"No, Dani! I'd feel bad not having paid for you. But if your telling the truth, then how about we go for a walk. But before we do, let's ask Drake where we can find him when he's finished with that Allison!" Draconia said.

       "Well back at in the Society, I often went to the beach to go diving with my best friend. You can definitely expect me not to dress like Cresela...nothing too revealing really. And about the thing...and I'll take your memory away again if you react in a way I do not like. The truth is, I'm the child of the only Vampire family that has perfected the use of Celestial Magic. So, I can open up portals wherever and whenever I want. All I need is the name of the place, and not the location so it makes things easier for me." I said, looking down at my feet.

(What Zero says about him being able to get there)

        "Well, nobody knows the exact location, so this one's on me. I can get my bathing suit through my portals. Now shh..you musn't tell anyone," I said smiling, then opening up the portal.

   I stepped inside and waited for Zero to jump in. Usually while being transported, I felt alone, disgraceful. However, I had Zero with me, yet I was missing Lucifer's warm embrace...

   My feet didn't land on grass, but soft sand instead. My eyes widened in surprise, for the hidden island did exist. I slipped off my shoes and clicked off my cloak, so that it fell to the floor. I was only in my romper, and the gentle ripples of the tranquil water moved slowly. The soothing sounds of the waves against the shore along with the beautiful sunset just put me at ease.

         "Hold on, there it is. Now wait here." I said, waiting for my bathing suit to pop out of the portal, for I had already asked Aurelion if he could bring it along so that I wouldn't need to go back to the manor.

     I ran behind a dense group of trees and changed quickly. It wasn't exactly a one peice, but it was definitely not a bikini, for they intensely bothered me. The suit was basically a black tank top plus short bottoms with blue racing stripes running down both sides of my body.

          "See, I told you I don't wear anything too revealing," I said, smiling.

Aki (Hikaru) Yonaka ~ Werewolf

Soraka looked ready to murder Fang. Her eyes flashed dangerously, "The next thing that will be chilling will be your body in your grave if you won't shut that mouth of yours."

I flinched at the harsh words but Fang seemed indifferent. "I'm just saying you should take it easy on Aki. She's only been here for a short while. Don't ruin her it all for her."

Soraka sighed and leaned back against her seat. "Let's just start this conversation over, ok? Aki, I'm not going to hurt you yet. I'm mean to Fang because he knows how to tick me off and he knows he deserves it. You're new so I can't judge you yet so trust me on this. I really do think I figured out your power."

She held out her hand, "Put your hand on mine and think about Tokyo."

I was hesitant to give her my hand. I glanced at Fang. He wore a calm expression. He didn't seem so worried about Soraka's request. I looked back at Soraka and extended my arm to her. I placed down my hand and thought, Tokyo. Tokyo. Tokyo. I watched Soraka to see if she got what she wanted.

After a few moments she spoke, "You're not trying hard enough. Actually think about Tokyo or something about Tokyo, not about whether or not I'm a murderer." Fang gave a snort and muttered something, which I decided to ignore.

I closed my eyes and thought harder. Tokyo. My home in Tokyo. How about that then?

I opened my eyes and gasped. I was no longer in the restaurant. I was in my room at home. I looked around, stunned by what just happened. To surprise me even more, Soraka was standing next to me. But wait, wasn't she from the Domain? Werewolves don't belong in Tokyo so why is she here? I stared, puzzled. Before I could speak, the door opened and a younger version of me walked in. A little boy followed.

That's my brother!

"Aki, want to play the new videogames now?" he pleaded.

"No, I have some work to complete," my younger self responded. "Go do your homework first and then we can play, 'k Hiro?" The younger Aki patted his head.

"Ok!" Hiro replied and bounded out.

"He's cute, isn't he?" Soraka giggled.

"Yeah," I sighed. "He was the best little brother ever. I wish I still had him around."

"Why don't we go back?" she suggested. "It would be awkward for us to be holding hands for an extended amount of time. The food's going to arrive soon anyways. Hopefully Fang won't bother us about what we did."

She roll her eyes as she mentioned Fang. I looked questionly at her. What could make her think in such a way of Fang.

"Uh, how exactly am I supposed to get us out of here?" I asked. I tried thinking of removing my hand, which seems to be the connection which allowed us to come here. Of course it didn't work.

"Try thinking of returning back to the restaurant," Soraka responded.

I gave one more glance at my younger self working at her desk before closing my eyes. I thought about returning to the restaurant. Let me out of here and back into the real world!

Zero's eyes narrowed when Skylar said she would remove his memory, should he react a certain way. He clenched his fists "NO! You Will Not!" Zero yelled. "I will not allow you to erase my memory, hmph the thought makes me sick...and confused. You want to be with me and expect me to trust you, hmph! How can I trust you if you keep erasing my memory, the only time you'd do that is if there is something you don't want me to know! How do I know your not keeping secrets from me, or manipulating me with that. Well no-more! Understand! Unless I grant you permission to do so, I will not allow it!" Zero yelled, slightly irritated. When Skylar told him that nobody knows where it is, Zero laughed. "Kuahahahahaha, you think I, Someone who can manipulate space wont know where a place..." Zero  paused in the middle of his speech realizing it wouldn't help Zero nor Skylar if he talked her down. Zero sighed "...Whatever" Zero said looking up at the tower of books on either side of him. Zero raised an eyebrow as Skylar opened a portal, he followed her through it, falling through the dark abyss. when he felt his feet stood on soft white sand he looked around and saw a rather beautiful beach. Skylar ran behind some lush green bushes and changed into her swimsuit, she came out wearing a completely different swim suit to what Cresela wore. Zero took one quick glance before lying on his back with his left leg stretched and right bent, he rested his head on his hands and pulled out a leaf from a nearby bush. He then picked the leaf and placed it in his mouth, playing a tune.

     I watched as Zero just simply laid down and started playing his leaf flute like he did earlier.

         Ever since I've arrive at the Domian, everyone seems to overestimate themselves, and Zero's one of the victims. Just because he can manipulate time and space, doesn't mean he can pinpoint an island that belongs in a myth. Sheesh, I'd really not bother at this time, I thought raising an eyebrow.

        "You're not going to come in the water? I can just place down a spell that would allow us to breath underwater, since coming up for air would just be a waste of time," I said, turning my head.

       (What Zero says)

 (if answer is no)"Do what you please. But don't regret it, since you just haven't seen the whole entire beautiful underwater echosystem. It's truly a sight," I whispered before walking towards the shoreline.

(if answer is yes)"Great to hear. Come on, I'm sure that you'll like it. Make sure to stay close, since I wouldn't want you to stray far and get lost. The ocean is somewhere you don't want to get lost, really," I replied, smiling, before making my way to where the water meets the moist sand.

     I gave the water a little kick before casting the spell. After that was complete, I waddled into the water until the surface reached just below my shoulders. I slipped my fins onto my feet so that I would get a boost when I kicked, and arched my back quickly, diving down.

     I could tell that the spell was working, but not 100 percent casted, since I had minor difficulties breathing, but I could live with a little difficulty. Back at the society, I remember I had to swim about ten to fifteen minutes away from shore before I would see the first coral reef, but here, I'm assuming that it would be different, considering that it is a world of fantasy. My kicks were slow, but organized as I examined the barren sand that flowed smoothly with a tiny silver fish dashing by ever so often. Sometimes I would see little groups of fish, but nothing more than five...well that would change as soon as I reached the reef.

         Aurelion, could you please locate the nearest aquatic ecosystem, and make it impressing? I asked.

         Just eight minutes ahead of you, Miss. Aurelion replied.

" What, why would I lie? Lying will get you nowhere. I have no reason to tell you anything besides the truth." Dani explained. " Sure, a walk sounds fine. Let me go ask my brother if it is fine with him." She stepped back into the restaurant, approaching Drake and Alison.

" Hey, Drake, do you mind if Draconia and I go for a walk? We should be back in time to watch the fight." Dani asked. Her brother nodded. " Thanks." She quickly ran back to Draconia. " Okay, he says that is fine. So, where are we going?"

"Anywhere really. I don't really know this place inside and out yet, so sorry If I don't take us to some flashy location. Let's just keep walking and see where we get" Draconia said, smiling, he then offered his hand to Dani.

"We're back," Soraka's voice announced.

