Henry Mcnire was yet again fishing with his thunderdrum, windhurtle near the deeper ocean waters. He was just pulling up a net filled with deep sea when suddenly the waters began to stirr. They transformed into a giant whirlpool! Fortinatly they were far enough away to avoid getting pulled in. However, another dragon who happened to be close by wasn't so fortinate.
Form! FYI going to be working on this bit by bit at work ...
number: batch 7 storm chaser, number 2
a large storm blew across Berk. Gothic had predicted they would get one but not exactly when. At the first signs of a storm Berks shepherds rustled their sheep somewhere safe. Lambi was a Viking teen from a shepherd family. His uncle was on sheep duty at the time the storm hit. Lambi's uncle was not the brightest Viking, and often had a flask of ale with him and had a shepherds crook adorned with decorative metal bits.
After the storm his uncle had not returned so lambi went out with a mail terror to see if everything was alright. Up in a meadow where the sheep frequently grazed the sheep were scattered and many branches and old trees were toppled. He saw his uncle under a tree that had fallen - everyone knew you don't go under a tree in a storm! - unmoving, maybe dead. Looming over him was a dragon, sniffing him and possibly scavenging for an easy meal. Lambi yelled and threw the only thing he had, a fish because everyone carried fish around nowadays for the dragons, which the dragon caught midair quickly. Lambi ran over to his uncle. He was still barely breathing. Lambi dispatched the Terror for help.
the dragon jumped away but not far; he had gotten food! Lambi tossed another fish to placate him. Soon help came for his uncle and he was carted off to gothi's. The dragon disappeared but watched closely since he was getting food and he was a scavenger after all. He followed the boy back home. Lambi caught a glimpse of the dragon and flung more fish at him. Long story short, the dragon tamed down and hung around.everyone knew a storm was coming when the dragon disappeared to go chase it.
As for lambi's uncle, he recovered but lost his arm. That was fine on Berk, because now he had something to brag about at the tavern over ale.
Oh! I also have a question - does the storm chaser have back legs?
Are they cute squishy-looking ones like the front? :D
Thank you so much - again!
Thank you - doubly!
In fact I was just going through and trying to figure out if I was missing anyone. Thanks for pointing out that out!
And thank you so much for posting the Storm Chaser Sketches! Squishy-looking feet!
Confession: I like squishing on kitty pads, especially when they are slightly cool (as long as the cats themselves don't mind, of course!)
Could I please have number 3?
Personality- Stormrider is a very playful dragon.
His favourite game is fetch.
Backstory- It was a cloudy day on Berk. It was about to storm.
It was only going to be a small storm, so there was enough food already.
VexyLu was bored, waiting for the storm to hit so she and her dragon, Nibbles, decided to entertain them selfs.
Nibbles was a sandwraith, So she enjoy hang out at the beach. That's where they decided to go.
VexyLu saw a stick and decided to play fetch with Nibbles.
VexyLu threw the stick when all of a sudden something quickly grabbed the stick!
Then that someone was at VexyLu's feet with the stick in their mouth!
VexyLu saw it was a strange dragon.
The storm had started.
VexyLu hoped on Nibbles and flew into the great hall, forgetting about the dragon.
Once inside the hall, VexyLu turned around and saw that the strange dragon had followed her!
She decided to keep the dragon and study her.
I'm surprised no one's adopted #5 yet, he's so cute :3
Name: Peach (I can't seem do decide a name for him, so that's what I'll go for now :3)
Personality: Naturally curious, likes to flick his tongue out when he's unsure of something. Gentle soul, loves belly rubs
While out on a hunt with my dragons for wild forest animals, Catalyst and Banshee was playing as usual, and this time it seems they were play fighting each other. They look like a giant rolling ball of tumbleweed in the distance, if you ignore their playful dragon growls and nips. Shaking my head, I spent the next few hours collecting all the animal feathers and designs I needed, and on the way I caught a rabbit for dinner too. Just as I began walking back to my dragons, I heard a loud, angry growl in the distance that sounded nothing a small animal can make. I quickly rushed to where the sound was coming from, horrified to find that it was in the direction of where I last saw Banshee and Catalyst biting each other's ears (which was kind of cute, and made me stop for a while to watch them). Just as i got to the clearing, I saw Banshee and Catalyst in defensive stance, both growling at a male dragon that's semi-hidden in the bushes with what seem to be a bruised nostrel. They must've rolled into the bushes sometime during their fight and fell onto the dragon's nostrel, waking him up and surprising him! Approaching the dragon slowly, with my hands in front of me, I told my dragons to backdown as I tried to calm him down. After what seems like hours, the male dragon seemed to be calm enough to approach me with curiosity instead. I realized with a start that it was actually a Stormchaser, who seemed to have hurt it's legs somehow as it was slowly limping out of the bush. Carefully taking the shark pieces of rock from his foot (i wonder how he got hurt), the Stormchaser sniffed it's foot and tested it, before happily nudging my hand with it's head. I gave him a good scratch under his chin, and packed everything up ready to move back home when it seemed to follow us and didn't want to leave. Even as i rode Catalyst in the skies, the Stormchaser wasn't far behind, and I ended up adding him into out dragon family, and named him Peach.
