of our bloodline have tried but Nobody; not even the most skilled air masters exceeded in doing what we're about to do. This journey won't be easy, but we aren't backing down right away."
I gave her a stare, "What can we possibly be doing that requires us to do things many have failed?"
Soraka said four words, "The Tower of Ascension."
I paused to consider her words and then asked. "What is the Tower of Ascension?"
She leaned back against the tree behind her. "Far north of the Howling Woods, there's a tower which is so high, the top can't be seen even from the base of the tower. Legend says that if you can reach the top, you'll receive the greatest air powers. Greater power than all the air masters combined.
Being daughters of the greatest air master of all time, I think we can do it. Mother never did try the ToA. She died before she could go. But still, I think we can beat that tower."
She grinned and got up. "For starters, I think I should show you this."
To my surprise, she changed into a werewolf. A full werewolf.
"I thought you were half werewolf?"
"On full moons I can transform into a werewolf instead of a half werewolf." She explained, "It's God's blessing that we can be normal for a day every moon. The same should happen to you. Why don't you try out your supernatural form?"
I transformed and just as she said, I turned into a full werewolf. I examined myself. I had bright orangish gold fur. White fur tipped my paws.
"Whoa..." I said. I turned to see my tail and waved it. "I'm really... A werewolf now."
"So do you have any more surprises for me?" I asked.
"...no that's all for now." Soraka answered. "But there's some things I'll teach you.
"The weather's harsh around the tower. You'll need protection against it. Have you learned to create an air forcefield?"
"No, not yet."
"Ok, I'll show you. It's kind of like creating air to stand on for windwalking."
Soraka floated up and seemed to concentrate. Swirly patterns on her legs appeared and glowed in blue. After the glow faded, she instructed me, "Attack me."
I unsheathed the Divine Light and swung it at Soraka. Instead of hitting her, my blow was deflected by a mass of air. The impact against the forcefield gave a soft glow of blue where my sword struck.
"Now that you have a feeling of the forcefield, try creating it."
I took a deep breath and created a wall of air around me. When I felt like I had created a forcefield, I looked up at Soraka.
She sent some quick winds at me. The was a light yellow glow where my forcefield was.
"Weak," she commented. "Good for a first try, but it can be much better. We'll practice."
She stood up and hung her bag over a shoulder and helped put mine on without scratching or damaging the bag.
"We'll go at press-paw speed," she said after we were ready to go. "This way we can reach the base of the tower by tomorrow. Set up a forcefield around you. Let's go."

" Okay, got it." Using her great speed and agility, Dani crawled up a tree and sat on a branch which was high enough to overlook the whole area. From there, nothing could sneak up on her....as long as she looked all four directions anyways. She faced the direction that the hill was, watching Draconia build the den. Down below, Alisson sat with her back against the tree trunk with arms crossed. Danielle sighed, before looking down at her knives. A flash of brown reflected on the blade, causing her to be on high alert. It was probably just a bird. Nothing to worry about.

I wasn't sure how fast press-paw was, but once Soraka ran off, I got a feeling I was going to be quite tired.

The white werewolf seemed to have read my mind and called out to me over her shoulder, "Don't worry about being out of energy. In werewolf form, we preserve more energy than in human. Plus we can go much faster using less effort. Just focus on following me and staying on the path."
I traced Soraka's paw prints uphill. The terrain became slightly harder to travel, but in werewolf form, I was able to get around the rough terrain easily. Soon enough the woods were thinning out and snow became more common.
After two hours the woods were far behind and we were traveling through ankle high snow. Wind and hail buffeted my forcefield making me constantly reinforce it. Somehow I still wasn't tired. The night's aura seemed to strengthen me. Soraka suddenly stopped and turned to face me. "I found a cave we can rest in. Follow me."
She headed downhill and disappeared behind a lump of snow. I dove in after her and found myself in the safety of sturdy rock walls. I released the forcefield and shook off the snow that managed to slip through the shield. Soraka transformed back into human form and took off her bag. She rummaged through it and took out two wrapped hamburgers. I transformed into human form too and took a hamburger and unwrapped it. I sat next to her and ate in silence, enjoying the taste.
A few minutes into our meal, Soraka spoke up, "How much do you know about Grandfather?"
"Hm?" I asked through a mouthful of hamburger.
"What do you know about Grandfather?" She asked again.
I gulped down the food in my mouth and answered. "Not much, I guess."
"Tell me what you know," she prompted.
"Um, he's our grandfather." I started. "He's harsh on Mother and Fang. He's hurt them several times in her memory so far. He also has a Vengeance ability.
Soraka nodded and put down her hamburger. "There's more you should know. He's still alive and on the loose. I haven't heard of him recently, but he can be up to no good. If you ever run into him, you'd better get away as quickly as you can. Understand?"

