((Got permission from Zero to say this stuff regarding the old and new demon king))

Summer’s mother nodded as she listened to Karis’s suggestion. “Yeah, it’s safer that way.”

Karis smiled once everyone agreed "Then it's settled" She said cheerfully.

“Hm? Oh yeah,” the pyrokinetic replied to Karis' previous question, fixing her hair. “What’s the Old Satan faction?”

Karis frowned at the mention of that name, sighing she finally replied. "The Old Satan faction were a cult who once governed over Helldomain many years back, under the rule of the previous Demon King Beelzebub. They were unfair and cruel in their rule, preying on the weak, the punishment for every crime was torture followed by a public death, the group seemed to have this obsession with only allowing the strong to survive. They would host a regular set of matches, Rating Games they called them. Killing was permitted in them, and even if u did survive you were killed off merely for loosing. It wasn't until a few years back they all disappeared, a new king came along" Karis explained. Resting her hand on her chin, Karis looked down at the ground as she contemplated. "...However, recently Helldomain lost contact with our new king. The same time the disappearances began occurring, I wonder, could the Old Satan faction be making it's return and reclaim Helldomain. If that's the case, we're all in grave danger" Karis said, looking up at Arianne as she spoke her final sentence knowing that she would understand the potential threat. Soon after her explanation, Karis' expression became one of sadness. My stupid mother, she's part of that extremist faction...she figured it was a good idea to disown me to join them, leaving me for dead, leaving me to fend for myself! Who does she think she is! She has no right to even be called mother, no mother would abandon their child like that!, Karis clenched her fist tightly as the horrors of her mother began to resurface in her mind.

Karis frowned at the question, though ultimately replying. “The Old Satan faction were a cult who once governed over Helldomain many years back, under the rule of the previous Demon King Beelzebub. Summer noticed Karis’s expression turn into one of sorrow. She seemed to be remembering something awful, clenching her fist in silence. The blonde could only try and comfort her friend after hearing something so awful. She took the succubus’s hand and held them up between hers. She felt rather calmed when doing so and spoke up.

“We’re not going to suffer that fate,” she said, shaking her head. “We’re going to survive, heck fight them off if we have to. But, I won’t let them do that. It’s too cruel...”

A slight smile grew on Karis's face as her only friend attempted to comfort her. "Well then, I suppose we should keep on going. There are only a few members who are fighting for the same cause as our little 'resistance', we should probably find as many as we can. There's strength in numbers" Karis advised. The Succubus noticed that ever since she'd been hanging around with Summer her personality began to change, she was becoming what more of what society would call 'sensible', she wasn't sure why she began changing but it was clear Summer's presence had some impact. Karis then prepared to make a suggestion, holding Summer's interlocking hands more tightly giving her comfort as she spoke. "I think we should check out the 13th ward, there seem to be countless explosions going off in that direction and they don't seem to be stopping. I'm sure, with all of us put together, whatever threat may reside there if we work together we may be able to take the enemy".

Karis smiled at Summer’s words. Speaking up, she suggested, “Well then, I suppose we should keep on going. There are only a few members who are fighting for the same cause as our little 'resistance', we should probably find as many as we can. There's strength in numbers.”

Karis tightened her hold of their interlocking hands. “I think we should check out the 13th ward, there seem to be countless explosions going off in that direction and they don't seem to be stopping. I'm sure, with all of us put together, whatever threat may reside there if we work together we may be able to take the enemy.”

The pyrokinetic had no objection, nodding to the plan. She looked up to her mother, who was staring off in the direction of the ward mentioned. There seemed to be something worrying her, though she soon turned towards the two friends and smiled away what Summer for a split second thought was worry.

“Well, I’m all charged up on mana, so I’m ready to go,” she replied.

Looking over at Summer’s siblings, the platinum blonde called for their attention. “Alex, Seraphina, we’re going to ward 13. Phina, stay out of battle. I’ll stay in contact. Call me if something goes wrong.”

“Ok,” Summer’s younger sister replied, going over to her mother.

Alex nodded, transforming into his demon form. His flame like wings lifted him into the air and he vanished.

Summer looked over at her friend. “Let’s go.”

Karis nodded "I'll meet you at the entrance to the 13th ward", spreading her wings and lifting into the air. She flew up towards a moderately high altitude. Looking all around, all she could see was terror, destruction, havoc, suffering, all mixed together like a cocktail. Folding her wings inwards slightly, Karis dived down, gaining momentum as she descended. It didn't take the Succubus long to reach the 13th ward. There was a huge arched gate inbetween a thick brick wall which served as the entrance to the 13th ward. Karis elegantly landed on the top of the wall and looked down. She scanned over the streets, many of which were now rubble, like a hawk. "...It's-It's quiet, a bit too quiet...Something is off" Karis muttered to herself, narrowing her eyes. She wanted to proceed further to investigate, however refrained from doing so since it would be more wise to wait for back-up. Her little 'party' consisting of the Rainlight bloodline would soon be here. Karis wondered where Summer's brother disappeared off to, he spread his wings and then vanished. Could he already be here? Perhaps, but she couldn't be certain, so it was still advisable to wait.

Karis nodded "I'll meet you at the entrance to the 13th ward", spreading her wings and lifting into the air.
Summer wathced her fly towards a moderately high altitude and off into the distance.
"Summer, darling, can you fly yet?" Arianne asked, turning the pyrokinetic's attention to her mother.
She shook her head. "No. The last time I've tried using my wings, I found them awfully weak. And the other times we've traveled by air, Karis carried me."
"I see," Arianne said.
She muttered some strange words and a piece of wood appeared in her hand in a puff of sparkles. The demon lifted it to her mouth and blew, causing a shrill sound just as Summer realized it was a whistle.
Almost immediately, a pair of stallions came trotting over, neighing at their arrival. They glimmered with the same sparkles as the whistle had, telling Summer that they were summoned by magic.
"Just hop on and hold on," Arianne instructed as she got onto one of the horses, lifting Seraphina on in front of her.
Summer followed in suit, getting onto the other stallion and taking hold of the mane, unsure what to expect.
"I've never-"
She was cut off by her mother who instructed the steeds. "Ward 13."
"Gah!" She yelped as the stallion took off, galloping through the ruins. Summer held on tightly, clutching the horse by its neck with her arms. She closed her eyes, focusing on not falling and getting left behind.
It wasn't long before the steeds came to a stop. There, in front of her, was a huge arched gate in between a thick brick wall which served as the entrance to the ward. Summer watched from her steed as Arianne got off and pushed the gate open enough for the horses to enter. Summer's stallion entered first in a walk. Seraphina's horse followed with Arianne walking in on foot.
When they stopped within, she scanned the area. Rubble and debris was everywhere and the air was eerily quiet. Arianne remained composed, though she did raise an eyebrow.
The blonde could guess what her mother was thinking. After hearing and seeing so many explosions coming from the ward from afar, it couldn't be this quiet. It was like whoever was causing the destruction was expecting them.
"Karis?" The pyrokinetic was first to speak up. If anything, she wanted to be with her friend before they ventured further.

Luchter Siegcador - Demon

Luchter and Rusalka aimlessly trudged through Helldomain which looked like the aftermath of a warfare. The now-blonde demon frowned everytime he saw splatters of blood and broken weapons. To him, Helldomain was eerie enough without those additions.

"So, you're saying the old king wishes to reclaim Helldomain by force?" Luchter asked after Rusalka explained him the rebel demons.

"Apparently so. Those who refuse to join his cause will either be eradicated or corrupted." Rusalka heaved a sigh and turned to Luchter, sadness adorning her usually composed visage, "I apologize for pressing you to take Morgoth's life. I should have known his life would not end just like that. Now, not only I have worsened the disaster that is threatening Helldomain, I have also brought calamity to the future Spirit Flame wielder as well."

"Don't blame yourself, Rusalka. You were doing what you thought was best," Luchter said, attempting to comfort the spirit. But Rusalka didn't answer, she simply kept walking ahead of Luchter. The two remained silent for the journey until Luchter recognized the area they were in.

"Say, Rusalka. Do you mind if I visit my family for a little bit?" Luchter asked, halting the spirit in her steps.

"I suppose you should visit them from time to time," she said after contemplating the request, "But what will you say to them about your new appearance? Do you think they will believe you?"

"They both know how I sound like and Jakob knows you. It will be fine," Luchter said casually as he walked towards his home, "C'mon, let's go."

Jakob panted heavily as he clutched his injured left arm. Behind him was Elise, whose condition was no far better than him, exerting all her power to heal Jakob through her healing staff, not that it helped much. The silver-haired demon was too wounded to recover immediately.

The mansion was a mess. The place was lit in fire, glass shards scattered everywhere, dead bodies and blood embellished the floor. It was a miracle that the two had survived the rebel demons’ assault so far. There were too many of them for the two to handle alone, especially given that the rebels brought one of their finest commanders. Normally, Jakob would be able to subdue their commanders but having been wounded heavily from fighting the other rebels prior greatly attenuate his combat prowess.

"Hahahah! To think you were a gallant demon back then. You're no more than cuts and bruises now, dear old Jakob. No more than a useless abomination!" a bulky demon, the commander, taunted as he approached Jakob, a huge axe in his hand. Jakob desperately attempted to transform but unfortunately, he was too weak to assume it.

"Elise," the silver-haired demon called his niece, eyes focused on his enemy, "I need you to get out of here, fast. Leave Helldomain, this place has become too dangerous for a young demon like you."

Elise stared at her uncle's back incredulously. "Uncle, you can't just expect me to leave you like this. You can't fight him in your current state!" she reasoned.

