Gender: Male

Apperance: Black unkept hair of medium length that covers (most of the time) his eye's of which are a Hazel colour. Wears a long Black hooded fur coat, Black loose shirt and trousers and a leather chest plate. A black sheathed sword hangs from left hip, ussually covered by cloak.

Persoality: Withdrawn, gives off an icy-cold demenaour and is dependent on Skips. He keeps to himself but when needed he is a ruthless assassin whose blade is cold and unforgiving, Preffers to hide in the dark, has some skill with forging. Will not trust anyone whole heartedly apart from Skips.

History: Brought up within the Wanderer's clan Metal is a born assassin and has killed an equal number of Dragons as well as Vikings. Eventually the Wanderer's Clan was hunted down and after watching his parents hidein his hands Metal fled to Berk and the school. Name: Briarwolf

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Appearance: Medium length, brown hair that shines golden in the sun and is dark when wet; Hazel-brown eyes that are often kept slightly closed, tend to look very deep; light and thin build, unlike the Vikings.

Wears a brown vest over a green wool long-sleeve shirt, scale-and-leather skirt over brown-wool leggings, leather-and-fur boots (the fur being deer fur, from the islands she hails from), leather bracers with strange symbols etched into them. Has a pendant in the shape of a swirl-vine dragon. (It's Celtic, since that's where she's from.) Often wears a black wool cloak she made herself.

Personality: Withdrawn, cautious and wary. She loves dragons, but is nervous around people and will often hide in the background or the shadows. She likes to explore and to solve puzzles, being a thinker more than anything else. Still, she can and will fight if confronted, and can hold her own even against Vikings despite her slight build. She can often be found crafting, building, or tinkering, sometimes hunting, and about a thousand other little things. A veritable polymath, or "renaissance girl." It takes time for her to trust anyone, but once that trust is gained she'll open up completely - and woe betide anyone who breaks that trust.

History: Raised in a family group called a Clan, she was raised as a warrior-hunter and independent person, but to put the Clan first. She excelled in all her endeavours, learning many skills, until the Romans invaded her homeland. After witnessing many atrocities, including the murder of most of her family and friends, she left her home to find somewhere beyond the reach of Rome. Much of her past is kept hidden, as she wanders the frigid northlands, looking for somewhere to call home...

Dragon: {Stormfalcon, Steel-blue with a tan underside, black markings, and yellow eyes, Friendly and playful, very intelligent, loves to stoop from high altitudes for fun.}

Other: Hails from the Celtic islands to the south-west of Berk, now overrun with Romans.

Name: Allyssa

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Appearance: Allyssa is a pale, skinny 12-year old girl with dark brown hair and green eyes. She usually wears a brown long-sleeved shirt with olive-green sleeves, a studded skirt, and long brown boots.

Personality: Allyssa is usally very quiet and seems emotionless, but she can open up to her friends sometimes. Allyssa reads, writes, and draws a lot, and owns a journal she likes to write in. Allyssa likes to spend time alone or with her dragon, Tempest.

History: Allyssa's family comes from an island far from Berk, where dragons roam around their village every day. They never killed dragons, but never befriended them either. Growing up, Allyssa was always fascinated with dragons, and came to Berk when she heard about the School.

Dragon: Tempest is a turquoise-scaled dragon with yellowish-white horns. Tempest is loyal, calm, and somewhat playful.

Other: None yet

Isabo Wolfblood
Name: Isabo Wolfblood        (or just Isabo or even Bo)

Age: 14 to 15

Gender: Female

Apperance: Olive colored skin, with a few small freckles on her face. She has shoulder-length wavy mousy brown hair that curls at the botom. with eyes that shift between hazel (most of the time) to bluish green or greenish blue. She usually wears a pretty long sleeved shirt with a light brown fur vest and wears a spiked leather skirt. Her boots are made of a thick white fur and are knee-height. She sometimes wears a very warm het made of very fine wool.

Personality:
  • Reserved, or also known as introverted, but is very friendly if you speak first.
  • She has a flip personality; if you aren't close to her, she is very soft-spoken, and easily forgotten in the crowd of faces. On the other foot, if she knows you, she is playful and excitable. She is also much more difficult to control, but wouldn't purposefully hurt anyone, unless you make her very angry.
  • She has an extreme temper and can't control herself when she gets to that point. She also holds grudges for a long time, and wont forgive and forget until the other person apologuises.
  • She has issues with speaking in front of a large group, and has the tendency to start shivering/shaking as well as stutter.
  • She, although clumsy, loves to run.
  • Surprisingly, for a dragon rider, she has a fear of heights, which is a work in progress.
History: She was born and raised in a small village. They recently had tamed dragon's to scare away other animals from their crops. It was working great, and Isabo couldn't wait to gaurd the crops against theives and animals with her trusty, scaly, companion. Only one problem. She didn't have a dragon, well, until she came to the school. Why? It seemed all the dragons in the area she was from already had owners, and didn't want to breed. She also came to the school to learn more about dragons as well as grab one to herself.

Dragon: Aroara - Dark silver body with a white underbelly and black spikes. She is very kind-hearted, but has a fiery temper very similiar to her rider, and wont back down to a challenge.

Yay! A proper place for Charrie Intro! XD
Name: Aylen Gryfforson (I finally thought of the last name! XD)

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Standing at 5'4", Aylen has a slim build and long golden-brown hair tied into a ponytail, braided in three different parts. She sports a Valkyrie helm, though not so often, saying that it gives her helmet hair which she downright despises. She possesses greenish-blue eyes a rare occurrence in her family, of which the last member who had it was her great-grandfather.

Her clothes usually are made up of long-sleeved navy blue top, the sleeves of which can sometimes be found rolled up to her elbows. Over this this top is a reddish elk-fur jacket, supposedly a gift from her merchant father. A leather skirt paired with light-brown leggings makes up her bottom, along with dark-grey leather boots. To top it all off is a gold-silver necklace given to her, again, from her merchant father, who brought it home to Berk from the islands far North of the village.

Personality: Many would say she's like a mediator due to her neutral stand on conflict, and she doesn't exactly deny it either, although she'd rather call herself reserved. She is tactful, meaning that she chooses her words carefully when conversing with others in order to maintain peace in a discussion. She, however, has a very bad temper when her patience is worn thin; her temper turns her into a ferocious melee attacker when called for.

Aylen is observant and meticulous, both in the social and knowledge sector, two traits that aid her in picking out any motives that lay hidden from an ordinary Viking's view. It's what she uses to determind if attacking someone is worth the effort. When not in battle (which she hasn't exactly found herself in since the taming of dragons), oftentimes can someone find her in books and scrolls, archiving away.

The residents of Berk know Aylen for her sarcasm, which can strangely bring a cheer to people, something that the girl is thankful for being able to do.