I opened my eyes to find myself back in the restaurant. I withdrew my hand from Soraka's and leaned back against the seat. I was suddenly tired, as if being in Tokyo with Soraka wasn't a good idea. My attention moved on to the waiter. He had just arrived with our food.
"One sushi platter for you, sir," he said politely. "And ramen for each of you young missus."
He set down the bowl in front of me and the ramen' aroma made my mouth water.
"Thank you," Soraka said after the waiter finished giving out the food.
He bowed and left. I took the chopsticks and started tasting the ramen. It was just as good as it looked- no better. Somehow it had a special spice to it unlike the ramen from Tokyo.
"Wow!" I exclaimed. "It's so good!"
Soraka looked up from her bowl and a little smile formed on her lips.
~
After finishing our food, we paid and left. I skipped along the road heading home, humming to the SAO theme song. Seeing my brother again made me constantly think of him. Was he also a werewolf since he was my brother? Maybe I'll see him again! But then again, he's too young to have been born from my mom. I stopped at my door and looked back at Fang and Soraka. I called over to them, "Are you staying or not?"
"Yeah we're staying." Fang responded.
I let them in and closed the door. I let them explore the area by themselves. "I'll be in my room. I'm kinda tired and I want to rest." I went into my room before I could get an answer and flopped down on my bed.

((Sorry I haven't posted, I was waiting for permission from Toaster to use her character but she still hasn't responded. Since I want to get this battle over and done with I'm going to control her char to, hopefully she wont mind))

There was an eerie presence in the Howling Woods. The first to know was the Halfblood known as Aki, there was a blinding light and before she knew it she was teleported to some sort of battle ground. The same goes for Draconia and Dani, and Drake and Allison to.

"You will have as long as you need Drake Kendrick to master the Technique I gifted you with, I have stopped time until you master it" The ghostly voice called out.

"...Alright" Drake replied with an uncertain tone.

*

Zero was still resting on the soft white sand when a voice suddenly raced through his head.

"She thinks your overestimating yourself, my son" Glave informed.

"...Really" Zero replied simply gazing into the clear blue sky.

"Yes. She doesn't realize that so long as a place exists in reality, you can get there" Glave said.

"..." Zero didn't reply.

"I came to inform you that I'll be taking you from here, your rematch with Drake is set to take place anytime now! Come, Let's go!" Glave said

"Eh...let me think of an excuse..."

"YOU DON'T NEED AN EXCUSE!" Glave yelled.

Zero listened as Skylar requested for him to join her, she told him that he'd never seen the beauty of the reef Yeah right, who needs to see the reef when you can see the universe, planets, galaxies..."Er...No" Zero said declining her request. He watched as she swam into the water "Alright that should buy me some time...Let's go" Zero said. And in an instant both were teleported to the arena, where Zero had faced Drake once before. Zero stood on the sandy floor and looked up to see Drake already stood and waiting there, his pack sat in the seats behind him.

"It's about time you showed up! Time for my sweet revenge!" Drake taunted

"Okay" Zero replied confusedly

The Headmaster and Glave were once again perched on high podiums.

"Same rules and restrictions to both of you as last time boys! You both remember them yes?" The Headmaster questioned.

"Yeah, Whatever!" Drake replied

"Yup" Zero answered as well.

"Alright, Zero you know what you can and cant use or do, Drake...just no killing! Let the battle...Begin!" The Headmaster yelled.

((I will post the rest later, but for those of you mentioned in this post, you wont be able to make an RP post until I finish up with this battle. Just a Lil heads up.))

((Operation: Stalking Zero is a-go))

In the middle of the room was a large, thick, ornate wooden table. It was the only "real" thing in this room other than me. Placing the box down, I ran one finger through the intricate carvings adorning the surface. The tip of my forefinger glowed slightly; a result of the arcane residue from the magical enchantments woven into every fibre of the object.

Moving my hands, I lifted up the lid of the box and took out a single strand from the clump of Zero's hair. I held it up to the dingy light danging from the ceiling, and as if it knew what to do, it immediately grew brighter, fully illuminating the piece. It was a pure white, and seemed to absorb the light, making it glow slightly.

Recalling my current task, I carefully placed the piece of hair back in the box, seperate from the large group. Pushing the box back up to the edge of the table, I reached over to the cabinet next to me and drew out a rod of metal.

I only hope this works, I told myself.

The technique was simple enough, but I knew it would be much harder in practice. Books had a tendency to make things appear that way. Bracing myself, I grabbed the two ends of the rod of metal, and began to pull. I muttered an incantation as I did so. Immediately, small flickers of shadow started dancing around and, in some cases, through the metal. As the rod curved around into a circular shape, it's surface ended up looking like a plait.

"As your own shadow contorts when exposed to new things, may the shadow's of others do likewise.

And, in contrast, may you and all things change when exposed to shadow."

It was like some ritual incantation... and I suppose, in a sense, it was. With a clatter, the ring fell onto the table.

The ring looked rather insignificant. But, then again, it WAS rather insignificant... at the moment. Reaching over, I picked up the strand of Zero's hair from earlier, and dropped it onto the ring. As it fell, tendrils of shadow magic reached up to catch it, enveloping it fully so only a faint glimmer of white was visible when the strand was pulled fully into the ring. Immediately, the ring shimmered, and became a dark silver colour. Reaching over, I slipped the ring onto my left index finger.

As I twisted my hand, I could feel the slight connection to Zero that the ring held. It would be a much easier way for me to carry around the piece of Zero, and if need be, I could make it do other things as well. That was the design of this ring; it was meant to be flexible. The person who had designed it and wrote it in the book had done a good job at making sure it's limitations were endless.

Glancing at the table, I read the golden signature etched onto the right-hand corner closest to me. Author to the shadow book and creator of this magic table, his signature was as bold and proud as it should of been.

The signature brought a smile to my face as I reached my right hand over my left hand and held the ring in-between my thumb and index finger.

