As we all know, the dragon that cannot fly is the Speed Stinger. But i'd like to prove you wrong.

"enthusiastic, quick young dragons that don't fly are perfect for this line of work."

Hmm. Weird. He could be invalid because of low happimess or age

Half correct

By the age. As you can see, "Teen" is in red, and red text broadly mean that because of that status, the dragon doesn't meet the requirements. What the quest is designed for are baby dragons or any sorts, but speed stingers, regardless of age will never fly.

Maybe the teen Speedstinger will be too large to for wherever the hatlings need to go and that is why it is invalid.

I remember for a brief time that this stable quest used to accept older dragons, but has an increased chance for baby dragons. Then Tuesday came and took away that privilage. Now the tip makes less sense over not specifically regarding baby dragons, as it wasn't their original intent to enforce it. Teen speed stingers are still rather small dragons, as opposed to baby scuttleclaws that (are canonically larger than adult speed stingers) can participate in the quest.

In summary, I'm with the joke. :P

You see, the only time I ever spend in the stables is constantly refreshing until I find long night flight and farming gems. So I have no clue about any other stable missons

Ah, totally understand. I do the same thing but it's mostly Long Night Flight because the other Toothless quests don't matter (Mechanical Wings maybe, but not when I have a high gold count and lvl 50 Toothless).

Other than having all 9 of my Vikings doing the Long Night Flight quest (earning between 300 & 6,300 gems a week depending on luck and chance), I do stable quests for experience to lvl up my dragons. I replace the ones that offer less than 200XP, especially the ones with a fishbox or power-up box.

That is... Really smart. Darn. Now I wish I actually used my other Vikingg slots but it is really too late now because my membership ran out and only my main account is old enough to permanently keep Toothless

Subject:

Be wary. Having 9 vikings with 9 Toothless slots with 10 minutes of replacement with a 20% chance of landing on Long Night Flight counted on each of your vikings at once requires TONS of persistance of constant flipping and switching your Viking slots hoping for that 20% chance. Pro-tip: upon creating a new Viking, the quest won't appear until the viking has at least a full set of bronze stars.

Also, you get the Perma-Toothless on all of your Vikings —not just the one. My latest Viking on my account (9th Viking) was made December of 2019 and he got a Perma-Toothless. As long as you are on the same account that had the membership on one of your Vikings before October of 2014, it's available to all Viking slots automatically.

Oh, really? That is awesome. Thank you for the tips. I am so going to do this... But won't I still have to purchase a new membership for toothless to "play" with me?

Sorry, left my subject outside :P

Well, it wouldn't be a Perma-Toothless if you can't use him, now would'nt it? Once you had Toothless in one Viking before Oct 2014, full Toothless access is shared on all your Vikings, even if your membership has long since expired.

I didn't know that! Sweet. I definitely need to start monopolizing on this before the spring event. Working my ccurrent viking up to 3 bronze stars and it's taking forever

Here at the School of Dragons Wikia, we list all the information needed for the Stable Missions (here) and we can confirm that Speed Stinger gives 30% because of his Speed skill - the Mission is also exclusively for Babies hence the "quick young dragons that don't fly" part.

In-Game Info and SoD Wiki:

Mostly open for Wikia purposes though I only come out in MMO during battles but don't bother talk with me as I never use the chat as a form of communication due to the uncontrollable censor overload. I have about 40+ Dragons which you can find them listed here.

Being uneligible doesn't mean the dragon is the polar opposite of what the quest requires. :þ I suppose your dragon is  just too young in this case.

I usually tend to ignore both the text and the icon when choosing dragons for stable quests. Sometimes they make sense, but most often they don't and there's dragons with better success rates than recommended ones.
