Thank you so much! I love him!
Can I have number two please?
Name: Lux (Latin for 'Light')
Kaylee was walking to the Great Hall when she heard a loud roar echoing from the Whispering Death tunnels. It sounded like a dragon in distress. She slid down the rope to investigate. After wandering for a few minutes, following the sound, Kaylee began to wish she'd brought a torch to light her way.
Suddenly, she saw several glowing lights up ahead. They were moving around, and as she got closer, she could see that it was a dragon she had never seen before, and a Whispering Death.
The Whispering Death seemed to be attacking it, and although the flashes emitting from the other dragon's back and wings were slowing it down, it was too fast to be outrun.
Kaylee distracted the dragon by throwing stones and as the Whispering Death turned to her, she ran. It following, snarling and snapping its teeth. When Kaylee reached the rope, she scrambled up and watched as teh Whispering Death shot out of the hole. The bright sunlight assaulted his eyes and he screeched in pain before flying back into the tunnels. After a moment, a small head poked out of the hole. It was the other dragon.
It saw Kaylee and ducked back in. After a few heartbeats, it poked its head back out again.
Cautiously, it crawled out and blinked at Kaylee. Then it sniffed the air and began nuzzling her with its snout.
Kaylee scratched it under its chin and it lay down to rest beside her.
Later, she named it Lux and introduced it to her stables.
Personality: Shy, sometimes overly trusting, can be a bit reckless.
Oooooh, oops. I meant to say number one. XD Don't know where the two came from.
SAVE NUMBER FIVE
Personality: cold and ignorant
Backstory: Slate ran away from his home because he wasnt accepted. He found Berk after flying for weeks, and Nadia found him by a beack. She nursed him back to health and brought him back home.
Can I have number 1 from batch two?
Personality: He's sweet and kind. He loves everyone. He has a best friend, Glimmer, a really bossy firefly. :)
Backstory: ((Idk...I just thought it's kinda fun...but maybe only for me... :D :D))
"...I never wanna see you again!!" Rhaeyne turned away from her dragon, and ran into the forest... Her eyes were full of tears by then, but no one was around, so she let them out. Later, when she wanted to go home, she had to realize, she has no idea which way to go. Rhaeyne started to panic... she forgot about everything, and let out a loud Sand Wraith call... Nothing... Right, he's probably still mad at me... She was angry again... She punched a bush, and a firefly flew out. "Oh, I'm really sorry..." She looked after the bug. What if she can lead me somewhere? I mean the sky is cloudy...it'll rain soon... She decided to follow the firefly.
A few minutes later, the firefly got into a cave. Ohh...I was hoping for something like this... She took of her coat, and put it on the ground. It looks like I'll sleep here... She wanted to fall asleep, when a loud dragon roar woke her up. Her heartbeat stopped for a second... it came from the cave... She wanted to run away, but than the dragon gave an even bigger roar. Rhaeyne couldn't not hear the pain in it. Ahh...this will kill me on day... She turned to the cave, and went inside...
She could not see too much, so she walked slowly. Than the firefly she met earlier showed up in the distance... She was glimmering... "Glimmer!! So good to see you!!" Did I just named a firefly? Ohh...let's get over with it... She went closer, and found the dragon. He was curled up... Rhaeyne went closer, and took a closer look where Glimmer signed. She found that the dragon stepped into poison ivy, and it infected his scar... Ohh...you poor thing... She wanted to touch it, but the dragon roared at her. "Hey...it's okaaay...everything is okayy... I will just clean your wound..." She talked in her sweetest voice to the dragon. He clamed down, and she cleared the scar.