History: Her family originally came from a fishing village on a small island very far Southeast of Berk. When the village was raided by pirates and later taken over by red-coated Privateers, the Gryfforson family sought to find a home elsewhere, and found an opportunity through a young man and his son who introduced themselves as hailing from an archipelago far from the stormy south. All these happened while Aylen was but a baby.

Growing up in Berk was not too hard of a task, neither was it easy, for instead of facing pirates and foreign rulers, the family had to face the fiery problems of dragons. She learnt how to string a bow and fire an arrow during this period, much different from the other Vikings who viciously swung maceheads, swords and other bludgeon weaponry for close-quarters. She had since then learnt to operate the trebuchets and catapults, but found herself seeing the dragons somewhat differently from her compatriots.

Now with the peace between Vikings and dragons, Aylen found herself enrolled into the School of Dragons, befriending her lifelong companion Southstorm, whom she named in memory of her old home. She also became one of Berk's archivist, a duty that has made her family proud.

Dragon: Southstorm, a bluish green Deadly Nadder with a green underbelly and ice-blue spikes. Affectionately called Southy by Aylen and a few others, this Nadder is calm and enjoys helping Vikings with their chores if need be, even if it includes aiding to tame a wild dragon. Don't let his calm and friendly demeanor fool you! Southstorm can turn aggressive and occasionally even violent should his Rider be threatened, and will not hesitate to attack if his Rider is not returned to his side. However, he shares his Rider's tactful and observant nature, of which he will assess an opponent before making a move*.

He's able to produce a low guttural growl out of a Nadder's sound range, a trait unusual of any Deadly Nadder. It's said that it came from the Storm that broke the day before Aylen hatched him. She claims that the Storm came to Berk as a reminder of her old island, and Vikings can identify Aylen's Nadder just by this particular growl, apparently.

Other: She is well-versed in and much prefers archery and stealth, often pinning or immobilising a target from the shadows before they can pinpoint her presence. Melee combat is a last resort.

Aylen has been childhood friends with Skips, and were separated when Skips left to enrol in the School of Dragons. [I need to discuss with Skips on this; I don't want to get details mixed up.]

* You may see an example through the encounter between Mag and Southstorm during the rescue section.

Oh, and I'll be adding another character soon! :D

Excuse my writting style- it's pretty rushed! ^^;
Name: Inna
   Full name: Inna Aoleas Blackaik
   Pronouncation: In-ah, Ah-oh-leah, Black-ache
    Nicknames: Inn (rarelly)
   Family name: Blackaik
Meaning: Inna, has none, as far as I know. Aeolus is a greek god, and Aoleas is a based on it, however, since it's hard to write and spell, she doesn't use it very often.
Age:12 (though it could be 12-14)
   Birthday: 16th July
   Deathdate: unknown yet
Gender: Female
Apperance:  Inna is tall for her age, though since she doesn't entirely know how old she is, it's pretty hard to tell. She is skinny but don't underrestimate her, she knows how to act around weapons and without those too. She has dark red hair- not crimson- dark red tied in an adventurous braid (sometimes in two of those), it describes her very well, though the colour has changed from fiery red due to the living conditions. She has silver blue eyes, like ice, those changed too- they we're once pure blue. (belive it or not bur pure red and blue was too bright for me and often made my eyes bleed! T.T) The reason of the change can be read in history. Her skin is really pale, considering that she lived in pure North- snowy, icy, cold.
She's very picky about her clothing as she wants it to show her personality, her boots are snow white (though they've gotten a little dirty making them a little darker) with black fur. She has spiked shoulderpads that have a barrely recognisable rust. One of her wristbands is filled with spines yet the other one is not (no reason behind that). Her skirt, and shirt is identical to Dagur's and Inna often likes to come up with stories about that, but actually it's just something she got from Trader Johann. She has a valkyrie helmet that she simply adores, so wears it everywhere she goes.
Even so, since it's winter in Berk, for about nine months in a row, she changes her outfit pretty often. She likes to wear a silver and white west, made out of black sheep wool, and has a necklace with a fang. Her skirt, is usually dark grey, but her boots stay white and black (like the ones mentioned before).
Inna doesn't normally wear any warpaint, but she can, when she wants, draw a thunderbolt near her eye, as her mother told her, that when she does, she'll be blessed by Zeus himself.
Personality: People that don't know her usually see her as a proud norse girl wandering around SoD, that is very common for vikings, so many people get fooled by that. If you get to know her as an enemy, she'll be your pain in butt forever, and even longer. If you know her as a friend- you have the most arrogant friend you can find. Inna likes to steal the spotlight and she's realy good at it. Sometimes though, she perfers to stay alone, with herself, and her dragon (maybe). Inna likes to explore around so she knows ever single inch of it. Everynew location is something amazing to see for her. Getting in trouble for her words is one thng she's realy goot at. She doesn't like to lose way too much, so that's a huge weak spot she owns. Inna is rarely impressed by anything but when she is, she'd rater hide it. She's very sarcastic, and it can often hurt someone, though can be very serious at times.
She is a bit of a narcissist at times, but she tries to keep it to herself.
It can be sometimes when she is completely opposite it all. That usually happens when she feels guilty for something she's done and has no excuse for it. Though as I said- it happens rarely. Inna also likes to think she cares for herself only, but protecting her closest friends is the kind and weak spot she has.
Inna is also horrible in leader position, as she has no patience, whatsoever. Unlike her sister, she can't bare bad news, which leads her to 'exploding' each time she recieves those. She thinks of herself as being great in those things, but one other reason everyone chose Ismey as the leader, was, even though she was great at comming up with the battle strategy, she was awfull at handling things that didn't include hunting or hunting. Due to this, she's really bitter, and considers her sister of being guilty of this, as if Ismey is the one who's loved more. She's great at planning, but horrible at writting the plan down. Usually when people remind her of this, she gets really bitter, but at least she'll get shut down for  a while.
History: W.I.P
Dragon: Rosethorn, swift, proud, stubborn, fierce. Her personality is pretty much the same as Innas. She has mint green (or blue- green) scales and lighter underbelly, it depends on lighting too though. Her spines are pure white but sometimes they can look light pink (reeeealy lght pink). She has pink legs, wing pattern and chin letting you see the "rose" in her. Rosethorn loves hunt, and fight. Inna gets in trouble for Rosethorn's attitude a lot. Despite it all, they're best friends and love each other to pieces.
Hades is her second dragon, and he is a dark gray Whispering Death, with red horns and black spines. He is rather quiet, but like Inna, and Rosethorn- he is also very arrogant when you approach him. He 'tends to be grumpy durring day time, due to the sunlight, and perfers stormy days. However, she doesn't have this dragon yet.
Other:
Weapons: She's skilled in many weapons, but her favorite thing to do, is hunt, so kinves/bow and arrow, deinately. She also uses a skinny sword.
Weaknesses: Horrible as a leader, very short tempered
(I am very descriptive, I know! :P)

Hm...
Name: Mudslide Bracken

Age: Seventeen winters

Gender:

Apperance: Barely bypassing the five-foot marker, Mudslide is rather short for her age. She was given her name due to her dark brown eyes and hair, the color of "mud" as her father once said. But this was not a mark of dirt or shame. It was from their love for the earth and the miracles it gave them. However, there is a pair of long scars over her right eye that happened as a result of an incident she refuses to speak of (honestly, it's because I haven't figured out the story behind it). Her long, bony fingers are calloused from years of farmwork, but her back is only bent when she's plowing her father's fields. Mudslide's dark, burnished hair is almost always tied back in a tight braid that hangs below her narrow waste. She is missing several of her teeth and she speaks with an incredibly thick accent that sometimes makes it hard for those who just met her to understand.