"Do as I say, young lady. Do not make me repeat myself," Jakob snapped harshly, nearly drawing a yelp from Elise. The blonde girl froze in her place, refusing to do so but she ultimately left her uncle's side in reluctance, running towards a broken window nearby. She jumped off while raising her staff, summoning a light pillow of wind that eased her landing before running as fast as she could, away from her home and to wherever her feet would take her. Soon, the young demon rounded a hill near the mansion, nearly bumping into someone on the way.

"Ah," Elise looked up at the unfamiliar figure in the eye. Instinctively, she raised her hand and summoned a circle of fire that separated her from said person.

"Elise, calm down! It's me, Luchter." The blonde demon girl slowly loosen her guard upon hearing the familiar voice, dissipating the flame as she did so. When the flames cleared, she looked at the figure - two figures - in front of her in bewilderment. She didn't recognize the two of them at all yet the blonde man before her sounded awfully as well as her older brother.

"Really? Because I find it difficult to believe," Elise said coldly, glaring at the two.

"Elise, please-"

"If you really are my brother, show me your proof!" the young girl demanded.

I must say your sister impresses me, Rusalka commented, For someone who looks rather helpless, she sure is a feisty one.

I'm not sure whether to be offended or flattered, Luchter mentally replied as he summoned a lance from thin air. It was an intricate lance, its blade seemingly made of crystal. Its handle was inscribed in elaborate patterns. Below the blade, an omega-shaped gold was attached to it, accompanied with arrow-shaped steels jutting out of it.

"Elise, remember this? You were the one who helped me retrieve it a while back," Luchter said, showing the lance to his sister, "If you wish for another proof, our maternal uncle is Jakob Floga, our parents are away to ensure the welfare of Helldomain, I once brought an injured girl to our home, you were left with Aunt Krasiva while Jakob and I seek the Guardians of the Spirit Flame,-”

“Alright, alright. That’s enough,” Elise cut in, her eyes sparkling with astonishment and bemusement, “I...I’m not sure why but I have a feeling that you’re telling the truth, even before I demanded you to show me evidences. If my hunch turns out to be true,” the demon took a deep breath, “Luchter, you have to help Uncle Jakob! He’s trapped inside our mansion, badly injured and if you don’t hurry, he will... I don’t even want to imagine!”

“Elise, what has happened?” Luchter carefully asked, trying not to let the sudden news plunge him into a state of panic. Seeing his sister covered in bruises was already painful enough.

“There’s no time to explain. We need to hurry, now!” Elise turned around and stormed off to their burning residence, not even sparing a glance to see whether her brother followed her or not. Instinctively, Luchter sprinted after her. He ran as quick as he could, giving no mercy to his feet.

Jakob, hold on just a bit longer.

Jakob watched his niece escaped the burning he.ll his sister’s dwelling had turned into. He let out a little smile, knowing that she was safe. He turned to the gigantic demon before him, making his way agonizingly slowly towards the injured demon. Jakob prepared his daggers as his last resort of defense.

“Still fighting back? How daring of you, Jakob. We both know that this fight is already over,” the demon roared in mock laughter.

Jakob coughed out some blood he had been holding. “As long as I’m breathing, it’s not over.” Deep inside his heart, however, Jakob knew the demon was right. The moment he saw the rebel demons surrounded the mansion, he knew it was the end. He knew from the start that fighting them was futile, he knew that his life would end here.

“We’ll see about that,” the colossal demon grinned triumphantly as he raised his immense axe, ready to cut Jakob into half. The silver-haired demon crossed his arms above his head in vain attempt to protect himself. He couldn’t do anything else. It was over.

“Not so fast!”

Suddenly, an ornate lance pierced through the commander’s chest, eliciting an agonized scream from him, even louder when the weapon was forcefully pulled away. Jakob looked up in shock, ignoring the demon’s blood that soaked his tattered clothes and splattered his face. The monstrous demon turned to his assaulter, swinging his axe as soon as his eyes landed on them. The figure swiftly parried his blow and quickly used the momentum to set him on fire. The fire soon amplified into a vortex, incinerating the demon into nothing but ash.

“Luchter,” Jakob muttered weakly, recognizing the voice before coughing violently. The silver-haired demon felt himself fall, only to be caught by someone.

“Jakob, everything is going to be alright. You’re safe now,” he heard the figure said in anguish. He forced his eyes open and through his hazy vision, he could make out a young man with blonde man and red attire, someone he was sure had never met before. For a moment, he could see Luchter in the blonde demon.

“Luchter, is that...you?” he muttered before his consciousness slipped away.

"Karis?" The pyrokinetic was first to speak up. If anything, she wanted to be with her friend before they ventured further.

"I'm right here" Karis replied, leaping down. "So you can feel it to...something's off, right?" Karis commented as she saw the concern in Arianne's eyes. "After all the explosions, for it to suddenly stop and leave nothing but silence, it's clear we were being lured here on purpose. Perhaps we're in greater danger than I'd expected". Karis looked around to see blood stains paint the streets a deep red. "Perhaps we should begin looking for whatever caused this, shout for help if needed" Karis suggested. She noticed a significantly large pool of blood leaking from an alley, but decided not to go check it out alone just yet. The Succubus silently crept around the small town. It appeared to be deserted. However, the Succubus's ears heard the clinging sound of a plate hitting the floor. Immediately she rushed over to the source of the sound, it was coming from inside a house. She slowly peered through the window. To her horror she saw a middle-aged women sat terrified against the wall with who looked to be her daughter. The mother was covering the child's mouth as well as her own, there's eyes widened at the sight of Karis. The two residents began breathing rapidly, heavily as their chests began to rise and fall. From the corner of her eye the white haired demon caught a glimpse of a male demon laying lifelessly on the floor. Immediately she stopped peering through the window and leaned against the wall, gulping as she did so. Her eyes widened in horror after what she'd witnessed. Whoever was responsible for this ward's destruction is merely messing around, they're playing around with the demons, slowly killing them off and making them suffer before their impending demise. "How monstrous!" Karis said to herself. She looked back at the direction she came from, noticing the pool of blood she'd noticed before seemed to have spread even more. Raising an eyebrow, she slowly crept towards it. Once she arrived, she prepared to attack if it was necessary. A pink sigil formed over her left and right palms. On the count of three, 3...2...1! Karis jumped infront of the alley, directing her sigil towards whatever was there. To her surprise, it seemed like an innocent, teenage, male demon with scruffy blonde hair. "Well you certainly seem harmless enough" The Succubus remarked as she turned off the sigils. Upon a closer inspection she noticed, she'd seen the demon before. "You!?" Karis said in surprise, it was Cosme. He seemed pretty beat up.

“I'm right here,” Karis replied, leaping down.

Summer smiled at the presence of her friend.

“So you can feel it to...something's off, right?” Karis commented. “After all the explosions, for it to suddenly stop and leave nothing but silence, it's clear we were being lured here on purpose. Perhaps we're in greater danger than I'd expected.”

The silver haired looked around as did Summer. To her dismay, the streets ran with blood and debris. Body parts were also torn and discarded, making the situation look gruesome. Perhaps they were in greater danger than expected. But now that they were here, they couldn’t back down.

“Yes, not only that,” Arianne added. “I can’t sense any extreme presence that could’ve caused this destruction. Whoever it is, he or she is covering their presence and know we’re here.”

“Perhaps we should begin looking for whatever caused this, shout for help if needed.” Karis suggested.

Arianne nodded. “ Alex still hasn’t seen anyone who could’ve caused this destruction yet, as he had went ahead to search. We should search as well. I’ll set up telepathy between us so we don’t need to shout to get each other’s attention.”

Summer nodded. As her mother casted some spell, Karis went off. And so did she, wanting to get as much done as possible. It wasn’t long into the search, Summer heard Karis shout “You?!” from a neighboring alley.

“Karis, did you find the person behind this?” She asked through telepathy.

“Karis, did you find the person behind this?” She asked through telepathy.

"Huh, Summer? How are you speaking to me...Never mind. No, I don't think he could be the one behind his, after all he dropped earlier after one measly kiss. It's that perv that you met when u first got into Helldomain" Karis explained. "...Though his condition is not the greatest, perhaps he knows something, we should also call your mother over and heal the guy." Karis said through her mind assuming she'd be able to hear through telepathy just as she spoke to her earlier. The Succubus crouched down slightly, pointed her finger towards Cosme, extending her razor sharp long nails she began gently poking the wounded demon before questioning him, "Hey, Who did this to you?" Karis asked with seemingly no emotion.

“I’ll be on my way,” Arianne spoke up. “By the way, it’s a five way communication magic. All five of us- Summer, you, Alex, Seraphina, and I- can hear each other and speak to each other as if we’re next to each other.”
Summer, being in a neighboring road, found her way to Karis with little problem just as the wounded demon spat out the answer with some blood, “I don’t know...but there was a black figure with blue flames.”

“I don’t know...but there was a black figure with blue flames.” Cosme answered.

"Black figure with blue flames?...If I recall correctly..." Karis said, pausing while in deep concentration, trying to recall the few facts she knew. "...Wasn't there a demon a while back who could manipulate blue flames, he began randomly killing other demons before his disappearance. To be honest, blue flames are insanely lethal. They say It's the second deadliest flame in existence though some say the number one flame is nothing but a myth (Spirit Flame if u were wondering). I've only ever seen the blue flame once, and that when Su-..." Karis said, suddenly pausing when she realized she'd seen Summer use the blue flame. The blue flame was supposedly a distinct technique, could it be? Could the person behind these attacks be linked to Summer? I refuse to believe it, but even so, I suppose I'm no better... Karis wondered, remember how she to had relations to this rebel faction. The Succubus returned her attention back to the wounded demon, narrowing her eyes "...So if you were attacked by a Blue flame wielder? How in Helldomain did you survive, When everyone else here has been decimated?" Karis questioned angrily as she looked over at all the bodies in ghetto, clenching her fists, though she couldn't be too mad since from the looks of things even someone like him tried to help fight for a Nobel cause.