When she was ready, the dragon get up, and tried his feet. He felt really amazing, and he lit up. What in the name of Thor?? The dragon she just helped was glowing... You're one really specieal fella, aren't you. She wanted to pet the dragon, but than a huge dark blue thing grabbed her. "Heeyy!! Stop!!" She looked up. "Ohh...now you show up!! But when I needed you, you were playing the angry dragon!!" She was actually really happy to see Nightsky again... Then she realized her sister, Vanilia is on his back... " Ohh...you were getting help?... I'm sorry buddy..." She hugged Sky, and convinced her sister she's fine. "Would you like to meet my newest friend,....Ray..." Huhh...got the name... All three of them went inside, to take a closer look on the Glowy Cave Lizard. "Ohh...and this is Glimmer.... I think they're friends..." To make Rhaeyne's word true, Glimmer flew to Ray, and rubbed her head against the dragon's nose... Rhaeyne already had so many plans in her mind. "Don't look at like that, sis. I don't like it." "Do you think I can train him?" "Ask him..." Rhaeyne went closer to the Glowy Cave Lizard, streched out her arm and waited. A few second later Ray touched her hand. "I guess that means yes." Rhaeyne petted Ray, and all five of them headed back to Berk. "I have an empty Boulder Stable nest for you...I'm sure you'll like it..." She smiled at the dragon, as she was resting her arm on Nightsky...
Number 1 of batch 3 please!
Lancelot was enjoying a cold winter day (he prefers cold of warmth) when a flock of birds that were migrating to south flew past. But that wasn't the strange thing - followed by them was something larger. It looked like ... a dragon.
Lancelot mounted his Razorwhip, Fleetfoot, to take a closer look. As he rose in the air, the dragon released a burst of speed, passing the birds, and to Lancelot's suprise, eating one. Fleetfoot gave a worried look in Lancelot's direction. Lancelot rubbed Fleetfoot's head. "It'll be fine, Fleetfoot. We're just checking out what this is. It could be a whole new specie."
Fleetfoot huffed but rose into the air, speeding after the dragon. As the got closer, it hear the sound of Fleetfoot's wings shearing through the wind, and gave one look at them and dived into the bushes of a nearby three. Lancelot gestured to Fleetfoot to land, and Fleetfoot obeyed.
It was quiet ... too quiet. Lancelot frowned, dismounting Fleetfoot. He noticed a rustle red feathers in the tree. It was the dragon.
"It's okay, I won't hurt you." Lancelot took a fish out of his backpack, offering it to the dragon. It sniffed the food, and took it with it's beak, gulping it down. It didn't look that happy about the fish, but it'd do.
"Hey, you want to come back home with me?"
The dragon gave him a look with his head to one side.
"No? Then where are your family?"
Of course, the dragon didn't answer, and they stood there in silence for a moment. Then without a warning, the dragon took flight, following the flock of birds migrating to south.
A while later, in a warm day in spring, Lancelot found that same dragon again. He'd returned.
Lancelot was happy that the dragon was back. He'd be able to study it now. He spent days and nights studying it, drawing it's picture in the Book of Dragons and writing everything down.
Next winter he migrated again, and came back in time for spring. And he never really stayed by Lancelot or anything, but they both had a special liking towards each other. Lanceot built him a stable, and took care of him. Then every winter Eaglestorm would leave, and return in spring.
Eaglestorm is super picky - he doesn't like fish, only likes certain people. He's also very cautious. He never let Lancelot ride him, even after years and years. He's most definitely not a morning person either.
1 of batch 3 please!
From dragons POV:
I was flying and flying over the ocean, following my pack. This was not my destiny though. I flew off and parted my family, the one I had grew up with. After months, I found an island. Berk, they called it. A human had noticed me and called me over. She had 13 dragons behind her, and they were her friends. Ever since the day I bonded with her, I've been so much more happy.
Personality: Plain adorable :3
Never mind, someone else wants it. 4 please instead!
Is it okay if I change Friit from a male to a female? When I changed the adoptable, I just went for a random one since the pictures wouldn't load on my phone, so can I make Fruit a female? Also, is it a bad thing that I adopted all three? I just really like your adoptables :3
Number: batch 3, #5
(like the others, this will eventually be a full story!) A Viking girl named Ketiley was foraging for clams and winkles and limpets and other shellfish on a tiny island near Berk. She came upon a noisy but small colony of oystercatcher birds nesting. The flock was quite noisy and fluttery, in fact they were quite upset. They were fluttering and diving in a wild black and white morass. Ketiley saw flashes of color and a larger creature on the ground in their midst. It was actually another larger creature, perhaps even a dragon! He was young but quite battered, bruised, clumps of scales missing, and just plain exhausted. It seemed he was hoping to make a meal of the oystercatchers but they were great in number and attacked him instead. Ketiley waded into the fight and fished out the dragon. He tried to peck at her defensively but was much too tired. Instead her arms were a welcome comfort. After finding out the Viking girl had access to eggs and chicken, he decided to stay!
