~Sky and Ocean
I was looking out upon the lake, I was leaning up against my pet dire wolf, river.
It was nice and peaceful. Just then river decided to give me a big lick on the face.
I imeadiatly jumped up, I kinda yelled. "agh! River, I know what you've been eating!"
Riverlowered her head as if to say sorry. Even when she was as low as possible she was still massive, she reached as high as my waist when she was as low as possible. "Oh well, it's okay, I'll just wash my face."
River imeadiatly perked up, I went to the lake and splashed a bit of water on my face. After I finished cleaning off my face I went back to river, leaning up against her I dozed off.
(( You said we may start posting, so I'll go ahead. If you wanted to go first before us or anything let me know and I'll edit this ^^ ))
Echolyn Kym Astron, known by everyone as Echo, was up early in the morning. She was sitting by the water, her combat boots and socks taken off and strewn across the shore. She sat on a dock at Cradle Harbor, her toes dipping into the cool waves.
She smiled, looking over to her small ship anchored in the harbor, named The Star Sailor, that she had taken with her when she left her family and tribe of sailors some years ago. Her plan had been to go off on her own for a few years, which she had done. But not for nearly as long as she was hoping. Because then she met Wallace, and ever since they teamed up on their first mission together, they had stuck with each other.
Echo sighed, pulling her feet out of the water and hugging her knees to her chest. "Shouldn't be long till Wally wakes up." She mumbled to herself. "Better enjoy my few moments of solitude and silence."
She crept behind a tree. She saw her target. She teleported behind a tree that was on the opposite side of the river and looked around the tree. Still within range. She teleported right to the closest tree near it. She stepped out from behind the trees that surrounded the rivers and walked behind him. Quickly and steadily she went out and poked him. She quickly teleported behind one of the trees while Cody looked for her. She almost had to cover her mouth from not laughing. She couldn't take it anymore and let the luagh out and allowed herself to fall onto her back laughing her head off. She lifted up her hands asking for help.
She walked out from the left corner of the room with a drink for her master on a tray. She walked over to him and held out the tray. "Anything else?" She asked him.
Tracking! No time to post, gotta go to sleep.
Tracking! I have to go as well.
Wallace opened his eyes and yawned. He stretched and looked up at the sky. Still morning. He got up and looked over the edge of the boat, they were docked in Cradle Harbor, and he could see Echo at the edge of the dock. "Good morning, Echo. You're up early." He called to her. He stepped off the boat and walked over to her, stretching again. "Still a bit early for me but if you're eager to get going I can deal with it. This contract should be pretty easy, it described a 'grim reaper' we're supposed to hunt down, but the monster population is so low in this area, someone probably just saw a wraith or a banshee and freaked out over it. We'll be headed back for the reward money in 2, 3 days tops." He sat down next to Echo, "I've never been this far east before, should be fun to explore somewhere completely new again."
Echo glanced at the ship, as Wallace callled out to her. "Morning Wally." She said, giving him a small wave. She shrugged as he sat beside her. "I'm fine to start out whenever you are. If it's too early for you, I understand. You've never appreciated the beauty of a quiet morning." She teased, stretching her arms.
"I've been over that far once before." She said. "It's nothing too special. But you may find it fun."
Cody faked tapper her on the hair fluff. She tried to queit my laughter and it subsidedly slowly. She lifted up her both of her arms up, helplessly waving them in the air. "Could I get some help here, Cody?" She said, pausing her arms in mid action.
"Oh, so this is how it's going to be," she said. She brought one hands to her mouth and made a clear, loud whistle. She looked behind her and saw a bush move. Then suddenly a neon zebra hopped out of the brush and charged Cody. The zebra circled back and Magik grabbed his mane and pulled herself up. "Thanks, Whowaka," she said, brushing through the zebra's mane.
It was early morning. Kanesnya reached the storage room. As she reached out her hand to open the door, she pricked her finger on a twig. Kanesnya tried sticking her finger in her mouth to stop the bloo.d, but it came anyways. Before she knew it the dreaded glow came. Kanesnya stuck her hand in her cloak to mask the light. This was the reason that she was leaving. She needed someone to help her control her magic, but none of the other Ilk knew how to control theirs either. Kanesnya knew that the world wouldn't accept her because of how she looked. If only someone could see her true form! Gingerly, Kanesnya placed her hand in the imprint on the door, being careful to cover the light with her cloak. Once inside, she rested against the wall. Magic made her dizzy and kind of sick. Getting back to her work, Kanesnya grabbed a bundle of suplies. She opened the door again and ran out, into the forest. Almost at her limit, she kept running. She...couldn't...stop...now. Kanesnya grabbed hold of a tree to brace her swaying body. A blue light came from her hands, an she pulled back. She vomited. As the light began to come in, Kanesnya's world went dark.