Thank you father, I thought to myself as I entered the scrying trance.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
         Thanks, Aurelion. It was a great experience, but my feet really hurt at this point. I'm going to head back to the manor after this, I thought, smiling as the water rushed past my face.
    When the water shallowed, once more, it was already dark, and Zero was nowhere to be found.
         "Overestimation is one of the most dangerous things. I tend to think a little low of myself if I really had to admit.  Too bad I couldn't fight a real match against such a demon with no attack power," I muttered, picking up my little pile of clothing and wrining out my hair.
    I watched as the little drops of water hit the white beachy sand, making the tinest indents and slightly darkening the shimmering white material. I felt the few little drops of water running down my back, which caused me to shiver. The spell faded and I removed the fins from my aching feet. Even if they hurt, the trip was worth it. Zero doesn't know how much I cherished my life back in the society. No matter what Zero thinks he can do, it's only in this world and no other, and it bothers me when he acts like he can do anything in the world. When I left the society, I gained these powers but I don't feel like I gained something that made my life happier. I loved my friends and family, I loved everything about it, even if I didn't want to admit to the darkness that still lingered. I was forced to act like everything was perfect when on the inside, the monsters were slowly eating away at me.
         No I musn't let Zero know. I musn't make him look down at me even more than he already does. All he wants is power, but I want something more than that, something that power cannot get. I don't know if it's his family who influenced him in this way, but I wonder what his parents' views are on each other. Do they really love each other? I mean I couldn't think this way for sure, but it seems that his father isn't the type of person who gives into true love. There is a possibility that Zero might be like this, making my decision to be his partner wrong. Oh, what do I do? Leave him and let Cresela clean up after his mess? No way...I'm not losing to a weak demon who depends on attraction for survival, for that's no survival at all. I need to get away for a while, I thought, organizing my thoughts together as I passed through the portal of celestial magic.
     Within a few seconds, I was back at the bathroom of the manor. I took a shower once again and headed back to my room, placing another set of clothing into the bin of clothes to be cleaned. I threw on a crop top baseball tee and black skinny jeans. I shivered as the wind blew through the window, and noticed that my black flare coat was replaced, so I put that on too and made my way downstairs, where I met Merlin once more.
Immediately, like the first time, Zero was the first to strike. He knocked Drake back, Drake's feet scraping across the sandy floor.
"Argh. Fight me head on you coward! Are you still going to use that puny technique!" Drake mocked, though slightly angered.
"Puny? It seems to work, no?! I didn't see you dodge, block or evade it, did I" Zero replied cockily
"Argh!" Drake Growled.
Zero then struck Drake with a continuous series of barrage attacks using Tokitobashi, purple and blue particles with white sparkles bursting out of Drake in beams.
"...Give up? You wont have to take a beating from me anymore!" Zero offered, mocking Drake.
"Heh, Your forgetting I'm a Werewolf. I'm Physically Tougher than you! I'll just make you soil yourself like you did last time now that I know how I did it!..." Drake said with a sinister smirk.
"So Do I!" Zero answered with widened eyed, racing towards Drake on his Dynamos.
Drake once again let out his terrifying roar.
"Not gonna Happen!" Zero said. He cracked a region of space, sending the sound waves into the vacuum of Space. "I feel sorry for which ever planet has to hear that"
"Wha-What did you just do!" Drake said angrily.
"It's not what I just did what you should worry about!" Zero said kicking Drake in the chin. Zero once again carried out his barrage of attacks. Drake was getting sent flying across the whole arena, as what he once relied on to give him the edge before was no longer of use against his current opponent.
"N-No, my Brother...is...is...is going to loose!" Dani said frightfully.
"...Don't worry Dani, he's still not used his trump card!" Draconia comforted placing his arm around Dani and holding her Shoulder.
"That's right! Drake can still win this!" Allison exclaimed.
"The question is, whether it's enough" Aki said, trying to think whether or not the technique would be powerful enough to counter the technique Zero was using.
"Well, Well, looks like I'll be winning this battle without having lost either of my arms this time. Any last words Drake?!" Zero said smirking.
"Yup, LEND ME YOUR POWER!" Drake yelled
"...huh...?!" Zero said confused.
"I REQUEST FOR YOUR POWER! ALPHA MODE!" Drake roared.
"I give you my power, Alpha!" Draconia shouted being the first to stand, spreading out his hands towards Drake and watching his aura pour off of him and flow on to Drake.
It wasn't long before the rest of the Pack stood on their feet and offered their power to reaching out their hands towards Drake. "We to, lend you our power, oh Alpha!" The girls all said. All their auras sliding off of them and raining on to Drake.
"Thank You My Pack! Now I can show this creep his place!" Drake thanked.
Drake's pack slumped on to their seats exhausted from their Drained energy. Draconia was the only one able to sit up straight, but only barely so.
"Okay, now the mutt is glowing all sorts of colors" Zero said looking in awe and confusion. "No matter let me show you how insignificant you multicolored aura change is" Zero said stopping time for 0.1 seconds (Tokitobashi) and charging up to Drake, though Drake was unaffected by the stop and could clearly see Zero coming, dodging his attack, before striking him on the back.
"Wha-What the!" Zero cursed. "How did you see that!" Zero questioned angrily.
"You see in Alpha mode, my power is multiplied by all the members in my pack. So my Speed increased greatly, I also used Aki's air manipulation and Draconia's momentum to enhance my speed further. In other words I'm to fast for your measly 0.1 second time stop!" Drake explained
"Im-Impossible! That cant be!" Zero said shocked, refusing to believe his words. He charged towards Drake once again who bit a piece of Zero's arm off, once again remaining unphased by the effect of a 0.1 time leap. He kept his distance waiting for his arm to heal, only to find it was doing so incredibly slowly.
"This cant be real, now what!"
"Now? Now, I used my family's bite and combined it with Allison's Gunderson's freezing bite. Your Regen has been slowed by the freezing effect and aura depleting effect!"
"That's cheating! Your pack cant help you fight me!"
"They're not!" Drake replied smartly
"Argh!" Zero growled. "Fine I'll just ware you down!" Zero said, as he moved on to a different tactic. He would just teleport to the opposite side of the arena whenever Drake reached him, making Drake run and jump from one side to the other.
"Fine, you wanna keep running?! I'll just make it that there'd be nowhere to hide in the battle field!" Drake said running in a circle.
"What's that supposed to mean"
Suddenly there was a tornado which brewed up in the arena, sucking up everything. "Now there's nowhere for you to hide, even if you teleport. This is my manipulation of Aki's air powers, and let me just make it into a flaming one!" Drake said before engulfing his body in flames, using Draconia's Hellfire Strike turning it into a Flaming Tornado. Zero was sucked into the flaming tornado taking blow after blow by the burning spin, each attack growing in power due to Hellfire Strike's effect as well as receiving powered blows with Drake's insanity driven power. Even a 0.1 time Leap wasn't enough for him to escape. Zero's regen wasn't doing him much good as he was being attacked quicker than he could recover.
"Zero you are now permitted to use a 0.2 second time leap!" The Headmaster declared.
Zero was relived, but not satisfied as it still wasn't enough. With this new power, Drake seemed to be fast enough to counter a 0.2 second Time Leap.
"AAAARGH! I cant take much more!" Zero screamed.
"...You are now permitted to use a 0.5 Time Leap!" The Headmaster shouted.
"0.5! Yes!" Zero shouted stuttering. The new limit to what he could use was plenty of time for him to escape the vacuum of the Tornado. "Now, I'll blow you into an oblivion with a single blow! Parti....Ack, Wh-Wha...?! NOOOOO!" Zero screamed as the blast he was going to end Drake with mysteriously vanished as he charged the blast. "I-I lost to much power during Drake's hits in the tornado. I couldn't maintain my power, Nooo!" Zero yelled, as time started once more. It wasn't long before he could see Drake plummet towards him down the eye of the tornado, Zero was defenseless as he'd lost too much power.
"I win! DIE!" Drake roared as punched right through Zero leaving a whole right through him. Moments later the Tornado vanished blowing dusts and flames outwards in powerful gusts. Everyone was protected by a barrier. Drake still in his insanity stat ran towards Zero in an attempt to rip him to shreds, but Glave flew right in front Drake. Drake's head and neck then mysteriously cracked backwards. He then reverted into human form, He was falling to the ground, but Glave lifted him with one arm, he then signaled the Headmaster...
"And the Winner is...Drake Kendrick!" The Headmaster announced.
"If only we had the energy to cheer..." Draconia said looking at his exhausted comrades.
Glave gave both Zero and Drake a tablet which brought them both back to their sense, the whole through Zero quickly healed up. Zero lifted his hand waiting to shake Drake Kendrick's to congratulate him.
"Eh...Sorry I was acting a little...Never Mind. But Hey you won, aren't you happy?" Zero said looking at Drake's unsatisfied look. Drake shook his hand and then quickly let go, he then turned his face away from Zero, put his hands in his pocket's and looked at the battle ground.
"No...I'm not!" He answered.
*Why? You won!" Zero replied, confused as to Drake's reasoning.
"I was saved by mere rules! I hate just thinking about it!" Drake said.
"Well, Er..."
"You weren't able to fight at full power, yet I fought at 100% and slightly over since I used power which doesn't really belong to me alone! listen, I'm gonna train, and one day I'll fight you at full power. The both of us, nothing to hold us back!"
"Sounds like fun!" Zero agreed smiling. The two boys gazed into each others eyes before turning around and parting ways, thinking about the time they'd meet again.
(( Well, the end after the battle was over, didn't really fit Drake's personality well. But that does not really matter because that battle was awesome!))
Drake walked out of the arena, ignoring the cheers from the crowd. Sure, it was an amazing victory, but he thought he could have done better. If it weren't for the rules, it would have been the way he truly wanted it. Ugh! Stupid rules! Of course, I won, but father won't be very pleased. But hey, he should at least be proud of me. He met up with his pack, who were still trying to recover from him taking their power.
" What a battle that was! Glad to see my brother celebrate his victory. I'm very proud of you." Dani said, hugging her brother tightly.
" Thanks." Drake said plainly.
" What? Are you not pleased?" Dani asked, pulling away with her hand on his shoulder.
" Nope. Rules always have to get in my way of finishing the job. I could have done better!" He shouted.
" But you still did a great job. Don't let yourself down. Say, maybe tomorrow I can train you in knife wielding. You'll learn from the best around." Dani said, flipping one of her knives in her hand.
As soon as Luchter entered his bedroom, he slumped his body onto his bed, completely ignoring the fact that his uncle was there. Jakob was sitting on an armchair with his feet crossed while reaading a book with a pair of glasses.
"I trust your training went well?" Jakob asked, gazing down at his nephew from the book he was reading.
"Yeah," Luchter answered lazily, "It all just felt natural for me."
"It's not surprising, considering you inherit your father's fighting abilities," Jakob remarked. He set his book aside, put down his glasses and walked over to the bed. He sat down on the edge of the bed facing Luchter.
"Does that mean I get to wield my lance now?" Luchter asked.
"Your skills in fighting physically doesn't affect your mobility on the lance," Jakob explained, "Once you are able to manipulate the Ghost Flame, I will let you wield it."
"And when is that?" Luchter asked, even though he knew what the answer was.
"It is still a mystery we have yet to solve. We have to be patient if we want to unravel it." Jakob fiddled with his gloves before locking gaze with Luchter again, "I can teach you how to manipulate ordinary flames, but I am not sure how I can teach you to control the Ghost Flame. However, I do know something that might just help."
"What is it?" Luchter rolled over to his stomach and rest his chin on top of his crossed arms.
"Krasiva once told me of a legend originated from the Howling Woods. Legend said that beyond the woods lies a lake bounded by fog thicker than the ones in the woods, hence its name, Fogbound Lake. This lake is not just a crater filled with water, it is said to have flames dancing on its surface. It is guarded by the spirit Rusalka. Rumor has it that whoever dare to trespass the lake will be lost, forever."
"So, what's the connection between this lake and the Ghost Flame?"
"According to the legend, the first wielder of the Ghost Flame created Rusalka alongside few other spirits and passed down her knowledge of the flame to them. If we find Rusalka and prove your worth, you will be one step closer to master the Ghost Flame. It might be dangerous, but I cannot offer you any other option."
Luchter stared to the ceilings contemplated what Jakob had said. I've never thought gaining control of the Ghost Flame would be this complicated, especially knowing that I'm its wielder. Rusalka sounds dangerous, but if I don't find her... I'd never be able to control my own power. Speaking of which, I wonder if I can get control of my demon form once I master the flame? Or is the curse permanent?
So many questions yet so few answers.
"Alright, then. We'll search for Fogbound Lake tomorrow."
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