Karis recalled of a demon with an insanely dangerous flame who killed others before disappearing a while back.
“...So if you were attacked by a Blue flame wielder? How in Helldomain did you survive, When everyone else here has been decimated?” Karis questioned angrily as she looked over at all the bodies in ghetto, clenching her fists.
Cosme flinched. “Guess you haven't seen my demon form yet.” He chuckled. “But either way, I was saved by falling bricks.”
His eyes flickered over to Summer, who had been standing by to listen, and a smile formed on his face. “Hey Beautif-”
He didn't get to finish his greeting. Instead his remark ended with a garble of language as he was kicked in the head by an invisible force.
A shadow of a figure appeared and Alex took form there. “Nothing perverted better come out of that mouth of yours.”
He bent down to pick the already wrecked up demon up by the collar of his shirt. “Got it?”
“Heard you loud and clear,” Cosme managed to say.
Alex sighed and let go and looked down the alley. Walking in were Arianne with Seraphina. The platinum blonde broke into a run and arrived at Cosme’s side. She immediately casted a healing spell and helped the demon up. “Can you walk?”
He nodded, shifting weight between his two legs.
“Ok, we need to stay together starting now. Whoever caused this damage is far more powerful than I expected.” Arianne announced, looking around the group. “We need to stop him as soon as possible.”
Her expression was grim and despite how young she usually looked, creases on her forehead made her seem older and showed worry. There was something she was hiding.

Karis raised an eyebrow and replied sarcastically in disbelief "Really?"

His eyes flickered over to Summer, who had been standing by to listen, and a smile formed on his face. “Hey Beautif-”

“Ok, we need to stay together starting now. Whoever caused this damage is far more powerful than I expected.” Arianne announced, looking around the group. “We need to stop him as soon as possible.”
Karis could sense that there was something amiss about Arianne's sudden burst of concern. Her once youthful face aged slightly as creases on her forehead appeared, she seemed stressed.
"Miss Arianne, is everything alright?" Karis asked, placing a hand on Arianne's shoulder as she spoke.

Summer listened to the conversation go on. Cosme revealed that he was saved by some bricks and Alex warned him against anything perverted.
Karis commented jokingly, “Hmph! A typical big brother eh? Always looking out for their younger sister.”
“Sisters,” Alex replied when Arianne arrived and announced that they were to stick together.
Karis seemed to notice something wrong.
“Miss Arianne, is everything alright?” She asked, placing a hand on Arianne's shoulder as she spoke.
“I’m afraid the destruction may have been created by someone I do know,” Arianne shook her head. “Things may be harder if my hunches are correct...though I have no doubt it is him.”
She turned towards Summer. “I know I’ve kept this from you, but your father may be here. The reason why I held off of talking about your father is because I didn't think this would happen. Talk about one in a thousand chances...”
She seemed to grumble the last part, but snapped back into character soon after. “Your father had disappeared years back just like how other powerful demons had vanished.”
Arianne glanced at Karis, checking to see if the succubus knew where she was heading. “My bet is that the Satan faction was at least somewhat behind the disappearances if not completely. If anything, he may be returning here, possibly in the wrong state of mind.
“If he does appear, if he’s the one who who caused this destruction,” Summer’s mother clenched a fist. “Then we have to stop him at any cost. As a blue fire wielder’s significant other, it is my job to keep him in check. I failed the first time. I won’t let things go wrong this time.”
There was a new fierceness to Arianne’s eyes. They were sharp and piercing like a hawk’s. Summer could never had thought her mother could look this way. Since they first reunited in the Domain, Arianne was kind and warmhearted. To see her like this was a surprise.
She kept her gaze as she continued. “And I’ll admit: To prevent a disaster like what happened, I sealed away the blue fire power in all three of you.”
She briefly glanced at her three children. “I planned to reveal this much later, but circumstances call for this precaution. The seal weakened faster than expected. Please don’t push yourself past your point of breaking. It’ll only break the seal even faster. If it does break, there’s no telling what would happen. So I beg of you, don’t push yourself beyond what you can do.”
Sighing, she turned towards the exit and led the way out, waving her hand for them to follow. Summer was still trying to comprehend what her mother had just said, but the platinum blonde gave no time for thinking. She was already on to battle plans.
“We’ll have to improvise. Alex, you’ll have to draw aggro, is that fine?” She said.
Alex nodded and Arianne turned to Cosme, who was walking at Alex’s side. “You’ll help Alex with the defending role since it seems you’re all fit now, am I right?”
He nodded. “Anything to-”
Alex elbowed him in the side and the blonde shutted up.
“Ow,” Summer heard him mutter.
She wondered if he was fine, but decided not to mention since Arianne was already speaking again.
“Karis and Summer, can I trust the two of you to do the damage inflicting?” she asked.

“Sisters,” Alex corrected.

So that little girl is Summer's younger sister "Ah, my bad" Karis apologized.

“I’m afraid the destruction may have been created by someone I do know,” Arianne shook her head. “Things may be harder if my hunches are correct...though I have no doubt it is him." She turned towards Summer. “I know I’ve kept this from you, but your father may be here. The reason why I held off of talking about your father is because I didn't think this would happen. Talk about one in a thousand chances...”

...Tell me about it, How ironic that one of my parents is also part of this faction. Heh!

She seemed to grumble the last part, but snapped back into character soon after. “Your father had disappeared years back just like how other powerful demons had vanished.”

Karis noticed Arianne glance towards her, checking to see if the succubus knew where she was heading. “My bet is that the Satan faction was at least somewhat behind the disappearances if not completely. If anything, he may be returning here, possibly in the wrong state of mind."

"That's the most likely explanation" Karis agreed.

“If he does appear, if he’s the one who who caused this destruction,” Summer’s mother clenched a fist. “Then we have to stop him at any cost. As a blue fire wielder’s significant other, it is my job to keep him in check. I failed the first time. I won’t let things go wrong this time.” There was a new fierceness to Arianne’s eyes.
That explains Summer's sudden outburst earlier...But she doesn't seem to know that Summer has already broken the 'seal', I hope that's not a bad thing. It didn't seem like Summer lost complete control when she used it.

“Karis and Summer, can I trust the two of you to do the damage inflicting?” she asked.
Ordinarily Karis would be more than okay to take on the role, but given the circumstances she had to think twice. I normally wouldn't mind, but seeing as how this is Summer's farther I wont be able to use my Succubus powers since I don't want to break the one friendship I've been able to obtain. That's gonna make things difficult by putting me at a disadvantage. But I suppose I'll have to take the risk and fighting only using my standard magic. Once she'd done thinking Karis reluctantly replied "...Y-Yes, I don't mind. So, do we attack immediately after Alex draws him out? Or is there something we must wait for?".

Summer

Summer glanced at Karis to see what her answer was before she consented. Her friend seemed slightly hesitant before answering yes which Summer followed up with a nod, giving her consent to the role.

Karis then asked if they would attack immediately or if there was something to wait for.

“First, we need to find him. Cosme can give us a lead to where the demon went,” Arianne replied. “Then we need to see if this demon is actually Soren. There’s always a possibility it’s not him. And if it is him, we still need to determine if he’s the one causing this damage.”

She gestured around herself at the destruction and chaos left. “If the odds are that it is him causing all of this, we’ll have to take him down with no mercy. And that’s where the plan comes in with you boys defending and you girls attacking. I’ll provide support and healing. And Seraphina, stay out of battle. If things go wrong, you must run. Any more questions?”

Summer’s little sister simply nodded at her role, unfazed. Summer looked around the party, having no question in mind except: How are we going to win?

And what a lovely reunion this may be.

If Seraphina isn't here to help, wouldn't it have been better to leave her at the house in the saftey of the ward. I wonder why she was brought along the Succubus began to ponder.

"Got it!" Karis siad after taking in all the info given to her by Arianne. The succubus slowly began emitting a faint, pink, sparkly aura which surrounded her body slowly powering up but not doing it in an instant to prevent giving away their location, the only drawback was it'd take a little longer to charge up. She could already feel the terror of facing a Blue Flame wielder, it felt as though the battle was already lost. The white haired demon had only just barely gotten out of the battle with Neikan alive, and even she doesn't anywhere comparison to Soren. Her body began trembling slightly, but she quickly regained composure. "...Well, I'm ready whenever you are" Karis announced to those with her.

"Come on men! We're almost at the fiend's palace! All we have to do now is get in and kill the darn wretch!" The leader of band of resisting demons encouraged.

"But boss, we already lost about three quarters of members just getting here! Do you even think we can challenge him?" One of the party members said fearfully, trembling as he spoke.

"What!? How could you even dare say that! Do you want all their deaths to have gone for nothing!? Well Do you!" The leader said

"N-No" The demon replied, immediately getting cut off.

"Well then keep silent and keep moving!"

The group of 50 demons walked up the long stair case towards the palace entrance, fighting valiantly against any demons which approached them.

"Sir, an army of 50 are approaching the castle" A fiery, female figure said to the demon king Beelzebub within the palace.

"So, they managed to find my palace, hah! It would seem my underlings cant keep their mouth shut!" The demon king Beelzebub nonchalantly replied, resting the side of his face on the back of his hand. He leaned back in his throne located in a darkened hallway.

"What are your orders my lord?" The light red haired female said. For a brief moment there was no response.