Daemon folded his hands together, staring at his wall of plans written down on large sheets of paper. Most were held up with blooded knives, but the others were clean. Oh, what next? Who should be his next target.
His eyes darted across the room at his "friend" who brought him a drink. She was forced to join the evil side to herself safe. She was a good sidekick, though. " Thank you." He thought he'd at least have some manners towards her.
He took a sip of his drink, before looking back at his plans. " How about we steal from a nearby town? We hadn't had much action in a while, have we?"
( No idea what town it would be. I'd have to look back at the map.)
Rachel was still dozing off, river decided that Rachel had slept in long enough, she started nuzzling Rachel with her bit wet nose.
Rachel imeadiatly woke up and looked around. "Huh! What!" She said, it wasn't long before she figured out that it was River. "River!" "I guess you want to go running, just let me get into my suit, just in case." She said, Rachel then got up and walked towards her hidden, temporary shelter. River thumped her tail before getting up and following. After a quick change Rachel came out and got on river. "Okay, let's go girl!" At those words river went tearing out of the woods, and onto the shore of the lake. "Woo hoo!" Rachel shouted as river ran.
"Well the closest village is Fredinand. We would have travel over the mountains and through the forest. I mean, we should do it. Is there anything in particular that you would like? That village does have quite a few useful items." Kinkaloo said, hoping not to screw up. She knew that Daemon would kill if she did any huge mistake.
"Yeah! You better run!" She said quickly laughing. She mounted her zembra and walked over to the pond that was near were they were, Lake Luckin. She walke dover to the faceless pale boy and offered a hand out to him. "Need some help?"
"Gotta be well rested if we're going to spend the day adventuring." Wallace said. "I guess we should head out to the nearby cities, see if there are any rumors going around about sightings of this "reaper"." Wallace said, and pulled out a map of the area, "Looks like all the settlements are to the south, North is a bunch of rough terrain and uncharted land." Wallace got back up to his feet and held his hand out to help Echo up, "Ready to get moving?"
"Sounds like a plan." Echo answered, taking Wallace's hand and using it to pull herself up to her feet. "Gotta grab my shoes." She walked down to the shore, pulling on her socks and shoes. She glanced back up at Wallace as she laced her boots up. "So, we're taking the ship? Or are we going on foot?"
Note* I won't be active for a bit. I'll jump in once I'm less busy
Cody splashed her with lake water. She stood there soaked. She raised her hair and moved the pink fluff elf hair that was in front of her eyes and moved it out of the way, it was still dripping wet. She then stared at Cody and turned her eye color red. She squinted her eyes and continued staring. "This. Is. War," she said. She teleported up behind Cody and pulled his blue hood our his head. She then pushed his head underwater and teleported to a nearby rock, sat on it, and crossed her legs. Then she smirked.
Julia was walking through the Isolated Forest, disguised as a random man she saw when feeling the Village of Nel. In her hand, she held a large sized diamond and examined it. She had made a little "journey" to the Village of Nel and stole an expensive looking diamond on the way. Knowing the forest like the back of her hand, she wandered deeper and stopped in front of a large tree. She opened a well hidden door in the bark and stepped inside. There led a stairway downwards, in the place she called "home".
Magik snickered as Cody turned his head away from her. He seemed only to do that when they were in a very bright light, she didn't know why. She stepped off the rock and streched her neck. She walked over to Cody and sat on the ground by him. Whowaka trotted over and licked Cody's face. Magik giggled, "What do you want to do now?"
((Is there anyone that Rachel can interact with?))
"We should go by land, all the settlements are landlocked so this is probably the best dock we're gonna find." Wallace got back on the ship to pick up his sword and shield. "It looks like Fredinand is the closest to us, it's just to the southeast from here." He attached the shield to his arm and sheathed the dragonbone sword on his back. "Ok, let's head out!"
(Ug, I'm sorry. My minds been off lately, I'll change it right now.))
Echo groaned inwardly. She didn't' enjoy traveling on land. But she smiled, walking onto the boat. "Alright. Just let me grab a few things." Her weapons were already in her belt. Two pistols, a dagger, and some other materials for various situations. She grabbed her jacket, and gathered her loose red hair into a knot on the back of her head.
"Apen!" She called. "Time to go!"
Her small black and white parrot, Apen, fluttered down from the mast and settled on her shoulder. "I don't want to go." He complained. "Why can't we just sleep? All day?"
Echo rolled her eyes. "I don't know. Why can't you only repeat whatever I say like a normal parrot?"