       I panted heavily as I wiped a bead of sweat away from my face. I slid my blades back into their little thin bags and looked around at all the beauty I had created. Each tree had a clean cut on a perfect angle, with no mistaken indents or accident cuts.

           "I suppose practicing dual wielding on trees was pretty fun today, but I've never tried these blades on anything that moved. Now I have a way to penetrate any type of barrier. I might need to get back to Jax to ask if my blades could be enchanted, or plainly get replacements," I muttered to myself, looking at the fallen wood.

       I watched as Aurelion appeared behind me, since I've given him permission to be summoned without my call when there is nobody near within a diameter of three fourths of a mile. He leapt effortlessly into the air and hovered with his comets circling his body like usual.

           "Miss, what shall you do with all this wood?" Auelion asked, tilting his head.

           "I don't know. What do you think I should do?" I asked in reply.

           "Perhaps you could build a look out tower in the canopy." Aurelion suggested.

          "How do you think I will manage such a thing?" I questioned, walking over to one trunk.

           "Allow me to demonstrate," Aurelion offered, opening up a portal and picking up a tree in his mouth with ease, then gently letting it go into the portal.

      When I looked up at the trees that remained above me, the trunk was laid flat across two of the thicker branches of the tree. Aurelion just kept on moving all the trunks in until there were no trunks left on the ground. In the trees were a pile of trunks, waiting to be carved and shaped into a beautiful hideout. I held my hands out on both sides of my body and allowed magic to fly me up to the great elevation. There, I used blades created from the energy stars give off, and since celestial magic's ability is the greatest of all magic as well as it is unknown, it easily slid under the bark. Each stroke was smooth and long, a section of rough bark falling to the floor.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Again, I was overcome with exhaustion as one side of each trunk had its bark stripped away clean.
           "Allow me to create the platform the lookout will sit on and the support beams. You can fill in the rest how ever you'd like it to be, alright?" Aurelion asked, as he started sticking sections together with his celestial breath, that eventually was a platform supported by smaller triangular peices.
           "Well, what do I do in the meantime while you're getting this work done?" I questioned.
           "Get back to ground level, so you do not raise suspicion and just make yourself seem as natural as possible," Aurelion requested, continuing his job.
      I nodded reluctantly and floated down to the forest floor and found a patch of soft grass so I could sit down and find something to do. I opened my satchel to take out the book and continued where I left off.
Aki (Hikaru) Yonaka ~ Werewolf
I collapsed down and gasped for air. Drake's Alpha mode had drained my energy to emptiness. I felt strength slowly flow back into me. Soon enough I could sit back up. Instead of getting up, I just laid there and stared up at the ceiling of my room. I guess I won't be telling Soraka or Fang about this.
I turned onto my side and looked at my stopwatch. The little piece of technology ticked softly on my desk. It was an hour after noon. How long have I spent laying down? I reached out for my watch but before I grabbed it Soraka came in.
"Hey Aki-" she paused. "Wow, you're looking exhausted. Was that from before?"
She sat down next to me. "Fang and I were talking, and we were thinking of taking you on a training journey."
"Training journey?" I echoed as I slowly sat up. "Why?"
"You won't grow any stronger if you keep living like this," She pointed out. "You would easily be defeated by other werewolves. So I'm thinking of training you in air manipulation."
I tilted my head slightly. "What about, um, Sensei Jay?" I recalled my mother's Sensei from her memory. "Or Laura?"
"Jay stopped taking in students. He's too old. Laura is a demon. As good as she is in teaching about air, it's a terrible idea to keep going into demon territory." Soraka easily responded. "These days aren't like before. Tensions are pretty high between the species. It's not worth it to get caught traveling in other occupied territory."
"Oh," I said.
We sat in silence for a moment. Soraka was looking at her sword, as if interested in it.
"So, would you like a training journey?" Soraka repeated.
I thought about it. What harm could a journey do? "Sure," I decided. "Except not today."
She nodded understandingly and then left my room.
I laid back down and closed my eyes. I guess I'll rest for today.
I barely got any rest before a bright flash appeared. Instantly I knew I was in another memory. I somehow gained strength as I took form as my mother.
~Memory state~
I squinted my eyes to adjust to the darkness around me. Two green eyes faced me, glowering. They were somewhat familiar.
"Father," I growled. "Don't hurt Fang. Fight me instead."
The hidden werewolf stepped out of the shadows. "Very well Yuuki." The dark furred werewolf smiled, showing his sharp fangs. Without warning, he lunged at me. I cried out as he tore at my shoulder. Reflexively I targeted him and launched a fury of attacks. I landed a series of blows across his face hoping it would temporarily blind him. He slashed his claws at the air before him, not allowing me to get close. I looped around and bit him from the side. It was barely a nip since he gave no reaction expect for turning to swipe at me. His eyes glinted red and my fury dissipated.
"Oh no," I whispered. I was locked in my position, unguarded and right in front of myself.
The werewolf before me started radiating dark auras and his muscles bulked up. He wore a crooked smile knowing I was about to be defeated. In one swift motion, he ripped at my chest, taking out tufts of fur and revealed soft flesh underneath. I reverted into human form out of lack of strength. I faced my father with my hand on my sword's hilt. I still haven't lost. I can keep going. He had ended his special ability assuming I had given up. He towered over me, "Still not done?" I could hear a bit of pride under his amused voice.
"Never!" I replied and unsheathed Divine Light. In human form I was just as agile as my werewolf form. With my lean body, I could dodge more assaults and get to vulnerable areas. I slashed in an arch, shooting light towards him. My blade glowed brightly as I wielded it, stopping one slash after another and delivering attacks while the opposing werewolf was unguarded. In the rush of the battle, I didn't notice him radiate some more energy. I unleashed one of my most powerful attacks hoping to end the battle. I had practiced it well and it was definitely not going to fail. I studied my father's face as I went through the combo move. Jump, slash right, left, right, left- suddenly he transformed into human form and slipped downwards and under me. Pain stabbed my side. I stopped and collapsed onto the ground clutching my stomach. I curled up and whimpered quietly. A gruff voice came from besides me.
"You've done well, Yuuki," he said with slight approval. "But you could've done better. Train harder, and next time fight better. If I find you slacking like Fang..."
He didn't have to finish the sentence for me to know what he was going to do.
"Go heal up, I'll have a talk with this one," he picked me up and carried me over to the exit of the cavern and dropped me. I quickly got up and limped to my home. I couldn't care less about the bloody trail I left. It was going to get washed away by next the rainfall if someone doesn't clean it up first.
~Reality~
Another bright flash brought me back to reality. The pain I had just felt... It's so terrible it couldn't have been real. I gingerly touched my waist where the werewolf's final blow had hit. There was no sign of injury. What had my mother gone through?
I recalled the memory. Mom had addressed the werewolf as Father which meant- I gasped in realization. The devilish werewolf in that memory is my grandfather. How could I have such a cruel family member? I couldn't stand thinking about what I had just witnessed. I undressed out of doubt. It felt all too real to have been a maternal memory. I checked all over my body for any scars or injuries but my skin proved nothing had scratched me. I sighed and dressed into light clothing. Maybe some air manipulation practice would help get this off my mind. I decided to leave the Divine Light in my room as a precaution. I felt it would bring back the memory if I saw it during the time I'm about to spend trying to forget, or at least make it fade a bit. I tied up some of my front hair with a ribbon and loosely tied together some remaining strands. I went to the living room where Soraka and Fang were to tell them where I was going but they weren't there.
"I guess they left while I was having that memory." I thought aloud. I shrugged and then left the house. I locked it from the outside and then windwalked up.
((Note: My final test will start tomorrow (argh) so I will be less active than usual for the next seven days or so.))
"Is it really alright lie to Krasiva and Elise about our journey? Will Krasiva be convinced?" Luchter asked, fixing the colars of his clothes.