Clothing wise, Mudslide usual outfit consists of a tan, long-sleeve tunic with dark brown leather padding over the front and back of her torso up to her chest. Leather bands are tightly wrapped around her forearms and biceps, four on each arm, and spiked leather gauntlets that stop just belove her knobby elbows. Her tattered skirt is layered with a smaller layer of armor and a pair of well-worn, dark pants are beneath. Her belt, made of thin rope, is decorated with discarded baby Whispering Death teeth courtesy of her dragon companion, Sharksneeze. Mudslide's boots are usually caked with mud and the brunette often reeks of sheep and sunflowers.

Muscle and skill-wise, Mudslide is untalented with most traditional weapons. She's too short for spears and axes are too heavy for her to lift in a threatening manner just yet. Still, she has been self-teaching herself how to use a pair a daggers off and on for the past several years. She's still mediocre at best but she still give it her all if she feels she must. Her biggest saving graces are that she's quick on her feet and a pretty good climber.

Personality: With hair and eyes the color of the wet earth, as they are her namesake, this vertically challenged Viking is as stubborn as they come. However Mudslide is unfortunately as meek and mild as a trembling rabbit hiding from a hungry wolf. She's never had much confidence in herself. Mudslide is likewise eager to make others happy despite her social awkwardness. One of her saving graces is being fiercely loyal to those who willing take the time to forge a friendship with this flighty girl. As a result, Mudslide tends to remain close to her dragon companion as he seems far less intimidating to her than her fellow Vikings.

Though she's rather sheepish around new people, Mudslide is a rough-and-tumble sort of gal. She can play rough with the boys and doesn't mind getting dirty in the least. She's always eager to have some fun... just preferably not at the expense of others. However she can be very tempermental and cross with those that mess with Sharksneeze.

History: Mudslide grew up on her father's farm. Shortly after her fifteenth summer, her parents split and her mother left Berk entirely to return to her homeland. She recently joined the School of Dragons after stumbling upon an unknown dragon egg beneath her father's farm while he was attempting to dig them a new well.

Family-life wise, Mudslide is incredibly close to her father that more than makes up for her lack of a positive one with her mother. She's an only child and doesn't mind it one bit. They've never had much money but they've made due just fine. Outside of the small one at the School, Mudslide continues to help work her father's farm. Sharksneeze's digging abilities have been an appreciated help too.

Dragon: Sharksneeze the Whispering Death. Dark, almost pure black scales cover nearly his entire body. The smoother scales lining his underbelly are a faded gray color, almost faintly blue if one looks hard enough. The underside of his jaw is a darkened teal color that it surprisingly colorful despite the rest of his charcoal body. Hundreds of spikes decorate his body and underside of his chin much like your typical Whispering Death. Due to his youth, his teeth are far more pearly white in color as they haven't had much time to be soiled by dirt and beaten by tough rock.

The dragon's egg was found buried in a tunnel beneath her father's farmland and was the only egg recovered that wasn't split open or severely damaged. Like his rider, he is incredibly devoted. However, unlike Mudslide, this young serpent is willing to stand his ground against new adversaries. Due to his young age, Sharksneeze is still learning how to control his jaw muscles and firepower. And, due to Mudslide's sheepishness, this Whispering Death tries not to utilize his fire in uncontrolled, wild spurts since it's caused the Viking to freak out on more than one occasion.

Mudslide has been raising Sharksneeze to the best of her abities since he hatched but fears she's not doing the Whispering Death justice. Still, the dragon shows her unending love and intends to remain by her side until he is no longer able to linger within the living realm.

Other: Mudslide likes to write but feels too embarrased to tell anyone, let alone permit someone to read her work. As a result, she's surprisingly literate for a Viking. She's fluent in Norse (her native tongue) and has been passively teaching herself English, which is still incredibly broken and by no means on par with a native speaker.

I'll add more as I think of it. I'm busy writing something else for a friend of mine at the moment and that's a bit more important to me at the moment.

Second Character

Name: Jarret Gryfforson (The Marauder)

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Appearance: Standing at 5’9” with slightly tanned skin, Jarret is fairly built, but is still much less burly and bulky than the Vikings of Stoick the Vast’s generation. He sports russet-brown hair with tawny highlights, appearing unkempt and yet looking brushed and combed, with a lock of hair braided on the right side of his head. He has greenish-blue eyes just like his sister and his great-grandfather, and a double-scar mark over his right eye from an unnamed dragon. He sometimes wears a strange cap with a feather stuck to it.

Clothing-wise, Jarret is always seen (by those who do see him) wearing a long-sleeved shirt – alternating between dark-red, midnight-blue, and faded green – and a leather button-up jacket of a dark-grey dye; the sleeves of his shirt are often folded up to his elbows, and when they aren’t, leather braces adorn his wrists over the edge of the sleeves, a sheet of metal over each, and the symbol of the Fear Class dragons etched into them, along with some runes below them. Blue-grey trousers and grey fur-and-leather boots make his bottom. His merchant father, too, gave him something to wear around his neck – a silver pendant with unusual inscriptions.

Only worn during travels and not when in familiar buildings, Jarret owns a dark knee-length overcoat, of which he refuses to disclose its origins and his protectiveness of it.

Personality: He shares most of the personality traits of his younger sister, Aylen, but still has his own distinguishing traits that tell him apart from her. Unlike his sister, Jarret is more carefree and outgoing, using his sociable trait to distract opponents into giving him an opening during battle. He can be rambunctious - talkative - at times, letting loose strings of words in a fashion that can leave many staring at him in an attempt to fathom him. Sometimes even coming off as having a flippant attitude, Jarret has recently learnt to mitigate the level of initial distrust he has for others. A flippant attitude only disguises his analytical nature.

Jarret doesn’t bear grudges for very long, but he still is spiteful to those who have hurt anyone close to him, a trait that he has managed to maintain even through a certain point in his life. He has a bad temper as well, which can drive him into danger, for he tends to go in a blind rage if aggravated. From this, some are able to understand his caring nature for those he loves, although he denies it for the sake of his pride.

A few Vikings have noticed him to be more mysterious since his disappearance, accentuated further by his ‘keep everything in the dark’ behaviour.