"Let them come, don't send any more to fight them" He ordered.

"My liege?"

"I'm bored, I've not been able to unleash my power since Zamasu said 'twas not our place to do so. He said the lesser beings should develop on their own. They finally realized that they need to be pampered by us in order to reach a level that satisfies them. Any resistance will not be tolerated" The Brunette haired demon remarked in a deep, calm tone. Nudging his feet, the several female demons which were laying at his feet moved aside as the previous King rose from his throne and began walking down the long hallway. The light red haired demon waited for Beelzebub to pass before following after, as well as one of the several females who were at his feet.

"Boss-" One of the resisting demons outside the palace said, but was again cut off.

"Something's, wrong! We're not being swarmed" The Leader commented

"Could they have given up"

"On their own turf, pfft"

Suddenly silent footsteps could be heard in the distance, gradually increasing in sound as it approached. All the troops prepared the weapons and pointed it towards the direction of the sound, preparing from an attack. The figure which appeared made himself visible to all. They were all left in shock with drooped jaws and widened eyes.

"You! Beelzebub! I'll kill you for what you've done!" The leader of the troops said, leaping forwards and towards Beelzebub driving his sword into him. Though as the sword touched him it snapped in half. "Huh!", Fearfully leaping back in shock, he summoned a ball of energy and tried attacking Beelzebub once again. However, once again the attack had no affect. "So this is the power of an upper A Class?".

"A Class? Hmph! Don't associate me with lesser beings!" Beelzebub replied, moving his long, silky hair behind his head elegantly as he spoke.

"What! Never mind, men attack him at once with everything you have-" The leader ordered.

"Raising your hand against a Z Class! That's blasphemous!" Beelzebub yelled, the two females stood behind him watched as Beelzebub enraged.

"Z-Z Class! I've never heard of Su-" The demon said when suddenly we was surrounded by a purple sphere as the Beelzebub extended his arm and directed it towards the demon, a sigil appearing on his palm. The demon's body slowly began to disintegrate into sand.

"We'll that was a nuisance" Beelzebub said, lowering his arm and hiding it beneath his cloak. The other demons turned in fear and began running away from the might of the Demon King.

"...As for the rest of you" The demon king said in a calm tone, he wiped his hand in an arc in mid air. There was a shot delay before the matter in the air exploded in an arc wiping out all the remaining 49 demons in an instant.

"Hmph! What pests, the Z Class have remained dormant for too long! It is time we make our stand and claim what is rightfully ours!" Beelzebub preached to his underlings who cheered in response.

Luchter Siegcador - Demon

He didn't know what happened. His head felt like there was a typhoon roaring inside. His body felt numb but he could scarcely feel a warm sheet on his back. Bit by bit, his senses slowly awakened. He was lying down, his upper body was bare save for some bandaged area, and it felt as if a fire gingerly warmed his body. He felt his fingers twitched when it felt too hot and he heard a groan, probably his, as soon as the light pain struck.

"Jakob?" That voice, it sounded awfully familiar. It had been a few days since he last heard it. It belonged to his nephew, he realized. It was Luchter's.

Slowly, he opened his eyes. It was admittedly difficult to do so; they felt extremely heavy. Fortunately, the room he was in was dimly litted, saving his eyes from being temporarily blinded. He forced his eyes to open, only to be met by darkness. He blinked his eyes for a few times, adjusting his vision.

"Oh, Jakob. Thank Will-O you're alright." The man in question carefully turned his head to the voice. There he was, the blonde demon who saved him from the brute commander. He was sure he had never seen him before yet he could sense that the demon before him was none other than his nephew.

"Luchter," Jakob muttered hoarsely, immediately coughing as he propped himself up. The blonde demon quickly helped him sit comfortably before handing him a glass of water which he grabbed and immediately gulped down.

"I was afraid you couldn't make it. Your injuries were really grave," the demon said, "I'm glad I made it just in time. When Elise-"

"Are you...are you really Luchter?" Jakob cut in, his voice still weak, "I sense a familiar presence within you but I'm afraid I am dubious of my own deduction."

Luchter scratched his nape and momentarily averted his gaze. "About that, I was thinking of explaining once Elise woke up."

"You might as well start now then," Jakob replied, nodding his head towards the door, "She is already here."

Luchter turned around and saw his little sister jogging to their uncle gleefully. Jakob smiled the moment she grinned, reaching to pat the girl's head.

"I am glad you are well, Elise," the silver-haired demon said, stroking her face.

"So am I! I was really afraid you wouldn't make it. Good thing I bumped into Luchter," the young demon turned to her brother, smiling in gratitude.

"Well, I suppose I can start now." Lucther pulled a nearby wooden chair and sat down while Elise sat on the edge of the bed, careful not to crush Jakob. "This is going to be very long."

"I know this whole story is insane and lacks credibility but I swear by the Siegcador blood that I was telling the truth," Luchter concluded with a sigh. If I were them, I would find it too hard to believe, he thought, dreading of what the two would say.

"Normally, I would find myself in utmost skepticism," Jakob said after contemplating, "But I must say, I sense your words are not tainted with lies."

"That's what I felt as well, Uncle," Elise commented.

"I can sense the Spirit Flame inside you, though not as strong as before which furthermore confirms your story," Jakob put his fingers under his chin, his typical pose whenever he spoke, "In addition, I must say your voice sounds perfectly the same and your new facial features bear a strong resemblance to Lintan.”

“Lintan? You mean I look like my mother?”

“Verily so, save for your eyes. They look more like Xander’s.”

Luchter felt his lips curled into a smile. He didn’t know why but hearing that made him happy. “That’s good to hear.”

“Wow, brother. You smile looks just like Mother’s,” Elise commented, staring fixedly at it, “I’ve always loved her smile. It radiates warmth, love, and hope. Seeing it always eases me down.”

“I could say the same thing,” Jakob said, smiling, “It has been a while since I last saw it. Thank you for that, Luchter.”

“Hey, I did nothing worth of gratitude,” Luchter said, rubbing his nape, “Oh yeah, I just remembered. Elise, where’s Rusalka?”

“She excused herself before I entered this room. I guess she wanted to give us time alone as a family. After all, we rarely get to be together like this.”

Even worse now that I’m a Guardian, Luchter thought.

“Luchter, there is something I want to talk with you,” Jakob said in a serious tone, “Elise, do you mind giving us some time alone?”

“No problem. I’ll be outside with Rusalka,” the blonde girl got up and left, waving before she closed the door. Jakob waited for a few seconds before he spoke.

“Luchter, as you have seen yourself, Helldomain has become a perilous place. Rebel demons lurk everywhere and a lot of strong demons are reported missing. Without the wielder of the Spirit Flame, I daresay this realm has no chance of survival. However, I believe you Guardians are capable of restraining them until the wielder awakens. It is no easy task, I know, but regardless, may I request something?”

“I would be glad to help but ultimately, it depends.”

“I want you to take Elise with you.”

Luchter widened his eyes, turning abruptly to stare at Jakob as if he was a rebel demon. “No, out of the question. It’s too dangerous.”

“She is in better protection with you, Luchter.”

“What makes you think of that? You said it yourself that Helldomain had become an appalling place and that my duty is to maintain balance in this godforsaken realm until the wielder awakens. How is she safer with me?” Luchter exasperatedly exclaimed.

“You don’t understand, Luchter. The rebel demons are after me. No doubt they will perform another assault against me with a greater number.”

“Then come with us,” Luchter persuaded, “You can’t stand up against them alone. Even with Elise’s help, you almost di.ed!”

“If that was a choice, I would choose it in a heartbeat. I will only jeopardize you by luring those rebels.”

“Jakob, come on-”

“Stop being naive, Luchter,” Jakob said, raising his voice, “In these desperate times, duty comes first before anything else. Do not let your pathetic feelings compromise your mission. You ought to think and act rationally as a grown man and a Guardian. If it is too arduous for you to handle then you are nothing more than an inadequate Guardian."

A dreadful silence befell them.

“Jakob, can I ask something?”

“What is it?”

“Why are the rebel demons chasing you? Did you do something to them?”

Jakob averted his gaze, frowning. “It’s complicated.”

Luchter sighed in defeat. He got up from the chair and stretched his arms. “I’ll take my leave once you recuperate.”

“Don’t bother. Even one second difference could cost you the world. Move while you are still able.”

“And leave you in this ruined mansion unable to even stand up? Unless you are capable of defending yourself, I won’t leave.”

Jakob sighed indignantly, massaging his forehead. “What an obstinate hellion. Just like your mother,” he muttered, barely loud enough for Luchter to hear. “Fine, I yield. However, at the very least, help me expedite my convalescence.”

Luchter smiled exultantly, shifting it into a grin when his uncle glared at him. “Thank me later, dear uncle,” the blonde demon cheekily remarked, “I’ll go fetch Elise.”

“That will not be necessary. Your Spirit Flame will be enough.”

“Even though I only carry a small bit of it?”

“Yes. The Spirit Flame has immense healing power to the point it can resurrect someone. Of course, with the amount of flame you have, you will not even be able to heal severe wounds.”

“Don’t yours count as severe?”

“As of now, not quite. I can regenerate but it takes some time. With the aid of the Spirit Flame, I should be back in shape in no time.”

“Alright, uh,” Luchter sat back on the chair, hands hovering over Jakob’s bare and bandaged chest. He hesitantly pressed his palm on top of the bandage, surprised when a gentle periwinkle light emitted from it. Instinctively, the blonde demon moved his hands in a circular motion over his uncle’s body, basking the latter in a soft, warm glow. The glimmer dissipated as soon as Luchter stopped moving. As if on cue, Jakob turned to his injured forearm and opened the bandage wrapping it, only to reveal woundless skin. It was as if he hadn’t been touched at all.