"If we told the truth, Krasiva would do whatever it takes to stop us. It is better to do this in discreet," Jakob said, occasionally glancing at the window, "I cannot lie to Krasiva face on. She will see through my lies and... it would not be good. That is why I made this note." Jakob showed Luchter a piece of paper before putting it down on a table. "Usually, this is enough to convince her so let's hope it will as well."
--------
Not long after, Luchter and Jakob made it to Howling Woods without suspicion. They walked aimlessly through the foggy forest until Luchter came to a halt.
"Jakob, wait," he said, "We can't possibly go on without hiding our scent or something, can we?"
"That is correct," Jakob said but he kept walking on nonetheless.
"Don't you think we need to hide our scent or something? I won't like it if they find out who we are."
"Neither will I."
"Jakob, this is seri--"
"I have weakened our scent," Jakob turned to face his nephew, "However, if they come close to us, they will undoubtedly notice our true identity. We must go on but we need to be cautious."
"Fine," Luchter shrugged as he kept up with his uncle's pace.
Zero looked for his farther after his "defeat" to speak to him, however he was nowhere to be seen.
"I wonder where he went...Oh well I guess I'll be off" Zero said teleporting out of the arena in to mainland. "Man that Drake, he sure was something else. Though he did get angry, knowing the only reason he won was due to rules being in place. Had they not been there, then, It would have been mine. But still I agreed so he shouldn't have been so angry. I guess it's just how he is as a person" Zero assumed. "Man I'm starving, I guess I'll grab a bite to eat" Zero said, stopping by at the nearest takeaway in the domain, he grabbed a sub and then went outside and sat on a bench as he started eating away at it...
Luchter Siegcador - Demon
Luchter followed his uncle as they wandered around the Howling Woods. Luchter wondered how the werewolves could make their way here, all the routes they'd taken looked the same to him. Countless tall trees, fog covering the atmosphere, Luchter couldn't tell the difference between one area and another.
"Jakob, are we close?" Luchter asked. Jakob hesitated before he answered.
"Frankly, I do not know."
"Come again?" Luchter exclaimed in disbelief. Jakob quickly gestured him to keep his voice low. He looked around him before turning to Luchter.
"It is, after all, a place which exists in the legends. How am I supposed to know precisely where it is?" Jakob remarked defensively.
"Then why didn't you tell me from the start?" Luchter asked impatiently, infuriated that they had actually wandering in circles this whole time.
"I was hoping you would sense something, but I suppose not."
"Well, the least you could do was tell me!" Luchter said exasperatedly, throwing his arms in anger. The young demon pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. His spirit to search Rusalka vanished instantly. However, he knew that he couldn't stop there. He refused to give up just yet.
"Do you reckon we can ask for help from the werewolves?" Luchter asked despite knowing what Jakob would reply.
"And who do you think would help us?"
"I was thinking of that Yonaka, Aki," Luchter looked up to Jakob, "You know, the werewolf we helped earlier?"
"No," Jakob immediately answered, his face stern, "Even if she were willing to, I doubt she would be of any help to us. Not many knows the legend. Moreover," Jakob's expression turned slightly darker, "She is a different species. I cannot take the risk."
At that very moment, Luchter knew he couldn't argue with Jakob further. Jakob, thinking that Luchter would talk back, walked deeper into the woods, noticeably avoiding any arguments. Luchter reluctantly followed after him.
((Also that fight was awesome! I actually kinda like Zero being this OP char, it definitely makes things interesting))
"Congrats Drake, if only I had the energy to celebrate!" Draconia said, slumped in his seat. "That was one heck of a fight, but Drake I think you mean something else if rules weren't in place. You and I both know, even with Alpha Mode, it wouldn't be well...enough. But putting that aside, how shall we celebrate, Drake?" Draconia asked, pulling himself up and placing his hand on Dani's shoulder.
((I think me and Zero had some plans, though correct me if I'm wrong))
As I pulled away from the scrying, I noticed that the ring had been glowing a faint silver. It trickled away, it's aura remaining in the air like a pool of mist for a few seconds before dispersing completely.
Sighing, I began to walk in circles, everything around me instantly blackening. A path formed in front of me, and I began to go straight down it; I imagined all the things I was walking through as I went, but quickly refocused as the path in front of me shimmered and almost threw me off it's side. Last time I had scryed, I had no way of knowing where to go when I started shadowwalking, but this time I held the ring out in front of me. It seemed to direct the way that the path went, as it tugged my hand towards where it wanted to go.
The path began to fork, but the ring was determined as to wear I should head and pulled me down the left path towards a doorway ringed with a faint purple smoke. Stepping through the doorway, I felt slightly giddy as I adjusted to my new surroundings.
Just in front of me I could see Zero, but he seemed to stare through me, unblinkingly as if he hadn't even noticed me arrive. Glancing at the ring, it looked as though it were trying to be innocent, though the fact Zero was ignoring me said otherwise. It also didn't help that the ring had left a faint shimmer around my finger, which rather betrayed the fact it had just used an invisibility spell on me.
Of it's own accord... I muttered to myself in my head.
Well, what do you expect? the other, more masculine voice rang out in my head. It is, after all, an instrument of your will. It merely did what it thought best.
Zero was eating some sort of sandwich. He looked adorable as he munched on it.
I walked up to him, and placed my finger on his nose, my invisibility instantly fading away.
"Boop," I said, grinning at him. "Miss me?"
        "Well looks like I'm finished," Aurelion said as he glided down from the canopy above.
        "Great to hear, Aurelion. You really did a great job at it. For now, I'll leave this be, and we'll just come back here later to finish it off, sound like a plan?" I asked the majestic dragon.
        "Of course, Evelyn. Mind if I set out the energy field since I'm in reality?" Aurelion asked, still floating in the air.
         "Do what you think that will conceal you the best. The weather's really nice today. I'm going to walk around the forest for a little bit," I said, getting up from the patch of grass I was sitting on and slipping my book back into the bag that hung at my side.
     The wind felt great against my face, making my hair dance like a different beings in the wind. My footsteps were carefully set and I gracefully strided through the forest. For one thing, I was becoming more proud of my agility, since I really haven't found anyone who could beat me in tree dashes. I would be more than happy to see someone attempting a tree dash then falling painfully to the ground. Oh, what a sight it would be.
      I scaled the tree, kicking lightly off trunks of opposite trees on a path and landed effortlessly on one of the branches that was sure to hold my light body weight. Back at the Society, I was considered extremely underweight, but now I wonder what are the weight standards are here in the Domain. I shrugged my shoulders and leapt to the next branch silently as my feet met the rough bark. It was all great until I saw Cresela who was leaning forwards.
              I wonder what could she be up to now? If she's still after Zero, I'll just watch and have her sooner or later realize that I'm Zero's partner. It's better if I don't spoil it, since it'll just be more entertaining. However, with this said, I'll do preparations, since if she kisses him, he'll turn away from me, I thought, placing my hand on my hidden spool of threads, making sure I stay hidden within the treetops, for that's where my abilities prevail.
        I went to get a closer look, and it was Zero, being teased by Cresela once again. I sighed sarcastically and slightly rolled my eyes.
              Masking spell please, and let's watch the show, I thought, sending out a set of fifteen invisible strands, since it was a relatively large area to cover.
" Celebrate?" Drake questioned. " How exactly do people celebrate a victory? A party would seem a little extreme for such a small victory. But if it seems alright with everyone, I guess that is okay. We can get together at my place. But first, I must go see my father. I bet he would like to know about me winning the battle. Draconia, since you are the Beta, I'll put you in charge until I get back. Feel free to do whatever you want while I am gone. But....don't touch my sister. You two have just met." He warned.
I found myself windwalking to Helldomain. Oh, no. Not this again. I stopped abruptly in the air. I knew once I entered the territory the currents were going to shift and I wasn't just about to fall again due to changes in wind patterns. I flew back to the mainland and descended to the ground. I might as well take a break from windwalking and decide what to do. I paced on the ground, but the more I debated on venturing into the territory, the more I wanted to go in and see Luchter. I stopped and sighed. Just this once.
I walked through the portal to the demon territory. I pushed off the ground and started windwalking again. I traced the path I took when I left the area with Luchter. Soon enough I was at his home. I hovered for a moment wondering if I should disturb him. All I want to do is thank him. There's nothing wrong with that is there? As long as no other demon catches my scent.