History: (Mostly similar to Aylen. Duh :P) The Gryfforson family’s old home was labelled the stormy south by a few, especially the young merchant who offered travel to the Northwest, where the Barbarian Archipelago was situated. Escaping pirate raids and foreign rule, young Jarret found himself thrown into the throes of war between dragons and humans.

While trained by his father to fight dragons (as any other Viking child was), Jarret had once complained of his appointed axe to be too heavy to swing on time for an attack, which later led him to almost lose his life when he was knocked over by a Nightmare at the edge of the village. Since then, he experimented with different styles and weaponry, eventually finding his forte in dual-wielding weapons. It didn’t become of much use, however, once the peace was established, leaving Jarret to take care of his little sister while attending the newly opened School of Dragons, whilst his father became a merchant and travelled to new lands in search of foreign markets.

At one point of time, unfortunately, Jarret and his Tinytooth Zippleback was nabbed by pirates, a scene that had left his sister crying for weeks on end. What happened to him in this period is unknown to nearly every Viking, save for Elder, the first person Jarret wholly trusts (other than his sister).

Jarret’s return to Berk brought many speculations and whispers, more profound when the Headmaster declared him fit and knowledgeable enough to defend Berk without requiring to finish his studies. With the recent ongoing voyage to the Northlands, the travellers are beginning to wonder just where in the world had he disappeared to. But there are those who feared Jarret’s skills when they see it – it was “much too slick and deadly to be of Berk training”.

Dragon: Remico & Segno (real names Theo & Kestrel), a rambunctious and cunning male Hideous Zippleback who are equally as protective of their Rider as their Rider is to them. They have dark reddish-brown skin patterned with indigo, along with a cerulean-blue underbelly.

Remico is the devious head, plotting tricks and pranks for battle and amusement, what with his noxious gas ability, while Segno is the calmer yet equally sly head, adding to the mayhem of Remico using his sparking ability. Two heads and two personalities, yet together, they become one calculative and analytical dragon, fiercely protective of Jarret when he is confronted with enemies. Should they find harm to be inflicted on their trainer, this Zippleback will not hesitate to attack.

Unlike common Zipplebacks, this one is especially vicious; Jarret said it was because of an incident during his absence. When not in such battle situations, however, Remico & Segno are cheery, cheeky, and all-round friendly, choosing to negate fights and bickerings, especially amongst other dragons.

Other: Dual-wielding is Jarret’s forte, utilising a blade in each hand to triumph over his enemies in battle. He prefers surprise attacks, but this can be safely and immediately dismissed when he is angered.

((Does this charrie have anything to do with Metal's past group? Maybe. Just maybe.

I left out a part of his history, and it's an advanced permission for you guys to prod him for that missing piece of info, and see how he connects with some charrie's pasts ;P

This is a bit messy, but meh.))

RP, here I come!

Just about finished writing up the Ch. 7 wrap-up, so without further ado, here come my character intros!

Magnus Thorston
Age: 20
Gender: Male

Appearance: 6'3" and built like a tank - broad shoulders, large strong hands, beefy arms, extra guts and glory on the side. XD (He's a blacksmith, so... yeah.) Neck-length, wavy blonde hair with a bit of a stubbly goatee. Bluish-green eyes that often look green at first glance due to his dull grey-green shirt. Usually found wearing his work clothes, a light tan wool vest and grey canvas pants, over said shirt with everything cinched down by an intricately-plaited leather belt and a buckle carved in the shape of a dragon. Most of the time he's wearing wool-lined leather boots, but has been known to go barefoot if it's warm. Especially if he just came from the shop, he'll have a medium-sized hammer tucked into his belt, but occasionally can be sighted carrying a double-bladed battle axe.

Personality: Not extremely outgoing, but sociable when required and jovial around friends. He's highly intellectual, a bit of a polymath, and at times has a tendency to get lost in his own thoughts, exhibiting the sort of eccentricity that so frequently accompanies intelligent people. Often considered unusually wise or mature, or older than he actually is, because he takes the time to engage his brain before opening his mouth. He's unwittingly a bit of a Pied Piper, in that people (most notably his brother) tend to follow him whether he wants them to or not. As such, when called upon to do so he can be a capable and decisive leader. By nature, though, Magnus would prefer to be alone with his thoughts, coming up with an invention or working on a new project in the blacksmith’s shop.

Dragon: Slugbug, a fiery-red-and-orange Gronckle. Cute, lovable and a little bit quirky, just like the car (a Volkswagen Beetle, for those who may not have heard that nickname). Even-tempered, lazy, friendly and affectionate. Loves to just spend time with Magnus, so he’s usually found following him around. Slugbug isn’t easy to upset or anger, but if you mess with his rider… you may not want to do it when he’s around, which isn’t often. He’s loyal to a fault and will stick by Magnus to the bitter end.

Other: Rather unusual for a Viking, Magnus enjoys reading. He was a bit of a social misfit as a young boy because of his intellect, insatiable curiosity and preference for thinking over doing, and would frequently lock himself in his room for hours on end studying a book, playing with toys or later in life, making things. Magnus looks like the quintessential Viking at first glance - he's even missing his left little finger due to a fight with a Nadder - but his few good friends know that he's far from it.

Hammerstein Thorston
Age: 20
Gender: Male

Appearance: 6'1" and decidedly leaner than Magnus. Not skinny, just not bulky. Medium-length auburn hair, almost straight but retaining some curviness, shares Magnus' bluish-green eyes. Hammerstein's usually appear more blue than green, though, because of his deep blue tunic and bluish-grey trousers held up by a wide and unornamented leather sash belt. Unless it's unusually warm out, he wears a bearfur cape with fur-and-leather boots, and he almost always carries around a spiked mace (technically a morningstar, but whatever).

Personality: Practically the polar opposite of Magnus. He's gregarious, witty and friendly, loves to talk (especially about himself) and is impulsive, tending to act first and think later. "Ready...FIRE!...aim." would be one way to put it. Hammerstein's overactive mouth gets him into all kinds of trouble, from getting socked in the face for being flirtatious to getting a poison dart in the leg for being aggressively stubborn, and Magnus isn't always able to bail him out. This is the person the four-second rule was invented to describe: his mouth almost always runs four seconds ahead of his mind.

Dragon: Maceforge, an orangey-tan Nightmare with black “highlights”. Incendiary snout to flamboyant tail, he’s every inch a typical Monstrous Nightmare - arrogant, snarky, self-assured, rebellious, attitude for days and ego to spare. Also playful, clever (goes with the snarky and rebellious) and with a short attention span, he takes great pleasure in pestering Hammerstein (much to the latter’s frustration), but knows when to draw the line... most of the time. He may not like to admit it, but he’s fiercely loyal and will rush to protect his trainer, who he loves to pieces. And like Hammerstein, Maceforge occasionally takes action before considering the consequences.