“Handy, is it not?” Jakob said, chuckling at Luchter’s dumbfounded expression, “Who knows, if you master it well, you will be able to regenerate.”

“That’s...certainly useful,” Luchter asked, still perplexed. Perhaps he shouldn’t be so surprised, he used to be able to take and give life after all.

“Be on your way, then. The quicker, the better,” Jakob got off from the bed, detaching his bandages before putting on his usual outfit and gears, “You are going to search for Deirdre, are you not? She resides in a hidden cave near the 13th ward. Rusalka should now about that.” The silver-haired demon walked over to his nephew, smiling as he put his hand on the blonde’s shoulder. “Safe journey, Luchter. I wish you the best of luck.”

“And to you as well, Jakob.” the Guardian pulled Jakob into a quick hug, grinning mischievously when he pulled away. “Promise me we’ll see each other again.”

Jakob chuckled. “Such an onerous request. Either way, however, I promise.”

Summer

Karis understood the plan and began powering up, emitting a faint, pink, sparkly aura surrounded her body. “...Well, I'm ready whenever you are.”

Alex agreed. “Ready as well. Summer?”

“Ready,” She replied, beginning to channel her ki.

Cosme, gingerly holding his side, said he was ready and then queried if he were to lead the way. Arianne nodded, striding forward and pushing the poor perv forward. The blonde then led the way as Alex followed, keeping a wary eye on him.

***

“This is it,” Cosme announced. “I saw him head this way and soon saw this building fall. But that was all.”

Arianne walked forward and looked around. “Traces of flame are still a strong. We’re at most lagging five to ten minutes behind. Considering how dead silent the ward is, we’ve likely caught his attention and probably have him on his way here. Let’s find a good battle field space while Alex, go scout out for any signs of the blue fire wielder.”

So Mother still doesn’t want to believe the demon who caused this destruction is Father, Summer thought. I guess it makes sense. I kinda hope it is...I mean, I want to know who my father is. Having a fake father for sixteen years of my life doesn’t work so well with me. I want to know who my real father is.

In the meanwhile, Alex leaped onto a roof top and vanished. Summer still wondered what kind of abilities Alex had, what kind of power it is to disappear like that. But she didn’t have the time to do so. Now she had to focus on the battle. She had been preparing her ki for a while. She was not going to let it slip away just like that right before the battle so she focused on figuring out the best way to battle on this terrain.

Karis began to tense as he ki fully charged, she knew even before seeing her opponent this was gonna be a rough a ride. Spreading her wings she lifted into the air, her hands were at her sides and just above her palm were two pink sigils. The Succubus's eyes narrowed as she waited for the fiend to show himself. Summer put her life on the line for her earlier, and now it was her turn to repay the favour.

Summer Rainlight ~ Demon

Summer

Found him, Alex’s voice sounded in Summer’s mind, as did everyone else’s. He’s heading your direction. He sure enough is a blue fire wielder. Um, he has black-midnight bluish hair. His skin’s pale. His ears are sorta pointy and-

Enough describing, any demon can look like that, just draw him to our location. Everyone, be ready, Arianne snapped, cutting Alex off. Seraphina, do what I told you to do.

The youngest demon fled at her instructions. Summer could feel her heart beat faster as she summoned a sword of fire. The blade flickered in gold flame, showing off her gained power.

Soon enough, she heard rumbling. The ground suddenly ruptured as it split into a fissure. The pyrokinetic leaped in surprise. Next thing she saw was a dark figure shoot upwards from the rubble in the distance. It was Alex, and he looked as if his life was on the line as he fled away, vanishing into thin air.

Watch out, he’s using his flame and he’s not holding back one bit, Alex warned.

In the spur of a second, another figure followed in a blur of blue. Summer could barely track the figure who was pursuing Alex. The blue fire wielder shot bursts of flame so fast at where Alex was that Summer couldn’t help but bite her lips, nervous of the battle.

Arianne was already on the move, sending a spell at him. Purple strands of light like vines with thorns shot out from her casting hand and wrapped around the blue fire wielder’s legs and pulled him to a stop, dragging him to the ground.

Summer’s mother ran over towards the figure, appearing to say something towards their assaulter.

-

Arianne stopped at the demon’s side. There was no doubt. It was Soren. Oh Soren, her dear love.

“Soren, please tell me you aren’t with Satan,” She said. “Tell me what really happened all those years back.”

Something flickered in Soren’s eyes. But a cold, glassy gaze returned. “None...of...your...business.” He growled through gritted teeth.

It was like he was fighting something within. Like there was something he wished to say, but decided against. Arianne narrowed her eyes. “For whatever reason why you did this, was it really worth it to split up your entire family? To break our promise?”

The only response she got was the same icy gaze. The platinum blonde had a bad feeling about what was going on in her partner’s mind. There was something she had yet to discover.

“Soren Rainlight, answer me now,” she demanded.

Well, that was the wrong way to say it.

-

Everyone, get back! Arianne shouted telepathically.

Summer’s mother slashed at the thorns, leaping back just as the area around Soren exploded with blue flames. Forceful gusts pushed outward in every direction from the blue fire wielder in the center.

Summer brought up her arms to block the gust, but the force was still strong enough to push her backwards a couple of meters. She watched in horror as the blue fire wielder lunged at her mother. Arianne was about to duck away, but Cosme ran forward and blocked the attack. Green particles surrounded him in a veil, what Summer assumed to be part of his demon form. The particles acted as a shield, deflecting Soren’s assault.

Unfortunately...that, everyone, Arianne said as she got up and leapt up to a roof top. Is Soren. Happy reunion.

If the platinum blonde was devastated or hurt in any way, she didn’t show it. The spellcaster continued on strong as ever. Don’t hold anything back. The sooner he’s defeated, the less damage done to this area. We only have so long before we attract more of them. Let’s go!

Summer, taking comfort in her mother’s words, charged forward to fight her father.

She slashed at his back while he was focused on Cosme, drawing his attention.

((So, I had difficulties with my parents today and didn’t get to do as I said :/ It’s past 1 here. Imma go sleep. Sorry for the worst possible place to stop writing))

Karis watched as Arianne tied the blue flame wielder with a purple vine like energy, dragging him to the ground. The platinum blonde immediately rushed over to her partner and began to question him.

Was now really the time for that? But then again, if you've been separated from your loved one for so long, she supposed it's only natural.

Everyone, get back! The Succubus heard Arianne shout telepathically.

And she was right, Soren exploded the whole area with blue flames. She was surprised when Cosme body blocked Soren from Arianne with the green particles surrounding his body. "Wow, perhaps your not all that useless after all" Karis remarked.

The Succubus changed her attention back over to the evil demon, "Well I suppose now it's my turn!" Karis commented, materializing a pink energy spear and firing towards Soren. "Take. That!...How could you turn on your own family!?". The attack was followed up by Karis quickly landing back on the floor and positioning both her palms horizontally facing away from each other, pink sigils forming over them. "Haaaaaaah!" The Succubus shouted, as a wave of pink energy burst out of both the sigils and began heading towards Soren's direction.

Xander and Lintan

"So, where should we go next?" Lintan made a wiping gesture mid-air, creating a map of Helldomain with her fire. She marked the areas they had liberated with dragon-shaped flames, the ones they hadn't with dots.
"I heard the 13th ward had been assaulted with unfamiliar force," Xander pointed his gloved finger at a dot, "Not that it's new."
"Unfamiliar force? What do you mean?"
"It's a mere rumor but they say a blue flame wielder has been going on a rampage and there exists only one wielder currently which means-"
"Are you saying Soren Rainlight sides with the rebels?"
"It's a possibility." Xander touched an area near the dot he pointed earlier with the tip of his sword, filling the area with dark flame, "The rebels might be after Deirdre. Who else fits the mission to capture the renowned spirit than him?"
Lintan nodded in acknowledgement, taking her husband's conjecture into account. "And I thought the Blazing Dancer was nothing but a myth."
"I suppose you are mistaken then."
Lintan stared at the area Xander filled with Siegfried's dark flame. 'Why would someone as important as a Guardian like Deirdre resides near arguably the most hazardous ward?' she thought.
"Don't take too much time pondering," Xander said while patting Lintan's head, snapping the latter out of her reverie, "We have to get moving."
Lintan sighed as she gracefully flicked her hand, dissipating the map she created. "Alright, let's head to her chamber then."

Summer

Summer
Cosme drew back just as Karis joined Summer in attack.
“Heh, you know what they say,” the blonde male replied. “Don't judge a book by its cover.”
Summer fired balls of flame at Soren from the other side from the other side of Karis. When
the succubus held up both her palms at the blue fire wielder, she jumped away from the area of attack. Pink sigils formed over them and a wave of pink energy burst out of both the sigils and began heading towards Soren's direction.
The demon deflected the energy with a flick of two fingers, sending the wave up into the sky. He then sent a continuous stream of flames from a palm of an extended arm at Karis and another at Summer.
Summer ducked, her hairs on her neck rising from the intensity of the flames so close to scorching her. There was a sudden rush of wind and out of the corner of her eye, she saw Alex materialize and kicked Soren in the stomach with one foot and followed it with a roundhouse kick to their father’s face with the other. The streams of blue fire disappeared for a moment as he lost balance. But reflexively, the blue fire wielder did a backflip and pushed off some rubble and drew a flame out of mid air, shaping it into a sword and slashing at Alex. He barely managed to block the blow with an arm. Agony distorted his face, for clearly the flame hurt as it cut past his clothes and into his flesh, exploding as it did. But he didn't allow the pain to slow him. The son drew his other arm from behind his back and dabbed it at the father’s side, flames covering it. Upon impact, Alex’s fire exploded. He drew flames into his other hand and brought it up just in time to meet Soren’s next attack. As they connected flames, wind and flames shot outward in all directions, sending everyone backwards. Luckily Arianne casted protective barriers around all four right before the two struck, lessening the impact, though they shattered soon after.
Dust rose, making it harder to see. Through squinted eyes, Summer made out Cosme’s green particles countering blue flames.
'I’ve got him in place! Take him down now!' Cosme said through telepathy.
Arianne added. 'I’m casting healing spells in case you touch some flame. I’ll also add some paralyzation. Alex, retreat for now. I’ll need to tend those wounds.'
'Ok,' Summer’s brother replied and disengaged, flying over to Arianne who was casting her spells from a rooftop not too far away.
The platinum blonde finished muttering the spells and casted them on the four. She then sent a thin bolt of electricity, a paralyzation spell, towards Soren. The spark hit, causing a web of electricity to form beneath him. Threads strapped on, similar to the thorn binding except this spell shocked him still.
Summer didn’t waste time to flank her father and attack with her flames.