It took him a while, but eventually Draconia had finished the tunnel and carved a large den in the Centre of the hill. It was very spacious, all it needed was some furniture an d etc. Satisfied he left the tunnel and looked up to Dani who was sat up in a tree, along with something else "...Dani?".

Jakob strolled around the lake leisurely as he waited for his nephew. He smiled when he heard the waterfall parted and saw Luchter emerged from it, riding Rusalka in her stag form.
"How did it go?" Jakob asked, walking over to them. Luchter raised his fist and opened it. A flicker of periwinkle flame emerged from it.
"It's still not that strong," Luchter closed his fist, vanishing the flame he summoned, "But I didn't think I'd be able to manipulate it this quick."
Suddenly, Luchter heard a rustle nearby. His head quickly snapped to where it was but there was nothing. He sharpened his ears. Gradually, he could hear vague sounds.
"Do you hear that?" Luchter whispered.
"I do not hear anything suspicious," Jakob said, "What is it you hear?"
"A rustle and...a conversation, apparently."
"There must be werewolves nearby," Rusalka said, "I shall mask your scent." Rusalka engulfed herself in a dim pink glow. Slowly, Luchter and Jakob were engulfed in it as well. It quickly vanished seconds after.
"With the barrier, the werewolves will not be able to detect your identity as demons through your scent, not even in their werewolf form," Rusalka explained, "Now let us make haste to your home."
"Not just yet," Luchter retorted, raising his palm. He sharpened his ears again. The more he focused to the voices, the more he noticed that one of them sounded vaguely familiar.
"Could it be?" he mumbled. He jumped off Rusalka and ran through the forest. When he reached a clearing, he saw two werewolves, one silver and one golden, set off into the woods.
"Luchter, what is it?" he heard Rusalka asked but he didn't respond. The golden werewolf looked somewhat familiar to him. He had never seen it before but that shade of golden, he had seen it before. His mind suddenly shifted to when Aki hugged him. Luchter stroke her hair before and that shade of golden, it was awfully familiar with Aki's hair color.
"Could it be her?" Luchter muttered. Subconciously, he felt his legs ran off following the werewolves. He didn't realize Rusalka and Jakob were shouting for him.
---
Luchter let his feet took him as he chased after the werewolves relentlessly. He stopped at yet another clearing when he completely lost track on them. He stood there, panting, quickly realizing he was lost.
"Luchter!" Said demon whipped his head around and saw his uncle and Rusalka, in her human form, running towards him. Rusalka sighed in relief when she saw Luchter safe and sound. Her face quickly turned into a frown as the spirit glared daggers at the young demon.
"What in the world were you thinking, young man?" she exclaimed, "Running off like that in the Howling Woods. You should be grateful that I created that barrier earlier or else!"
"I know, I know," Luchter said, snapping off his mind, "But you should tone down your voice. There might be werewolves here."
"I don't think so," Rusalka said, "Werewolves rarely pass this area. We should be safe here for a while."
"Well then," Luchter looked around and spotted a cave, hidden by snow and trees but it was still visible to him. He smirked and nudged his head towards said place. "I'm pretty tired from my training so I suggest we rest there."