"Because I'm not a normal parrot." He replied.
"Really. Hadn't noticed." Echo said, stepping off the boat with Apen on her shoulder. She smiled at Wallace. "Ready. Take the lead, partner."
(@Zuski (Sky and Ocean) Can you post the map here? It's awkward and frustrating trying to figure out where everyone is.)
"Only if I can to get some poisonous berries to make more explosives!" Magik said back to him.
After a while of running river froze and stiffened. 'Oh no she's getting ready to bark.' Rachel thought.
Sure enough river started barking. Rachel peaked out from around river's head. Rachel saw a girl with pink hair, a neon zebra, and someone with no facial features. Rachel hid back behind river and whispered. "River be quiet!"
River gave one more bark.
"Hey!" She yelled, "WHOS PET IS THIS? AND WHY DID IT SCARE AWAY MY WHOWAKA! I NEED ANSWERS YO!" She teleported all over the place trying to find their subsect, when she finally came to a girl.
Rachel did a face palm before muttering, "why can't you ever just be quiet?!"
Just then the pink haired girl appeared.
"Gahh!!" Rachel shouted in fright before falling off of river. "Ow."
River stood over me and growled at the girl. "River down." Rachel said. River obeyed and stepped away from Rachel.
Rachel got off and brushed herself off. "River is my, sometimes disobedient, dire wolf. Sorry that she scared off your pet. Also you should be more careful when approaching a giant dire wolf." Rachel said gesturing over to river. River growled at the girl in response, keeping a close eye on her.
Kanesnya took out a map with a piece of bread in her mouth. She had woken up a few minues ago, and was getting stronger with every minute. By her estimates, she would reach Luckdin River by sundown if all went well. It looked like it would. Among the suplies in the bag, there were strippes of leather which she had carefuly wraped around her hands. Kanesnya was placing everything back in the bag, when her she felt a stone on the ground. She brought it up to her face to look at it. Kanesnya gasped. The Yon family symbol whas etched on it. She placed it in the clasp on her robe for when she came of age. Like an earthquake, thu truth came pounding at her.
It was her hated mother's.
Kanesnya found it hard to brush off her anger, but she did. She swolowed her bread and continued walking.
Magik bit her lip. "I'm sorry that I just popped in front of you, that was rude. I'll try to be more careful. I should of have thought about the giant wolf before, I could have been seriously injured. And tell him I said sorry, about everything, especially calling him a pet, that could make anyone angry. Heck, my zebra would be angry if you called him a pet. Well. Um... I'm Magik. And my zebra that is somewhere in the forest is Whowaka. Nice to meet you." She said putting her hand out and shaking it feircefully in the air.
"There are more wolves like her, that are wild. And she will attack if she feels as if your a threat. And my name is Rachel." Rachel said, she looked at Magik's hand that was shacking in the air. Just then river got in between them. Pushing Magik and nuzzling Rachel. "Ugh, river seriously?" Rachel said before getting up on river. River shifted around.
"Hey, you want to get up on river to see if we can find your zebra?" She asked.
"Sure! he's probably hiding behind a tree. He thinks no one can see him but he's neon and everyone can. Just don't tell him, he'll get sad." She said to Rachel. "Into the woods!" Magik said, heading into the wood.
"Okay let's go!" Rachel shouted before riding off on river.
Magik went deeper into the forest. "Whowaka? Whowaka?" She shouted off into the forest. She looked around trying to spot the zebra. He must have gone really deep this time. "Wnowaka?" She shouted again. Magik teleport in a tiny ring within Rachel's view sight. Then Magik teleported next to Rachel. "Can River hunt Whowaka without killing her?"
She slowly walked away from Deamon. He didn't seem to hear, so she would attack the village by herself. Well not attack, it would be more let's sneak in and silently walk into an old widow's house and steal her gold coins. No she would do better than that. She would have to try harder than that. Maybe try to find a largish ruby or even a piece of jade. Anything that had some value. Kinkaloo looked down at the dress she was wearing. A rather tight red dress that had lily blossoms going down the dress, and at the bottom had a slit at the bottom. Then she brought her wings to their full extant, which isn't very big. She hadn't left Mount Pillar in a long time. She looked at her dark purple scales that ran over her body. The smooth protected scales that kept her safe. But would they be enough? They would have to work. She looked back at her master and flew out of the mountain.
"Sure she can. She just needs a scent to track with." Rachel said.
((I'm gonna be gone visiting family, if I don't reply to your post within 24 hours then you can control my character. Just not outside of her personality.))
((Sorry for being really inactive, work and getting ready for school to start back have kept me pretty busy. I'll make a real post tonight.))