Surprisingly, Soren was able to easily deflect Karis' attack with a mere flick of his fingers. Her eyes widened at the sight, and she though Neikan was crazy strong 'What a terrifying adversary!' She said, though the sound would've been muffled due to all the explosions.

Soren then retaliated by firing a continuous stream of fire towards her, she saw that Summer was able to dodge however the Succubus's previous state of shock made her unable to react so suddenly. She pointed both her index fingers towards the stream and began firing rapid pink energy bullets back at the flame.

She could see the bullets were slowing down the stream of fire, however it was still moving towards her. "Ugh!" She grunted as she saw her power was no match for the blue flame wielder.

Suddenly, the blue flame was no longer being fired. Karis looked up in confusion

"Huh?...Alex!", She yelled in joy as Summer's older brother prevented her from being reduced to ash. The son clashed with the farther, each strike releasing a powerful explosion. The two's attacks met forming a huge gust of wind and dust. Karis covered her face with both her arms but the force was to great for her to withstand as she began to get pushed back. Only to hit barrier "Arianne! Thank you" She said gratefully, unfortunately it didn't hold that long and shattered like glass.

When the dust cleared, Alex was pretty badly wounded hence the reason why Arianne requested he retreat for now. The platinum blonde snared the fiend in an electrical web opening him up for an attack. The white haired demon saw that her friend wasted no time and immediately flanked her farther. Poor, girl I wonder what it must be like to have to fight your farther the first time you meet him? Especially considering he's one of Helldomain's top class demons, Yet she seems perfectly composed.

Karis didn't want to leave her friend so quickly darted to her side, "Summer! I'll draw his attention you aid me with ranged support. If the situation arises, do not hold back even if it means hitting me! It may be the only opportunity we get!" Karis ordered, not staying long enough to hear out a response. She leapt forward and rushed Soren after extending her nails and began to savagely claw away at the blue flame wielder.

I'm cool either way. Just so y'all know. I'm prolly having Soren disappear off or something like that when he realizes he'll lose if he continues.

Summer

“Summer! I'll draw his attention you aid me with ranged support. If the situation arises, do not hold back even if it means hitting me! It may be the only opportunity we get!” Karis ordered, leaping forward before Summer could respond. She watched the silver haired rush Soren, slashing at him savagely.
The pyrokinetic nodded, sending fireballs at her paralyzed father, careful not to hit her friend or the perv, while Cosme blocked Soren’s flails.

The Succubus repeatedly struck the blue flame wielder as she slashed away at him, though he began to flail in retaliation. To her surprise the perv was actually defending her, his defensive capabilities proved to be rather useful. The white haired demon swiftly lifted her leg before kicking Soren with a solid at the core of his body causing him to stagger back slightly. The attack was then followed up by Karis slashing at Soren's Centre in an x-like shape. She immediately leaped into the air afterwards before calling out to her friend, "Summer! Now!" She yelled, hoping her friend would fire at Soren simultaneously. The Succubus fired out a powerful beam of pink energy using some of the little stores of her power she had left.

Luchter, Rusalka, and Elise

"Hey, Rusalka!" Elise lightly jogged to Rusalka, walking next to her with hands behind her back, holding her staff, "I was wondering, if you are water-related, does that mean Deirdre is your opposite?"

"Aptly put. She is predominantly my contrary," Rusalka replied, smiling in reminiscence, "Though, we have many similarities as well. We are created by the same being, after all."

"The first wielder, huh?"

"Yes. Deirdre and I represent her sides. I am the embodiment of her tranquility while Deirdre is the embodiment of her fiery side. Bluntly put, I am her mature side whereas Deirdre is her childish side."

Elise laughed heartily. "That sounds like something Uncle Jakob would say about my parents."

Luchter watched the two's exchange from behind, a smile on his lips. It was astonishing that the two had become akin to close friends in a short period of time. The moment Luchter found them after talking with Jakob, they were already happily chatting.

Luchter took a look at his surrounding. All he could see was a land awash in blood, broken weapons, and limbs. The demon cringed. It wasn't even long after the rebels started their attack. He couldn't imagine what would happen if they had to wait for the new wielder to come of age. Heck, I don't even want to know what Helldomain would look like tomorrow.

"Hey, Big Brother!" Luchter snapped out of his reverie, blinking at Elise. The younger demon cocked her head in confusion but it was gone as soon as it appeared, replaced by her usual warm smile. "Were you daydreaming? There are better things to do than daydreaming in war-torn areas, you know."
"Yes, yes, Mother. I apologize for my revolting action," Luchter replied sarcastically, catching up with the two. Elise playfully punched his shoulder which surprisingly hurt.

"Anyhow, Rusalka said we'd arrive shortly," Elise said, grinning mischievously when her brother rubbed his sore shoulder.

"That's helpful. With all this gruesome scenery, I have no idea how you manage to know exactly where we are," Luchter remarked, turning to Rusalka.

"It is only to be expected from someone who has lived since the era of the first wielder. I know Helldomain like the back of my hand," Rusalka said, smiling at the siblings' antics, "We better make haste. The sooner we get Deirdre, the sooner Helldomain gains our protection."

Lintan stopped suddenly in her tracks, her gaze lingering on the ground around her. Her brows were frowned and her lips was curled in anxiety. Xander turned to her, opening his mouth only to close it when he followed his wife’s gaze.

“It’s strange, isn’t it?” Lintan asked, noticing that the blonde man halted his steps as soon as she did so, “Limbs, blood, and gruesome sceneries have become common sight in Helldomain. And yet...”

“The closer we are to Ward 13th, the lesser those things are seen. Is that what you were about to say?” Xander cut in as he scanned the area. The ground was abnormally pristine as if it had never been touched by evil. The air gave off serenity although every part of Helldomain was wartorn. It was unfathomable.

“Exactly,” Lintan agreed, “I thought we’d only see more of it. After the rebels’ attack, Ward 13th is prone to even the tiniest peril. This makes no sense.”

“Perhaps Deirdre is protecting this area. She resides around here, after all,” Xander speculated. Lintan hummed ambiguously but Xander paid no mind to it and started walking, leaving Lintan no choice but to go onward with her husband. The female demon drew a map of Helldomain with her flame, limning their location with a dot of flame.

“I can feel her presence. Does this mean we’re close? We’re not exactly near the 13th ward, though,” Lintan asked, her eyes fluttering close in concentration. She waited for an answer only to be greeted by silence. Her eyes slowly opened and turned to Xander, brow arched in confusion, even deeper when the blonde man stared at her with a rather perplexed visage.

“Uhm, Xander? What’s with that face?” Lintan asked, slightly waving her hand in front of the man’s face.

“Deirdre... No one is supposed to be able to sense her, let alone easily,” Xander said as he gently waved off Lintan’s hand, “Are you sure it is her presence you sensed?”

“My sensory perception never fails me,” Lintan confidently said, smirking. Xander simply stared skeptically, folding his arms over his chest, holding a smile. A moment passed and Lintan sighed in defeat. “Okay, it did fail me once but that doesn’t count.”

“You mean the time when you thought there were assassins in our path in which you suggested to take a detour that cost us treble the time and energy? Oh, I remember it all too well,” Xander teased, “It is a fond memory. Should I remind you what those “assassins” actually ar-”

“Oh, shut up! It’s embarrassing! No, it’s mortifying!” Lintan shouted, covering her reddened face, grunting when Xander laughed in her response. Her map immediately flickered off as if it was abashed as well.

“No need to fret over it. I was just teasing,” Xander said once he stopped laughing, coaxing Lintan to let go of her hands with his own. The silver-haired blonde simply slapped his hands away, pouting. Before Xander could utter any remarks, she quickly spoke, “Anyway, I’m sure it’s really her. I’ve never felt such an aura before. It’s hard to describe it but it feels so powerful...yet invigorating.”

“Do you know where exactly it stems from?” Xander asked, his hearty demeanor had dispersed.

“No but if I get closer, it should feel stronger,” Lintan half muttered as she started trudging aimlessly, eyes closed. Xander followed her close by, ensuring the platinum blonde’s safety.

“Stronger... Weakening...not this way. Stronger... Stronger... Ah!” Lintan eyes flew open as she grinned in triumph. It quickly faded however as soon as she realized there was nothing but barren land around her.

“Or...I suppose not? But it feels so strong here,” Lintan said, frowning.

“It IS somewhere in this area,” Xander said, surprising his wife, “I can sense it now. Odd to think I have never felt such feeling whenever I pass this area.”