Zero was happily eating, when he felt something press against his nose. A person suddenly unveiled from what appeared to invisibility, it was Cresela. It had been years since I last saw her, how does she still remember me, I last saw her at the springs before I went into the Hyperbolic time chamber...of course, It'd only been a few days in reality. "Remember you. Of course, it's hard to forget someone's first date. And also nearly impossible to forget someone like you" Zero teased, remembering some of the things they did that say. "So what brings you here?" Zero asked, moving to one end of the bench, making room for Cresela.
His eyes widened, and slowly raised both his hands in the air Well there's your typical Overprotective older brother, you'd expect him to trust me more since I'm his beta and member of his pack...I guess not, oh well I suppose it isn't a good idea to doubt him. "Eh...I'll take the rest of the pack back to the woods. I think it'd be a good idea to build a den so I think I'll have us start working on that...It seems as though that Half Blood has gone missing again! Darn, where does she always get off to!" Draconia said, slightly annoyed at the mysterious disappearances of the Half Blood.
"Just joking, just joking!" I said, raising my hands. "Or am I?" I added, raising an eyebrow. "Anyway, eating a roll are we? Tut tut... has it got blood for ketchup in it?" I joked.
He listened as she asked him about his sandwich "Tomato?! Never, I prefer hot 'n' spicy things, wouldn't you agree" Zero said winking. "So, tell me what mischief you've been up to while I was away how many guys have you lured towards you?" Zero questioned teasing her, trying to get her back for back in the springs.
"Hmmph!" I said, putting on a fake pout and leaning back dramatically on the bench, making it look like I was about to fall off. "Not nearly to make up for all the emotional trauma I went through when you said you didn't want to see me again!"
I pretended to wipe a tear away from my eye, and held up my right hand to my forehead in an exasperated manner.
Giggling, I leaned forwards so that my head was almost in my lap. "Hah, I suck at acting, don't I? I knew I should of taken drama!"
I could use my super sense of smell to find her, but I feel as if she has betrayed us or something. She was the first to ask to join the pack. She just wants protection, but doesn't prove herself worthy of staying with us. I should have never accepted her into the pack. Traitor." He growled. " But, enough about her. She isn't much of a concern to me right now. I'll be off now. See you all later." He waved, before traveling through the portal back to the Howling Woods.
      I leaned back and forth, swinging my legs gently, sure not to make a single sound. I could tell my invisibility spell was working, but a lot of my magic was sacraficed to do such a thing. I looked at my perfect nails and made sure that they were all the same shape with absolutely no trace of ridges or scratching.
          It certainly seems like Zero enjoys talking to Cresela more than he does with me. It's either I'm extremely boring, or I just have a really hard time opening up to a guy for the first time, I thought, looking at the set up threads that glittered in the eyes of Aurelion and I.
          Miss Evelyn, you never really opened up to anyone. Not even your own family knows the suffering that you need to endure to keep your heart at bay and the feelings in, Aurelion replied honestly.
         Hearts are wild animals, and that's why my ribcage is there to keep the animal in, and not let it run freely destroying my whole entire life, and the relationships I managed to maintain. If I tell the truth about myself to others, I bet even Lucifer would leave me, and...I thought, my thinking trailing off at the end.
         And you will plunge back into the void, the land where darkness prevails effortlessly. Miss, you always have me, and I know about your every move and every thought. If you decide to give into the darkness one day, even after all these years, no AGES of fighting to stay away, I'll come with you. As your bound familiar, I shall never leave your side for all eternity and under no circumstance will I break this oath, Aurelion replied boldy.
          I'm sure that Zero won't care about if I vanish one day without a trace. He'll just...go along with Cresela and be happy. I'm probably the most depressing vampire ever, I whispered in thought.
        Miss, your life is not centered around Zero, Aurelion remarked.
         Couldn't you be more understanding?! I've never loved anyone else in my life. And when I find my slightest bit of hope, it's taken away and it makes me want to follow the paths that Jax probably walked. Well, of course you don't understand me, you're a all mighty celestial dragon who can get his hands on anything he wants! I'm only a vampire, and I'm not given any power, I thought, my voice hissing in my head.
         You're not just any vampire. You're a Pureblood, and the only one that has the ability to harness my power. Even if you go rampaging through the Forgotton Forest, killing all the Quarter Bloods or Half Bloods, I don't have a choice but to help you fufill your decision, Aurelion replied softly.
          Well, what if I choose to start my rampage with eliminating Cresela? I thought smirking, then placing a hand on the hilt of the blade I usually hold with my left hand.
         Do what you choose, Miss Krymark. You have all the power you want in the universe, for you are the next heir of the Krymark Bloodline. Your bro-, Aurelion started, but suddenly stopped.
         My what? I questioned, narrowing my eyes as Cresela pretended to wipe away a tear.
    Now that's something I would call that could make me sick any time.
         I was getting ready to say broadaxe, but I stopped myself, since you are already a trained dual wielder. My apologies, Miss Evelyn, Aurelion replied with a somewhat nervous laugh.
         Alright, now don't go acting strange on me, I said in an odd tone, watching as Zero stood up from his seat.
    I was preparing to leave for the Town of Mist when my eyes flashed a dangerous vermillion, giving away my precensce. I held my breath for a few seconds, wondering if anyone saw me.
         Cresela couldn't possibly have seen me. My invisibility spell is still present, but only the flashes of my eyes could be seen, according to Aurelion's warnings about the spell. The thing is, only Zero knew that my eyes flash a bright red when I'm collecting rage. Oh shoot shoot shoot, I need to get out of here, I thought, before dashing back into the safety of the dense forest.
Luchter Siegcador - Demon
Luchter stared at his reflection on the lake. After walking for what it felt like hours, he and his uncle decided to rest by a lake and pinpoint where Fogbound Lake could be. Not that they had any idea where it is.
"You know, this wouldn't have happened if you had told me that you have not the slightest idea where the lake is," Luchter said while touching the water, leaving ripples in its wake, "We could've come up with something before we left."
"If you have the energy to complain, I suggest you use it to help me locate the lake," Jakob retorted, writing something on a piece of old paper. Luchter groaned in response and slumped down onto the ground. He closed his eyes and listened to the scribbling sounds Jakob made combined with the sound of the waterfall. He didn't realize that he was getting drowsy the more he listened.
Just before Luchter fell asleep, a peculiar sound woke him from his half-sleeping state. He opened his eyes and sat up. His eyes widened when he saw a quadrupedal silhouette on the other side of the lake approached the waterfall. For once, he thought that it was a werewolf but then he realized that werewolves were bipedals. He squinted his eyes to get a better look but the fog limited his vision. He could only silently watch as the silhouette climbed onto a wide boulder facing the waterfall and ran through the stream of water, instantly vanishing from view. Luchter stared at the waterfall before turning to Jakob who seemed to be unfazed by his surroundings.
"Did you see that?" the young demon asked. Jakob looked up from his paper and gave Luchter a questioning look.
"See what?" Jakob asked back.
"That quadrupedal silhouette across the lake, the one with a peculiar sound."
"A peculiar sound?" Jakob mumbled questioningly. He glanced at the waterfall before turning to Luchter, baffled. "I neither heard nor saw anything."
"Look, it was right there," Luchter stood up and pointed at the other side of the lake where the silhouette were earlier. It was mostly obscured by the fog. "It climbed onto this boulder," Luchter climbed onto said boulder and pointed at the waterfall, "And ran through here." Luchter touched the waterfall, only to quickly retract his battered hand. It's streaming faster than I thought, the demon wondered.
"Are you sure about that?" Jakob asked, approaching the waterfall, "Looking from how fast it is, I am sure we will get battered if we dare run through it."
Well, he's right, Luchter thought, I only touched it for a split second and I could already feel how fast this thing is streaming. But that thing. Even though I don't know whether it's hurt or not, one thing for sure is that...it vanished. There's definitely something behind this waterfall, I'm sure of it. Without thinking further, Luchter ran at full speed and jumped to the waterfall.