Finally got a little story up:
Batch 3, number 1

So ever since then, webhead has lived close by, gorging on delicious prickleberries.
Kaylee was playing with her Deathsong, Harmony, when they saw a flock of what looked like birds up in the sky above Berk. Her Deathsong immediately flew up before Kaylee could stop him, and bits of amber flew from his mouth as he shot towards them. He managed to censored one of them and flew back down, looking pleased. Kaylee glared at him and he shuffled his feet awkwardly, his gaze switching from his prey, Kaylee, and the ground. Finally, he let it go. It was injured by the amber blast, and Kaylee nursed it back to health. It decided to stay with Kaylee, despited the Deathsong.
Lightfeather is playful and trusting.

Nr 3 will be MINE!!! MUAHAAHAAAAA!!! (lol just joking XD)
So... It will be a boy and his name will be Pliff. So his personality will be this: he is crazy and loves partys. He likes spending time with his friends and dance with them. Backstory: First Pliff was just a normal bird but he had a very strange story that changed his life. It was 2017 year and he was flying through the sky. He sat on a big tree next to a factory and started to sing. After a few minutes he heard a strange noise and a factory explode. He felt asleep. After some hours he awoke to find himself in another body and to see people looking at him. "The bird mutate after an explotion of the factory! That is... Amazing! And scary!" - some said. Another said: "A monster! A monster! Run away quickly!". An some were just staying with an opened mouth and looking at him. Suddenly a big police car arrived and the policemans started to go out from it. They threw a giant rock on Pliff and he fell asleep again. After some hours he awoke to find himself in a strange machine. It was a time machine. Suddenly he teleported to the past. He saw a beautiful island and quickly flew to it. He met many dragon-friends and befriended a girl called Zikta. He has a very happy life now. Even better that in year 2017!
When I was doing that (I mean the nr 3 request) it was the only which was able to adopt! Idk...
Number: Batch 4, #4
Story Synopsis: Gaukr was an older teen Viking, from a family of fishers and sailors. Despite the popularity of Dragon Racing, Berk still held the annual Regatta (see "Dawn of the Dragon Racers" movie short), in which Vikings built ships and competed to see whose was faster. Gaukr, like any teenager, wanted to impress the ladies and his peers. He built a faering (small boat) for the competition. He took it out for a test run, but neglected to pay attention to the sky and weather predictions. A storm blew up, and he was blown away from Berk. He was exhausted and didn't know where he was (he also neglected to bring any directional equipment like a compass). He heard a lovely singing and decided to follow it in case it was someone who could help. He ended up beaching on a wide-based sea stack. Exhausted, he fell fast asleep, lulled by the singing. When he awoke, she thought he was delusional, because at first it appeared the grey rocks and seaweed were moving. Instead it was a dragon, curious about what had washed up on his seastack. The dragon was only a little apprehensive. He had seen humans many times, as they were attracted by his singing. (fortunately for the dragon, the humans he met were only curious, not violent). Gaukr was stranded and ate fish and seaweed, and built up a repore with the dragon. Finally, he climbed to the top of the sea stack and was able to light a fire, and beckoned the dragon to sing his heart out, in hopes of catching the attention of a passing ship, dragon, or dragon rider. It did catch the attention of a Berkian stonesmith named Skammel (he's from another story). He was able to lead Gaukr back to Berk. The sea dragon decided to follow, and helped push the boat, as Gaukr did not want to leave the boat he had spent so much time on. They arrived back, Gaukr with a new dragon friend, and wondering if he could get away with a "dragon-powered" boat for the Regatta.