No no! Not at all!!
Instead I think it's because this thread is not a "new" topic anymore, so it's easy to miss unless you are already tracking it. This thread only shows up briefly in the "active forum topic" box at right when someone posts. I feel like most of us look at threads through those boxes rather than searching the forum categories.
*Reaches out to squish feet, withdraws with teeth marks*
Good, because I've got the "gotta catch'em all" fever XD
I agree with Ladybrasa :D I think some artists create a new thread everytime they make a new adoptable, but have a link that goes back to their gallery so that their adopts don't get lost in the sea of new threads :3 (Plus we'd all be sad if you made less adoptables, they're all so cute and adorable <3 )
(P.S That derp is so freaking cute)
Pearl's mother, marilyn Garmadon, was busy sowing her vast garden, when suddenly one of her eggplants started walking away! It startled her greatly, because everyone knows eggplants can't walk. She ran over to tug it back into the garden. It proved to be ha.rder then excepted. It didn't budge! She kept pulling, until it finally gave way & she fell back into the garden, the pumpkin's to be exact. There, lying on the ground, was a dragon that blened in perfectly with the rest of the garden. It was green & smudged everywhere in brown dirt.
Marilyn didn't really like dragon's much, but she liked this one, who had excepional taste in food. She brought it back to the house with her, fed it, & named it Peawee, since the eggplants were right next to the pea plants. Peawee has lived happily ever since, happily helping Marilyn with her garden.
Number 5 please
*Clang, Clang, Clang*
VexyLu's shoved banged into solid rock, as she tried digging a hole, next to the carrots, to plant cabbages.
It was useless.
This ground was made up of rock.
It was a miricle someone had managed to plant the carrots next to her. She wondered who did, and how.
VexyLu was on a newly discovered island, far from Berk and the edge. She was completely by herself, unless you counted her dragon Skyfog, who was peacefully sleeping on a rock. The others had put her incharge of setting up a food supply, for when they came back. It was shortly after they had left that VexyLu had discovered the carrots growing peacefully in the rocky terrain.
VexyLu gave up.
She went to get a drink from the stream that was conveniently next to the gardens.
As she was drinking she heard a burrowing sound.
She looked over to the crops and saw holes dug out where she was trying to plant the cabbage.
She looked down.
At her feet was a beautiful, yellow dragon.
'So that's how these people used to plant their crops,' she thought.
After a long day of work, VexyLu and her new friend sat down, next to the rock Skyfog was still sleeping on.
They fell asleep.
VexyLu named her new friend 'SunFly', because 'sun' is essential to farming.

Dugfuss Margrkind was a young Berkian Viking, trying to start out in adulthood. His slightly older cousin, Diggr, had been very enterprising and worked over the barren land on Skertonn Island, a small rocky island off the coast of Berk. Along with his dragons, Diggr had made it workeable to grow things like his berries. Now the island was ready to support a few more farms, so Dugfuss moved over with his Zippleback, FruitNNut. He started off working a small plot of land, growing leafy vegetables early in Spring, as they liked cooler weather and could tolerate some frost. Then when it got warm and stayed warm, he planted squash. The squash grew well, despite the rocky soil. However, the ground started shifting - getting pushed up in lines. It looked like the dirt where a mole had been tunneling, except much much much larger. Some of Dugfuss' squash plants were picked clean of their vegetables and destroyed in the process. Diggr found, too, that something large was eating his berry bushes. If it wasn't for the destruction of crops, the young men might be thankful to whatever was disturbing things, as burrowing under the surface probably helped break down the rocky ground.
The crop loss grew too much, so Dugfuss followed all the mounded tunnels he could until he found a fresh entrance on the surface. While deciding the best course of action, FruitNNut decided first - Veg blew in her Zippleback gas into the hole, then Able sparked it after a minute or two. The ground erupted in flames on the surface and blew up the tunnel. A dragon was ejected, too, amongst the dirt and rocks, squealing in terror. He tried to immediately dig into the ground to safety, but FruitNNut was faster and bigger and pounced on on him before he could get away. They tossed him into a dragon room (which had solid rock flooring) and tried to figure out what to do with him.