Soraka Yonaka

Soraka watched Aki nod in acknowledgement. Satisfied with her sister’s understanding, she continued, “Others refer to him as the Vengeful Shadow thanks to his personal ability. Him and Mother were on bad terms when they last conversed. She managed to defeat him with pure air manipulation skill since she had the Divine Light in repair. ”

Aki glanced at her katana in her sheath. It wasn’t shining like how it does in battle. Soraka wished she could’ve inherited it, but Mother had other plans apparently. She picked up her hamburger and finished it. It grew quiet as they finished eating except for the howling of the winter wind outside the cave.

“...from my training so I suggest we rest here.” Soraka perked her ears when she heard a new voice. Even in human form, the voice was easy to hear over the outside noise.

“Aki,” she said cautiously, her voice extremely low. “Someone’s here.”

Luchter made his way to the cave he spotted earlier. As he went, he felt that the cold winter wind felt harsh on his skin. Luchter suspected that it might be of him being firebender since it didn't feel so bad back on Earth. Fortunately, Rusalka thought him the breath of fire technique, enabling him to warm himself with his fire manipulation ability.
When Luchter reached the mouth of the cave, he summoned a flicker of his flame to slightly illuminate the cave. He turned to check on Jakob and Rusalka before stepping in. The two were right behind him. Luchter aimed his flame at the ceiling.
"This should be a good shelter," he mumbled. He slowly directed his flame to the ground. To his surprise, he saw a silver-haired girl. He widened his eyes but said nothing. The demon stared at the girl before noticing anither figure behind her. He let his mouth slightly agape when he realized who the figure was.
"Aki?" he mumbled, completely ignoring the silver-haired girl, "Aki, is that you?"

A boy entered the cave. It didn’t take a second for me to recognize him. “Luchter!” I cried out. I shot up and hugged him, breathing in his scent. I buried my head into his chest and stayed there for a moment, embracing his warmth.

I looked up at him, still holding on, “What brings you here?”

"Wha-" Luchter froze when Aki suddenly hugged him. Reluctantly, he put his hands on Aki's arms, unsure what to do.
"What brings you here?" the girl asked.
"Well, I-" Luchter stopped midsentence when he realized how close Aki was. He slightly blushed at the fact and instead of averting his gaze, he locked his eyes with Aki's. Subconsciously, his hand hovered to caress the werewolf's cheek. He halted when he felt the silver-haired girl staring at him and quickly patted Aki's head instead. He gently pushed Aki away.
"Nothing in particular," he said, turning his head away, "I just happened to come across here. I thought this cave was vacant so I came here."
He turned to Aki, "I can ask you the same thing. I heard werewolves rarely pass this area so what brings you and your...friend?"
Behind Luchter, Rusalka eyed him in surprise, but she kept her face straight. She eyed Aki before turning to Jakob and whispered, "Do you know about this?"
"I do, though not entirely," Jakob muttered, loud enough for Rusalka to hear, "Luchter helped the girl the other day. She stayed in his dwelling until she recuperated. Then, he escorted her back to Howling Woods. I did not accompany him at the time so I suspect something happened."
"So she knows? She knows that he's a demon?"
"Indeed."
"I see." Rusalka glanced at Luchter before staring at Aki. "I wonder if she plans to do something to Luchter."

I blushed and smiled when Luchter patted my head. I suddenly realized how close I was to Luchter and pulled away and answered his question.