Other: He usually goes by Mace, because of his weapon of choice, but that can get confusing because he also calls his dragon Mace. A few people have tried to call him "Hammer," short for Hammerstein... They only did it once. The only person who can get away with that is his mother, Reba. He generally gets along well with dragons, but has a slight phobia of Whispering Deaths due to an incident early on in his childhood.

HISTORY: Magnus and Mace are fraternal twins, born just after Snoggletog to Erik and Reba Thorston and raised in Berk from day one. If the name sounds familiar, it should: Erik is the identical twin of Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston's father, making them Mag and Mace's first cousins. Multiple births apparently run in the family... Anyway, Erik is a fisherman by trade (formerly well known for his dragon fighting abilities, even taking on a Whispering Death) and Reba keeps up the family's small farm with help from her two sons and their dragons. He always hoped that one of them would take over the family fishing business, but decided to let them pursue whatever they were good at. As a result, Magnus started making things and Hammerstein started to spend time outdoors and go on hunting trips.

Once the School of Dragons opened, the two young men couldn't wait to get started - Hammerstein was eager for a hunting companion, and Magnus was drawn by a fascination with dragons and dragon training. Then came the attack from the Outcasts and the battle with the Roman army... Hammerstein made good use of his mace on the battlefield, while Magnus put his skills to work patching and repairing the Vikings' armor. And there you have it, up to the beginning of Chapter 7.

Another sibiling character! :D

((I watched Frozen (It's so awesome! O_O), so I finally decidet to add Inna's frozen and incredibly smart sister! ^_^))

Name: Ismey [Ice-May] (also know as Mey)

    Full name: Ismey Kell Blackaik

    Pronouncation: Ice-may, Keh-L, Black-ache

    Nicknames: Icy (rarely), May.

    Family name: Blackaik

Meaning: Ismey, because she was born in May (month, duh), and all the rivers were on ice.

Age: 14-16 (she is two years older than Inna, though since her age isn’t completely clear, so isn’t Ismeys)

Gender: Female

Apperance: Ismey is very much like her sister Inna when it comes to appearance, owning carmine red hair and silver blue eyes. She has two braids, though considering how accurate she is, they are often tied in a much fancier hairstyle. Her skin is very pale. Ismey is not very tall though, she stands about the same as her sister, but considering that she is two years older than her, that makes her a bit too short for her age.

Ismey lived in a snowy island, so she wears clothing that has some fur on it to make it warmer. Ismey wears a white fur cloack giving her a leader like look. She also has an ice blue riding shirt with a dragon (Skrill) print on it. Her skirt is light blue as well but has brown fur on it. Ismey has some waropaint on her, and a huge scar on her face, because of that, she is, after all recognisable from her sister, Inna. She has blueish silver boots with white fur.

Personality: Ismey is realy cold, and shows no emotion to anyone. She takes her leader duties very seriously. Nothing can stand in her way, when she’s trying to do her goal, so she is very competitive. Though on the other hand, the whole responsibility is often making Ismey very nervous, making stress. One thing that allways relaxes though, is flying as far as she can.

It’s very hard to earn Ismey’s trust. Allmost as hard as befriending a rare dragon, which by the way, suits her very well. Ismey has high intelligence for a viking, which let’s her be one step ahead to most of her classmates.

Just like Inna, Ismey likes wolves very much, mostly because it was a very honorable creature back in her island, Harfaia. One of the ancient Gods back there, was a snow white wolf- River Wolf Abhainn. Ismey respects her very highly.

Her eyes realy show off her personality, to say the truth. The ice in it, never melts, and is hard to break. All and all though, despite it all, she’s not a bad person, unlike most people think.

History: LIRP

Dragon: Frozentear, male Deadly Nadder. Owning pretty blue scales with lighter underbelly. White spines. Redish brown pattern. Frozentear, is much like his owner, but unlike her, he is not all cold, and can often be playfull.

Other: nothing much.

Another Character!
Name: Alki Wolfblood
Age: 19 to 20
Gender: Male
Apperance: Dark, almost pitch black hair, and eyes that resemble fallen leaves (brown around the rims that turns into a light yellow around the pupil). He a bit taller than average, and is well muscled from his training. He usually wears a dark brown shirt with a necklace that has a nadder spine for a pendant. He wears normal pants and shoes, nothing notable about that.
Personality: He is kind-hearted, and intelligent, but has the tendancy to be sarcastic, but he would never mean any harm. He is more protective of Isabo than she knows. He loves to read, and tends to get absorbed in books.
History: He was the first-born to Akira and Hurot Wolfblood. He grew up around dragons, and was excited when he got his own, and named it after the hero from his favorite story, Exavier the great. The nadder grew into a great a swift flyer, with a rider to match. They started competing with other riders in town and eventually got to the big league, and became well known and becamed admired for their skills and age. It all changed the day after a competition. Some sore losers from the competition came by and threatened him, and left more than just troubled thoughts, they had taken his young sister Isabo! While the rest of the anguished family planned to get her back, Exavier and Alki took action. They swooped in and reclaimed her, but Exavier was shot with multiple weapons, multiple times, before they were able to get away. They somehow got home, but at a cost. Exavier was very weak and was dying a slow painful death. Alki had to put his faithful friend out of his misery. He has attended school of dragons since the incident, without a dragon companion. Now, he has already graduated from the school and now mainly works as a librarian but can help out anywhere. (Mainly because they feel sorry for the poor chap and he's actually pretty smart, especially for a viking)
Dragon: Exavier (Deceased). He might decide to get a new dragon, but it isn't likely. He probably would go for something small, like a Terrible Terror.
Other: The spine on his necklace he always wears is from Exavier.

((I hope I gave you feels. I definitely got some while typing that.))
((Edit: I fixed his name, thanks to baricuda for seeing that. ':| I probably meant for what whas edited to be his name, but I liked the later spelling better; and forgot to check/change it. Oh well, it's fixed now. At this point, I'm waiting for my chance to go and get him 'nother dragon!))

Appearance: Annabethe is a tall, skinny girl who has long dark brown hair and red eyes. She wears an olive-colored short-sleeved shirt with a skull necklace and a studded skirt.

Personality: Annabethe is the adventurous one of the family, who always take risks. She is outgoing, determined, and bold.

History: Like her younger sister, Allyssa, Annabethe lived on an island where her people and dragons lived together. She had always dreamed of riding one, and came to the School almost immediately after it opened.