Aki (Hikaru) Yonaka ~ Werewolf
Someone slammed into me, unbalancing me and forced me to the ground with a punch to the stomach and a push. It took several seconds for before I regained my sense of balance. A dark haired girl faced me, growling.
"What are you doing here, werewolf?" She spat in my face. "Don't think you can come here unnoticed just because you are in human form."
My eyes widened when I noticed the wings that came out from behind her. Oh welp, I got caught.
"I'm doing absolutely nothing!" I protested. "I just happened to be wandering and I ended up here!" I didn't like lying but the half truth would do.
My assaulter narrowed her eyes at me but gave no response. She seemed to be studying me, trying to figure out who I was. In return, I scanned her. Suddenly she gasped.
"You're a Yonaka, aren't you?" She exclaimed. "You're one of Yuuki's daughters. Soraka or Hikaru?"
"Um, I'm Aki," I responded hesitantly. I had to search my memory to remember the name my mom gave me. "My mom named me Hikaru, but I grew up with the name Aki."
The demon released her grip on me and then helped me up. "I'm Laura Acer," she introduced herself. "You might know me from Yuuki's memories." She gave a little smile before continuing. "Let's go before some more demons arrive and kill you. Come with me to my house."
She held my hand and lifted off, pulling me with her.
"Wait!" I shouted, "I don't know how to like actually fly!"
Laura stopped abruptly. "Oh right." I sighed, glad that I wasn't going to be dragged through the air.
"I suppose you're going to have to windwalk for now. I can't teach flying right now. You know how to windwalk right?"
I nodded yes. "Alright then," she said. "Then let's go."
I had to sprint to prevent myself from tumbling in the air. Laura turned out to be a really fast flyer since we arrived in a few minutes. We landed and she led me inside.
"Have a seat," she offered. "Would you like some tea?"
I wasn't really fond of tea, but I nodded yes out of courtesy. I sat down at the table and panted. The running had taken a lot of energy. I watched Laura disappear into another room, presumably the kitchen, to make the tea.
Luchter Siegcador - Demon
Luchter landed on one leg but ultimately lost his balance and slammed onto the ground. He felt little pain, however, so he quickly got up to his feet. He adjusted his eyes to his new surroundings but it was too dark to see anything.
"Luchter!" A loud splash sound echoed as Jakob came into view, his whole body drenched. A flicker of flame emerged from Jakob's gauntleted hand, illuminating their surroundings which was revealed to be a cave, "Do not ever do anything insane again."
"It wasn't insane for me," Luchter retorted, "I knew what I was doing." He turned his gaze towards a long dark path ahead of him. Closing his eyes, he let his other senses perceived the environment.
"Do you sense anything?" he heard Jakob asked.
"Not quite yet," Luchter muttered, "It's still too vague." Suddenly, he heard a peculiar voice inside his head, voices in fact. They spoke in diverse languages that Luchter reckoned were ancient languages. As the voices spoke, a veil of light emerged in front of him. It transformed into the quadrupedal silhouette Luchter saw earlier. It was covered in light but its form was more decipherable. Its legs were elegantly shaped like blades and it prominently had a set of antlers. The creature, still bathed in light, seemingly glanced at Luchter before running off deeper into the cave.
"That thing," Luchter muttered. He opened his eyes and faced Jakob, "That silhouette I saw earlier, it appeared in my vision."
"What does it look like?" Jakob enquired.
"I couldn't see it clearly but it looks like... a stag?" Luchter said, shrugging a little, "It was bathed in light so it was mostly obscured."
"Then, we might just have hope. Legend said that Rusalka was known as 'The Deer amongst the Wolves'. She must be guiding you to her chamber," Jakob turned to the dark path before them, "I cannot sense her presence, but you can. Lead us the way, Luchter."
"I'll try," Luchter said, heading deeper into the cave.
"And hey," I added, as Zero stood up, "don't you dare ditch me again. That'll make for the third time."
Drake Kendrick ~ Alpha Werewolf
   " So, my son battled that vampire again, and won?! Marvelous. Did you kill him? If so, I've should have been there. Has been a while since I watched someone be killed. This place is getting boring, anyways." Jack said, drinking from a cup of blood. He was in human form this time, twitching every second. It was normal for him, being completely insane and all. But he still looked creepy.
   " No, deaths were not allowed, sadly. I'd have to agree with you, this place needs more destruction." Drake replied. " So, I met this girl a few days ago. She is a well-trained knife weilder and a werewolf. When I tole her my name, she....gave me a look. She says she is my sister, Danielle. How come you never told me anything about her? She seems totally nice."
   Jack dropped his cup, the contents spilling all over the floor. " She's a disgrace to the Kendrick bloodline, Drake. She chose to be more like her mother and take after her. I used to train her to be the best knife weilder, until I discovered her being like her mother. I banished her from this cave. She used to stay in a room further down the cave. I dislike her greatly, and I wish she were dead. I don't care if she is my daughter." He explained with a clutched fist. " Kill her when she least expects it.
   " What, why? She respects me and is friendly. It's not like she has done anything bad."
   " Oh, that's what she wants you to believe, but it's all a lie. She has done something bad, in the past anyway. You used to have an uncle, who was similar to me. One night, he decided to test her to see if Insanity was strong in her. But of course, it isn't. He wanted her to be evil, but she refused. She couldn't take such little words he said to her. So, she used her dominant ability in her that she inherited from her mother, an ability called....Summoner. It allows her to summon the souls of dead werewolves to follow her every command. Don't be fooled, it's a strong power. She called the soul of Saber, a powerful werewolf from another bloodline. She commanded him to kill your uncle, and so he did. Your uncle was stabbed through the heart in a flash. She then realized what she did was wrong and that's when I banished her from the cave. I've never seen her since. That was about a year ago." Jack grabbed Drake by the shoulder, inflicting some pain on him that made him flench. The older werewolf's eye twitched several times, and his pupils grew smaller. " Don't. Trust. Her."
   " Just because of that one mistake. I think she deserves a second chance. She is getting along well with the pack, especially with this one that I made the Beta because he's a force to be reconded with. He's quite a powerful werewolf. Everyone deserves a second chance. Well, sometimes."
   " NOBODY DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE!" Jack shouted, pushing his son away. He soon found himself slowly growing claws, sharp teeth, and large muscles. His eyes turned completely red and his pupils turned to slits. " I suggest you leave now before I attack. I can't stay human much longer. Lock the gate outisde the cave; it'll keep me from escaping. Leave....NOW!" He pushed his son back towards the exit.
   Fearful, Drake ran out of the cave as fast as he could, making sure to lock the gate tightly at the end. With the locked gate, Jack couldn't escape and harm the werewolves outside. He took a deep breath. Wow, I was not expecting that from him. But I shouldn't do what he said and kill Dani. I should learn more about her first.
Aki (Hikaru) Yonaka ~ Werewolf
Laura came back into the room and set down a cup of tea in front of me and then sat down across from. I sipped the tea and immediately relaxed. The warm, sweetish drink soothed me. After I put down the cup, Laura spoke up.
"I'm sorry I'm intruding on your personal information, but can you tell me why you were here?" She asked. "It's not a normal occurence for werewolves to come to Helldomain."
I sat in silence. I wasn't about to give in and confess the truth. When I didn't answer, she queried. "Did you come here looking for me to train you?"
"Er, yeah," I said, relieved to use that as an excuse. "I want to learn more about Air Manipulation."
Laura leaned back in her chair and sighed, "I know your mom came here to train with me in secret, but those days are over. Her incident increased tensions in between the species here. You're going to be caught and killed on sight."
She looked away for a moment before continuing, "But I can't just send you away since you managed to get quite far into the territory without being spotted. The least I can do is teach you how to fly. It's going to take some practice for you to be able to use the ability well."
Laura stood up and transformed into demon form. "If you want this to work out, you got to follow my instructions and do exactly as I say. Got it?"
I nodded, "Got it."
"I'll try my best not to" Zero replied to Cresela. He eyes then suddenly turned to the glowing red in the trees. To glowing red eyes beaming at himself and Cresela. They were of a vibrant red, Zero was quickly able to identify them Those look just like the ones I saw of Skylar back at the springs when she was mad...She's mad now, at Cresela "Argh!" Zero growled barring his teeth at the trees "...Cresela your not safe here, tell me, where'd you like to go. You cant stay here!" Zero warned wrapping his right arm around Cresela as he pulled her close to him "Hurry! I don't know when she'll attack you and of what magnitude!" Zero said looking at Cresela and then turned to face the trees.