(I've actually got a short story written for Tatters, but its hand written and now the issue is finding time to type it out ...)
Ahh, so you've read some? That's nice to know! I'm not sure if anyone actually did (except the peeps having the adoptables, and maybe one person on the httyd fanon wiki I post them on).
For me it doesn't feel satisfying writing just a paragraph or two. I want to have a fleshed out story. Also, its just good for me, you know, keep the brain active and all ... Also your's and other's adoptables deserve it :)
Actually I just realized that your species information for previous batches are no longer available. Is it possible to repost those? I like to include species info under the stories :)
Batch 4, number 1.
Freya never had a dragon. She's seen Lexa train hers, but never trained one herself, because she'd been too busy with training for battle. But today she was going to train her very own dragon. And she knew exactly which dragon she was going to train. She was going to train a Singing Fin Wing.
Freya had heard about Singing Fin Wing's many times, and heard of their beautiful voice. And she was going to go searching for them by following their singing.
Freya climbed aboard a her trading ship, which she only used about once a year to go trade by some distant land. There was enough space for her, the Singing Fin Wing (that is, of course, if she succeeded in training one), a big sack of fish and dragon nip, and extra space in case of an emergency. She nodded. She was all set.
She set course due south, the first place she was going to search. She always found south a lucky direction, but she didn't know why. And even if she failed this mission on training a Singing Fin Wing, she would still enjoy the beautiful trip.
She breathed in the morning air. Everything seemed calm, silent. But that was interuppted by the sound of flapping wings. Moments later, a thud sounded on deck, and Freya swirled around to find her sister, Lexa, and her dragon, Starblue.
"What are you doing here?" she demanded.
"You don't seriously think you're going to succeed in training a Singing Fin Wing on your own, do you?"
"I can still try. Who knows, maybe I'm a natural."
Lexa gave her a look. "Well, I'm stil not letting you go by yourself. You might be the oldest, and better at training with axes and swords and such, but I have the dragon training skills. At least, until you learn how to train a dragon yourself."
Freya thought for a moment, then shrugged. "Fine, I'll let you help, but I know what you're thinking, and there is no way I'm going go by flying. Nope, I much more prefer sailing."
"I knew you'd say that," Lexa gave her a smirk while Starblue lifted his wings, and they hovered above the ship.
"What are you doing?"
Without an answer, Lexa surged forward, and Starblue grabbed the nose of the ship. Slowly they sped up.
"It's going to be much faster if Starblue drags the ship. You don't have to ride Starblue, but you never said anything about having Starblue help you sail."
Freya huffed, but didn't argue. Lexa had a point.
They sailed for a few hours, searching, listening. They took snack breaks in which Starblue cooked the fish and they ate.
"Ugh, this is taking forever," Freya whined.
"Well what did you expect? You're not just going to wander upon a dragon in a few--"
"Shush!" Freya said, holding her finger to her lips.
"Don't shush me!"
"No, seriously, listen!"
They listened, and in the distance, a gentle melody could be heard. Lexa and Freya exchanged a look, a smile spreading on Freya's face.
"We found one..."
Lexa patted Starblue, who understood immediately, and listened too. After a moment of figuring from which direction the singing was coming from, Starblue took off in the direction of the singing.
After a few miles of sailing, the sound growing louder and louder by the second as they got closer to the dragon. Finally, they reached their goal.
On a pack of seastacks, a beautiful blue dragon stood there, singing into the soft breeze.
And so they tried the normal training method, Lexa guiding Freya through it, step by step. Eventually, they got the dragon off the seastack. They lured it to follow them with offering it a fish every now and then. It was following the ship in the water, and Freya through a fish every time it hesitated, and it took the bait.
Eventually they got home, and a bunch of superior dragon trainers took over, convincing it not to fly away or hurt anyone. And Freya went through the slow, long process of training Curanian.
After a few months, they fully bonded. Freya could not ride it because of limited flying, but that didn't change her love for the beautiful sea dragon. There was still much to, and the bond was still not fully complete, but they'd get there eventually.
Personality: Caring, adventurous, free-spirited, too curious for her own good.