Dragon: Flare- An orange and brown Nightmare whose color resembles Hookfang in a way. Flare loves adventure, and taking risks. He enjoys flying with his rider and can be protective.

sapphire

(i dont really want her to be in the rp but im doing this anyway)

name:Sapphire

Age:12

Gender:female

Apperance:sandy white eyes and short, messy deep sapphire blue hair that shows of her turquoise warpaint, you would mostly find her wearing a sky blue shirt with a skull and a navy blue skirt, black bracers with the skrill inprinted on them and lastly she would allso be wearing tan boots with black wolf fur.

personality:kind, sneaky, fast. best way to describe her:She can be like an atomic bomb just waiting to explode but if u get to know her she can be like a flower, she is very protective and would do anything to protect her friends and her dragon, she is very conpetative (spelt it wrong) and has a large ego but she has times where she wants to be alone and during those times u can either spot her drawing, singing to herself or sulking when she is down in the dumps, oh and she just loves to swim.

history:not much is known about Sapphires history exept for how she was found, she washed up against one of the seastacks and that was where hiccup found her, lately its been revealed that she is Dagurs little sister.

Dragon:Seabreez, sea coloured, she is a very rare type of nadder but she isnt stuck up at all, she is rather cool, calm and collected but when she races she likes to test her limits, when she isnt racing or doing quests with her owner she just likes to chillax and she knows exactly what to do to cheer Sapphire up when she is down.

Adaryn

I don't know if I'll actually have time to RP, but I figure it can't hurt to write this up :) Sorry for the length, but it was fun to write so hopefully it'll be interesting to read!

~

Name: Adaryn

Age: 18-ish

Gender: Female

Appearance: A tan, freckled girl with light brown hair (usually in a French braid) and pale green eyes. About 5'6", she has been described as "muscular" and "strong-looking" but never as "chunky." Conversely, she has been described as "slender" but never as "thin" or "skinny." She makes most of her own clothes, usually out of the wool she shears at her own farm, although occasionally she will purchase furs at the market. The result is extremely well-fitting and flattering outfits, with a bit of an unusual flare.

Personality: Transformed from timid, introverted girl to a bold, fiery one (read History). While not aggressive, she's learned to stick up for herself, and won't let anyone walk all over her. A kind girl with a good sense of humor, Adaryn wants to make friends with everyone. She has a good sense of fairness and right and wrong, and she'll plainly say what's on her mind -- a habit that has gotten her in trouble in the past. She is working on being more tactful in her quest to be an ambassador.

History: Imported in her tween years from what she refers to as "the southern country" (very loosely based on Wales, as her name is Welsh), her introduction to Viking life was a rocky one. Her home country was (like most places at the time) very oppressive towards the female gender as a whole. Adaryn, being the fourth daughter and seventh child in her peasant family, didn't have much a chance at bettering herself, so she took the first chance she got to (quite literally) jump ship. After a long journey and more than a few misadventures, she ended up enrolled in the School of Dragons. Upon taking the dragon personality test, she received the result of Monstrous Nightmare, to the complete shock of everyone present (including Gobber, who started to worry that his test wasn't as accurate as he had hoped). Despite her shy, shrinking violet tendencies, she went with her result and selected a Nightmare egg from the Hatchery. There was a great worry that the adventurous and destructive Nightmare hatchling would prove to be her downfall, but Adaryn's hidden personality proved to be more than a match for the little dragon (to Gobber's great delight -- as it turned out, the test was MORE accurate than anyone had dared to hope, at least in this case). During the course of her education at SoD, her shyness melted away, and a spirited girl burst forth with a shout of "Carpe Diem!" (Not literally, but it seemed that way to those watching the transformation.) Despite her complete personality 180, Adaryn kept close to her roots -- once Kalira was big enough, she'd visit her family when she had the time, and she sends them letters regularly. She also grew to become interested in foreign affairs. She hopes to become a sort of goodwill ambassador for the School (a position that hasn't been created yet, but she's determined).

Dragon: A cerulean blue Monstrous Nightmare with a lighter underbelly and black accents. Like the rest of her species, she is fearless, hotheaded, and fiercely protective of her rider. However, Adaryn's more mild tendencies have reduced some of Kalira's hotheaded/aggressive tendencies, and turned her into a huge goofball. In addition to accidentally lighting things on fire on a regular basis, she's extremely awkward on the ground and often knocks things over. She loves playing with leather balls and sheep (surprisingly, she's extremely gentle with them). She absolutely adores Adaryn, and will do anything for her (the feeling is mutual). When provoked, is a fierce opponent and will battle to the death if she has to. She is fast but not very maneuverable in the air, and excels at long-distance flight. She is a little more intelligent than the average Nightmare, but that's not saying much.

Other: Her name is pronounced ah DAR rin (a little bit different from the "official" pronunciation, but whatever). Some people call her "Ryn" for short. She speaks with a slight accent (Welsh, that of her homeland). When she first came to Berk, she made a massive effort to get rid of her accent, but she didn't succeed completely. She can sing like a bird, but only with a strong Welsh accent, so she doesn't sing often. Adaryn lacks many of the skills most other Vikings find commonplace. She can't fight worth a lick, gets seasick on most boats, and has never hunted for food in her life. She was illiterate up until her arrival at the school, and although she has done her best to learn, her reading and writing still need a lot of work. She is very good with the spoken word, however -- she learns new languages quickly and has a large vocabulary. She had also never fished before coming to Berk, although she picked that up much more quickly. Her motto whenever confronted with a skill she is terrible at? "Fake it 'til you make it!" On the other hand, she excels at skills most Vikings have never practiced, such as sewing, weaving, and farm-related activities. She has basic herbal and medicinal knowledge. Her flight skills are about average in most areas, but what she lacks in skill she makes up for in enthusiasm.

I apologize for any spelling/grammar errors -- I typed this fairly quickly and it's very long, so I don't think I'll be perusing it very closely for mistakes. I'm pretty sure I changed from past to present tense (and back!) at least once, so I'm sorry for that as well. Also -- I don't have a last name for her yet (she may just end up not having one) but if anyone has any suggestions they'd be greatly appreciated. Also, suggestions as to how to make her more compatible with other RP characters/the RP story are very welcome. Thanks!!

Very much later on: I've edited this a lot, but nothing fundamental has changed. I'll probably continue to edit as I figure out more about Adaryn's character -- I hope this doesn't bother anyone!

Very Very much later on: Edited Kalira, a lot. Fundamental things were changed. Sorry, guys. Don't worry about editing old posts or anything, we're going to pretend she was in a bad mood or something XD

Depends on your definition of "special"

((I may be able, though, Thorin does train a skrill, so that may be classified as special. If so, I may just listen in to the rp.))

Thorin

Name: Thorin (( His real name is unknown | subject to change as his story is updated))

Age: Around eight-teen

Gender: Male

Appearance: Thorin has well-kept short brown hair that is flipped up at the front, and blue eyes that resembles the waves in the sea. He is just over six foot two, and has a strong-medium build. He has a few notable scars, one is above his left bough and one on his right shoulder, they are a faint against his moderately tanned skin ((more tan than people who only see the sun only three months a year)).

Clothing:

Version one; Casual cloths-cold weather, Thorin usually sports a grey and light brown spotted fur cloak covering a light-brown long-sleeve shirt, he also wears leather cuffs that reach up to his fore elbow's. Thorin wears grey cloth pants, a leather belt, and thick brown fur boots.