“Oh, she’s Soraka, my sister,” I replied, stepping back. “She wanted to take me on a training journey to work on my air manipulation. We’re going to the Tower of Ascension-”
Soraka cut me off, “and you can't come. It's too difficult for non-air manipulators to come along. Besides, it's about a day’s trip to it and we don't have spare supplies to share.”
I didn't like how Soraka spoke for me. “Actually,” I said, “I'd like to take the Luchter with me. He can help me with flying since he’s a demon.” I pointed out.
“A demon?!” Soraka suddenly raised her voice. “Since when was it ok to go become friends with demons! How much do I not know!”
“Soraka, please,” I tried to calm her down. “Let's just start over.”
She sighed, “Go ahead.”
I looked back at Luchter apologetically, “This is Soraka. Soraka, this is Luchter. You’ve met once before on the day I came back.”
I recalled the events that took place that day. After I recovered, Luchter took me back to the the Howling Woods where Soraka first met me. I debated whether or not to introduce Jakob too. I decided not to mention him to keep Soraka from getting the wrong idea in her head. Besides, I didn't want to upset the other person with them by discluding her.
“Now Soraka’s taking me to the Tower of Ascension for training.” I continued. “You can come if you like.”
I glanced back at Soraka. She didn't say anything. She was studying Luchter instead.
“This is dangerous,” She said slowly after she finished studying Luchter. “Adding more to our group will make our journey more risky. I haven't told you everything about the tower so I guess now’s a good time.”
She started to pace as she spoke. “The training journey we’re making is really called the Storm Wielder’s Quest which takes place in the Tower of Ascension. The basic idea is for air manipulators to test their air manipulation skills through a series of challenges. In the end, there is a reward for those who complete the tower. From here to the Tower of Ascension will take from a day to two depending on how bad the weather is. In good weather, we can make it there before nightfall. If a storm hits, it'll delay us for at least three hours.
“Besides that, it'll get much colder. We can combine our air shields to make a large one but it'll take much more effort. We can’t afford to take more than one extra person. The larger a shield, the more effort it takes to keep it up.
“The entire amount of time it takes to complete the tower is unknown since no one completed it before. The tower is split into seven floors, the first six floors containing ten levels, each level contains a unique challenge and boss. The top floor contains the final boss that must be defeated in order to receive the prize. The farthest someone made was to the fifth floor, final level. Apparently there was some sort of puzzle to decipher in order to make it to the next floor. He barely made it out of there alive when all the mobs there respawned.
“Anyways, non-air manipulators can only get so far up the ToA since it requires a lot of skill in air manipulation to make it to the top. In other words, even if you do come, you will have to stop sometime into the tower.”
Soraka paused to let the information sink in. She then directed the next few sentences to Luchter, Jakob, and the other person. “If you plan to come, know that there are dangers out there that we can't guarantee your safety from. The challenges are life threatening and many who tried don't come out alive. I plan to take only one other person if we take anyone with us. Too many will attract unnecessary attention from the mobs inside the tower.”
Soraka took another break from speaking. Silence filled the cave as she caught her breath. Then she asked, “So, what shall it be?”

Luchter turned to Jakob and Rusalka. Jakob nudged his head towards the mouth of the cave, gesturing for his nephew to discuss it outside.
"Give us some time," Luchter said to Aki and Soraka before leaving with Jakob and Rusalka. Once outside, the young demon spoke up, "Personally, I would like to come but what about you two?"
Jakob put his hand under his chin, the other arm crossed over his chest. "I am not sure. I have never heard of the Tower of Ascension before."
"I've heard of it but only a portion," Rusalka said, "What Soraka said was true, at least according to my limited knowledge of the tower. Which means if we were to go, only one of us could."
Jakob turned to Luchter. "If that is so, I am afraid I cannot let you go, Luchter. I cannot let you travel with those werewolves without company." Luchter sighed in respond but he knew he couldn't argue with Jakob this time. Jakob had never even fully trusted Aki to begin with so with Soraka in frame, it would be impossible to persuade him.
"I'm not finished yet," Rusalka said with a smile, "Luchter is the wielder of the Spirit Flame and I am one of the spirits who protects the flame from extinction. Therefore, I am able to merge with Luchter's soul. Not only that he'll become stronger but I'll be invisible by doing so as well. In other words, I can accompany Luchter without them knowing."
Jakob eyed Rusalka before turning to stare at Luchter. The atmosphere tensed up until Jakob sighed and smiled. He put his hand on Luchter's shoulder.
"I suppose I cannot let you be on my watch all the time. I am worried for your sake, even with Rusalka in tow, but I know that you need to do things on your own sometimes."
"Even if there's a chance I'll never make it back?" Luchter taunted.
"Demons live in he-ll. It is not surprising if their life feels like he-ll as well, am I right?" Jakob said teasingly.
Luchter chuckled. "Well then, I'll get going. I promise I'll come back." Luchter patted Jakob's shoulder. "Be careful on your way back, Jakob."
"Oh, you do not need to worry about it." Jakob took a step back. Flames suddenly covered him like a small typhoon. When it vanished, he was in his demon form. Jakob smiled one last time before ascending to the sky in a flash. He quickly disappeared into the grey clouds.
"Here it goes." Luchter nodded at Rusalka. The spirit transformed herself into a tiny ball of light and entered Luchter's chest. The demon took a deep breath before entering the cave.
"Ready to go when you are," he said to the werewolves sisters, "And you don't have to worry your heads creating a larger air shield. I'm a firebender, I can heat myself."