Suddenly, the ground began to tremble. It rapidly transformed into a morbid shaking that was so powerful, everything around them turned into incomprehensible blur. Lintan yelped in surprise, frantically gaining her stance only to realize how futile it was. She felt Xander grasped her hand and turned to him. Unfortunately, the violent shaking rendered her unable to perceive the blonde’s expression. The two couldn’t do anything but wait until the earthquake subsided. The shaking gradually mitigated into trembles, trembles decimated into nothing.

“Lintan? Are you okay?” Lintan opened her eyes to meet a pair of burgundy orbs staring into her crimson ones.

“I’m alright. I was just surprised, that’s all,” she nodded whilst smiling.

“Then I suggest you brace yourself. You will get another surprise,” Xander said cryptically, averting his gaze. Lintan followed his gaze, her eyes widening when she saw what was laid at the centre of the area, most likely left after the earthquake regressed.

It was a stairway made of solidified sand. Intricate golden patterns adorned the steps, each emitting a soft glow. Darkness could only be seen as the steps led deeper underground. Lintan turned to Xander who was coincidentally facing her. They nodded simultaneously to each other and set of.

Summer Rainlight ~ Demon

Summer

((Sorry, I inconveniently had class during break and ended up having this post up later than expected. And wow, it’s been awhile since someone called me Flame 0_0))

In the meanwhile, Summer had been charging up her ki for the cue.

Energy pulsed around her as she pushed off the ground, raising both hands up to gather her summoned ki into an energy ball. She then brought her arms down so that her palms faced Soren, accompanying the blast with a shout. “Rahhh!”

(Imagine the blast yellow-gold, not blue or purple)

Soren, just recovering from Karis’s attacks, looked up at the blast, his eyes widening by a slight bit. He raised one arm up just as the blast hit. The area glowed gold with the blast light for a moment. Upon impact, wind gusted outwards and forced everyone backward no matter how hard they tried to hold their ground. Summer found herself so tired, she couldn’t stop her fall after the blast ended. Luckily, Alex saw his younger sister falling and took off, catching her before she could hit the ground and break a bone or so despite his own weakened state.

“You good?” He asked as he helped his sibling onto her feet.

“I’m fine,” she sighed and looked about for her friend, slightly dazed. She hoped she managed to deal some damage at least on Soren.

Karis found herself swept away into some rubble by the recoil of the blast. Narrowing her eyes, she looked at where she last saw Soren. There was a pit in his place. Did we finish him? She thought, bewildered by the power Summer displayed. She heard a chime and saw a faded green-blue aura surround her; a healing spell casted by Arianne.

“Thanks,” she called to the caster standing on rubble to her left.

“No problem,” the platinum called back to the succubus, but her eyes were trained elsewhere.

Arianne was looking right at the pit. Right now, everyone’s defenseless, she analyzed the situation. If he were to strike right now, it would be fatal. I’ll have to keep him in place until everyone has recovered enough to fight again.

She leaped forward towards the pit, daring to peak. But just as she got close, she saw Soren’s hand grasp the edge of the ditch.

Everyone, look out! She barely had the time to warn everyone telepathically before the blue fire wielder bursted out of the hole, lunging right at Arianne. The enchantress casted a quick gust spell, sending Soren back just enough for her to escape back.

She continued with another spell, creating a magic bound cage around him just as the healing spells she had casted on the others worn off.

Are you alright, mom? Summer asked.

Fine as can be, the caster replied. Now, here’s the plan. We’ll be changing to hit and run. The rubble will give enough cover since having a defensive side takes too much. In the end, when we have him weakened enough, we’ll surround and deliver a final blow, ok?

Sounds good, Alex replied.

Arianne looked back to see her son on his feet again, appearing ready to fight again.

Fine by me, Summer added. Let’s wrap this up nicely, right Karis?

Of course, the silver haired replied, smiling.

And then let’s have a party afterwards, Cosme chimed in. How does a pool party sound? Girls make sure-

Shut up, perv, Alex cut him off.

Mm, I’ll pass, Summer declined the idea, recalling the event back at the hotel. Anyway, shouldn’t we focus on the battle?

On that note, everyone turned their attention to the cage. The moment he broke out, everyone began the tactic explained by Arianne. Gradually, they chipped off bits of Soren’s strength and health. It wasn’t before long, they had him surrounded and weak.

Alright, everyone, prepare a final blow! Arianne commanded as she fired yet another earthbound trap, keeping Soren stuck in place.

Everyone charged up their ki and on Arianne’s mark, they fired. The light from all their moves fused together into white light, blinding the surrounding air for a moment before fading.

The ward was silent as the light faded. No one made a move for a moment. All eyes were trained on one figure: Soren.

The blue fire wielder was collapsed on the ground, unmoving. It was only after a minute Arianne walked forth to the fallen form of her husband, crouched, and brushed some of his hair to the side. She examined his breathing and stood up, announcing to the group. “We won.”

There wasn’t much of a celebration since everyone was too battleworn, but there was a sense of accomplishment in the air. They stopped Soren, the legendary blue fire wielder.

((Woohoo, concise and to the point. I can do a lengthier version when I have the time. Sorry if you expected more. I was just stripped of time so this is all I have.))

The Siegcadors and the Guardians

((By. The. Gods. I know this won't top feather's huge post but all my life, I had never ever typed something this long. Sorry if there are any confusing stuffs, especially nearing the end. I was getting tired xD))

Lintan traipsed the stairs warily, as if she’d activate a trap should her step went off by even less than an inch. Once it became too dark, she summoned a small dragon-shaped flame which flew in circles in front of her. Xander followed close behind her, his dominant hand resting on the handle of Siegfried.
Suddenly, an ominous loud thump echoed throughout the tunnel. Xander instinctively drew his sword, pointing it behind him. He soon realized the sound came from whatever was blocking the entrance and sheathed the weapon.
“The entrance is occluded,” Xander said as he continued walking down the seemingly endless stairs.
“That’s reassuring,” Lintan remarked sarcastically, “I wager something malefic will greet us soon.”

“Yet I can’t sense any negative energy. Perhaps it was Deirdre’s way to keep other demons away,” Xander speculated.

“Is that a challenge, Mr. Fancy Pants?” Lintan turned to Xander, smirking.

“I suppose, Ms. Twinkle Toes.” Xander smirked back as he walked past Lintan.

The two continued their walk down the seemingly endless stairs in darkness, Lintan’s flame dragon being the only source of light. After what it felt like eternity, the dragon started flying agitatedly, dissolving into a floating fireball in front of an intricate colossal door. The door was adorned with sigil-shaped carvings which made a shape of what it looked to be some kind of bird.

“Is this some sort of door or something?” Lintan muttered, lightly pushing the mural which did nothing. She pushed with both of her hands at full strength but nothing happened either, not even a budge.

“I don’t think you’ll get anywhere doing that,” Xander remarked.

“Well, what then? What do you propose we do?” Lintan asked as she diverted her gaze to her fireball floating right in front of a group of sigil carvings. The more she stared at it, the more it became clear to her that the carvings which were basked in her flame’s soft orange hue were glowing in white. The closer the carvings were with the flame, the brighter they glowed. Out of curiosity, Lintan did a slow wiping gesture, igniting her hand in fire as she did so. The sigil carvings glowed underneath her flame.

“Xander, did you see that?” Lintan asked, turning to the blonde demon. He nodded in response as he pressed his palm onto the mural, emitting his dark flame, the same one that imbued his sword. Lintan followed suit and soon, all the sigil carvings and even the whole mural shone in blinding light. When the light dispersed, a tunnel leading to yet another darkness greeted them. Lintan immediately created another flame dragon, bigger than the first one, and sent it to inspect the tunnel. The dragon flew from corner to corner; however, when it reached a deeper part, it screeched and disappeared. Lintan turned to Xander, confused, even more when she realized that the blonde demon was wide-eyed.

“What was that?” Xander muttered, turning to Lintan, “Did you see that, Lintan?”

“I don’t think I’d be quiet if I knew,” Lintan replied.

“Something… Something odd hit your dragon and yet I can sense nothing. Heck, I haven’t sensed any energy since we ventured into this cave.”

“Could this really be where Deirdre resides?” Lintan asked, growing dubious.

Before Xander could even think, he unsheathed Siegfried slowly before swiftly slashing it diagonally. He felt his sword clashed with something alongside a clink. He turned to the ground to see an unusually big thin golden ring. He bent down to pick it up but the ring was quickly retracted into the darkness.

“Wasn’t that a ring for dancers?” Lintan asked incredulously. As the two was left dumbfounded, a figure materialized behind them furtively. Basking their hands in dark aura, the figure forcefully pushed the demons with a dark beam into the cave, catching them off guard as they yelped in surprise. The moment the two hit the ground, a wall shut the entrance. Flames emerged from standing torches, igniting the chamber dimly. Xander, who fell onto his stomach, looked up to see a silhouette of a hunched figure. He noticed a pair of rings in their hands, the very same dancing ring that attacked him earlier. The blonde demon rose to his feet, pointing his sword at them.

“Who are you? Show yourself!” he demanded. A pair of flames emerged, revealing a grandiloquent throne between them and the figure standing in front of it. Xander had half-expected it to be another zombified demon but the reality shook him beyond words. It was a woman, a dancer precisely. Her crimson blood eyes were staring blankly at the marble floor, eerily wide open, and her form was writhing. Malicious dark flame shrouded her, making her look as if she was ablaze.