Variation # Two; When the weather is warmer, Thorin usually ditches his thick fur cloak, instead he wears a light blue cloth shirt, with a large leather belt strapped around his waist, and he switches his thick fir boots to plain leather boots. Apart from that, he keeps his bracers and his usual grey cloth pants.

Version two; Speciality armour, Thorin has a set of armour as well as his regular clothes, the set comprises of a full Skrill scale-mail suit, a partially complete chest plate, bracers, shoulder pads, iron boots, and a full iron helmet. When in his suit of armour, his whole body is covered in iron. Here is a general Idea on how it looks, Thanks goes out to Primus04 for drawling this and for helping with the design of a few parts like the helmet!

Personality: Thorin is a kind guy who is nether is shy nor extremely bold, he keeps his “lack” of a past a secret and finds it quite awkward when people ask him about it or when someone starts talking about their own history. He usually has a cool temper, but when his metaphorical “cup” becomes full, oh boy, does he blow up. Thorin is protective of his friends, but respect's their choices that may put them in danger, threaten his friends and beware, you may wake up chained to your bed.(( for those who read my fanfiction, you may not like to read the next part ( the [[...]] contains Spoiler's))) [[As I have hinted at in Thorin's story, he is a Ex-berserker, so when fighting he starts to fall into a vicious trance that makes him become a nearly unstoppable force, in this bloody trance he is a danger to anyone around him, and should be avoided at all cost.]]

History: Not much is known about Thorin's past, ever since he lost his memory because of his dragon, he has not gained much back. He even cant remember his own birth-name, nor the faces of his parents, or where he even came from, a sad story indeed.

Dragon: Thorin's dragon is the rare and elusive Skrill, the dragon snatched him up while Thorin fled a burning village. After being hit in the wing by a flying piece of metal shrapnel from Toothless's tail, during the episode “When Lightning Strikes” they end up in the cove where Thorin forgave the beast, tamed it (or so he thinks) and called it Bolt. Bolt is has blackish-grey scales with a dark cyan highlights instead of where the purple should be, and on his right wing he has a large scar where he is missing scales still. While riding Bolt,Thorin does not have to wear his protective Armour, but Thorin has to wear his iron armour during combat situations to protect him from Bolt's electrical sparks that ripple down the dragon while firing its lightning.

Other: Find more on Thorin's story on my “Who am I” fanfiction.

Side note: The Armour that Thoin wears is called a “Faraday cage” To put that into words that people can understand -Electricity is like water, it wants to follow the path of least resistance, that is why water does not flow up hills, and with electricity, the human body would be the hill, and the Armour would be the riverbed- And about resistive heating, the small electrical arch's that the armour protects against should balance out with the heat distribution properties of the metal, but on the other side, A full on strike by Bolt would fry Thorin in his suit. The total weight added by the suit would be 50-60% of Thorin's weight (That the volume- surface area gets inversely proportional, meaning the smaller the body the higher weight% gets.) ((Anyways, Thanks are given to ShadowclawFC, Spirit1998, Lemoneyedragon (for calling in josh), and Joshinator for the fun discussion, and providing great points.))

((Edited: Changed his suit of armour so that instead of heavy iron scales, it is replaces with highly conductive Skrill scales (Based off my theory that Skrill Scales are coated with graphene, which makes sense because of it's extremely conductive properties (Actually the most conductive material known to man) The replacement would be ten times lighter, but slightly weaker, but ten times as conductive))

((Um...wearing iron armour wouldn't protect from electricity, it would accentuate it, draw it in even more. Thorin would have to wear no metal, his armour should be leather and/or non-metallic dragon scale.))

No, the science is there.

((Actually electricity like water wants to take the path of least resistance, in this case the skin and flesh is enormously more resistant to the flow than the metal is, so like a large rock in the centre of the stream, it flows around it. And yes, it is drawn to the armour, but back to the Skrill to be redirected.))

((No, because that only works if the outer shell is completely closed, like a car with the windows up. Armour is not like that. There are a thousand tiny openings, joints especially to allow for movement would provide the opening. Plus, even if it was a full shell (impractical), then he would still be shocked wherever he was touching the metal. He has to be insulated from the electricity.))

((No, as long as the metal is in contact with each other, the current passes all the way around the surface area, even though there are holes, the electricity is attracted to the metal, so any sparks that try to get though the holes, gets pulled to the metal, and any shock would be miniscule because of the resistance the skin provides))

I think we need some citations

((My understanding of science/electricity/conductivity is that metal armor wouldn't prevent someone from being shocked. There's a reason they tell you not to out with a metal umbrella in an electrical storm. If you're like me and you've ever stuck your finger in a light socket (it was an accident!), you know. However, wearing a layer of insulation between the iron and the skin (such as rubber) would stop the person from being shocked. Another possible way to handle this would be to make a very specific "cord"-like thing to direct the current through -- it's sort of just a vague idea at the moment, but if there way a way to make a super-conductive wire (maybe copper?) go from, say, the skin of the bottom of one foot, up the body, over the shoulders, and down to the other foot, WITHOUT any contact with the skin, it would allow the free flow of electicity and nobody would get shocked. This wire could be somehow incorporated into a non-conductive armor, and perhaps the ends of the wires on the feet could be connected to metal stirrups, which is in contact with the Skrill's skin. The rest of the body would probably have to be insulated with rubber or some other non-conductive material -- perhaps a saddle with a rubber underside, rubber gloves, etc. If you're looking for something super cool, there may be a way you could redirect the cord thing across the shoulders to go to another cord up the arm, which would connect to a HUGE METAL STABBY THING that shocks things when you poke them (like a dragony Viking cattle prod)! Sorry, got a little excited. I hope my weird ramblings make sense. Again, this is just my high school level understanding of science, so I may be wrong, but if you really want to prove your point that the metal armor will work, you're probably going to need to prove it by citing wikipedia articles and stuff. Research is good! :) I hope this helps!))

((Something else to factor in: heat. The Skrill seems to exude lightning-like electrcity. Lightning is hot. Hot enough that it's it's own state of matter: plasma. Even if you could prove that your iron-armour idea works, how will you protect from the heat? Because metal conducts heat, and takes a while to cool down. You'd likely be burned alive.))

A continuation of a unneeded argument.

(( your right about the lightning being hot, but your other reasoning is not sound. Lightning is hot, very hot, but it only exists for a hundredths of a second, so it would only be able to transfer a few degrees of that heat to the metal, and when that happend the metal spreads the heat evenly through out the metal. And with such a high surface to volume ratio, there is so much surface area to vent that heat off into the air, like a heat sink. What I am saying is that the heat generated is on par with the heat vented. And about me not being able to prove that it would work, I beleave that I provided a link, you may want to watch it.))