" Yeah?" Dani asked, confused. The same brown flash came back, disappearing before she could make out what it was. When she looked to her right, a werewolf with brown fur was sitting next to her. " Back off!" She warned, raising one of her knives in front of her and towards the werewolf. She did not appreciate this weirdo sitting by her with a creepy smile on his face.

While the demons conversed outside, Soraka spoke to her sister. She really hoped the demon wouldn't come. Training Aki was enough. She didn't want to be responsible for two people inexperienced in air manipulation territory. If one of them got hurt, it was up to her to get them healed. Besides, demons and werewolves shouldn't even be together.

"Look, Aki," she said. "I'm responsible for you and the demon if he's coming. If anything bad happens, I'll make sure you two are safe. If I happen to be the one who gets hurt, the two of you must survive. I can manage on my own."
Just as she finished, the demon returned into the cave. "Ready to go when you are. And you don't have to worry your heads about creating a larger air shield. I'm a firebender, I can heat myself."
Soraka nodded, "Very well. Let's get going then."

I packed up my stuff followed Soraka and Luchter outside back into the cold snow. The snowing had stopped and the air was crisp. Even though it was early morning, I could make out some details up ahead. Mountains stood tall in front of me. A gleaming white, spiraling tower extended up from behind the mountains and into the clouds.

“Whoa…” I breathed. “That’s where we’re heading?” I stepped towards a more higher ground, closer to Luchter to get a better view.

“Yeah,” Soraka agreed. “Thank goodness the weather is nice right now. We can get a lot of distance covered if this weather keeps up. Our time as full werewolves is coming to an end.”

She gave a small smile at me and transformed into her werewolf form.

“Luchter, I recommend you go into supernatural form,” she said. “We might as well go flying. Aki needs to get some flying practice in.”

I finally realized that I had unconsciously took hold of Luchter’s hand while I was standing by him. Instead of releasing it, I held on and floated a few inches off the ground to match Luchter’s height. “This time I won’t be falling onto you.” I gave a gentle laugh and took off, dragging Luchter up into the air.

((No not really. I wouldn't say it's inactive, It's just that Zero is waiting for Cresela to get back from her little break. Besides no of us are interacting with them guys right now anyway so it's of little significance, the only person on our end who is inactive is Toaster. I'm not exactly sure what Skylar is waiting for, but yeah other than those 2 everyone is more or less active. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel as though this is one of the few, if any, longest lasting RP's going. XD))

Draconia glared at the Male Werewolf staring at Dani with a bizarre look, he clenched his fists and barred his teeth. Who on earth is that guy? Whoever he is, I don't like him already...still though, I shouldn't attack him unless he harms or offends Dani. I wouldn't want to make a scene. Especially when Drake wants me away from his sister for the time being, and I'm a man of my word, O wont go against him...unless I absolutely have to Draconia thought to himself. "...Dani, come down here. The den is done" Draconia called out, trying to find an excuse to get Dani away from this creep.

" Okay, coming!" Dani shouted, climbing down the tree. The creep at decided to follow, just to be a big nosey weirdo. " Hmm, looks good. Good job." Dani looked down at the den, then glanced over at Draconia. She squinted her eyes at the creep who just stood at her side with a smile on his face. " Okay, what do you want? Get lost!" She really wanted to punch him, even though she was the more friendly type of person; but she was a Kendrick, having a temper runs in her family.