Diggr pulled out his copy of the Dragon Journal (at this point there were many many copies around Berk), and the men looked up this dragons species - "Garden Digger". The original text from long ago, railed about how destructive this dragon was to farming and should be killed on site, before too much damage was done and farmers lost their livlihood. However, being 'modern' Berk, there were also a few entries about successfully training Garden Diggers to use their natural abilities to help farmers rather than hinder them. With that, Dugfuss was decided, though he may have grumbled about it a little. It was going to be a long process, but since the field was damaged, there was going to be alot of land to train with. He also found the dragon didn't mind 'sea vegetables' like sea lettuce, so that made rewarding with positive reinforcement easier.
Number: nr 4, batch 8
Personality: Loves playing (especially in mud). She is sometimes (always XD) a bit crazy. She is really friendly and playful.
Backstory: Once me and Gless went on a flight to look for some good fishing areas. I packed my fish rod, map, a spare tail fin for Gless and we were ready to leave. During our flight we saw many things. We passed by the group of Timberjacks, we saw some Thunderdrums and we saw a flying Razorwhip. After many hours of flying we noticed a little island that seemed to be covered with many lakes. We landed there because we both were a bit tired. We sat on a cliff to point the island on a map. After some minutes of sitting and drawing we went to look if there really are some water reservoirs. We found 5 little lakes and 2 giant ones.
-Are you hungry, Gless?- I asked
-Ok, buddy. So let's catch a fish.
We came to one of the little lakes. I was getting out the rod when I heard a very strange sound. It seemed like it was made by a dragon but I've never heard the same before. Gless and me followed the sound. It took us to a giant marsh. We went to the hearth of it and we saw a very strange dragon. It had very big claws and a funny-looking arrow on tail. Gless sat a little distance after a dragon. She knew that I want to tame it.
-Hello, little girl. How are you?
The dragon roared happily. She put out her lick and started to jump. She seemed very playful. I put my hand in front of her. She put her head on it at once.
-Do you want to go home with me?
The dragon roared and seemed to say "yup". I climbed on Gless and we just started to fly home. The dragon followed us with a wierd smile on her muzzle. She followed us until Berk. We became very good friends and I called her Astilla. Idk why. I just tought it fits her.
Hi, I hope he's still available!
Batch 8 Number 3
Westra walked besides Flugpucker, her purple smothering smokebreathe. It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, a gentle breeze was blowing, and there were nice puffy clouds in the sky.
Westra was heading off to her uncles home to do some farming. She mother had told her that she would be allowed to bring one of her dragons, though she only had a few, but to be careful for her uncle wasn't the dragon type.
Then she saw it, he uncles farm. She raced in, expecting a hug or something but her uncle came running at her with a sharp farming tool in his hand chasing something. She dove down and grabbed Flugpucker and held her within her arms. If her uncle was going to hurt her, she would have to go though her.
"What are you doing?!" She asked her uncle.
"That dang digger dragon is destroying my fields again! This time he reached the line. He destroyed my corn feilds! Those always make the most sheep. Now what am I supposed to do!" He yelled. Then he walked off cursing.
"Well maybe I could get this dragon away," she asked.
"You? You don't know anything."
Westra gave him a look of disgust and held out Flugpucker.
"Oh, well, maybe, oh what the heck. He hangs out in the feilds." Her uncle said before heading back to his hut.
Westra smiled and ran off to his feilds grasping Flugpucker in her hands. She slowly approached the feilds. How big where these things? She quickly grabbed a rake, then headed in.
Inside the feilds were plants. And a small redish brown dragon with giantic claws. "That's it?" She said, tossing the rake away and walked up to the dragon. He was focused on a pumpkin and didn't pay attention to her before she was holding him in her hands.
The dragon nipped her thumb but she held on tight. She wasn't going to let this thing go. She brought it up to her uncle's house, though he wasn't fond of the idea and he cursed as she brought it in. She set it down on the table a gave it a carrot. He sat there and looked at it in fear.
"Come on! It's a carrot! Just eat it!" She said, shoving the carrot towards him. He looked very reluctant but he took it and ate it. "Okay, it's time to release you into the wild now." She said, grabbing the dragon and walking back outside.
She brought the dragon a mile away from her uncles house and set it down in the woods. "Okay, time to go." She said, setting it down in the forest. It just sat there and looked at her. "Hello? Move," she said poking it.
Then he launched at her and grabbed onto her shirt. She tried to pull it off but it held on fiercly. They she made sense of it. "Oh, you want to stay with me!" She said. The dragon gave her a sharp nod. "Okay! Let's go home and show you to mom!" She said racing back home with Flugpucker on her tail.