Lemon, you rang? ;-D
Okay, so here's the deal. It's a great idea, and the theory is sound, but the application is difficult at best. That said, real-world physics are pretty much thrown out the window based on what we see in the series regarding the Skrill, so do what you wish with this info.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/9591292/David-Blaines-electrifying-New-York-stunt.html

First, yes. The armor would, in theory, act as a Faraday cage, providing complete electrical shielding as long as all the various parts are in contact. See the above article for video of someone who did it. Leather armor would technically be a bit less attractive to electricity (unless wet), but once hit the body inside becomes the path of least resistance. Considering the fact that lightning bolts are known to strike concrete buildings and trees, a leather-armored person is not out of the question. The metal armor becomes slightly more problematic if one is airborne, because the armor would basically accumulate a tremendous amount of electrical charge with no way to discharge it to the ground. It'd become a big ball of electricity that would most likely zap whatever it touched or came near, like a Van de Graaf generator on steroids.

Second, as Shadow so astutely observed, there is the problem of heat. Everything I've seen in the series seems to imply that the Skrill's lightning bolts are as powerful as the real thing, and that means that poor Thorin would definitely get roasted alive in that suit if hit. My grandfather was in a Forest Service watchtower during a storm once, and when the copper handrail was hit it glowed bright cherry red just due to resistive heating as the current passed through it. Ever seen what a lightning strike does to a car?

Yeah... only on your chest. Not fun. David Blaine would've been crispy-fried due to resistive heating had those lightning bolts been as strong as the real deal, and in my not-so-expert opinion, so would Thorin if we're working with realistic scenarios.

My last full point.

((Like you sat at the end there he would be fried if full on lightning bolts struck him, when I wrote that chapter, it was before the skrill episodes, up until then I thought it generated it like an eel, and the armour was to serve as protection from the sparks that ripples down the dragon's body, which is a tiny fraction of the joules  that are in a lightning bolt, and yet they are still strong enough to seize up thorin's muscles causin him to almost drown.))

Oh, okay...

Yeah, I could see that. He'd still build up a static charge until he matched the Skrill's charge density, but... At this point, I doubt anyone cares. XD

((Honestly, a full suit of metal would just plain be impractical for flight, and once you stepped back on the ground any energy that had remained in the metal would suddenly be grounded and...poof. It would be so much easier to create an insulating saddle. I don't think the Skrill generates enough external energy to harm anything, only when it condesnses it does it become dangerous. Honestly, I think the Skrill's scales are partially insulating in themselves, could be an interesting plot point.))

Uh...

((I hate to even join in on this nit-picky business, but I also have a minor issue with Thorin's armor idea; it's that of a lightning rod. If he's flying around wearing a full suit of armor way up in the sky, he's just asking to get shocked. Lightning tends to strike high metal points if at all possible. Astrid even points this out in the View to a Skrill: Part 1 episode when she reminds Hiccup that he and Toothless are wearing a lot of metal.

Not even bringing in the fact that Skrills draw in electricity from clouds (as Dagur pointed out), Thorin is basically just a moving metal rod that's just begging to be fried thousands of feet up in the air. I'm not even going to get into the heat/joints thing as Shadow and Josh have already touched up on that.

And, on a completely unrelated note, I'm also just a bit biased. If Hiccup couldn't train a Skrill, I have no inclination to believe that some random Viking could. Sorry, but this idea has bothered me from the get-go no matter how many people I see claiming they've trained one. I'm all up for creativity, especially in a fantasy realm such as HTTYD, but this is something I've never been able to get my mind past.))

((Do you really want me to

((Do you really want me to continue this petty Bash-fest? Alright, About lightning striking high metal things, that it true when the path of least resistance is in contact with the earth, secondly, the lightning, no matter what part of the skrill is highest, always hits the wings.

Heat/joints? You mean resistive heating? If the metal was pure there would be little problem with resistive heating, That happens when a electron hits a imperfection in the metal like carbon, when the carbon absorbs the electron it emits a electromagnetic wave, and that is felt as heat.

The skrill in the series just woke up from being frozen a long time, it was defiantly grumpy, Extremely grumpy, that's why Hiccup had a rough time training it. Also, I had my fanfiction written up way before the skrill episodes came out, and at that point everyone thought the Skrill generated its own electricity like an electric eel.

What I am saying is that I did my research, I know how this sort of stuff works, like josh said, it works in theory, as well, he reminded me about resistive heating, while shadow talked about the heat transfer from the plasma-ized air to the metal. If you did not want to join in, my question is, why did you?))

Enough.

((Okay, both of you calm down. There's no "bash-fest" so don't make one. The last thing we need is for people to be arguing. I still don't believe the suit would work like you think, but it's just a story so there's not much to say.

Mud - Rock, Josh, and I all looked at baricuda's fanfiction and we agreed to let him have a Skrill companion, on the condition that we would be keeping an eye on him to be sure his character doesn't become OP.

Now, quit bickering like 13-year old siblings and enjoy the roleplay like the rest of us are trying to do.))

Heh, My bad...

(( I am sorry if I get a little out of hand with all my facts, I just would like people to understand where I am coming from, and I do put thought into it, and when someone else is right, I do give credit. Again I am sorry for getting defensive over the idea. (^.^')

The only reason I chose the Skrill is because Thorin came from my fanfiction, and actually, so far, has hardly made an appearance apart from being transportation, and when it comes to battle he will preform just as well as the rest. With the armour Bolt should be slower than without the armour, I may make Bolt more susceptible to fire damage because of how Skrills are more oriented towards cold than they are to heat. In no way do I plan to make Bolt overpowered, heck because of the fractured relationship, I think they may end up at a disadvantage in some situations. Thorin on the other hand is a pretty good sword fighter, it is only when he goes berserk does he encroach on the realm of being OP, But that is a rare occurrence that he tries to avoid, but when he goes into the trance, he tends to put everyone at risk. Again just my two cents on the situation))

Uh...

((I'm just going to put in my two cents here really quick and then I'm done with this topic of conversation.

In regards to the Skrill, I haven't read anything from ANYBODY on this site, so please don't take offense when I say I still have no idea what you're talking about. But as Shadow has indicated she and Josh are keeping an eye on you, then I have no qualms left on this matter for the time being.

In regards to everything else, I'm not in the mood for a science lecture. Josh clearly has a better handle on this than I do and he seems to either be going along with your information or finds some truth in your sitations.

And, for the record, I'm not looking to "bash" anyone. Yes, that includes you. I was just looking for some information to your "miraculous" character(s). The last thing I want right now is trouble and I wasn't looking for any. I was looking for information. This is a site to have some fun and, I'll be honest, I haven't even joined in the main RP. As of right now, I don't even know if I'm going to if everyone's just going to be getting their undies in a twist over wanting some fleshed out details on matters.

And... I should probably just let this go. No skin off of my bones. I'm done.

Personally, I'm hoping this matter means we can still get along and become friends down the line. I would very much like to still enjoy this site and join in on the main RP if at all possible.))