" I have nothing else better to do, miss. Besides, I think you look..." He started to say, but was cut off by Dani shoving him and forcing him down the hole...well, the den anyway.

Luchter Siegcador - Demon

"Oh, about that," Luchter half-mumbled, unsure how to deliver his words. He could transform into his supernatural form but he knew if he did, he would get out of control. He recalled Jakob telling him that he had to knock out the younger demon in order for him to snap out of his demon form. It happened before Luchter could manipulate the Ghost Flame. With his capability now, the demon was afraid the werewolves wouldn't be able to match him.

Luchter, you don't have to worry. I can stabilize your flame while you are in your supernatural form.

Rusalka? Luchter questioned in mind.

Yes, it's me. Look, you just need to listen. You're able to enter your supernatural form with my help. However, since it's solely my power, I won't be strong enough to stabilize your flame for a long time. Get out of your demon form as soon as possible once I inform you. Promise me you'll get out no matter what happens.

Alright, it's a promise. Luchter sighed and closed his eyes. The Ghost Flame briefly surrounded him before it vanished, revealing Luchter's demon form. The demon put the mask which covered his mouth away and tucked it to his pocket. He smiled at Aki and took off. He glanced at his back and realized he didn't have wings unlike last time. Luchter decided to put that aside and focused on Aki instead.

"Frankly, this is my first time flying as well," Luchter chuckled, "But it seems that I have mobility on it already." He let go of Aki hands and flew higher. Sky-high, Luchter flew around the clouds, doing spins and twirls along the way. Once he finished with his test drive, he flew over to Aki. He took both of her hands and gently dragged her upwards.

"So, how far have you achieved in flying?" Luchter asked.

((Sorry for late post. Was busy irl))

“Not much,” I answered, letting Luchter pull me up gently. “I just started flying. Before that, I had practiced windwalking, which is far more tiring than this.”
I floated after him, “I’m still kind of uncomfortable with the whole idea of just- flying. I mean like, there’s no knowing if I’m going to fall one minute or the next, when gravity’s going to pull me down. I don’t have actually wings that will keep me afloat. It’s just my mind at work, really.”
I gave a slight laugh at myself. “I probably sound pretty silly saying this as an air manipulator, but promise me you’ll catch me if I fall?”

"Promise." Luchter let go of his hand and flew backwards about a meter away from Aki. He held out one of his hand towards the werewolf, smiling.

I nodded, "Ok."

I focused my attention on Luchter and slowly shifted my body weight into the air and adjusted my body into flight position and pushed off a block of air and glided over to him. I felt my heart lurch forward once when I almost lost my balance. I quickly flew the remaining distance into Luchter, fearing I would fall.

"Sorry, I'm not really good, knowing that the ground is far below," I apologized for flying into him.

I noticed Soraka gazing at us. She gave a curious look before looking forward again. I gave a silent sigh of relief that she didn't say anything.

"I think I can get a hold of myself," I half spoke to Luchter, half encouraged myself to fly better.

I flew after Luchter, pushing away the fear clinging onto me. For some reason it was rather easy to lose the fear. Maybe it was because I was with him? I slowly gained balance and control of myself as I followed Luchter higher into the sky. I forced myself to keep focusing on him and flying and not to look down.

Soon enough I lost the fear of falling and I chasing after Luchter, gaining courage with every passing moment I was in the air, gliding.

Soraka's voice cut through the air, "Enough flirting. There's a storm approaching. We need to find shelter fast or we're going to get lost."

I came to a stop in the sky. I wanted to protest that I still haven't had enough time with Luchter, but I decided against it. "Ok..." I said reluctantly and took a look at the surrounding sky. Sure enough, the wind had picked up again and clouds were gathering in the distance. I watched Soraka descend to the ground and transform back into human form and started searching the snowy, mountainous terrain.

"Can't we just go back to the cave we were at before?" I queried.