((This is what she looks like (without the dark flame and whatever). I don’t really have the motivation to finish this so yea, have this eternal WIP :P O yea, note that her hair is a red and orange ombre. Also, the thing between the rings is supposed to be fire. One last thing, her rings (I’m not actually sure what it’s supposed to be called) are supposed to look like this:))

“Deirdre? No, it can’t be…” Xander muttered in disbelief, perplexed. As soon as her name left the demon’s lips, she abruptly turned to him, staring as if she was piercing him with her gaze. She raised her rings to chest level and summoned a shawl of dark flame before fleetly throwing a ring towards Xander, the flame extending in accordance with it. Xander parried it in ease, rushing forward while the spirit retracted her ring and slashed horizontally. Deirdre simply dissolved and emerged behind him, enhancing her rings in dark flame as she raised them up, preparing to strike in one quick motion. Xander reflexively raised his sword behind him across his back, the weapon meeting the ring just in time. He twisted his back in an attempt to slash the spirit as well as dodging her ring. Deirdre managed to avoid his attack but in doing so, she staggered back, losing her balance. Xander saw a golden opportunity and lunged, only to stop when a dragon-shaped fire was hurled towards the wobbling spirit. She shrieked in pain and vanished, materializing near where the entrance once was, staring blankly at Lintan who then stood next to her husband.

“Taking the fight all to yourself, Fancy Frown? I don’t think so,” the female demon said cheekily as she engulfed her hands in flame.

“I was merely giving you time to recover, Delicate Flower,” Xander retorted, smirking.

“Ah, so that’s how it is? Well then, Xander Siegcador, feast your eyes upon what this ‘delicate flower’ is capable of.” Lintan rushed towards Deirdre while hurling fireballs rapidly. The spirit fleetly yet gracefully twirled, the fire shawl circling her and deflecting Lintan’s attack. The demon immediately created a fire barrier in front of her which absorbed all of her deflected fireballs as she sprinted. Once close enough, she utilized what little momentum she had to perform a swift whirling kick followed by a fire stream. Unfortunately, Deirdre was quick enough to defend herself with her fire shawl. She retaliated with whirling kicks in quick succession which Lintan evaded graciously, ending it with rapid pirouettes that sent her shawl wildly spinning midair in circles. Lintan reflexively performed a backflip, her bare feet almost caught in the spirit’s dark flame. She slightly crouched when she landed and, as if seizing the chance, a dark lightning beam flew past her, just an inch above her head, striking the spirit and drew yet another agonized shriek. The spirit, agitated, aggressively flung dark fire blades to every direction, damaging her chamber in the process. Lintan stepped back towards Xander while blocking Deirdre’s attack by circular motion.

“For once, I won’t complain that you stole my moment,” Lintan remarked. She merged the fire circle she made out of Deirdre’s attack into a fireball and fired a series of fire arrows from it. The spirit performed a cartwheel before sprinting towards the demons, dodging with rather graceful moves. She would spin, split in mid-air, and raise her arms as if she had wings. When she was within arm reach, Lintan swept the floor with her leg, throwing the enraged spirit off balance and allowing Xander to continuously slash her. He watched the spirit tottered back before pressing his palm onto her chest, blasting her away with a vortex of dark flame. It was so powerful, Deirdre slammed into the wall with a crater in her wake. She limply got to her feet, supporting herself with the wall she had damaged, glaring daggers into the demon. The moment she attempted to attack, Lintan held her against the wall with fire chains. The spirit struggled and shrieked, even more when the demons approached her.

“Deirdre, what happened to you?” Xander asked rhetorically. He knew at this state, the spirit wouldn’t answer him, at least not with words.

“Stay away from her!”

The demons whipped their head to the source of the voice. It was a young woman in blue, staring at Deirdre in shock. Two demons soon came to her side. One of them was a blonde they had never seen before but the second one...

“Elise?!”

“Luchter, help me purify her before it’s too late!” Rusalka rushed to Deirdre in which Xander and Lintan stepped aside, bewildered by the sudden change of event though Lintan still managed to keep her chains intact. Luchter quickly followed the blue spirit, transforming into his demon form halfway through. He ignored the fact that his demon form had changed and focused at the task in hand. Once he was face-to-face with the corrupted spirit, Rusalka diminished into a small ball of light and entered Luchter, empowering him.

This is not going to be easy. With the amount of Spirit Flame you currently possess, this process will greatly exhaust you, Rusalka warned.

Should’ve said that beforehand, Rusalka, Luchter joked, In all seriousness though, I volunteered to help, therefore I am willing to take any risks.

Thank you, Luchter. I promise I will do my best to aid you however I can.

I know. You always do.

Luchter pressed his thumb on Deirdre’s forehead, the other one on her chest. He closed his eyes and concentrated, channeling pure energy into the spirit. His hands glowed in white and soon, so did the corrupted spirit. Slowly, her crimson blood eyes were replaced with amber, the dark flame surrounding her disappeared, and her struggling ceased. Noticing the subtle changes even though his eyes were shut, Luchter amplified his power, basking not only the spirit but the whole chamber in light. When it subsided, Luchter opened his eyes and staggered back, staring at the red spirit in concern. Deirdre stood there, eyes wide open though her gaze was gentle, seemingly dumbfounded. She blinked her eyes repeatedly before glimpsing at the four demons in her chamber, puzzled.

“Huh? When did I let you all in?” she uttered in confusion. Suddenly, Rusalka jumped out of Luchter, materializing into her mortal form and hugged Deirdre tightly.

“Deirdre! Thank Will-o you’re alright!” Rusalka said in joy.

“What the- Ruru? What are you doing- Ouch! Watch my hand! Wait, why am I chained?!”

“Ah, sorry about that,” Lintan muttered, retracting her chains.

“You were corrupted. Do you not remember?” Rusalka asked, pulling away from her opposite.

“I was what? Ruru, what the heck happened?”

“You opened the way to your chamber for us,” Xander intercepted, “My wife and I managed to solve your mural conundrum and suddenly, you attacked us.”

“It didn’t seem that you’d listen to us so we were left with no choice but to fight you back,” Lintan continued, “When we finally had you chained down, these three came to our aid.”

“Then, Luchter and I purified you,” Rusalka ended, “Were you truly oblivious?”

“I won’t lie to you, Ruru,” Deirdre pouted but it vanished the moment it appeared, “Oh and did you say that silver-haired guy purified me? Does that mean-”

“Let’s get outside. I’ll explain everything,” Rusalka turned to Luchter, smiling in gratitude, before she dragged Deirdre out of her chamber. Luchter watched the two in amusement before he was disturbed with a cough.

“Elise, what are you doing here?” Lintan asked in concern as the aforementioned young demon ran to her parents’ side, smiling.

“Oh, nothing particular. Just helping dear older brother with everything,” Elise replied jubilantly.
“Older...brother?” Lintan and Xander turned to the apparent stranger as he reverted into his human form. Luchter smiled awkwardly, rubbing his nape anxiously. Lintan stepped closer to him, reluctantly caressing his cheek. She gasped the moment her crimson eyes met with the blonde’s burgundy.

“Those eyes…” she turned to Xander for a moment before looking into Luchter’s eyes again, “Xander… His eyes are just like yours.” Lintan stepped aside and let Xander inspected Luchter’s face. He noticed just how similar the demon’s feature was with Lintan’s aside from his eyes which made the older demon felt as if he was staring into himself. A smile surfaced to his usually stern face as he caressed the other blonde’s face, pulling him into a hug.

“Luchter, it’s good to see you again,” he said gently, stroking the young man’s hair.

“It’s good to see you, Father,” Luchter said, burying his face into his father’s shoulder. They soon pulled away, smiling to each other before Luchter diverted his attention and hugged his mother.

“It’s good to see you too, Mother,” he said, pulling her close. He felt Lintan nodded in agreement, probably in lost for words.

“Luchter, what happened to your...appearance?” Lintan asked as she pulled away, “I clearly remembered you had purple hair and jade eyes.”
“It’s a long story,” Luchter chuckled, “Want to hear it now? Those spirits are probably taking their time too.”

(short timeskip)

“I know it sounds bizarre but I assure you, it all actually happened,” Luchter said, concluding his story. He waited for his parents to respond, anxiety building inside him, similar to when he told Jakob and Elise about his resurrection story.

“Wait, you’re telling me you have a girlfriend?” Lintan blurted out suddenly, somewhat excited.

“That’s not the important part but yes, somewhat,” Luchter said, muttering the last part, “Are you angry that she’s not a demon?”

“What? No, in fact this is amazing, Luchter! I can’t believe the same thing will happen again!” Lintan said jovially.

“The same thing?” Luchter furrowed his brow.

“Ah, I’ll tell you about it later. Anyway, how’s Jakob? Please tell me he didn’t do anything rash.”

Luchter glanced at Elise in which the young demon returned. Lintan caught their act, immediately furrowing her brows in worry.

“Something happened, did it not?”

“The rebels attacked us not long ago,” Elise said hesitantly, “Luchter came just in time to kill the last of them and healed Uncle’s wound. After he recovered, he decided to venture on his own.”

“Godd.amnit, Jakob. How many times do I have to tell you?” Lintan muttered bitterly.

“I believe he has considered it well. Trust in him,” Xander said, easing his wife’s worry.

“Is anything the matter?” Luchter asked, curious as Lintan’s response didn’t meet his expectation.

“It’s nothing,” Lintan clearly lied. Before Luchter could question her further, she spoke up, “Come with me, Luchter, I want to show you something. You might find it beneficial for this war.” Without another word, Lintan turned around and took the staircase. Luchter turned to his father in hopes for clues but unfortunately, his visage was impossible to read. In the end, the young Guardian took a deep breath before following his mother.

((Couldn't find any images that portrays Deidre's chamber. This is the closest thing I found, just without the tables and chairs. Her chamber is like a ballroom with standing torches and a throne.