Aki (Hikaru) Yonaka ~ Werewolf
I got up and followed Laura outside. The demon's wings seemed to stretch out in the sunlight. She took off without a word. I followed her, pushing off and jumping on invisible steps of air. Laura waited for me high above the ground. When I reached her, I looked down at the land below.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
She snorted in reply. "Yuuki got to this height in her first try, so why can't you train at this height? But then again, you might fall."
Thanks for the reassurance, I thought sarcastically.
"Anyways, can we start?" I cleared my head of possible injuries.
"Alright then," she did a flip before giving out directions. "First off, can you hover, not stand. Get used to the feeling of having no ground under you."
I felt fear start to flutter in my stomach. "Um, how do I do that?"
"Oh God, this'll be quite some training." She said quietly. "Ok, let's try it a different way. I'll hold you and assuming you'll trust me, you get the air to stop holding you up. Put your weight on me instead."
Laura flew up to me and held me up, her hands firmly gripping me around my ribs. I slowly let go of the air beneath me and soon enough I was held up by the demon only. "So now what?" I asked.
"You're going to need to consentrate for this," She responded. "I know this may sound hard but you'll be able to do it. Concentrate on removing your weight. It's kind of like floating in water. Let your weight leave your body and be one with the air."
I wasn't sure what I meant but I tried anyways. Ok, be one with the air. Let go of your weight. I tried to create a sesnsation of being lightweight, but all I got was a minor headache of concentrating too hard.
"It's not working," I sighed.
"Aki!" Laura sounded exasperated. "Concentrate on it! Breathe in, breathe out! No other thought except for letting go of your weight to the air! How hard is it to hover?!"
I flinched by the sudden harshness. I could see Laura wasn't happy about snapping at me.
"Aki, close your eyes and think this through. No other thoughts than hovering." She tried again.
I obeyed her instructions and closed my eyes. "Now clear out your head," She continued. "Think of it this way. When you breathe in, you're gaining weight- like a balloon when children blow into it. Then when you release your breath, you're releasing your weight like a balloon releasing its air. Just let it all come out with your breathing. Concentrate on releasing your weight with your breath."
It took several attempts for me to fully remove my weight and start hovering with Laura's support. I smiled at her, "So what's the next step?"
She gave a mischevious look, "I'm going to release my grip on you. We'll see if you can actually hover. Don't worry, I'll catch you if you can't hover just yet."
I felt fear return. Could I do it? "Ok," I responded.
She let go and I tensed my body. I dropped a bit, but I stopped almost immediately. The air had caught me, not like a platform for me to stand, but like gravity is keeping me suspended.
"Whoa!" I exclaimed. "This is so cool!"
I tried turning around. To my amazement, I was able to turn with having to move a muscle. Just a slight lean towards the right let me turn right. I tried leaning forward, but instead of moving forward, I ended up upside down. I gave goofy smile to Laura who was upside down from my view.
She rolled her eyes and pulled me back upright. "Ok, next step, moving forward. Obviously, you aren't supposed to lean forward that much to fly forward. Here's when your magical air platforms come in handy."
She flew to my side and demonstrated the next step.
"Lean forward a bit. A little less than last time," she said. "Then bring your legs back like this and push off the air."
She brought her legs up to her chest and then kicked backwards. I copied her movements and shot forward.
"That's great! Now, keep that momentum!" She called out as she caught up. I spread out my arms and immitated a demon, flapping my arms up and down. I slowed to a stop after trying out the new skill.
"Wow, that was tiring." I said.
"Yeah, I guess it is," She remarked. "But it's twice as tiring to teach someone as troublesome as you." Her eyes sparkled with humor as she said that. I gave a playful shove and formed a platform to sit on.
"I suppose you should get home now," she said. The sun was setting now and soon enough it would be too dark to travel home.
"Yeah," I agreed. "It was great learning from you. Thank you so much." I stood back up and gave her a hug. "I'll get going now. See you around." I waved her good-bye and flew away.
"Umm... alright," I said, glancing towards the trees where Zero was staring. I wasn't entirely sure who he meant by 'she', but I felt like I could make a fairly accurate guess. And if it was who I thought, I'd have to make sure we'd both go somewhere she couldn't follow.
A sudden sense of urgency made me decide instantly where I wanted to go.
"Why don't we go to mine?" I suggested to Zero. "None of my family ever goes there apart from my mum, and I'm sure she won't mind. Not like any of the others would either, though."
I reached forward and touched his arm slightly. "If you do that teleporting thing again, I'll use my magic to guide you to the place."
"Well," I said, thinking. "It's a bit hard to explain; I swear that it moves. But basically, the entrance is just a door with my name written on it. If we wander a bit we might find it, but we'd probably find some other demons as well."
I paused, thinking to myself.
"It's generally in a red place... though I doubt that's very helpful, considering where we are at the moment!" I explained, nudging Zero playfully.
          "That Zero doesn't know how to be loyal," I muttered under my breath when I reached a safe distance from the benches I was at earlier.
     I was back at the site of my lookout tower, the wood still clean, but the project still unfinished. I looked back and narrowed my eyes, sure that Cresela better know who's she's dealing with. In my mind, I was sure that her magic was nothing in comparison to mine, for Dark Magic prevails over just shadows. I have space on my side, for I can use Celestial Magic. If that's not enough, I have my dual wielding, a skill that's only special to me.
          Evelyn, you don't belong with Zero. He does not deserve such a kind girl like you, for I know that he doesn't have the dedication to push through your tough outer shell to get to who you really are, a beautiful fun loving girl who cares for others more than herself. You belong at Lucifer's side, Aurelion's words rang in my head.
         Oh cr-ap, I haven't contacted Lucifer in forever, but I still have his ribbon, and it reminds me of him whenever it's tied around my neck. Don't worry Aurelion, maybe I'll just talk to Rosalyn if I would suit to be her brother's life long partner, I replied with a sigh.
          You really should. Finding a life long partner that is actually loyal is important and extremely difficult. If I relaly had to be honest, it's especially difficult for you since you're very distrustful of others. Perhaps that was due to your past, I'm assuming? Aurelion questioned, summoning himself.
           "Hey, you really shouldn't summon here. Others might see you," I said, looking up at him.
          "It's alright. Only you can see me in my present condition," Aurelion replied, chuckling.
Luchter Siegcador - Demon
Luchter and Jakob weaved their way deeper into the cave, the younger demon leading them by sensing Rusalka's energy trail. As they roved further, the cave showed more of its beauty. Crystal flowers were growing on the cave walls, dimly illuminating their surroundings with their faint glow. Tiny balls of light flew around them as though they were fireflies.
"This place is starting to feel like an enchanted forest, don't you think?" Luchter remarked, looking around the cave in amazement.
"I suppose," Jakob said in agreement, "We must be in the right path."
"And close," Luchter added, "We're almost there." The two demons walked further, some turns here and there until Luchter stopped in front of a cave wall. The young demon looked around in confusion before turning to Jakob.
"It ends here," he said incredulously, turning back to the wall before him, "But this can't be the end, there has to be more!"
"I suspect she is somewhere beyond this wall," Jakob said, rubbing his chin.
"Then don't you think her trail would still follow her? Unless somehow I can't sense the rest." Suddenly, a loud rumbling echoed through the cave. Luchter instinctively grabbed the hilt of his sword - which was the same sword he used in training earlier - and turned towards where the sound hailed. He was about to drew his sword when suddenly something jerked him and forced him to run.
"Jakob?" Luchter exclaimed in surprise, "What are you--"
"It's a torrent. Run!" Luchter widened his eyes and quickly followed his uncle. As they ran, they could hear the torrent nearing them.
"Jakob, we're not going to make it. It's faster than us!" Luchter shouted.
"Just run as fast as you can. We must find a higher place. I would normally fly in demon form in this situation but my wings are too broad." As Luchter predicted, however, the torrent outran them. Soon, the two were devoured by the surge. Luchter desperately fought his way to stay afloat, but the water kept smacking him downwards. Breathless, he finally let the current took him away. He heard Jakob shouting for him before he passed out.