"It's too far to go back to and if we do, the storm's probably going to catch us before we make it there."

"Oh," I said and landed on a less jagged part of the mountain, a rather valley like area.

"I wasn't flirting," Luchter mumbled indignantly as he landed. As soon as he touched the ground, he reverted back to human form.

Your flame is much more unstable than I originally thought, he heard Rusalka remarked.

It's not like it's my fault, Luchter retorted.

It took a few minutes to find a good cave to hide in for the storm. Snow already started pelting down when I called out, "Luchter, Soraka! I found a cave." It was in the valley-like area I was searching in. The surrounding higher ground blocked some of the snow and wind.

Soraka landed in the cave and transformed into human form. She dissolved the air shield around her and dropped her bag on the cave floor. "That was a close call," she said, relief clearly audible in her voice. "We were just about to get hit."

She started unpacking her bag. "We should get some rest while this storm passes. We've been up for practically the entire night."

She took out three sleeping bags. "You're lucky I brought extra material for the journey." She said to Luchter.

She handed out bags to both of us and then setted up her own. "They're made of cold-resistant material and have trapped air inside to keep your body heat inside. A good precaution if the storm gets its way in."

She got into her sleeping bag and adjusted her position to get comfortable. I placed my bag across from Soraka's and slipped into it.

((Sorry, I wanted to post this earlier but wifi was so slow >.< ))

Luchter positioned his sleeping bag a little far away from the werewolves sisters and slipped into it. A little while after, when he assumed the sisters had fallen asleep, he went outside the cave. Most of the wind and snow was blocked by the surrounding higher grounds, but it was still cold. Luchter plumped down onto the ground and breathed out a flicker of flame.

Is something the matter, Luchter? Rusalka asked.

"I suppose you can say that," Luchter answered, giving out a mirthless chuckle. A brief silence befell them before Luchter broke it.

"Rusalka, can I talk to you for a little while?" the demon asked. A light blue ball of light suddenly emerged from Luchter's chest before it landed on the ground next to him. It transformed into Rusalka in her human form as soon as it touched the ground. Rusalka shuffled a little to get herself comfortable before turning to Luchter, signaling him that the demon had her attention.

"You've never really answered how I wield the Ghost Flame, you know. You've told me its history, but why do I possess it? The chancellor has passed away and Will-O's got stronger by merging with her soul, right? So why doesn't he live as the free spirit he used to be?"

"Simply because Will-O knew he couldn't live by himself anymore," Rusalka explained, "When the chancellor passed away, Will-O did live by his own from that point. However, he realized that living alone is no longer possible. He originally thought that his chancellor's spirit would be enough to let him live in solitude forever but as centuries passed, the power dwindled away. The chancellor's spirit still remained but it no longer had the power it used to possess. Will-O realized the only way to survival is by doing the same thing he did to his chancellor, by merging into a demon's soul. That is how the incarnation begin. In other words, your soul are a mix of your own and the past wielders of the flame, which is why you possess the flame. This is why I led you to the Crystal Cave in the first place. I was familiar with your soul."

"Is that so," Luchter mumbled, "Then why did Will-O choose me? Does he even choose the demon he wants to merge with?"

"Obviously. What, you thought he's a fool?" Rusalka slightly glared at Luchter's somewhat sharp question.

     "That's...not what I meant."

Rusalka patted Luchter's shoulder. "You're thinking he picked the wrong choice because you can't control your supernatural form, aren't you?"

"That's not exactly what I have in mind but now that you say it," Luchter hugged his knees to his chest and breathed out another flicker of fire, "It just makes me wonder more."

"Will-O is a wise one, of course he has a reason to choose you," Rusalka ruffled Luchter's hair, much to the demon's dismay, "So don't you ever question your worth ever again, understood?"

"Whatever, just stop riffling my hair already," Luchter whined. Rusalka chuckled at Luchter' whining, making her mischievously ruffled Luchter's hair more briefly before she finally stopped.

"Your hair is already messy anyway," the spirit remarked.

     "Shut up."
